Pros: Compact car, had a good size trunk, lower mileage, Kia, drove well, escorted to a section, with my choice of cars as a gold member, good price, easy check in & drop off
Cons: I forgot to check to see if it had Cruse control. It did not and I had a 90 minute deprive each way which cruise control was missed, and I wish the car had it as a feature

Pros: Dealing with Hertz was a great experience. I had to extend my rental due to a family emergency and they were absolutely accommodating. Pickup and drop was exceptionally easy
Cons: The car got horrible gas mileage. Between NC and Pa, I had to fill up 3 times just to get to PA. In previous rental cars, I could make it on tank of gas. Very surprised this car was so horrible with gas. I would not rent another Rav 4 again. Outside of the gas issue, the car was great.

Pros: poor service at video customer service. Pressure to upgrade and put hold on reservation because I didn't want a luxury upgrade.
Cons: Pick up service, too long to get out. Worst ever for My Hertz experience

Cons: Only had one agent on when picking up car. Had to wait, but then used remote pick up and it worked.

Ripping of customers
Pros: The car drove
Cons: First I booked the car for 315 dollar for 10 days at the end I had to pay over 900 dollars because all kinds of fee and taxes and bs were added

Pros: size - drove really well - great space for the family. Folks helping me were very nice
Cons: ~ address on Kayak from - using Maps on my IPhone I was sent way down the road from where the actual location was...took me several times to find it - UTurns etc on South Blvd. ~ Car wasn't onsite - was being driven from Rock Hill. My pickup wasn't until 12 - as I was there after 11, I waited; when it arrived it wasn't clean on inside or out. They did offer to clean it but I needed to head out. ~there wasn't any rack on top; we were planning on using our soft top carrier - which clips to bars;

Turkey Day Cray-Cray
Pros: Pickup and drop-off were smooth and relatively seamless. Really nice people. The pre-pay gas option was genius and much appreciated, as I had to return the car before 7am on a Sunday and didn't want to pump last-minute gas in below-freezing weather. (Bonus: Snuck in with 5 miles to spare)
Cons: The car was horrrrrrible. Atrocious. Nissan Sentra that must've seen time in Afghanistan. Transmission was way off and the car was seriously underpowered. Dented and dinged and scraped up something fierce, too. Antenna, or maybe a faulty door seam, hummed loudly over 60mph. DON'T ACCEPT DEBIT CARDS! I can pay the credit card bill but don't like paying any interest on top of expected "surprise" charges that come with every car rental.

Pros: Decent size Suv, backup camera
Cons: No Bluetooth (Drove in Multiple States that require hands free, can't believe that we rent cars today that don't have Bluetooth) XM radio didn't work

Poor customer service.
Cons: Poor customer service. Surprised because I am a Gold member. Rude phone and in-person customer service. Told not to rent from Kayak online or other on-line travel agency or any rental issues must be handled by those travel agencies. First told the price would double because they wouldn't honor Kayak reservation at the airport in Charlotte. Then told no car was ready for rental when we arrived at the off-site location - wait another 45 -60 minutes to pick up another car or to upgrade Car was not cleaned and not as reserved.

Pros: Car ran well and was efficient.
Cons: Check in at Charlotte was beyond slow. When we finally got to the front of the line, the counter agent could not find our reservation. He had to read pricing off of my confirmation. He had to try several Times before system would accept pricing. Car was not clean on the outside. Mirrors and windows were dirty. Check in went just fine.

Cons: An important safety feature are cleaned insides of windshields. Please use a product that cleans and is not leaving a heavy film behind. It is VERY distracting in the sun and while driving at night. Thank you.

Pros: The pick up and drop off at Charlotte Douglas Airport was fairly efficient.
Cons: The extra insurance charges they tack on because the insurance you get through Kayak doesn't cover everything.

Pros: I never did get the car
Cons: I never did get the car. Pick up was a mess. I couldn't tell when I rented the car that it wasn't at the airport. They told me I had to take a cab to the place to get the car. I didn't have that kind of time. So the whole thing fell through.

Great little car ride
Pros: I'm impressed with the price and car. The service rep, upon pick up was just a lovely woman, but the drop off reps were cold and pretty much ignored me while talking to each other but I was pretty happy about my experience overall. Thank you Hertz!
Cons: The taxes charged after was a bit funny, especially at the end of a trip. It made it look inticing so I guess it's a win win

Bait & switch
Cons: I asked for the airport, not a hotel a mile away. Rather deceptive of Kayak. Makes a person think when making travel arrangments.

Pros: They didn't require you be a york County residents to rent or have utility bills in your name. & they were willing to drive me to the bank to deposit more money
Cons: That their system woukdnt allow them to change the authorization price in the system until 24hrs later

Cons: First car had a dead battery. Second car had 45k mikes and wasn't a good car. Upon return they had all of the contracts messed up. Took the gold counter 30 plus minutes to figure out. They did give me $50 off. All and all an unpleasant experience!!!

Pros: I signed up for the rental online and thought I had specified the Charlotte Douglas airport. When checking in at the desk, they let me know the reservation was for downtown. The counter person made sure I had the number and information to call Hertz to correct, Very helpful.

overselling is obnoxious
Cons: Agent was very aggressive in trying to get me to buy extra insurance and a full tank of gas (I used a total of 4 gal -- good thing I didn't give in!). He kept trying to undermine me and make me feel insecure -- iI'm not sure he would have treated a man the same way.

Pros: Easy- good car, and great deal
Cons: The "virtual check in" from Hertz felt sort of weird- I was basically skyping with some man- who was very helpful of course. But there were 2 live available hertz employees watching me do it. Also, the check in took a long time. Feels like it would have been faster to do with a live human being.

Pros: The car was new and comfortable.
Cons: When I booked online my rate included insurance covering the car, but in person they claimed I had not purchased it. The final cost came out to twice as much as I had planned.

Saving Grace in Time of Need
Pros: I liked how how simple it was to pick up my rental. I found it incredibly easy to walk up to the car, load my belongings, and drive off.
Cons: I did not like that I was forced to have a the never lost navigation system installed. I understand the implications for that system for tracking from the company perspective, however it just screams to people "hey this is a rental car!" This is only a minor in convenience to rental experience. It by no means will hinder my likelihood of renting another vehicle from you all. This legitimately was the only complaint I could come up with. Keep up the great work.

Pros: The car was clean and comfortable.
Cons: 1st, the customer service rep tried his best to sell me all the upgrades, insurance and what not. Even though I had paid for a sedan, he made it sound that it wasnot available and tried to give me an upgrade which obviously had a extra price tag! Only when I insisted on having a sedan that he relented. The point is a person who is new to renting a car can get duped so easily. On returning the car, I made sure to refill the tank but I had to drive exactly 10 miles after that to get to the airport. The marker was slightly below the fill line and they charged me for the full tank. Its a scam to charge you for the full tank if you returned it 95% full. I was very disspointed. These experiences puts you in a defencive mode when you try to rent a car the next time. Its sad!

Double taxed and fee'd by Hertz
Pros: The vehicle was great in all aspects. Smaller luggage room, but that was expected.
Cons: Booked and paid through Kayak via car rentals.com. Fully prepaid with taxes and fees, but on turn in at Hertz I was charged $53 for taxes and fees. Tax based on rental price I paid through 3rd party for the rental. Would have chanved who I rented through had I known it was going to be 30% more.

Pros: The car ran well and was easy to drive.
Cons: The interior of the car was in need of cleaning. The back seat upholstery was so stained and dirty it was yucky to sit on.

Cons: I had made an error on the date and had to call Hertz customer service to change the reservation (since it was prepaid, they couldn't do it at the counter). Customer service experience took forever.

Cons: I never rented the car. I am waiting for a refund. I originally asked for a pick up at Charlotte airport. Instead the car had to be picked at a remote location. We could have been taken to the location, but it would have cost an additional $50. Could not get a refund at the desk. I had to call and I am still waiting for this refund.

Excellent, east - would use again in a heartbeat
Pros: Pickup and drop off were so quick and easy. Car was great.
Cons: The GPS was super frustrating.
