Mediocre
Emma, Jan 2020 - Apex Inn
Pros (+) The pillows were good
Cons (-) Better mattresses, the shower water went hot or cold suddenly and extremely, randomly. Better hospitality with front desk clerks, they seem like they don't know what they're doing.

Pros (+) Cheap
Cons (-) Filthy and would not give me a written list of charges upon checking out

Pros (+) I was expecting way less. Got a clean room with a Microwave and Fridge and a fairly updated clean bathroom. What else do you need for $50. It had the same funky old ski carpet that all Tahoe motels have but didnt have the mildewy smell you get a lot of the time. just fine for an overnighter

Pros (+) Management was extremely helpful. Boosted my car off with a smile. Perfect budget stay, short 5 minute walk to casino.
Cons (-) You get what you pay for as far as condition.

Pros (+) This was a great stay. The room was close to the parking lot, bed was comfortable, wifi was reliable, and my partner and I got a good night's rest. Of course you can't expect 5 star experience (whatever that is), but for a ton of privacy, clean and comfortable room and bed, and the distance from there to the beach/shopping center, for the price ($70~/night) it was awesome!
Cons (-) The continental breakfast was limited (cereal, orange juice, alright cinnamon buns, oatmeal, coffee, tea, apples and bananas). It was probably first-come, first-serve, yet no one told us of this policy or when it started (7am-9am). I recommend staff to tell us when it is available and what is included. I wouldn't pay extra for the breakfast.

Pros (+) The location was great
Cons (-) It has a musty smell, the bottom sheet was not a fitted sheet so if I turned over I would take the sheet with me and be laying on the bare mattress :(. The bathrooms were not super clean.

Pros (+) It was economical and ideal since we just wanted a place to sleep while visiting. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. Beds were fine. Included a pass to the nearby beach.
Cons (-) Only a few things were not good: The window blinds didn't darken the room very much, and the provided breakfast in the morning was very basic: two cereals, some donuts, and coffee, milk, & OJ.

Pros (+) The location was very close to the casinos
Cons (-) We ordered a room with a Jacuzzi tub and the tub was broke but they gave us our money back so that was OK
