Michelle (i think that was her name) upgraded us so we could get an early check in; our reserved room wasn't ready. Other than Michelle, the other staff was apathetic and not particularly helpful. E.g we went to the front desk to request the shuttle for 15 mins later. The shuttle driver was there and said, "I was about to take lunch, but I guess I'll take you. It has to be in 15 mins." We came back 15 mins later and waited another 15 mins before he took us. There was another valet/shuttle driver so not sure what that was about. It was Sunday afternoon, not busy. We were also charged $10.85 for a beer and a smart water from the mini bar even though we never opened the mini bar. They did reverse the charge after I saw it on my credit card statement and called but seemed sketchy. Overall, it was disappointing. I'll stay the Renaissance in walnut creek over this place.
Pool and spa area are beautiful. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Great location, close to freeway and BART. 20 dollar per night parking fee. Our room had a view of the kitchen roof.
Luxurious. Friendly. Paid almost $700.00/2 nights. I only used it to sleep so it was not worth it to me. The parking fee seems too much when hotel fee is already high. The toilet paper is rough. They checked me out for a different persons room and when I called it took them a while to find the mistake.
The Sunday buffet at the Meritage was very good. The lap swimming in the pools and 3 free hours of childcare included in the resort fee was also very nice and an unexpected bonus. Ridiculously overpriced for what it was. $26 resort fee and $30 valet fee on top of over $200/night for a tiny old room that wouldn't even pass muster at a Best Western? The room was awful - outdated, small, old, musty and generally uncomfortable. Noisy from the hallway, the bed was saggy, the comforter stained and 2 adults plus a baby in a crib were way too many to fit in a tiny standard room.

Location - close to everything including freeways. Facilities were excellent -- pool, exercise room, etc. They treated me like a second class citizen because I booked not directly through them. Promised me a fridge and I had to find a facilities guy who didn't talk to the front desk to get one. Told me there was a free breakfast buffet, but then it wasn't free.
Staff was very good. Room service excellent and the pools were great. I asked for a taxi to take me to SFO. Instead of a taxi, they had reserved a sedan which was more expensive than a taxi. I thought it was a little bit cheesy. I'm sure that some people want to drive to the airport in a fancier car but they should specify. I asked for a taxi, not a town car.
Wonderful location. Grand old building which has been well maintained. It had been some years since I last stayed there and the place seemed in better shape than it was.
Nice pool, spa and exercise facilities. My kids had a blast at the pool - it was nicely heated and they enjoyed it despite the cooler February weather. Our room was below one of the hotel's restaurants. 6am on a sunday morning and isn't a great time to be woken up to the sounds of tables and chairs being moved. It's an old hotel so it's pretty loud. When I checked out they gave me a bit of a discount and said that when we checked in that the front desk should have warned us that our room was loud... they really just shouldn't rent out the rooms or if they do charge less.... but they'd rather put guests in a position where they have to complain to get a discount. Even with the discount if was an expensive weekend that wasn't as restful as you'd expect for the money.
Our oasis on the hill! The Claremont is a special place and I return there whenever I can; the location is central yet private and the staff is friendly, attentive, helpful and genuine. Each staff member, from the housekeeping staff to the manager, smiles and greets guests and is not only ready, but willing, to make your stay enjoyable. When there was an issue at check-in with the room assigned. Frank Flynn quickly and apologetically gave us another room with no question. In chatting with Fracesco (I'm sure I have not spelled his name correctly-my apologies!) in the lobby, we told him we were headed into the city the next day; he not only cautioned us about traffic and crowds in the Golden Gate Park area due to a concert, he recommended alternative areas to visit-and when he saw us a couple of days later, he asked how our trip went! A special shout-out also to Mohammad and Zachary who took care of us for breakfast in the Meritage restaurant-their service standards and guest treatment should be the envy of fine dining establishments everywhere. They made the start of our days happy and pleasant and really made an impact of the pleasure of staying at the Claremont! The charm of an old beauty like the Claremont is also sometimes what makes you miss some things you might find in a newer hotel; the HVAC system can be unreliable and loud, the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, etc. But having noted that, the graciousness of the wide hallways and high ceilings easily make you overlook those modern facility differences!

Loved the look of the place from the outside..altho you quickly feel like an inconvenience being shuffled out of the way. The hotel is rich with history and has very nice decor..the room was big, with a big bathroom. The trexk to the room was ridiculous, having to take two elevators and very long walks on different levels while carrying your things. The room floor needed vacuumed, you could feel stuff on the carpet. After we checked in, we left to go get dinner and you can't get out of the gate without a special card given at the front desk. Well guess what- oh, and it cost $30 for this parking privilege.
Ariana at the front desk was incredibly helpful, professional and very friendly. Ariana should be commended for her customer service. I booked the room via Kayak. I thought I was getting a King Bed. When I checked in the front desk gal ( who was not very helpful!!) said that the hotel was oversold because there were 2 family reunions going on and she needed to put me up in another local hotel. I didn't have time to do that, as I needed to be in SF within the 1/2 hour. She allowed me to go up to a meeting room to change clothes and said that the meeting room had a pull out sofa. So, I told her that instead of running around Emeryville to another hotel, I would just take the sofabed. Ends up there wasn't a sofa bed. She also said she would send up my bags...but she didn't do that either! Housekeeping had to come in with a blow up mattress. NOT a comfortable night's sleep. However, a gal named Ariana was now working at the front desk. She gave me free parking and 2 vouchers for some food/wine. I also called Kayak and they spoke with the hotel and my room was comp'd all together. I appreciate that greatly...but would also like to mention that if the hotel was already oversold...I shouldn't have been able to reserve a room. A lot of hassle...but between Kayak and Ariana...it was resolved to my satisfaction. Thank you!

Easy highway access and good response to requests. We had booked three rooms for a family business trip. One room had a cracked sink, two rooms had ill fitting front doors which let so much light under the door as a light was left on. One room had drapery that had holes in it.
Great room set up. Good desk and chair for a business traveler. Like the coffee in the lobby now as well. Sad you have done away with glassware in the room. I think of motels as having paper cups and nice hotels provide glasses. I enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day and don't like it in a paper cup. You have also dropped the level of amenities provided in the bathroom.
The hotel was very modern and clean which is a big plus for me, especially with children. I loved that it was so close to the Bay bridge and minutes away from SF. Staff was friendly and the overall location was nice and close to the water. n/a

The location was excellent for what we wanted to do. We were greeted warmly by the front desk. Our room was comfortable. Though we only stayed for one day, we were glad to have chosen this hotel. The water temp for the shower took awhile to get warm. Also, the tub water didn't drain properly.
We booked through this site New Years Eve evening. Most hotels were full or costly. But we found this great deal at a great price. It over look the San Francisco bay, where we watched the fireworks at midnight. The night manager was very accommodating to our needs, especially with parking. To find a reasonable price room at a good hotel like the Hilton, I will recommend to everyone to use this site.
Easy highway access, decent size room and good response to problems. We didn't like being charges 15 a day for parking and that the common areas were unkept even in the early mornings, ie overflowing garbage cans, ashtrays and glasses left from the night before on the patio area.
I had a room I requested an early check-in by e-mail. I received a text saying I could check in at 2pm. Staff told me check in is at 3pm, period. Did not even check to see if rooms were available.

Excellent family pool and hot tub, comfortable beds, easy access to a walking path on the waterfront, exceptionally friendly staff There is no complimentary breakfast, not even a box of corn flakes and coffee. Breakfast buffet was very expensive, so we drove out to a grocery store for food. For the in room coffee maker three guests received three packets of coffee and 2 creams!

Price was solid, room was clean, parking was free. Could hear everything going on around my room, woke up multiple times by random folks around my room. The hotel is fairly dated. The bed was not comfortable and nor were the pillows.
The location was beautiful Restaurant and bar staff were extremely rude. Warning if waiter offers coffe and orange juice to be filled in the cups on the tables it's $5 each glass. our bed sheets were dirty and had black crumbs inside when opened it. There were also hookers roaming around at night.

Upon first entrance, the rooms were very clean...although the hotel, windows and doors were disgustingly dirty. Staff at check in were amazing. Bed was super uncomfortable...pillows were flat and lumpy. The walls were super thin, so you could hear everything. Terrible.
They had my reservation listed as 2 double beds, when I in fact reserved and paid extra for the king deluxe room with a balcony. The receptionist acted as if I did not have a king reserved, until I physically showed her my reservation on my phone. At that point she then took responsibility for putting us in a king room like we reserved and paid for. Ridiculous.

I booked and paid for a king balcony room and I didn't get that The hotel claimed that Kayak was responsible for the booking hence they couldn't accommodate my request for a king bed since they didn't have any available. I couldn't cancel the reservation neither so I feel I was robbed. I've use this site multiple times but I'm never using it again. I was robbed since the quality didn't compare to what I paid.
Every staff member I encountered was smiling and went out of their way to say hello, open doors, offer to help, etc. Very impressive!
Conveniently located in downtown Berkeley, across the street from the BART station and a couple blocks from the Cal campus. Some nice restaurants and bars nearby. Very nice accommodations and this was the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in. I never heard a single sound outside of my room. Rooms are a bit small but still very nice and comfortable.
Since my son started attending Berkeley two years ago, I only stay at the Hotel Shattuck when visiting him. Thus far, I've stayed at there six times. I have NEVER been disappointed in the accommodations. Admittedly, some reviewers complain about the price. But, hey, considering the location, accommodations, staff, and amenities, I'm not going to complain.
Location. Front desk service was horrible. Room Service was worst. Terrible food. Had a hair in it. Oatmeal was lumpy Service was way off.
I've stayed here several times over the last few years; I had a flawless, enjoyable experience each time. This last trip they even held some rather bulky packages / equipment which had arrived a week early for work, without question. The staff is always friendly, rooms are immaculately clean, and the location (right across Allston from the Downtown Berkeley BART, a block off Berkeley's campus, and close to several good dining experiences) is excellent.
I really liked everything about this place. My room was very stylish, and it came with all the usual amenities. The room was smaller, so I'm not sure if I would be happy there if I had to share the space with someone else. I don't know if all the rooms are that size, or if I just got a small room because I was by myself. For just me, it was the perfect size. The AC works well, which I've come to learn isn't a given at many "upscale" hotels. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is right in the center of everything in Berkeley, so there are plenty of restaurants, drugstores, cafes, etc. within walking distance. It is conveniently located next to the downtown Berkeley BART station. I didn't have a car, so I didn't need to deal with parking, but I imagine it's not easy or cheap. The restaurant has really good food. There is plenty of seating in the lobby/bar area to meet with people to discuss business or have a couple drinks. I just really liked it here. They focus so much on helping each customer as much as possible, that several of us stood waiting at the check in desk for a really long time while one obnoxious customer waxed poetic about all the things he wanted to do while he was in Berkeley. They need to be more conscious of calling for help when a line starts to form.
Rooms were fine. Hotel was clean. Reception and bar service awful. Card keys did not work. A/C stopped working. Small, crowded lobby. Shattuck area is not inviting.

Spacious room, very clean and quiet. Hefty valet charge--but no other parking options (like a parking lot), which for a suburban hotel is odd and unexpected.

I like the fact that the hotel was closed to everything that we needed from restaurants, bars and drugstores. The hotel staff were very friendly from the valet attendant to the front desk. Our flight got delayed and they were able to accommodate our check-in time. We understand that parking is an issued around the city but we thought it was expensive for the hotel to charge $45 for valet parking and there are a lot of homeless people walking around. I wouldn't walk around the city by yourself at night.

Beautiful view from the 10th story of the Oakland hills First night we arrived to an open bottle of almost empty wine in the warm fridge which caused the room and fridge a near permanent odor. The a/c durino our stay seemed to only work 70% of the time. 2nd day the shower was draining so slow that the water reached your calves and it took to days to be fixed. The door to the bath room was near to falling off its hinges. The fact it cost more than the much better crown plaza hotel and paying 15$ to self park. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, I'd suggest the crown plaza down the street.
The room was nice and clean. Staff was a little rude, and didn't really want to help us out. Also the additional $50 a night for insurance no one told us about. And they charge you $18 a night for parking whether you park there or not. The food wasn't the best, I've had better food at a complimentary breakfast buffet. Definitely not $17 worth. The people in the room next to us were smoking weed and the entire hallway reeked. For what you pay, I expected more from Hilton.
We wound up here by accident--my mom was very ill and having emergency surgery, our train was delayed...I am disabled, in a wheelchair, was exhausted and traveling with my even more exhausted 7 year-old. We arrived to the friendliest, most patient staff ever...there was no rushing us and they simply helped us get to our room and rest. They were courteous and genuinely helpful at a time when my tank was well beyond empty. It was a wonderful place to recharge during a very difficult time! Very high marks to the staff!!! The rooms were also immaculate and extremely comfortable.

I arrived at 2ish, was really hungry, and went straight to grab a drink and bite from the restaurant. It was nice to know it was open. After such a long drive, was not in the mood to get back into my car after checking in to go look for an outside restaurant. And especially, the room was ready didn't have to wait til 3pm. Thank you 2 things I didn't like.... 1. Once I got into the room wanted to relax before heading out to a business dinner. I believe there was a basketball tournament. I can hear the kids out in the hallway being loud. 2. I think your prices at the restaurant are a little too pricey.

Everything apart from parking $18 to park is kinda ridiculous when your already a paying guest staying at their hotel. Basically s back handed way to make their room rates look cheaper. They reduce the room rate by 20 bucks and then add a $20 parking fee.....
This hotel has functionally become my second home. My husband and I are both from the bay area and this is the perfect spot central to all of the grandparents. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The service is excellent. By far, my favorite thing about this hotel is that it has an amazing gym with everything you could possible want. The kids world, made my children want to move to Walnut Creek, they loved it and want to know when we are coming back!. Cant say enough about this place, we love it!

To be fair I'm a Marriott person and the Walnut Creek Marriott was full. This hotel isn't bad at all, it's just not the Marriott! ; ). Clean and kept, just if you are a light sleeper, make sure you don't get a room facing the freeway.
Efficient, clean and comfortable. Very well located for my needs. Good price. Staff very friendly and helpful. I stay there at least once a year since my older son lives around the corner but does not have space for me. It would be nice to have some vending machines/ice on the first floor.
We were thoroughly pleased with our stay. From the breakfast and lovely grounds, to the extra friendly staff, our time there was very enjoyable.

Location is convenient. Check-in staff has as much personality as a cardboard box. Hotel isn't super clean and lighting fairly dismal.
The lobby obviously had been renovated. The breakfast was a cut above for that kind of establishment. When checking in I was told that I wouldn't get any IHG Rewards points for my stay. Apparently, if the reservation is made through Hotels.com, there are no rewards points given to the guest--the very person who is paying the bill and to whom the points should be given! I don't care through whom I book a hotel room; I don't even think about it. Hotel rooms are booked through some sort of intermediary all the time. That's how the hotels fill their rooms: they use booking agents to get their rooms in front of the biggest audience of potential customers--duh! The most irksome thing about this is I purposely chose the Holiday Inn Express OUT OF LOYALTY. Why would I ever chose an IHG property again when they don't count every stay I make, every dollar I give them?
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very patient with us sorting out the various family names, who got what rooms that multiple bookings thru hotels.com caused. Key card glitches. Seemed like every time we left our rooms someone's key cards weren't working when we returned. Also, rooms could use a little updating, starting to look a little worn.

Good location to freeway. Decent rooms. A bit overpriced for what you get, but in range for the area. Valet parking only @ $21 for one night. What they didn't make obvious is that there is free parking nearby.
staff is very nice. First, had to move rooms, heat not working in the first. Second room, some TV channels not working. The place is newly renovated but the work is marginal in places, for example, in my room the composite floor planks (no carpet) had gaps to the subfloor. Been at this hotel a number of times, not sure its the same.
Hardwood floors, bath amenities noisy room, clicking sound all night, I was in a room located behind the elevators so I heard them running THE ENTIRE NIGHT. Updated hotel but I doubt I'd stay there again.

I love staying at the Walnut Creek Marriott! Every time I stay there the staff shows the most gracious hospitality. I always feel like I'm visiting friends every time I'm there. I am very particular about the hotels I stay in, and this is by far my favorite one. My room is always clean, and the area is always quiet. I can't think of a problem I've had that the Marriott staff resolved without issue because I've never had a problem with any of my reservations, room service orders, or special accommodations. Oh! I can remember that my most recent stay was the result of an unfortunate situation, and the staff gave me a complimentary $10 credit for a drink at the bar. I know it's small, but the gesture was nice; they acknowledged how upset I was and made an effort to brighten my day... that drink definitely helped! They new I needed it hahaha In any case, Walnut Creek Marriott is and will always be my first choice. N/A
Manager's reception Tuesday nights. If you have considerate (quiet) neighbors on both sides and above you, and you don't want to sleep in, this hotel is fine. Thin walls and ceilings. Old carpet. Did not get room I requested. Food at the bar is average at best. Housekeeping started knocking on the door at 8:15am.

The room was large, clean, and bed comfy. Just what we wanted. Check in was a breeze, and the indoor pool was lovely. There was no blow dryer in the room, just a minor thing. And also no towels are available at the pool so bring some from your room! The biggest problem we had was at around midnight someone jiggled our door handle and tried to come in. I looked out the peep hole and saw a staff member walking around looking confused. our phone has just rung minutes before that happened, waking us both. Also, we had our do not disturb sign up but the maids still knocked and tried to enter early in the morning.
Excellent bed, television, cable tv selection, fast and consistent wifi, pool and hot tub. Trader Joes across the street to stock the in room fridge. Inexperienced restraunt staff, across the board.

The staff was pleasant and the shuttle service was a nice convenience. Initial room assigned was already occupied. Hallways had an unpleasant odor. Building, rooms and furnishings all seemed in need of updating.

A safe spot in oakland
Great experience! Hotel was clean and well-kept. Rooms were very comfortable. Rooms facing the water were extremely quiet at night. A relief after staying at other hotels in Oakland with lots of street noise. Also a delight to look out at the water in the morning. Beds and desks were comfortable. Staff was generally very helpful. A couple times staff were curt, seemed irritated at doing their jobs. Also, they changed their shuttle service to only pick up and drop off at four locations, instead of anywhere within a three mile radius. The shuttle was still extremely helpful, and this wasn't that big of a deal, but it should have been properly advertised on their website ahead of time.
The check-in folks were friendly. Your description of having rooms on the bay side or a 'view of the city' was very deceiving. The view of the city was a view of interstate 880, and was incredibly noisy since you're located right on the edge of the interstate. It was the noisiest room I have ever stayed in, and there was no way to get any sleep. The rugs were not clean, and the plumbing in the room was poor.
The hotel was very clean with friendly staff. The atmosphere felt comfortable and safe. No complaints at all.
EVERYTHING! The customer service was outstanding, the rooms were large and very clean. Awesome location (it's worth the extra $ to have a water view room). I liked that they offer a free shuttle to Jack London Square. Parking at this hotel is FREE (unlike some other hotels nearby). The pool and bar is really nice, too. There wasn't anything I disliked about this hotel. I will definitely stay if I'm in the area again.
Staff was AMAZING. They bent over backwards to help me. They had free shuttle service to Downtown Oakland! Place was clean with delicious, free breakfast. Hands down, though, it was staff that made this place excellent! Nothing. I will stay here again. Best hotel in Oakland!

Dirty! Really dirty! I don't know why they got those good revives, I travel a lot, and read reviews before I book my hotels, this one was a totally mistake!
The hotel looked a little dingy from the outside, so we were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the room. We got a free upgrade at check in which we were very happy with. The room had free wifi and we could park our car close to the room for free. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the bart station, so it's quick and easy to get to Berkeley. The neighborhood is not too nice, it's not a good place to walk around by yourself after dark and there was some noise outside during the night.

Free parking. We stayed here because there weren't any rooms free in San Francisco which was our destination. We stayed here for 4 days and overall it was very good. The biggest plus is polite and extremely friendly owner and his son who did us a favor after something went screwed with our reservations. Rooms are fairly clean, and really spacious with a tv inside. I gave max points for location but for Oakland, for San Francisco this location is good only if you have a car. We found some hair on the pillow on the first night. There was always problem with towels, every night we asked for 2 big towels for showering, and got them, but the next morning we would again be given 2 small ones. Got soap only after asking for it. Wireless working a bit, and then not working...
I didn't care for the third floor.
for trips to san francisco the hotel is very good located - near the highway; the rooms are very nice and clean the location of the hotel is in a dangerous area of oakland (we found out afterwards); someone broke in our rental car (nissan versa 4) and stole our holder for the navigation system .. not very important or expensive but because of the broken window in our car we had a lot of trouble; the hotel stuff didn't help us in any way to solve our problems .. they didn't even gave us the phone number of the police station ...
The location is nice, good restaurants within walking distance in the area. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the wine & cheese hour was a nice touch. Everything was great with the exception of the thin walls, which unfortunately makes it a deal breaker for me.

The only thing we liked is its location, right next to Jack London Square. The bathroom is tiny and outdated. no tub for my children. Advertised "city view" was actually view of the back alley/parking lot. $25 valet parking was mandatory, no self parking. not going to recommend or stay there again.
Everything was perfect. Except the breakfast at the attached restaurant was fairly expensive and the service was not superbre, but the hotel itself is a true pleasure to stay in.
Clean rooms, close to downtown Oakland, waterfront views. Thin walls and ceiling, could hear everything our upstairs neighbors were saying and doing, including peeing into the toilet! We were placed in a weird room right off the lobby and could hear people arriving and checking in. Was not worth the money we paid.

There is a shower only, no bath. The wall is thin. The noise were heared from the adjacent rooms or the passage. The room is narrow.
Balcony, view, color, staff, proximity to office. told it'd be $20 for valet, but valet told me $25. I was charged $20. train sucked.
It's been years since I've stayed at Jack London Square. It's definitely gone up a step. Waterfront Hotel is an easy access location - both for driving and the train. Great restaurants both right in the Square and a short stroll away. The rooms are clean and comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet even with all the events during our stay. The ONLY drawback was the hallway maze to our room. If we just followed the numbers we eventually got there...but no two paths were the same. Our coffee maker was broken but they delivered hot coffee to us immediately on request. The TV was also out but the cable was replaced while we were out for dinner. Perfect service.

The room was incredibly dirty and the beds uncomfortable. To be specific there was an unflushed toilet with something not so pleasant upon our arrival into our room. Completely unacceptable. The television did not work either. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
Mother-in-law & I were in a room for the disabled. It was obviously not put together with input from a handicapped person. But it was clean, quiet and comfortable.

Very friendly and accommodating staff at the front desk. I had to drop off our rental vehicle the night before leaving Oakland and they actually came to pick me up from the rental facility to take me back to the hotel. In the morning I caught the hotel shuttle to the airport. The shuttle driver was friendly and helped with everything we wanted to do, even suggesting places we could eat nearby. The free breakfast at the hotel was Fantastic with lots to choose from. The rooms were comfortable with good amenities in the bathroom. There was a strong smell of mothballs in the stairwell and hallway of the back right wing of the hotel where we stayed. That had me scared a little as we came in but the rooms were fine and clean.
The room was clean and comfortable The staff was horrible. Didn't seem like they cared at all. Upon check in the lady at counter was watching something on her tablet and continued to watch it while I standed there and waited to be checked in. Totally rude and unprofessional.
Staff try hard to please This was my second state; the two were about a week apart. The first one was good, but there were lots of problems this time. The main one was with the key, which failed repeatedly. Also, I tried to print something in the business center, but it does not have a printer and the one at the desk (which was supposed to be accessed via the business center) also failed.

The room was great. Did not get to spend too much time in it though. Morning clerk was great! Clerk who checked us in was not in good mood and it really showed. She was very short and seemed like we were bothering her. Others were being given complementary water. We were not. We were unsure where to go in parking lot and building. We were not told of the free breakfast and missed it completely.
Staff was helpful and courteous.
I'm a heavy sleeper but the wafts of cigarette Smoke from the other rooms was pretty bad. How about having smoking floors and non smoking floors like every other hotel? Instead they have smoking rooms next to non smoking rooms.
Overall the room was very comfortable and well decorated. The bathroom has a slight smell but it did not look dirty in any way. There is a restaurant on the premises so that made it easier for me on a business trip to relax and get work done before my meeting. Plenty of parking. Smell in bathroom and they charge for printing from the business center.
Night manager who checked me in was very nice and professional The hallways had a musty smell
The staff was very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect for our stay. Unfortunately, we had to pay for parking when we stayed.
Restaurant was surprizingly good. Rooms excellent. We used the laundry, which was also good.
Nothing I wanted to cancel my reservation as soon as I knew it was not needed. However, the hotel and priceline refused to cancel the reservation and charged me the full amount even though I did not use the room.
Reasonable price and easy access to the airport. Trendy areas are a 20 min uber ride away.
We liked that the hotel is close to the coliseum BART station and we like that you are also pretty close to a Walmart shopping center. We also liked that it was near the O.co Colisium and an Arena! It's a pretty nice hotel overall, except the street it is on is kinda sketch. Definitely not a street I would be on at midnight.

The location of this hotel is worse than Kabul. Don't bring your children here. Spend $20 more and stay ANY place else. Ask for a room with no windows because you won't want to look outside.

The best part of this hotel was the daytime shuttle driver. Everything else fell below expectations. We had booked a room with two queen beds and got a King suite instead. The morning manager insisted that I had booked the King suite until I showed her my printed confirmation that showed two queen room. No apology from her, just that they were booked up and couldn't fix the problem. When I asked if the queen sofa bed was made up, she assured me it was. After a long day in San Francisco, we called for the hotel shuttle to pick us up at the Bart Station. The night manager was not helpful when we asked where to stand to wait--just that the shuttle would be there in 15 minutes. We waited 45 minutes and finally had to get a cab. When I asked the night manager where the shuttle was, he insisted that it was there and picked up two clients ( not us). He never said he was sorry about us having to pay for a cab. Then, the sofa bed had NOT been made up. Night manager brought up sheets and said that we would have to make up the bed ourselves because there was no one else to do it. Again, no apology. If you like paying over $200 a night for terrible customer service, this hotel is for you.
Nothing Dirty facility. Disgusting filth behind bed which I found looking forvan outlet. The only outlet available in the bedroom was barely functional. Nothing stayed plugged in. The room made me want to sleep completely clothed. Ew.

Wonderful room, helpful staff, relaxing atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The wireless connectiondid not work for me, but I still had Internetin my room, so no real problem.
location. Breakfast. Cat. Staff. floppy bed. Noisy guests above us who showered at 2am after walking up the very Creaky wood stair case. Loud water pipes when others use toilet or faucet for hand washing and showering.
