Cons:I accidentally booked the car for Friday to Monday, when we needed it for Thursday as well. When I called to add the additional day, I learned that the price would Go from $84 to $212. I canceled the rental and went with Thrifty instead.
Pros:We rented a minivan to fit 2 toddlers (with car seats) and 4 adults. We received a Toyota Sienna. Although I put in same pick-up/drop-off when I searched for a car rental, Kayak gave me an option with a different drop-off. I didn't notice this until the day we were flying into our destination. However, the check-in process was seamless and the Hertz representative changed the drop-off for us without any issue. She was VERY polite and friendly. When we dropped the van back off, Pete checked us in. He was very nice, and when he realized we'd have 2 children and car seats to tote back over to the shuttle to get back to the airport, he found someone to drive us to the airport in the van we'd rented since the kids were already strapped in. Douglas drove us back and was another wonderful person we encountered with Hertz.
Cons:The only thing we didn't love was that the van we rented had a cigarette smell. It slapped us in the face every time we opened the door. It wasn't strong enough that it made our clothes smell, but it wasn't pleasant driving in it, especially with two kids.

Cons:I booked a small car because I was only user and no luggage. Just needed it for 5-hour round trip and wanted good mileage instead got Nissan Rogue SUV. As it turned out highway mileage wasn't bad at 25 mtg but not what I was looking for.
Cons:Website said pickup was in Cleveland, but it was in Beachwood much further away.
Pros:Nothing.
Cons:The price quoted at reservation was no where near what was charged. Add $100 to whatever they quote.
Cons:Smaller sized car than expected, and incorrect overcharge on invoice even though car was paid in full at time if booking, they decided to add some miscellaneous charge that they could not later explain.
Pros:The staff was great. The car was super nice and comfortable. Little pricy, but the experience was good.
Pros:The car was fine. rental place was way too far from airport, but getting there via shuttle was not that bad, just added an extra 20 min
Cons:I did not get a receipt, system was broken when I dropped off car.The person I dropped the car off to was in such a bad mood, I thought he was gong to kick the car. he was so visibly mad that I thought he was going to do damage to something. He told me" I can't give you a receipt, I can't ******* do anything just get out of here and get on the ****** shuttle. He said it would generate a email...never received that either. I need to call Hertz this morning to make certain that they actually have me as dropping the car off. not happy
Pros:The car had satellite radio which was great but it kept dropping for no apparent reason. Had to press options on the steering wheel several time to get it back.
Cons:There was a huge puddle of water that collected in the trunk underneath the mat. Some of our luggage got wet. We had no idea where it came from. We had to remove a drain plug to empty it. There was no spare tire either. We called about that but no one ever called back. We felt like there was no service whatsoever between getting the car and returning it. Personally, I will never rent from Hertz again. We rented from you because the price was low. However, Hertz charges a huge fee to have a second driver which meant the bargain price wasn’t a bargain after all.
