Pros:NothingCons:The office called me 20 minutes before my 8am pickup time and told me they had absolutely no cars. This was a huge problem because I was going to business meetings with the car. I had to take a $450 cab ride to get another car. I showed up to my very important meetings late and flustered ;((Reviewed Feb 2 2020

Pros:Absolutely nothing.Cons:Everything. This was the most messed up situation. I was late to pick it up. So they gave away my reservation and kept my prepaid booking. Would not refund me or provide a car without making an entirely new booking.Reviewed Apr 1 2019

Cons:The staff was not present for pick up. We waited about 15 minutes for the staff to return then left to run other errands for about 45 minutes. Upon our return we waited an additional 15 minutes for the staff to return. A 60 minute wait is unacceptable.Reviewed Mar 3 2019

Lack of upfront informationPros:The car was modern and new.Cons:When we picked up the car the Hertz representative failed to mention that they had a out of hours drop off cost for that particular location (and I assume all locations), despite our booking stating that we had planned to drop it off out of hours. I didn't know their office hours (who can blame me), so feel that the representative should have out of common courtesy and good service mention that they would be closed at the time I had booked to return it and that extra costs would apply. In my case, their office closed at 12pm on a Saturday and my booking was until 1PM ON THE SATURDAY, only 1 hour after they closed for the weekend. I was therefore for some ridiculous reason responsible for the vehicle until they NEXT OPENED although I wasn't using the vehicle and had dropped it off at the paid for and agreed time in perfect condition. If the representative had simply informed me "hey, if you drop it off an hour early you wont get charged so much extra", then I would EASILY have done so. It may be that some people cannot drop off earlier, so be it, at least they were informed and given the option, but in my case, I would have been fully able to accommodate given the option. Furthermore, I struggle to understand why Hertz would have this policy in place considering: say I had dropped the car off right before they closed at 12pm on the saturday before reopening monday at 8am - the office is closed therefore that vehicle would not even have been able to be rented out to another customer had Hertz even wanted it to be until they reopened on Monday. Furthermore, I have even extra charges on my credit card (4 seperate charges on separate days to be exact) that I do not know what they are for. I left a note to the regard above on the drop off envelope and they still charged me without calling to discuss. When we arrived to pick up the car at the exact time that we said we would, the car wasn't available and we had to wait 30 minutes to get it. And lastly, the vehicle had a wheel bearing out that made for the long distance driving we did a little irritating.Reviewed Sep 11 2017
