The hotel is in an excellent location, within the old town, close to all the sites. Rather expensive; old fashioned.
The location is outstanding, right in the heart of the old city, close to everything. Breakfast wasn't included, but it wasn't a huge deal - there are tons of cafes and bakeries in the neighborhood.
Proximity to all the attractions of Old Quebec make this an excellent and tasteful choice for the discerning traveller. Staff are warm and well presented. The hotel is very clean, and rooms comfortable. Meticulous! Well done, Manoir Victoria! Paying $23 per day for parking, though I understand it, remains disappointing.
The hotel was warm and inviting and the staff was friendly, attentive and accomodating. It was located on a charming side street in Quebec City and was close to shopping, tourist sites, and restaurants. It snowed while we were there in November and the sophisticated Christmas decorations made it a magical place to be for the holiday season. My family thought, though while very clean, that the rooms looked dated. I thought they seemed charmingly European.
The Horel staff are very proffessional, they all have a big smile in their face. As soon as you get in the Hotel, they are taking care of you till you leave. L'emplacement de l'Hotel est excellent, en plein centre ville du vieux Québec, en plus c'était le 400ième aniversaire, on a adoré. The bed was kind of narrow, they should have Queen bed in all single rooms. Also, I was on the 6th and last floor and there isn't any safety bars outside the windows, children can easely open the window and fall 30 feet down.
Very Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful interiors, very clean hotel, complimentary Internet and lovely herbal toiletries. Huge flight of stairs from Cote de Palais, Taxis cannot access the St Jean (level floor) entrance because street is closed. Main Lobby desperately needs a lift to reception. Lifts within hotel very slow/unreliable and corridors long. Bistro Saint James was disappointing- waited 40 minutes for very mediocre breakfast. Use Paillard across the street instead.
Right where we wanted to be
The convenience to everything. The hotel was very clean/ I think it is over priced a bit. The taxes are high
The staff is most helpful. The main dining room is good and good value for money. The staircase from the main entrance is long and would be difficult for those who have mobility problems or those with heavy luggage which they wish to carry.
easy access to amenities, spa... food was excellent
Main area where all the activities occur. Parked the car and did not need to touch it for the duration of my stay.
The service and the cleanliness, but primarily its location right off the hwy. I was doing a long road trip and just needed a comfortable overnight stay on my way through.
The bedroom is wonderful, very neat and comfortable. One of the best hotel room I've ever been.
Huge clean rooms, great breakfast & service Nothing
Staff and facility Nothing. Liked everything. Nice location, facility, breakfast, rooms, staff.all 4 of my friends enjoyed too.
The best part about the Hotel Clarendon is the location and it has impressive history. Rooms are fairly clean. Rooms are very cramped, beds not that comfortable and there is no private parking. The reception/concierge could use some brushing up on customer service as well.
Very nice room with courteous staff. Pleasantly surprised by the place. The bar dud not open until late and the restaurant didn't serve dinner but with all of the bars and restaurants in Old Town, this didn't seem to pose a problem.
Great location! Easy walk to eveything. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. Some channels in English too. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was wonderful! Sometimes the elevator took long but wouldn't change my mind about staying here again.
Traveled from Toronto to Montreal to Quebec City to NS and this was the most affordable hotel of the whole trip. An amazing location in QC - right near old Quebec and walking distance to everything you would want to see. Hotel is nicely decorated in lobby, and valet parking made things easier. Wasn't the most modern or fancy hotel but it had Quebec City charm and everything else you could want. No breakfast that I saw but the shops and restaurants are a step away from the front door! There wasn't anything to complain about. I would stay here again.
The hotel is close to downtown and easy to access restaurants and shops. The staff is friendly and helpful. . .
Loved the location! Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were very small. Parking. Taxes! Most of all, my grandson forgot his stuffed animal, Curious George, in room 622, there was no response to communication and he was not able to get it back! This is devastating for a 3 year old! I still hope that that can happen!
It was a very comfortable place right in the heart of the old city and near shops and restaurants. Clean and quiet rooms. It had a lot of character. Would go back in a minute.
It is a great deal for the price and you really can NOT beat the location. You can walk to all of Quebec's old town and it's pretty close to downtown, too. The hotel is clean, quiet and well maintained.
Location Lobby Room view Rooms in need of upgrade/renovation No in-room safe
Great location, comfortable beds, whirlpool bathtubs in the rooms, room service was reliable. I liked everything. My most minor of complaints was that the coffee machine wasn't working half the time we were there. But then again I wasn't even expecting a coffee machine to begin with. This place was great.
Location central to sites in old town
location very cramped room
Clean, neat, tidy, and new. The window opened. The water tap splattered water as the pressure was hard to regulate and the sink was too close to the mirror. The tub was dark so as no one could soak and read and there was not electrical outlet in the bathroom to shave or hair dry.
Computer access, comfortable beds The pool was very small and outdoors. There was a charge to make local phone calls.
modern beautiful no indoor pool or hot tub was available
good value for money.Very clean, quiet and hotel staff are very nice, . Close to downtown (The ferry is about 5 mins away by car)
The hotel is very decent and it was exactly what we were expected when we booked the rooms.
Everything, from A to Z Too many children during my valentine week-end stay
um, we weren't really there long enough to get a good idea, we were just stopping over. There was no mini fridge in the room.
it was great experience and i would like to go back to Sheraton when i will visit Quebec city during the summers... Over all the hotel is great and i do not think of anything negative about the hotel... beautiful, comfortable and clean...
Very well appointed room. Great value for the money and close to alot of local businesses. My only suggestion would be to have front desk staff have a better understanding of English. I know this may be a touchy subject as you are based in Quebec. It would certainly only make better the stay of many of your travellers which come from English speaking Canada.
It was very clean and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast was great, too.
Decent breakfast the next morning.....free WI-FI allowed me to use my laptop.....great location, just off the highway.....lots of amenities in immediate area.
This hotel served me and my kids very well when we traveled to Quebec City. We didn't have to pay the higher prices because we were in Levis-a quick and fun ferry ride away. Would be much less convenient without a car though. Staff were friendly, hotel clean, not fancy but fine for a family! Thanks much Comfort Inn
Ther service was great, room was very comfortable, quite, stuff was helpful.
The staff were great. We had come to visit old Quebec, across the River and stayed in Levis because the hotels in Quebec were full/very expensive. The Manager suggested a package deal. Taxi from the hotel to the ferry, ferry tickets and a taxi back. It was perfect. I didn't have to drive, park or worry about having a cold beer on a terrace while there and we got to cross the river at night with all the beautiful lights in the background. I highly recommend it. The hotel was clean and neat. Standard rooms, nothing special but it did the trick just fine. I would go back again.
Location, on the internet so I can book on line. Knew of this Hotel before I booked the girl behind the desk was very knowlageable of surounding things to visit. Please remove my e-mail address from your list tks
Excellent servicee, great location. Rooms are adequate for overnight stays.
The price was right so there was value for your money. I would stay there again. The breakfast area was very small and the selection of food choices was small. Beds were a little hard,
Usual good standard of clean accommodation and friendly staff. Breakfast area very small
Not much, very basic. The shower was great! There was a bit of an odour in the halls, breakfast was very basic... No peanut butter.
The hotel was very central easy walking to shops and transport, very spacious, friendly helpful staff. No
It was within walking distance of the upper and lower cities. The bed was comfortable. The kids loved the free wifi. The hotel is at the corner of St. Pierre & Dalhousie - very noisy corner. We had a room on the back of the first floor - overlooking the PetroCanada station. It was very noisy with traffic and gas station noise. The second night, we were moved to the front (picturesque side) at our request, only to be disturbed by very loud music from the restaurant and bar immediately below. This was NOT a "Suite de Luxe Plus." It was not worth nearly $250.00/night. If you must stay here instead of somewhere in the upper town, then be sure to request a room on one of the upper floors. The first floor is awful.
Lots of natural light. Spacious. Good view from windows. Late night lounge music from restaraunt below. Mattresses should be checked for wear and replaced.
Convenient to downtown sites. Clean, friendly staff, nice restuarant. We would stay again if in the area.
Suite decor and location. Jackhammer construction noise from 8-5:30 everyday.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They tried their best to meet our needs.
Location in lower town and near the dock. Exercise equipment in isrepair.
Good location. They were not very helpful wit directing to parking other than valet parking even though there is a lot right across the street.
The bed was a mattress on a piece of plywood... Very stiff
Location Noise level, room layout, booked 2 identical rooms, when we arrived one was considerably larger, bigger bed etc. it wa not clear that parking was extra.
The design of the room was lovely, good decor, accessibility to restaurants in the hotel. In the lower part of Old Quebec City, so we could wander through both the lower part (which has tons of shops) and take a 10 minute walk to get up into the shopping district of the Old city. The hotel room was very dark, we almost needed a flaslight to see into the fridge. We didn't see any cleaning staff for our entire 3 day stay. To do the dishes it would have been nice to have a dish drying rack, and there were some supplies in the kitchen missing that we had to call for, but service was prompt. We didn't get any advice from the staff about what to do during our stay, so we had to ask staff of restaurants we went to etc.
Location of the hotel, as most attractions, sites where within walking distance. The actual hotel atmosphere romantic historic.
Location great! Room cozy and romantic - loved the stain glass. Helpful staff. Great time :)
The hotel was located in the center of the old city of Quebec. All activities were within walking distance.
Hotel Acadia is well situated near all restaurants and activities in old Quebec City. It is very quaint and reasonably priced. We were able to drive to this hotel and leave our car with the attendant for a small fee. We especially enjoyed the French cuisine in nearby restaurants.
Central location to explore Old Quebec. Rustic decor in keeping with the historical location. Car became inaccessible due to valet parking off-site, although totally understandable in view of location of hotel in the heart of the old city.
Location, very comfortable room No
good location within easy walking distance of all the city attractions A very small room for the money. Our companions were in a room below grade with a window that could not be opened; they felt it was quite stuffy and claustrophobic.
We enjoyed this hotel,as it is very central to everything. The room we had was very nice, including all comforts that go with it. We definetly would go back in a flash NOT REALLY
The location Very comfortable bed
Good place to tour Quebec, visit to the Citadel, River Cruise Great walking in old town ,loved the Buskers very enteraining Breafast arrangments , we were given breafast tokens to use at hotel around corner at sister hotel, service was shocking first day ok second day waited 50 minutes for breafast then left without receiving breafast complained to hotel arcadia lots of sympathy however no consolation prize and no rebate off the bill we ate at our own choice of venue for the rest of stay.
The renovated room and view We were first provided a non renovated room that was not clean, requires a lot of maintenance. Our AC didn't work, ceiling and the mirror lights didn't work. On the 2nd day we informed the desk while heading out in the morning. The issues were not rectified upon our return. We called again prior to leaving for dinner. Upon our return, we noticed the lights were fixed but the AC didn't work all night. Neither was any follow through from the hotel regarding the issues. No follow up call to the room to check on us. Not a luxury service. On the 3rd morning I called and asked for the manager and the AFOM said she would upgrade to renovated room and waive the $40 upcharge as if it was a favor. We had not slept the night before and gladly accepted the offer.
The location was fantastic. The pool area and terrace. The architecture and history of the building. Staff was wonderful. Crowded, expensive, no wifi, average room.
All staff was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.
Wonderful location, elegant hotel with great view and nice bar. No concierge available much of the time. Elevator not always operating.
Staying in a historic building in a great city. Didn't touch the car for 4 days. Great dining both in and around the hotel at a number of spots. Unbelievable views. Only that I didn't plan on a longer stay.
Beautiful interior and exterior, pool and related facilities were generously appointed. Small room (even the "deluxe" room). Comfortable bed, but not THAT comfortable; my bed at home is much more so. There is a charge for every single thing... $16 a day for internet access is a joke, $36 a day for valet parking, $18 for a small pour cocktail at the bar. If I had it to do again, I'd stay somewhere else and visit the Chateau. Unless you are loaded and the money means nothing to you, I'd suggest the same.
Location, architecture, overall experience, elegance, staff readiness to please, convenience Phones in the room didn't work, dental kit took too long to get delivered,
Location Polite staff Clogged bathtub Dirty shelf in the closet
Well kept facility and competent staff. Great location. Would come again. But . . . you run a luxury hotel. And then you do a Motel 6 maneuver and charge people for WiFi in their room. I would expect this from an American airline company (the worst customer service businesses on the planet), but not from a top-end hotel chain.
Beautiful hotel, friendly and super accommodating staff. Wish we had more time to use the pool and to relax at the lounge area by the pool. It is close o all. We will go back again. Parking is pricy. We got complimentary water the first day and then no more afterwards. Water is $8 a bottle in the room! Lobby could use some updating.
The hotel staff is very professional and helpful, and location is close to most travel attractions. It's a landmark hotel with signifiant history. None
The location in Old Town can't be beat. The staff was very helpful in suggesting & reserving dinner. Handled room issue with free upgrade when I didn't accept lesser room. First impressions: a disaster! Tried to give us a double bed for our king reservation. Two of the three elevators were down. Took an hour for bags to make up to room. No towels in room when we arrived. The white wine had been used & filled with water!
I liked just about everything there. It's excellent. The swimming pool is small, so I didn't bother to try it.
I thought it was everything I hoped for and more.Loved that Starbucks was right across the street!
Hotel was in a great location. Able to walk to attractions and restaurants. Would stay there again. Staff was friendly and helpful.
a pleasant reasonably priced hotel in an excellent location with above average facilities and helpful staff
The hotel was very convenient to Vieux Quebec and near excellent restaurants. It was very good value and I would stay there again. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
Room very good Like a zoo at feeding time hotel could not cope with the number of guests it at breakfast time thank goodness foe the exits down three flights of staire or we would still be there now waiting foe a lift with out doubt the worst embassy suite wqe have stayed in the lobby was adisaster area not worth trhe money we paid
staff was very helpful, bus stopped right at the corner of the hotel, restaurant in hotel was very good
The hotel was clean, service was excellent, lobby had a welcoming atmosphere, rooms were tidy and organized, bathroom was spotless, the hotel women were beautiful. Pillows kind of uncomfortable, room furniture looked a little bit too vintage for my taste. Reminded me of my grandma's home - not a bad thing but interesting point.
The concierge was very helpful and affable and the hotel was within walking distance of Old Quebec. I was shocked to see that the hotel's restaurant was "St Hubert" chicken, a chain in my opinion only a bit above McDonald's! But the bartender was pleasant. There was no other choice, even for breakfast. The parking was very expensive for what it was: tight spots and very few of them when we arrived on Tuesday afternoon. The staff at the check-in/check-out never smiled. I found that odd.
the bed is comfortable; the location is awsome! the free space of the room is too small, also the internet is so bad. Theres one day that the staff not clean our room.
Well located in the centre of the city. Room was comfortable for short stay. Parking a bit expensive though.
The staff are exceptional and very personable. The owner can be very proud. We recommend the restaurant for superb cuisine and presentation.
A great little hotel in a great location. no elevator
Everything was quite good. We will recommend the hotel to others and return.
We appreciated the help we received from all the staff. They even helped us take decisions on what to do during the day. This is very peculiar. There is a strong food smell on the stairs, that reaches the entrance of the room. This is only down side of the hotel.
Extremely helpful staff, I twice stayed here in one week, fourth floor of the hotel hard by the church square. The rooms are spacious and darkly handsome with just the night accents of decor. Love the rich wood floors and doors, roomy bathrooms and just everything. I travel a lot and honestly cannot demerit the hotel for anything. From directions to restaurant recommendations to central location in old Montreal to handout umbrellas on a rainy Wednesday, Place d'Armes came through.
Excellent staff! Very nice, cozy room. Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Nice old building with lots of character. Wireless internet was very helpful. Very nice setting on a 'pedestrian only' street. Great location. Parking was close by. Pleasant restaurant (with nice staff) downstairs. I wish I had stayed here (and in Old Quebec) for more than two nights!
The central location did not require getting a taxi or walking too far. The bed was comfortable. Too many stairs
Very helpful staff. Great location. Clean. Quiet. Great breakfast which is included in the price. Overall excellent value at $160 per night. Very hard to find the hotel. Room was very small with a shower made entirely of glass in the bedroom itself. Room was very small.
I loved the location just next to the Frontenac and Artist's Lane. There was no elevator and the noise from outside could be loud at times.
One issue I had was when I was given my credit card receipt it was not itemised, so I had no idea if the valet charge was included. I therefore paid the valet guy separate for the valet parking. Then, when I later went over the credit card bill it appears that I had been charged for the valet on the credit card bill. An itemised receipt would have made me aware of this. Other than that I have no complaints, but I think this is something that is easily rectified.
Beautiful decor, great location and a romantic atmosphere. Wifi needs to be available in room. Also, glasses are needed for water.
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at compared to many throughout the world. Will be staying long term when I decide to write my book. Room, location and of course the staff were outstanding. wE REALLY WERE GUESTS AND ARE NOT BEING PAID FOR THIS REVIEW. Also, this is the first review we have ever done. COMPUTERS ####%^^#@@#$%!!! HAVING TO CHECK OUT
The hotel was very charming and the location was perfect. We walked to everything. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Delicious breakfasts delivered to our room in the morning. Nothing negative to report.
Perfect location - very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff - fantastic free walking tour
The staff at the hotel was friendly, helpful and attentive. We appreciated the small perks offered by the hotel.
We liked the idea of a "picnic breakfast". Very unique concept. The hotel is centrally located and there is no need for a car. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They let us know of various activities that were going on around the area during our stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is coffee available all the time as well as a public computer to use for internet purposes. The rooms also have wireless internet available for guests who bring their own computer. No parking on site. You have to pay for parking in addition to your room rate although the underground parking garage is not far from the hotel.
It is in the middle of the site-seeing city center, close to many good restaurants, clean, friendly and helpful English-speaking staff, and very reasonably priced. The basket hanging on the door each morning with a nice continental breakfast was a great extra.
The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a nice lounge area with reading library, internet access, etc. ...great feature. The are very close to many tour sites, restaurants, etc We enjoyed a provided walking tour arranged by the hotel with a good, knowledgeable tour guide...just a great all around experience for both of us. Nothing much stands out as a problem. Parking is a short distance away but not too much of an inconvenience.
Excellent service, fantastic atmosphere and all around an exceptional venue. I would certainly book another stay and recommend it to other.
nice athmosphere and good service
Front desk staff were very polite and helpful in providing directions and suggestions. All front desk staff were extremely professional. No soap or shampoo was provided on our second day when the room was cleaned. DVDs were kept for several days by some guests, thus we were unable to access them.
Just a few blocks with the old city. It was great to be able to come back to the pool with our 18 month old after hours of hiking the city. Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, price was great. The only thing that was strange was the elevator set up, but by no means a deal breaker.
Great location, comfortable bed and spacious room lack of drawer space
The beds were very comfortable
the breakfast opens at 8am on weekdays, we left at 7am. It should open at 6am like weekends.
Excellent service. Staff went out of their way to help us and ensure a great stay. Hotel is business focused, but service is always first .
It is near old Quebec City which you can walk to easily, and was close to my destination for a trade show. I made a reservation for two rooms, saying that we wanted to be on the same floor and paid for both rooms before the other party arrived. Result I was on dthe 3rd floor they on the 9th. At check-in I was told the 3rd floor had a better view than the 9th, this after they saw my rate?
Staff was friendly and the location was good The hotel did not have our original rooms ready. It was an older hotel so what they refer to as "signature" rooms and perks, were infact what other hotels consider standard amenities for guests.
convenience to convention centre mildew under caulking in bathroom: Between counter and mirror
Close to the convention center. Everything fine/
Convenience to the old city and lower city
Good location. Couldn't open the windows, the curtains did not close so that there was a 3-4 ft. gap, meaning the morning light came in very early and woke me up. Bathtup took forever to drain.
The convenience of being so close to everything!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was conveniently located. The continental breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Our room overlooked a school yard and it was fun to wake up to the sound of children laughing and playing (of course, it might be because we are grandparents so maybe everyone wouldn't enjoy the sound) Our room was on the small side.
Conveniently located, excellent service, excellent spacious room, free Internet access.
Very good location. Well-equiped lobby (computer, newspapers, cafee machine). Parking on site. Good breakfast.
located in the central area noise, parking not available
friendly staff good breakfast clean rooms and great location
We were away for 2 weeks and this was by far the most comfortable hotel we stayed at. The design/decorating was eclectic and very pleasing. We stayed in a new wing and our companions stayed in an updated wing of the old building. Both rooms were spacious and very nicely decorated. The large bed was very comfortable. We had a wonderful view of the old city of Quebec. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Quebec. There was nothing that could be construed as negative in our stay at Hotel Champlain.
The hotel is well located and staff is very nice.
The attention of the crew Nothing
Wonderful showers. Great, helpful staff. Location. In state of remodeling.
Location, location, location Not luxurious, but clean and comfortable. Great coffee machine in the lobby. Good value While breakfast buffet was good, it is presented in a very crowded space making it difficult to serve yourself.
Location was good and had good restaurants close by particularly the Cafe Monde. Staff were very helpful but not over fussy. Close to interesting sights.
location, breakfast, free internet
Very friendly staff, helpful in finding interesting places to see while in Quebec
The hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly. The location is great, we were going on a cruise and the location was perfect. We would definitely stay at Le Pierre again.
old quebec tour
The location of Le St-Pierre is in the middle of the old city of Quebec, with many restaurants nearby. The room was large and airy. While not a problem for me, this hotel is not suitable for people with mobilty problems as there are a lot of stairs, including the entrance to the hotel
Very well positioned.Delightful ambience. Close location with Hotel 71 and those facilities which complemented the St Pierre. The bath plug did not seal so the bath could not be used. Despite being reported this was not corrected which was most unfortunate since the whirlpool bath was a feature of the room.
Nice location, quiet, staff friendly and helpful Breakfasts too small, often not warm.
The hotel was in a perfect place to walk to see old Quebec. The breakfast was excellent! We were within two blocks of the cruise terminal (where we were headed next) and the staff was willing to help us to walk our luggage there. The staff was also extremely helpful in helping us chose a restaurant for dinners and to help with reservations. The bed was very soft.
The location and the ambiance. Graet breakfast daily.
The staff was extremely helpful and really helped us to get where we wanted to go.. The room was small, but wonderful.. It had a great feel and was extremely clean and cozy. We plan on staying here again next year when we come back. The breakfast could be bigger, but it filled us up enough :) There are a lot of stairs and no elevator.. but we enjoyed that part of it ! It has a great feel to it..
Friendly staff and easy walk to Old Quebec. The breakfast was skimpy.
Near sightseeing location Very old and a renovation is necessary.
The Staff was very helpful and friendly. My wife and I were there to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and planned to stay Friday and Saturday night. This hotel is located in a club district. We were unaware of this when we booked in. We were woken up Saturday morning at 1:30am as our windows were vibrating from the music at the clubs. We moved to the Hilton for the next night. The staff was very accomodating and were willing to move us to the other side of the hotel...we weren't willing to take that chance.
The rooms were pretty clean and with a charming decoration and an excellent mattress and pillows. The bathroom is perfect. The location couldn't be better, just some steps from the main attractions of Québec City. Very friendly staff. I've really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, and I would recommend it easily. Despite the fact that the wireless internet is free and available in the whole hotel, it was difficult to access, and I just gave up trying to connect. The breakfast is simple, and some eggs and bacon would make a big difference. There is also a huge difference between bedrooms. I went with my wife and parents, and my parent's room was smaller and simpler than ours. Another negative point is the stairs... if you are with heavy luggage, you will have a problem.
location was excellent just steps away from the old town
It provides good value for money. Breakfast was included and it was very good! Also, the bathroom and room were clean. The room had a slight smell of humidity, but it was ok.
Clean, comfortable, elegant, excellent location The bed was really hard
It was a nice hotel close by the old city and between the restaurants. Staff was very friendly and we got a better room that was renovated last year.
large and comfortable room. no lift. when we went away we find a damage on our car that was parked by hotel staff. none of the staff told us about it.
The hotel staff was excellent and made you feel very welcome! Very attentive to any requests! We loved the 24 hr coffee bar! The breakfast area did not have enough tables and often we had to wait for a table before we could sit down and eat.
Bikes! No car needed. Walking distance to everything including Ferry and train station The staff, especially Antoine the bellman and Maxime the concierge That we only spent 3 nights.
Good sized rooms and very well appointed. Staff are helpful and location is great with lots of restaurants nearby. Strictly speaking not a problem of the hotel itself, but on-street parking is very difficult to find. Make sure you book a spot in the hotel car park ($20/day), or be prepared to walk!
Although in my opinion the very high ratings of this hotel are overrated, I liked the location, accessibility, view, cleanness, friendly and understanding manager, modern bathroom design. Hotel stuff mixed up the reservation (wrong room type was provided). There was no kitchenette and, thus, no fridge, plates or cutlery. Some standard bath items were missing.
Good location in a great city
The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are attractive, clean and comfortable. Appreciated the availability of free coffee at all times. We would certainly return and recommend the hotel to our friends. No where to hang bath towels to dry - would have liked to re-use towels. Poor organization at breakfast no fruit/cereal bowls, shortage of cutlery. Constantly running out of coffee. Cold croissants for two breakfasts - unpleasant. Warm for the third day and edible. We were always in for breakfast by 8.30 a.m.
We were on the 6th floor and had a great view of the port and the streets down below. Love the knew decor of your new restaurant"Matto", unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to dine there, maybe next visit. The breakfast wasn't that great, but it was included.
We picked this hotel base on it's high reviews and we were really satisfy. The hotel is just in the heart of everything. Just like couple blocks from the lower town, old port and only a short climb to the upper town. The staff were all very friendly, we will definitely go back again.
The lobby and guest room were modern and beautiful. The staff was especially welcoming and warm. The lobby was decorated with contemporary comfortable sofas, open spaces with burning candles, wine bar, Nespresso coffee machines, wood and stone walls. The well-designed shower, bath and guest room were spacious and tastefully decorated. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I enjoyed. Additionally, our room had huge windows with a beautiful view. Adjoining the hotel was a restaurant with great food including breakfast (which was included with our room) and a full bar. This was a very enjoyable stay. Our room-included breakfast was not available until 8:00. Due to the late time breakfast was served, we could not avail ourselves of the amenity that was included with our room. There were a number of electronic devices in our room, which was nice, but it made operating the TV much more complicated.
Very interesting design of the building and the rooms. Environment friendly. Very calm. Having to get out of bed to switch on/off the light
Great staff and location to localsites in the Old Town. Complimentary internet in the room and cappuccino all day gratis.Very good continental breakfast included in the room.
location and design breakfast is not included the price and the breakfast is not worth paying at all.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommending restaurants and making reservations. The room was really cozy and clean. The modern bathroom was very nice! The location was great: right between two major streets, St. Jean & St. Louis, and close to the citadelle, parliment building and many little shops and restaurants. The indoor parking arrangement offered was very convenient. I am a light sleeper so I woke up whenever people were talking in the corridor/stairwell.
The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, great location, good breakfast. One room we stayed in wasn't especially nice and had a bad view outside.
Staff and owners were friendly and helpful. We had to walk up a narrow flight of stairs to reach the bathroom in our room.
Location,Location,Location. Hotel staff was very accomodating Bed seamed awfully for two people
Charming rooms with lots of character. Solid breakfast. You need to check-in at another location. Not great if you are coming with a lot of bags or in the cold. A heads up about this would be nice.
The location of this hotel is excellent and the decor was very nice. The window in our room looked right out over a busy downtown street and the street noise at night was hard to sleep through.
The location was exdcellent which is why we picked it. Very nice also. None
great location for the great price. The breakfast was great as well. There is no elevators
The location in old Quebec City was excellent. There are quite a few stairs and I would recommed that you let people know there is no elevator. Our room was on the top floor (4th) and there were 50 stairs up to the room and elderly clients had difficulty with the amount of stairs. We could hear talking and doors closing during the night. Also, the main reception is in the Hotel Acadia and when we arrived at the Hotel Louisbourg the door was locked and we had no idea where to check in.
The free spa, onsite massage facility for couples and the breakfast coupons and location adjacent to the hotel, free wifi was very helpful. All staff were friendly and eager to help wonderful experience
Nice, modern rooms in Old Quebec with classic/euro feel. Great central location only a few minutes walk from Old Port, Citadelle, and lively parts just west of Old Town.
Location was excellent. Do have to go to another hotel to check in which was a minor inconvenience.
The location is great as well as room cleaness. The room temperture is too cold, eventhough we asked to stop the air conditioner, still was on till we leave the hotel. (Stayed 2 nights) No shampoo in the hotel, the password to use wi-fi was wrong.
