Pros: First class fitness center, comfortable rooms, excellent service by staff. Like the layout of the restaurant. My go to place from now on when I am visiting the area.
Pros: with club sport connection - good facilities for excercise/relaxation
clean, well-tended facility
Cons: only valet parking - or try to find something out on the street and walk...
Pros: This hotel has functionally become my second home. My husband and I are both from the bay area and this is the perfect spot central to all of the grandparents. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The service is excellent.
By far, my favorite thing about this hotel is that it has an amazing gym with everything you could possible want. The kids world, made my children want to move to Walnut Creek, they loved it and want to know when we are coming back!. Cant say enough about this place, we love it!

Pros: Great rooms for a family. Nice accommodations. My kids love the breakfast.
Pros: The rooms were clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and an extra blanket provided. Everything I used in the kitchen and living areas worked well, and the room was efficiently designed. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant, the made-to-order omelets were very good. I liked the close proximity to eateries and easy freeway access. Ample parking. Key card readers at all exterior doors worked well (not always the case, so happy to see).
Cons: My room had an extremely noisy bathroom fan and the shower did not drain properly, so I would stand in 3 inches of water at the end. There was no ice when I got in, so I turned on the ice-maker, which was very loud the first night. The noise from the adjacent rooms shower was a very high pitched squeal (they showered at 5am).
Pros: Our room was fantastic. We paid a little over $100 and we were put in a room with a nice chaise lounge, a comfortable King bed, and (to our surprise) a kitchenette larger than the one in my first apartment! It comes stocked with all of the dishes, utensils, pots and pans you need to cook full meals! The staff was helpful, and they had no problem accommodating my request for no down pillows (I'm allergic). Overall, it was a fantastic stay at what felt like a luxurious hotel. We will be looking to stay here again when we come back to San Francisco.
Pros: The room was very spacious. Liked the full kitchen, it's very helpful when traveling with children. Very quiet and relaxing at night, complimentary breakfast was great, convenient location with shops, theaters and restaurants within walking distance. The room was spot clean, overall a great experience.
Cons: The shampoo and conditioner didn't work for me and it would have been nice to see a little more color in the room(my personal preference).
Pros: The gym and breakfast was the best. It was also great to be so close to dinning and the freeway.
Cons: Maid service never came. Was a little disappointing.

Pros: We had an awesome time. Staff were wonderful even when we had an issue with our room they fixed it quickly and accommodated our needs. The breakfast was good and the hotel location was beautiful. I enjoyed every bit of our stay especially since there were 11 of us. It was great .
Pros: It is located next to the water with a park, walking, and biking trails it is a lovely location for families. The breakfast is good with a variety of choices.
Cons: It is next to Oakland International Airport. You hear when the planes take off.
Pros: The fact that it has a wonderful breakfast and is close to the Bay Breeze race area.
Cons: The front desk employees were not as friendly as previous visits and the room was not as clean and fresh smelling as previous visits. This was our 3rd stay in this hotel and when we mentioned this the fellow at the front desk just said," oh."
Pros: The weather
Cons: That I can't use a prepaid master debit card to pay for hotel.
Cons: A bit dated

The hotel has an outdoor pool and spa. There is a fitness center, and also running trail along the marina. The hotel also has a business center and provides a complimentary deluxe breakfast.
Pros: The best beds ever! Always clean and comfortable.
Pros: Great location for Raiders fans. airport shuttle. Great staff
Pros: We always get king suites with Hampton Inn, and have yet to be disappointed. This particular suite seemed a little bigger than average. Perhaps it was the floor plan.
Pros: Quick check in.
Clean and spacious rooms.
Pros: Loved the location. Felt safe, close to airport, and also close to the bay.
Cons: The roads around were a little confusing.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a minor issue with the room which they attempted to resolve immediately. It was also nice to have a decent size room with a separate sitting and sleeping area after having been in a room for about the same price across the bay that was a third the size.
It was also 2 blocks from the Fireside which is a bar that one of my friends opened. That was the only reason I was staying in Alameda at all ;-)
Cons: The pancakes were pretty lousy (Sam liked the waffles though). The air conditioning would not shut off in the room and we had to have someone come and fix it. They were super helpful though and offered us another room.

The business center offers meeting and conference rooms, presentation equipment and supplies, complimentary wireless Internet, printing, fax service and computer access.
Pros: comfortable bed. Great shower and bathroom. clean. The front desk people were very pleasant.
Cons: Only one sink. no refrigerator. for two nights our phone didn't work and after 2 calls they brought a new one that did work. The cheapened it up a bit. No longer have a free breakfast like they did a year or two ago. Bunch of noisy teenagers with a ball team on Saturday night. Not as good as when we stayed a year ago. Breakfast with eggs was $14--no thanks. Still a decent place but not 5 star
Pros: Staff very friendly
Cons: No fridge in standard room
No usb outlets
Very hard, lumpy uncomfortable bed
No separate recycling bins in room
Pros: Courteous staff. Ice machines. Dining area.
Cons: Would have liked a small refrigerator in room. Would have liked free snack, fruit and yogurt with coffee in the morning. Would have liked block out curtains between the exercise area and the bar/entry area. Would have liked exercise bikes facing out, so that athlete doesn't have to face wall, having people watch her backside bounce on the treadmill.
Pros: What did you like?
You were one of the only hotels with an indoor pool in the area. We booked two rooms next to each other for our family and a group of teen-age friends. With the door open the rooms felt like one contiguous room; it was easy to go back and forth. The outside patio was very nice and no one else was using it. The front desk staff were very nice. We liked the lobby; it had several areas, including a fireplace that felt homey. The housekeepers were very courteous.
Cons: What didn't you like?
Pros: Clean with friendly staff easy walking distance for myself which is hard being disabled.
Cons: So close to the freeway our view was of traffic all day n night
Pros: Very clean
Super comfy bed
Very close to fwy
Cons: Room was a bit small

Cons: First, had to move rooms, heat not working in the first. Second room, some TV channels not working. The place is newly renovated but the work is marginal in places, for example, in my room the composite floor planks (no carpet) had gaps to the subfloor. Been at this hotel a number of times, not sure its the same.
Pros: Hardwood floors, bath amenities
Cons: noisy room, clicking sound all night, I was in a room located behind the elevators so I heard them running THE ENTIRE NIGHT. Updated hotel but I doubt I'd stay there again.
Pros: I love staying at the Walnut Creek Marriott! Every time I stay there the staff shows the most gracious hospitality. I always feel like I'm visiting friends every time I'm there. I am very particular about the hotels I stay in, and this is by far my favorite one. My room is always clean, and the area is always quiet. I can't think of a problem I've had that the Marriott staff resolved without issue because I've never had a problem with any of my reservations, room service orders, or special accommodations. Oh! I can remember that my most recent stay was the result of an unfortunate situation, and the staff gave me a complimentary $10 credit for a drink at the bar. I know it's small, but the gesture was nice; they acknowledged how upset I was and made an effort to brighten my day... that drink definitely helped! They new I needed it hahaha
In any case, Walnut Creek Marriott is and will always be my first choice.
Cons: Price of breakfast
Pros: Good location to freeway. Decent rooms. A bit overpriced for what you get, but in range for the area.
Cons: Valet parking only @ $21 for one night. What they didn't make obvious is that there is free parking nearby.
Pros: The service was outstanding
Cons: The rooms could use updating

Cons: I was quoted a rate of $189 for tow rooms--I confirmed the rate when I checked in --When I checked out the first night was 189 but the next three were $193 --I know its only a $24 difference but it's the sort of experience that sticks with you --
Pros: I really liked the breakfast, the fact that there was two separate rooms with a pull out coach was amazing too. Really pretty pond through out the hotel.
Pros: Excellent service
Cons: Room a bit warm on 8th floor

Pros: To be fair I'm a Marriott person and the Walnut Creek Marriott was full. This hotel isn't bad at all, it's just not the Marriott! ; ). Clean and kept, just if you are a light sleeper, make sure you don't get a room facing the freeway.
Pros: Great prices, clean, excellent buffett breakfast, good location, and parking garage! Loved our stay!
Pros: extensive breakfast, plenty of food
afternoon cookies, a nice touch
free parking, a real plus
room clean except for carpet near bed :(((
the building is a little 'old'
Cons: see comments on other side
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very patient with us sorting out the various family names, who got what rooms that multiple bookings thru hotels.com caused.
Cons: Key card glitches. Seemed like every time we left our rooms someone's key cards weren't working when we returned. Also, rooms could use a little updating, starting to look a little worn.
Pros: The lobby obviously had been renovated. The breakfast was a cut above for that kind of establishment.
Cons: When checking in I was told that I wouldn't get any IHG Rewards points for my stay. Apparently, if the reservation is made through Hotels.com, there are no rewards points given to the guest--the very person who is paying the bill and to whom the points should be given!
I don't care through whom I book a hotel room; I don't even think about it. Hotel rooms are booked through some sort of intermediary all the time. That's how the hotels fill their rooms: they use booking agents to get their rooms in front of the biggest audience of potential customers--duh!
The most irksome thing about this is I purposely chose the Holiday Inn Express OUT OF LOYALTY. Why would I ever chose an IHG property again when they don't count every stay I make, every dollar I give them?
Pros: Everybody was very polite and made us feel welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a pleasant stay.
Pros: Location is convenient.
Cons: Check-in staff has as much personality as a cardboard box. Hotel isn't super clean and lighting fairly dismal.
Pros: We were thoroughly pleased with our stay. From the breakfast and lovely grounds, to the extra friendly staff, our time there was very enjoyable.

Pros: The room is clean; the location is very close to some restaurants; The shuttle drivers were excellent.
Cons: A old hotel, need update;
Pros: Staff was exceptional and for as small as thier kitchen was the food exceeded my expectations. The only slight negative was the fact that this property is probably due for a face lift. Overall I was very satisfied with the service and value I received.
Cons: The food choices were limited and was very loud.
Pros: The staff was excellent room was great aand I had my child with me so you swam in the heated pool I would definetly come back
Pros: It was close to our family.
Cons: The guest room appeared a bit worn, but was clean. The hot tub was very foamy, either from a lack of chemicals or the wrong ones.
Pros: close to a Wal-Mart for basic shopping needs. Also, coming from the Midwest it was close to an In and Out Burger...delicious!
Cons: Kinda of a sketchy neighborhood. Wouldn't walk to the store at night.
Pros: Location, price and beds
Pros: Overall experience
Pros: great stay!

Cons: Small, noisiest motel, might have had flees and lousy TV with cramped screen images.

Guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails and mountain biking, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast daily between 7:30 AM and 10 AM. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Location, it is in a very safe and quiet part of town, except that it is located in an industrial part of town so no restaurants nearby. We were able to take a nice long walk without worry. I did not see access to coffee 24 hours a day.
Cons: The fixtures seemed dated. Our room seemed old. Food access? I wasn't informed by the staff of this.
Cons: to close to the jet runway did not clean the room after three days
Pros: Spacious with mini living room
Cons: Sheets are wrinkled, looked unclean, shower curtain so wrinkled too.
Pros: I love that it feels like home. Amd the staff here at this location are the greatest
Pros: It has a really ho.e like feeling
Cons: The room was extremely hot, but the air conditioner was right next to the bed. While the A/C was running, it was freezing in bed and whenever it turned off it was immediately too hot. I had a lot of trouble sleeping.
Pros: Housekeeper are excellent
Cons: Re surfacing of parking lot poorly organized
Pros: Location Clean neat in all aspects Quiet
Cons: None all Is good
Pros: I like extended stay
Cons: Garbage can was filled with garbage. No garbage liner in other garbage cans. I wonder what other cleaning was missed. When I told the front desk, no offer of discount or other type of reimbursement was offered. Not returning.
Pros: Staffs always friendly and the rooms are pretty clean
Cons: Not enough face towels seem to be in the room
Pros: Easy access from Oakland Airport, lots of parking.
Cons: Kitchenette didn't have utensils

Cons: Parking , & coffee is only available til 9:30 am
Pros: Excellent friendly and smart staff! Quick drive thru tunnel to Oakland. And five minutes from Ferry to SF wharf 41. Easy walk to Target and Safeway. Clean, airy room. Will stay here again.
Pros: Nothing horrible
Cons: Everything horrible

Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast daily. Apartments feature kitchens and flat-screen TVs.
Cons: Overall cleanliness of room was OK just smelly weird. It was an old dated room with average cleanliness. TV from 1972.The location was great.
Cons: Wi fi problems
Pros: Great breakfast; rooms were quite roomy and clean; wifi was good; balcony was nice touch. Walking up steps not easy.
Pros: This is in an excellent location if you need to get to downtown Oakland without actually staying in the city. It's also near major stores and restaurants. Will stay here again.
Pros: Size of the room
Fridge and stove
not to fat from San Francisco
Cons: The lobby and ailse rug was dirty.
We had to ask every night for 4 towels eventhough we hung the towels to make sure they will not be changed
Lack of table for breakfast.
Pros: My family and I have stayed there multiple times and have enjoyed it each time. Helped us to discover the quant was of Alameda.
Cons: The bathrooms are in need of refreshing.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and it is right in downtown Alameda which is great because it's just a walk to shops, restaurants and bars. Being by the bay was nice considering the price of the room.
Cons: The decor is from the 80's. It reminded me of staying in an old cabin, the room was huge with a balcony which was great but the rooms need a serious update. All the furnishings looked like it was found at a garage sale or thrift store but not in a hip way. The pictures of the rooms on the website were a bit deceiving.
Pros: Staff is friendly and facilities and grounds were very clean.
Cons: While very clean, the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are worn and dated.
Pros: The young lady that helped us at the front desk was kind and very helpful. We got an upgrade to a upstairs room. The Inn was nicely located across from a large shopping center with plenty of options for shopping and food purchases.
Cons: The room smelled of old musty cigarettes and it was a non smoking room, The counter and the toilet were ultra low the bathroom sink was 28inches high and the toilet was so low it felt like I was doing squats to sit on the toilet. The bed was very uncomfortable and very broken down in the middle like a soup bowl. the T.V. remotes did not work, not a big deal but noted. The place has not been updated in many years it seemed. and it is very noisy at night due to it be located next to a bowling alley. It felt as though most the guest were like apartment rentals just a weird feel.
Pros: The location is excellent, walking distance to beach and shopping Mall with grocery store directly across the street. My stay was business related so Internet access very important. Internet access was great and I was able to work from room daily. Majority of staff extremely friendly and helpful. Traveling solo, I felt very safe at this location. Would stay again and recommend to others.V
Cons: Very satisfied with my accommodations. There is nothing to dislike.
At Coral Reef Inn & Suites, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of O.co Coliseum and Oakland Museum of California. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Apartments feature conveniences like kitchenettes, along with patios and free wired Internet.
Pros: It has recently been remodeled so when you walk in the lobby, it is bright & clean with new carpets, same with the hallways so right away you get a good clean feeling about the place. Rooms are nice & big and most of all clean with a nice big bathroom. The microwave & refrigerator are a nice bonus. It's not fancy, but great for an overnight or two stay.
Located in San Leandro, 18 miles from San Francisco, Budget Inn San Leandro features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Every room includes a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The rooms include a private bathroom. You will find a 24-hour front desk at the property. San Jose is 27 miles from Budget Inn San Leandro, and Berkeley is 15 miles from the property. Oakland International Airport is 6 miles away.
Cons: Bugs in the bathroom, people smoking outside the Windows, loud mini fridge right by bed
Pros: Nothing to write home about.
Cons: Careful driving out of premises, right turn only, lots of parked cars...hard to see oncoming traffic. Older facility. Mishmash family owned establishment (Indian owner). Travel Lodge soap, best Western shampoo...whatever can be foraged.
Cons: Comically bad, especially for the nightly rate. You name it: stained carpets, cigarette burned duvet covers, a soiled desk chair, all from the late 70s/early 80s. It's like they're going out of their way not to update/upgrade their facility and rooms.
Compared to the surrounding hotel offerings, this place is twilight zone-ish. Can't imagine anyone returning.
Pros: Convenient, cheap, and clean
Cons: One of the staff was always on his cell phone.
Pleasant Hill Inn puts you just a 5-minute drive from Waterworld California. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool, and free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves, along with room service and free wired Internet.
Pros: I liked the waterfront area, the pool, the breakfast was good... It was quaint & nice outside of the room.
Cons: It wasn't super conveniently located to stores or anything else for that matter. The room was small. The shower was a tiny closet with no tub.
Pros: Staff was nice. By the water. Nice pillows.
Cons: Rustin the bathroom. Small room. Rooms are adjoining and there is a lockes door which other people tried to open. Ceiling in the bathroom was cracked. Bed was uncomfortable. TV remote didn't work.
Cons: Paid extra to get a nicer room with a king size bed, instead I got a very cheap room that needed remodel with a king size bed that the sheets were too small to fit it. The sheets didn't even stretch to the edge, they were just laid on the mattress and during the night it came half off. I woke up during the night several times because of that. When complained in the morning they just said sorry to hear that but refused to give any kind of compensation.
Pros: It was conveniently close to my work.
Cons: Manager was horrible with his customer service and could not accommodate my needs when I had issues with the room not having most outlets working to charge my devices for work. The room itself was really outdated and needed remodeling, most of their lamps didn't work either. The shower was a bit dirty and worn out. Overall a bad experience that I had to just leave.
Pros: We had a great stay. Jeremias was absolutely the BEST manager I've ever seen. Extremely helpful. He went out of his way to print out two separate sets of directions when we realized our group had been split up. He was quick to deliver extra pillows. The breakfast was fully stocked when he was there.
Cons: Construction on our building started at 730am. So much for sleeping in. I was surprised we weren't warned. The last day we were there (Jeremias wasn't) breakfast was skimpy. Our plan was to lounge around until check out time but we promptly left when we realized the construction in our building wasn't stopping.
Pros: We liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. The bed was remarkably in good shape.
Cons: Small room, not well maintained and a bit dirty. The linens were shabby.
Pros: Great value great location
Cons: Bar next door throwing things off the balcony at 230 in the morning
Cons: Extremely dated, dingy, barely functioning AC, pillows needed to be replaced 5 years ago.
Pros: The balcony with waterfront and city views.
Cons: Outdated room.
Pros: It's a quiet neighborhood not much noise at night
Cons: TV's need to be upgraded and the bathrooms need some work as well.

Cons: The room was dirty and dank and completely run-down. I asked the front desk for coffee and a coffee pot, and she said she could give me the coffee pot but they were out of coffee. (Funny, huh?) There was no breakfast offered -- even Motel 6 has packaged bear claws and coffee in the morning. This was a terrible value for the money. I would never stay here again.
Cons: It smelled like a bowling ally, there was lots of hair all over the bathroom, things were broken everywhere. It just needs to be tore down and rebuilt.
Cons: This place was disgusting. The staff not friendly or helpful. I would recommend it to anyone regardless of circumstances.
Pros: The pros-the night staff was courteous, except (Andre) who was less equipped to manage his position. The site manager was also accommodating to the situation at hand.
Cons: The lacking or delay in systems, that caused me to be turned away from checking in at a acceptable hour. As well as the custodial employees that should at the mimimum be able to respect the do not disturb sigh clearly posted outside our room.
Cons: My room stunk of stale cigarettes. I tried changing rooms and the next room smelled worse. Avoid this dump like the plague.
