i recieved a room upgrade for no charge and thought that was very i also thought the staff was friendly and caring.....also the concierage answered all our questions regarding directions and eating places in a very easy and informative manner....he even printed out a walking map for us.....transport to and from hotel was simple and very easy to do. i liked everything .....it did however take them 1 hour to deliver our bags to the room but that might of been cus it was late at night.....i am really not complaininmg about this but just being honest and informative..
location confusing policies - the rates for telephone use were exorbitant, and I was able to extend my booking on the internet at a price that front desk promised was not available any longer.
Large clean rooms
the hotel is very near local restaurants that serve cheap but authentic food it is not near any mtr station, so we had to take taxi, which is more expensive
Great food and very helpful and friendly staff Rooms dated and small
The room and amenities of the hotel were very good (and would cost more in a major Canadian city which surprised me) and very easy connection from the airport via train and less than a $5 taxi ride. I also received a free upgrade to a very nice harbour view / ocean view room. English comprehension was limited even at reception and concierge (inconvenient but not critical in my situation).
I liked that this hotel was not so expensive, well maintained, and had a quite good location.
Very pleasant atmosphere
I liked the view from the room. If you don't mind to take a few stops with the tram, the location is ok as well. If you like chinese food for dinner, it is ok. If you want a western style dinner, don't go there. For breakfast the situation is different; they have a good buffet style breakfast.
Everything was wonderful and the location perfect. Rooms on the small size but great views and location.
Shuttle to Hong Kong station Pool not open pass 9pm
Small and cozy for family of four. The concierge staff were fantastic, they direct us to the places of interest whether it is by bus, tram, electric bus or MTR, they give clear informations that really help. MTR station is quite a distance away.
Hotel is very close to the subway station. Rooftop pool is a great added benefit! Rooms were a little bit small, but that is to be expected of in Hong Kong. Rooms felt dusty
The cleaning staff and maintenance was up to par and done their job well. I was impress by how the cleaning staff wanted to service the rooms and most of the employees helped with my concerns and questions. The description of either full or double bed room wasn't explained properly on the website and I expected a Harbor View but received a Mountain View because they did not give me a double room on the harbor side for the price that I paid and wanted me to pay more for the the double bed on Harbour View which was not described in the website so me and my guest had to take the two twin beds and put them together to have one full bed and the beds were uncomfortable and very hard not being easy to sleep on. The description on the website said full or twin beds with no description on either mountain or Harbor View.
For one person the space was fine and the area around the hotel was pretty cool if you're into exploring on foot. Pretty neat design as well. The only issue was the bed was really hard.
Easy access, on the H1 bus line for the Airport Express, getting to/from the airport could hardly be easier. The tram is a 90 second walk down Eastern street. There's a McDonald's a block away and a 7-11 across the street. The bed was fairly comfy and made up every day. The room was TINY!!!! I would guess we had 2 feet on either side of the bed and maybe 2.5 feet at the foot. There is no closet or any other place to hang clothing. The tram and bus stops are near by, but the nearest MTR is a long long walk. The hotel does have a shuttle but due to road construction it dropped everyone at the Macau ferry terminal.
i dont like anything, this was very bad experience, i never imagine that can be a B western hotel in any part of the world without closet or place to put your clothes, i really very disapointment because i travel to several countries around the world and i never see even a one start hotel without closet.
Room extremely small with just a small shower, no closest just couple of hanger on the wall, no table, no chair, no space for your suitcases, just enter and seat on the bed, you are like sleeping in the springs!
More space in the reason space
Location, service, price, room Toothbrush and toothpaste were horrible.
Staff some great English and seemed to want to be helpful despite nothing to work with. I did international business travel staying at all levels of hotels for 30+ years. Unquestionably this is one of the worst hotel facilities I've ever endured. Despite having prepaid for three days, we left after one night. Here's a quick rundown of the deficiencies: few elevators for a lot of guests = long waits and full when they DO arrive. First room assigned on no smoking floor stunk badly of smoke. Bed was like an old ironing board with a thin pad. Room so small (and I'm used to small in London, NYC & Paris) you had to take turns moving about. Nearly half the room ammenities listed did not exist. Returning after dinner, the room drains had leaked a sewage smell into the room. Sink drained slowly. Shower small as a tight phone booth. I'm thin and while bending to wash my knees, I shut off the water valve, haha!
The location was excellent. We used the MTR a lot and being so close to the stop was great for us. It was also close to the harbor and Soho which made exploring very easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly small, but in HK that is normal I suppose. The rooftop pool was closed. One of the reasons we booked was to take a picture from the roof so we were pretty bummed about it.
close to tram and bus stops temp. in rooms were to low and you cant change it
location bed is not comfortable, quilt too thin
it's far from city. but, the facilities are good. I could get on the bus to go to the international airport in front of the hotel.
I received a free upgrade to a suite, the suite was excellent, very spacious by hong kong standards. When leaving the hotel arranged a taxi for me, I asked for a taxi to the airport express station but the hotel staff told the driver to take me to the aiport, I ended up having to go through the tunnel and heading to Kowloon.
The air-con was too cold even I adjusted the temperature to 25 degrees. Besides, guys at the front desk were rude and not fluent in English though the girls were cheerful.
The room was very clean and silent and it had everything needed for a week's holiday. The bed was a bit hard but very good to sleep in. The bathroom was big enough and clean. We payed for a harbour wiew suite, but we got a small room with a "backyard" wiew first. We complained and the staff found us another room with the things we had payed for. In the situation, the staff was friendly and willing to find a room suitable for us from higher floors. The staff, including cleaning personal, were friendly.
The room size were nice and big The bed was too hard, most light bulbs in my room didn't work, small ahower
Close to public transportation. Smelled of cigarette smoke. When we told the front desk they said to allow the air to circulate. The smell never went away. Could have been cleaner.
Very affordable prices and upscale Best Western hotel. The staff were extremely courteous and were able to get us a few snacks late at night.. There is also a bag check area for those who may spend the day in the city before departure etc. Very good hotel. Nothing really, it exceeded expectations.
The housekeeping lady is helpful. The room is too cold because it is central air control
Convenience, long term pricing No heat - the room was cold - the heat blew nothing but cold air even at 30C
Location of the hotel is not so good ,though you can see the harbour but the view is blocked by tall towers in front.overall a good experience of stay but could be better in terms of friendliness of staff.
Great value for money, room extremely comfortable and use of exec lounge facilities was a bonus. Breakfast was often very busy, with limited choice of food/juices available.
The hotel has nice rooms, and the best beds and bed sheets I have ever slept in. They put me to 14th floor, wherefrom you can see the bay. The staff was nice, breakfast of high value, with show chef cooking the eggs directly in front of you. The location is a little bit off hand, we needed more than 1 hour to get there from the Airport, but the hotel offers compimentary bus to the subway station directly.
Location is a bit far from the centre.
Brilliant skybar happy hours! Friendly and helping staff. Clean rooms. Working shuttle bus service that takes you in 10 min to Metro or ferry terminal. Tram stop a block away from where it takes 20 min to Metro. Recommending for holiday travels, if you want to see a bit of local life around you :) Harbourview is not a skyline view of Kowloon, though.
Easy to get to, even though it was out of the Central area the trams were a block away and took you straight there. The rooms were lovely and staff friendly.
Good staff nice room fair price & in hong kong , what more do you need thank you Booked double room but no room available on the first night same
Good Southeast Asian restaurant; modern furnishings; helpful staff; close to MTR sound insulation of the rooms; average internet speed; lots of local eatleries but few medium to higher level restaurants; not much view outside the window.
Quiet, well located and easy to get to, friendly and courteous staff with a nice restaurant located in the hotel.
The helpful staff and nice hotels nothing!
Comfort The location andd the service rendered by the front desk.
Away from the hectic center, hotel Jen was great on all fronts. Clean, good staff, excellent food (malacca restaurant inside hotel got a michelin mention), and a nice neighborhood around HKU.
its cleanliness, nice bed, great amenities. Location, too far from town, no MTR station nearby. The schedule of the shuttle provided is not frequent enough. However, I saw an MTR station being built nearby, which should help in the future.
The atmosphere The room was different from last time....it's so much smaller for the same price. I was very disappointed with my bf
The harbour view of the room was excellent and the staff at the concierge was very helpful. I know there is a offer of breakfast at a price but I seriously think the hotel should include breakfast with the room charges as I found there were not much of breakfast place in teh surroundings, I mean western breakfast.
Newly refurbished stylish rooms with great views to the harbour. Ability to check-in early. Complimentary shuttle bus to the city centre. Very diligent and pleasant staff.
Free airport bus shuttle. I love the staff! They're really accommodating. Breakfast buffet is also okay. I'd recommend it for business trips, not for leisure... Location. You have to take the bus shuttle or cab just to get to the nearest MTR station.
Location to MTR, Trolley Line and Airport Express. Clean comfortable hotel. Great Staff. Good Restaurant. 7-11 next door.
Very good hotel. easy to find a lot of cheep restrant arownd this hotel.
A bit far out
I confused that your staff open the door when we were relaxed time. But, basically good.
The staff is outstanding
Very helpful staff, great beds and wonderful view of the harbour. Elegant rooms. Cost of internet access in room $20 a day - way too much!!!
New, modern and beautiful hotel at a reasonable cost. A little out of Central but many easy, fast ways to get into Central. You can take the free shuttle, taxi ($30 HKD), or tram ($2HKD) Buffet breakfast is too expensive at $158HKD per person
Clean and comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. No
Even there's really not much around the hotel, if you like the typical touristy places, it is still worth its money: The hotel lies a comfortable 15 minutes by cab from Central. Good value for money! During two days, the tested the alarm for every single room, which lasted for approximately 2 hours on one day. Really not very comfortable if you decided to stay in the hotel working...(I'm sure there are other ways to test it)
staff don't speak english..was no rooms left- i have got the appartment..no water inside rooms..
pocket friendly, nice staffs old, flush in the toilet needs a bit of repair...
Good place, clsoe to HKU
Hotel staff was very helpful and nice to me. Free wifi in my room. The new MTR (subway) station is under construction within 20 seconds walk. By the time it opens this hotel will be a great choice. The hotel is pretty far from the centre, but public transport is perfect, so it won't be a problem to get anywhere you need.
Hotel staffs are friendly. 1. Just one floor of the hotel. There is no window in my room. 2. Location is okay, just 1 min walk to the bus & tram stop, but very far to the MTR station.
Free use of computer in the lobby of the hotel. But it has a 15 min limit while people are waiting, there was only one terminal, and often people are using it. The bed was as hard as a rock. Smell of stale smoke entered and never seemed to leave my room. Sound easily penetrated through walls.
The room is roomy, and location is convenient too. difficulty in finding a taxi
Simple but nice hotel, only stayed for one night though. Clean. Rooms were a little noisy. No Internet (I already knew, but it'd be nice if they deployed internet services in the rooms).
good location, near public transportation, friendly staff the room i had was a bit dark, TV is very old with poor reception, and Wifi is not working in the hotel currently.
