Hertz schemed us. BEWARE! !!!!!!
Pros: We booked a 2 day rental through kayak. Nowhere on the kayak website (or hertz website for this matter) it said that the driver name and name on credit card used for paying must be the same. When we arrived to the hertz counter they refused to give us a car or change the reservation (even though hertz customer service said they could) and told us we had to open a new reservation. We were in a hurry to get to a time sensitive reservation so we went through with it. All of a sudden our 133$ original order bulged up to 315$!!!! And they schemed us to get insurance telling us the renters insurance we got from Allianz will not cover the new reservation (total and complete lie, but we were in a hurry and they took advantage) and also implied that the insurance is mandatory. When we returned the car we confronted the manager (rude one named theresa) and she said that all conversations are recorded and she will check if it's the case. Less then 3 minutes later she came back (no way on earth she located and listened to the conversation) and told us that we have been explained and that we are done for (so we wont be able to rent a car from hertz again-like we ever gonna...) Do yoeself a favor and STAY AWAY.
Cons: The manager theresa, and the way she and her associat schemed us.

Smooth, quick rental drop-off and pickup
Pros: Short, sweet, to the point. Good check-out and return time.
Cons: The Nissan I rented had a small issue with it's heater blower motor being very noisy when turned up to high. No big deal, otherwise the car was perfect.

Hard sales pitch ineffective
Cons: Hard sales pitch for insurance, gas unnecessary and left a poor impression. Unaccounted for taxes increased final price dramatically. Could have been communicated better from the beginning.

No service agent at rental car location for drop-o
Pros: Car was new and drove fine.
Cons: Car was not cleaned very well. When returning car, no one was at the rental location to take car, so I left keys in after hours drop box. This was on a Monday at 4pm (well within business hours).
