Superb decor and great location. The air conditioning was loud and the sheets were made of polyester; as a result, we didn't sleep well. The fact that the toilet is open can be a bit intimidating for those who need their privacy... Great location, superb decor and lovely view from the rooftop terrace. In a 'design over function' point of view, the open plan layout of the room -- including the toilet -- offers no privacy if you're sharing the space with someone you don't intend to keep some mystery from. Location, right across quiet street from beach. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas are included. I arrived early prepared to pay---early check in fee, but they could put me in a more expensive room. I checked my bags and went to the beach. At check in time my room was still not ready. There's an additional $26 tariff to pay at ck out Pool is on top floor, overlooks ocean. Everything is about selling an upgrade. Continental breakfast is $12.00, and the waitresses push you to get 2 eggs for $5.00 to go with the breakfast. Pros: Location, Location, Location. Friendly Staff. Hotel Pool very small. Rooftop pool area only has 6 seats. The rooms have no Dresser to keep cloths. No micro fridge in rooms. Food/Drink Service on beach is very slow. This hotel is not deserving of a 4 star rating what so ever. I have stayed at every hotel in that section of puerto rico and while the hotel was clean and the location was great, that does not justify a 4 star hotel. I stayed at the one suite bedroom which was Fully equipped with stove, micrlwave, coffeemaker (coffee was provided by housekeeping), fridge, plates and all kitchen utensils, washer and dryer and detergent was also supplied by housekeeping, living room had a sofa bed and a lcd plasma, internet, bedroom had a jacuzzi and a clean and comfortable king bed, iron and board, this suite also had a balcony with a partial ocean view and view to pool area... service was great, surroundings were nice, restaurants are ok, casino is ok beach is ok but PR has prettier beaches. Was just reading reviews on hotels in a completely different city and the petty concerns were driving me crazy so I remembered that I needed to give credit where it was due to a great hotel experience. Staff here were amazing, with answers to many questions and very friendly, too. This hotel is more relaxing than many of their high priced neighbors, but the clientel reflects that. Cool rooftop lounge and hot tub, but stake it out early before they close and stay there as late as you want. Older crowd for sure, but we felt completely comfortable in this urban oasis. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Clean as a whistle. Unbeatable location - next to almost all of the local eating and clubbing hotspots (except for those on SanSe): Dragonfly, Aqua Viva, Parrot Club, Tantra, Siglo XX, etc. Also quite close to most important sights. Would go back. It has to do more with San Juan than with the hotel itself. No parking. However the 24hrs parking that is nearby will only set you back $8 for 16 hours, so that kind of makes up for having to park a block away and having to haul luggage. Old mattress! Decor makes the hotel look like it was frozen in the 80s. TV connection is the worst I've seen in any hotel anywhere I've been. The AC in our room was quite overspec'd. However the room layout makes sense and the controls for everything are simple and easy to figure out. Also, the hotel is kept REAL clean. My stay was enjoyable. All staff members were pleasant and helpful. The location was ideal for getting around town on foot. The room was basic, practical and clean. My only complaint was the TV. It was only a few stations and the reception was not so good.What should have been a continental breakfast usually include with the room was not included. Overall I got what I paid for. I loved this hotel. Its small but very cozy. Its right on the beach and many of the rooms have a ocean view. The hotel rooms have a small refrigerator in them so you can keep some snacks, drinks, etc cool. The staff was great! The hotel has a very good restaurant/ bar. The hotel is located in a very nice area close to many shops, bars, a eateries. I highly recommend this hotel. I truly loved my stay here and will stay there again whenever i return to San Juan.
