Nothing! It was a dump. I was embarrassed to stay there. I took pictures if u would like to see. Rooms were very old . Curtains had holes many. There was big rust areas in the bathtub doors Had punch holes. The carpets were stained and Smelled mildewy. The bed frames were filthy. Smell of sewer permeated the room every time one flushed One had to jiggle the handle so it would stop running. The complimentary coffee condiments Were stale and hard as a rock. There is not one thing. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The booking met our needs exactly. Nothing at all. I would definitely stay here again. It was the relaxing spot we needed when away from the excitement of Key West. The beds were comfortable and the rental space was clean and the staff was more than accommodating. The Authors of Key West has a beautiful private courtyard and a heated pool and Jacuzzi. They also offer free WiFi in the courtyard you may or may not be able to access it from your room depending on where you are. There is plenty of free on street parking and you are a short walk to Mallory Square and the Sunset Celebrations there. The innkeeper is very friendly and will mark up a local map for you with various locations based on your interests. Be advised there is a multiple year road construction project in Key West and right now North Roosevelt Boulevard is one way traveling south only. That makes Authors of Key West a very advantageous location as you can easily get to the harbor area, Mallory Square, Duval Street, the beautiful Higgs Beach, the Southernmost Point, great restaurants and more all without having to travel back to the more northern parts of Key West.

We were very pleased with our welcome and check in. The person checking us in was very nice and gave us lots of helpful information about the area. Our stay was very comfortable and in a nice residential area. Breakfast was served outside on the patio area and was sufficient for our needs. The only dissappointment was that there was no hair dryer in the room and at the time we were checking out (early the next day), there was nobody in the office to see about getting one. Other than that (bring your hair dryer), I would definately reccomend this bungalo.
