Pros (+) I can't rate any of the interior facilities as I had my room refunded after the assault that occured as I checked in. The location was on an avenue full of other hotels, convenient to the city.
Cons (-) Other comments are right: there's an armed security guard. That alerted me before we booked the room, but I figured nothing too crazy could happen during our one-night stay. Boy, was I wrong. As soon as we parked to check in, the security guard exited the office and smiled politely at us as he walked away to do his rounds.
