Hertz classifies the Rav 4 and the Corolla Cross in the same class. So you think you are getting more for your money, but you aren't. Also you have to read the small print. The deposit that you have to leave if you useyour own insurance was so big that I had to buy their insurance so the hire cost me 50% more than I budgeted.Reviewed Jan 20 2026

Had to get local police to help with the changed office pick up point, Then waited 45 minutes at the drop off to get a ride back to the cruise ship and was literally less than five minutes from being left behind. Car was old and needs front end work. Almost felt dangerousReviewed Jan 13 2026
