Pros:The price was excellent.
Cons:The pickup and drop off process was very frustrating. With respect to the pickup, we had to drive to find the rental car parked on the street, blocks away from the rental office, Upon returning, there were so many non-rental cars exiting the garage, we had to pull up just beyond the entrance. Due to the fact that either an employee or a customer parked illegally, prohibiting our ability to back up to enter into the drop off area, so we had to drive around an extremely busy area to enter the drop off area. Finally, the drop off time on the rental agreement states that the Hertz rental office opens at 1 pm, their website states noon, however, the office actually opened up at 2 pm on Sunday. The result was that between having to drive to the office twice, and due to the aforementioned scenario, the pick up / drop off process was extended by hours!! Note, the Hertz staff were professional.
Pros:I received the car immediately after paying – only to realize they were so fast because they didn't clean the car after its last use.
Cons:The car was extremely overpriced (I learned later after researching) and EXTREMELY dirty. There was what looked like mucus on the car door handle / window controls, animal hair all over the seats and the outside of the car was covered in dirt. I paid $300 for a 4 hour rental and can't believe I was given a car in this condition, especially during a pandemic. I immediately asked an associate to disinfect and only realized the pet hair and other dirt when I was into my trip. It's now all over my belongings. I felt unsafe and taken advantage of. I won't be using Hertz again and will not recommend it to anyone.
Cons:Hertz charged me twice for insurance amounting to almost $300 total for less than a week. I said I had insurance and they charged me anyway because it linked to a profile me friends ex boyfriend created over 8 years ago. The account was linked to his email and we did not receive a receipt. When we dropped the car off, the same person that rented us the car was working and said it was entirely our fault for not checking the receipt...which again was unlinked from the email we made the reservation with. Even though we didn’t sign anything, hertz is not giving us our money back.
Pros:Staff was friendly at pick up. The car was in good working condition.
Cons:Had to wait almost 2 hours to pick up the car - pick up time was 5pm - I didn't get on the road until 7pm. The car smelled of cigarettes, there was foot prints and grease all over the interior windshield, and there was a used toothpick on the passenger door hand groove which is unsettling since we are in a pandemic. Also had to wait 30 minutes to drop off the car and was reprimanded for not having my printed contract. No other car rental i've ever dropped off has required this. I think this location is short staffed and the employees do their best but its just not ok to get a car that smells like cigarettes and is clearly dirty. Hertz Gold Standard Clean is a joke.
Pros:I liked that we got the car we paid for.
Cons:I didn’t like that there was wait and a policy on the contract charging $400 for a car returned with sand inside (a totally normal/expected amount that one can expect after a weekend at the beach

Cons:They did not have cars when we arrived and could not honor our reservation - 10 other people also did not get cars. Terrible service and cannot trust that you will actually be able to rent a car with a reservation. They also did not call us to tell us - we only found out when we arrived to pick up the car, so we were left scrambling to find something else - they did NOT help us find another rental.

Easy, fast, no hassle. I’ve used other vendors like Dollar rental and Avis and both times it was a nightmare. I plan on using Hertz until they give me a reason not to.
Cons:Excessive charges for three day rental. I did not realize that the reservation was not changeable or refundable. I ended up needing it for half the time reserved but had to pay for all three days. I will only book directly with the car rental company in future and not use an online middle man.
Pros:Folks were great at Hertz. Easy to deal with, car was in nice condition and drove great, and the price was right.
