When I droped the car off at the end of the rental they told me to leave the car they would sort it out. While I'm in the airport I got an email saying there was damage on the car. There was no damage on the car when I droped it off. I was extremely careful of where I parked the car during my rental for this reason. I still haven't seen this damage.

Cons:

We didnt understand that when the car we rented wasn’t available, that the car offered was going to cost us another 790.00. We paid 1200.00 to rent a car for less than 48 hours. We spent the total of 2.5 hours in this car. I am just so upset and feel taken advantage of. We were promised $250.00 back on our credit card and have not seen that yet. I would be fine with paying $400 dollars for the car, but 1200.00 is absolutely ridiculous and robbery.

Cons:

They redirected the location for the car and then would not allow a cancellation or refund. Charged entire 3 day rental even though we contacted multiple times and could not use the car. Fraudulent

Economy

The overall exprience is ok but Avis charged a flat fuel fee while i returned the car with a full tank. Never got lucky enough to talk to the customer servixd. Still trying to call them.

Pros:

Scheduled day for pickup all locations were closed in Central Florida. We went to a couple of them and tried others by phone and contacting Dollar several times. We ended up renting from Enterprise at last minute from airport just as another family did that was truing to pick up their rental at the closed locations. Not sure what another lady did that was also trying to pick up her rental from a closed location.

Cons:

Not to have scheduled pick up of rentals on July 4th when all Dollar locations in Central Florida were closed with no employees in site. What a mess it was for us and a couple other families trying to pick up their non existent rentals. We ended up paying hundreds more for an Enterprise mini van rental but at least they were open at the Orlando airport.

Compact

Hard to rate an experience that never happened. Waiting over an hour at the pick up counter and no one ever showed up even after I called twice. Was not able to pick up the car :(
