I had purchased insurance via Kayak when I booked the car. When I got to Hertze the did not accept the insurance and said I had to purchase their insurance.

The experience was about as bad as it could have been. When booking the car I, along with 41 other people, were duped by a bait-and-switch on their website that allows you to think you’ve booked a car at the Lihue airport but instead switches it to the Lihue private airport during the checkout process. Total scam. And of course they had no cars available, and we weren’t allowed to pick up from the private airport, so for about 4 times the original cost that Hertz made me think I was going to pay I could go to their partner company, Thrifty. Use any other than Hertz when possible. Employees were totally unhelpful. One of those memorable garbage experiences.

The customer service rep at Hertz was lovely, very polite and great service your website (kayak) allowed me to book a vehicle but after walking a few blocks with my luggage to fins out that Hertz can't accommodate because they dont have enough vehicles to do a same day reservation so we then had to walk around the area trying to find a different car rental So experience was not very good, based on this experience would not recommend Kayak

Much better than the Kia small SUV we rented the other portion of our trip. That car was terrible. The sprayers on the left wipers came in handy, but the gear shift was a bit tricky to use. Safety measures were very obvious, sometimes annoying, but overall helpful. The only real.negative was around navigation - the built in nav is the worst and most useless I've ever seen in a car. We mostly used Android Auto and it worked great via Bluetooth 90% of the time. But one of the days it just stopped working and wouldn't connnect, no.matter what we tried. Eventually, after a stop, it randomly started working again. Overall it handled well, got good gas mileage and provided plenty of room.

The hertz location you emailed me to pick up my vehicle in Lihue Kauai DID NOT EXIST and I was left stranded with NO CAR for my one day trip. Infuriating. Apparently the address you sent me to, had other customers who were there to pick up cars to where no rental car company even existed!!!

Provided a vehicle two hours earlier than expected. Not a fan of the Tesla though, battery charge had me feeling limited.
