Cons:The Tom Tom would not take the spelling of anything. It tried to auto correct. Very painful.

Cons:Cosmetic scratches to wheel of car made the company charge my credit card $9,000 (yes US dollars) while they "investigate" I simple hold on the card would work sufficiently to confirm funds are available when an "investigation" is completed.
Cons:The quoted price was USD 90, I ended up paying $190!! Despite declining additional insurance, they said they have to charge my credit card (not put a hold, but an actual transaction) for the value of the rental car (approx. $5600 USD). With a slight fluctuation in exchange rate from about ZAR 15.62 to ZAR 15.82 USD, I ended up losing money when they "refunded" me for the value of the car after returning it. Nowhere did they mention I'd be subject to such charges when I booked the car through kayak. Very dishonest practice that misleads customers into thinking they will be paying less than what they will actually end up paying. Might as well book directly through the company next time. Dont bother with this one. They also did not have the right type of vehicle that I booked for and said they only have a smaller size car when I arrived. Might be better off using Uber during your stay.

Excellent service, great car
Pros:We were upgraded from our basic rental into a small SUV for no extra charge, it was clean and in great shape and took us all around South Africa no problem. We had a USB plug in for our phones which was nice to listen to directions or our own music.
Cons:Nothing was wrong with the car or service, the only thing I could suggest is letting the renters know about the spare tire in case of emergencies.
Pros:Nice clean, good running vehicle. Efficient at pickup and drop off
Pros:The car was clean and worked fine and the check in and out process were fairly straight forward - returning the car was really easy.
Cons:I usually waive insurance because I've never had an issue with driving. However, in South Africa, waiving insurance means they put the entire value of the car on your credit card as a deposit. So I ended up paying for insurance (and not needing it) rather than carrying such a huge amount on my credit card. Apparently you can avoid that with a letter from your bank - but that was not clear ahead of time and after having rented in many countries, this was a first.
