My fiancé and I stayed in the main inn for two nights while waiting to close on a weekend house nearby. We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The owner, Carol, was fantastic! She keeps this beautiful historic home clean and welcoming, and serves up a delicious, made-to-order breakfast with a smile every morning. We stayed in the Emerald Room and found it very comfortable. It's the only room with its bathroom outside of the room, but we felt complete privacy and had no problems with the setup. Would absolutely recommend this B&B – we have every intention of putting our family up here (and in a few of Carol's other local places) during our upcoming wedding!
Their location in proximity to Roxbury was the only redeeming factor for this hotel This motel was in pathetic condition. Toilet in my room was propped up with a wooden stick because subfloor under the linoleum decayed and the toilet was tipping over. TV didn't work in Mom's room. Front desk did nothing
The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The breakfast had a wide variety of selections. The room was clean, arranged nicely, comfortable environment. The mattress was a bit soft for our liking but otherwise a great night's stay!
The "suite" had everything you could possibly need for a short stay. It was very clean and neat. The TV area was not at all comfortable, and it you were staying a couple of nights and the weather was bad, you were up the creek for entertainment. Also, there was no heat. On the first night it was warmer outside than inside, but the bed was cozy. However it was a bit colder the 2nd night I stayed, so I felt the cold more. And, to add insult to injury on the morning I was leaving the shower was not even lukewarm. What's going on here?
