Pros:My wife had some surgery that meant she couldn't walk far and I would have to muscle our bags from the rental garage to the check in desks! There were no carts in the turn in area! First they said there was a cart area for $.25 you could rent it nearby! Then another attendant said he would go and get it for us ! This was followed by the first attendant saying wait we can give you a ride to your air line! Then a third gentleman who appeared to be of the Siek Faith volunteered to take us and he took us to our check in curb and muscled our two 50 pound bags and all our smaller bags and helped my wife from the car while I procured a luggage cart from the walkway! I had thought the the check out crew had done a super job in getting us on our way, but three check in staff were superior to any I have ever encountered ! They really brightened our day and if you can figure out who they were, please thank them for us!! The first attendant was a young lady and her name may have been Nayri or similar! Thanks Hertz you're back to being number one in my book!
Cons:Final billing. In the final bill email, I was charged the weekly rate for the daily rate and had to rush back to the rental car desk to get adjusted after I had gotten to my airport gate. I could not get a person on the phone to help me and had to go back in person. It was stressful.
Pros:Agent helped us find our way out of garage after I dropped off car and my wife picked me up!
Cons:The customer service was awful. Not friendly or accommodating. Won't be renting from here in the future.
Pros:Everything was great and simple. In and out and same on the return.

Cons:Front desk too pushy on insurance sales. Tried to give a lower level car even though midsize was reserved
Pros:all were courteous and explained the rental process clearly to me as this was my first time renting a vehicle. I was in an unfamiliar city and had several questions about the highways and this was my first experience with a rental car.
Cons:I had difficulty finding the car I was "assigned to" and there was no one in the area to help. After finding the car I didn't really understand where to drive it to but did find the "checkout" area. A problem surfaced with the vehicle and they had to find another vehicle. There apparently wasn't any time to instruct in the second vehicle and I left not really knowing what all the lights and buttons were for. Car drove well and I safely arrived at my destination. Oh a GPS was there but I had no experience of one....we did okay together and arrived safely.
Pros:Nothing- sent to wrong location. Much higher price at airport. Total at airport 225$ for ordinary car in Sam Jose. Went next door to national - same car type - 66$ total. Never would consider hertz again. Or kayak for that matter.
Pros:The staff was friendly.
Cons:Literally everything other than the staff could've been better. The car smelled funny. It ran poorly. It had 41,000+ miles on it. I won't rent from Hertz again
Pros:No one in line so easy to the car, but this location is in a strip mall next to a restaurant. Very far from the airport, $50 taxi so be careful.
Cons:I searched for car rentals by the San Jose Airport and this came up. I didn't realize it was so far from the airport and there is no hertz shuttle. $50 taxi ride to get there.
