Cons:I booked a rental car to be picked up at CLT airport; however, upon arriving at CLT, I learned that the rental car facility that my pick-up location was scheduled for, was 15+ miles from the airport, meaning I would have to pay for a taxi to get my rental car. Additionally, I set my pick-up time for after 6PM. Upon trying to call the rental car facility when I landed, I learned that it closed for the day at 6PM. I am extremely disappointed with this experience, and I ended up having to alter my rental to be picked-up at CLT airport, which caused me to incur additional expenses and time. I do not plan to use kayak in the future, and I will strongly recommend all friends and family to avoid this travel service as well.
At check in, the agent told me that I needed to select at least the base level of their protection products (a loss & damage waiver) because my auto insurance would not cover me. That didn't sound right, and I tried to decline, but I was told that I needed to select one. I eventually did after much back & forth. After doing research, I learned that my auto insurance did indeed cover me and I could indeed decline the product, but when I called Hertz to try to get the coverage removed they would not help me. I talked to at least 2 agents and 2 supervisors and waited on hold for hours. I was told the only way to get it taken off was to drive back to the rental location 2 hours from where I was staying. Both the deception at the counter and the terrible customer service was a major disappointment and but a damper on my trip. I will never use Hertz again.
Pros:I can't remember the name of the lady that checked us in but she was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:Bought the insurance through Kayak ( learned lesson last year after a deer hit our rental) but Hertz knew nothing of it and gave us a hard time. Wish it translated to rental agency if purchased! Didnt need it but would have made check in smoother!
Pros:I am STILL waiting to be refunded for renting a car I never drove! I am completely and totally upset and I wish I never went through the trouble of renting from Hertz. I attempted to rent a car for my wedding anniversary vacation. Hertz helped stress me and practically ruin my vacation! I will never use Kayak or Hertz EVER again in my life!!
Cons:I was told by a Hertz agent I would be refunded for the car rental because there was an unforeseen issue. Still waiting for my refund. I cannot wait to express my disgust for this company on any website or word of mouth! No one except for 1 person was willing to attempt help. But now I'm seeing that was a failed attempt or that promise was made just to pretend to fix the horrific situation. Once Hertz has someone's money their customer service is pretty much out the window. They truly don't care or go by the method that the customer is always right and always first! Never again will I spend my hard earned money here. I should have rented from another company and I doubt I'd be in this mess!!

Pros:The new Toyota Avasing it.lon was a smoothe and spacious automobile. Plenty of room inside and out. We enjoyed renting it
