Nice beds Dirty room, shower curtain liner missing-got water all over the place. Overpriced and overrated.
room was close to expressway. beds were comfortable Like Zachary, we also got the room by the pond. getting to the hotel was kind of tricky as we missed our turn in the dark. The room did smell moldy at first, especially the bathroom. Shower fan fixed that and it smelled better after we ran the fan for a while. It appeared we were just down the hall from the kitchen staff? I think the room was overpriced for its location. I would have prefered a room on a higher floor for the price I paid.
High end hotel as you would expect from Hilton. Staff was excellent of course, facilities were top notch. The beautiful glass windows would pop and creak when hit by the morning sun, not so great if you are trying to sleep in after a night on Beale street.
Friendly.. Nice folks.. Nice room The fact that the people in the room next to me smoked weed all day and night. If I smelled it.. Someone that worked at this hotel should have smelled it. This is just not acceptable
Comfortable bed, good space and quiet rooms. All rooms should come with a microwave.
Excellent service in the restaurants. Pillows were terrible. The only bad thing about the hotel.
The beds we're so comfortable, and not far from restaurants and shopping When I checked in the lady at the desk was not friendly at all.
Easy check into the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful but had a lot of information while I waited for the room to be cleaned. I had to wait on the room to be cleaned and hair pins lefted on the floor after being cleaned.
They were able to change our room. They gave us a basement room by a large pond. Normally this sounds like it shouldn't be an issue... It sounds like, "oh hey, I have a room with a view! Of... A pond" but I assure you... This was not the case. I'll preface this review with the fact that I pride myself on being able to sleep anywhere. So ok, I walk in the main lobby and to my left is a small bar. There are a surprising number of people there and they are all fairly drunk. I didn't think much of it. I continued on to the check in. There were about 10 kiosks but only one was open. I was stuck behind a couple that was complaining about their room. Once they finished up it was my turn with the clerk. I'm generally a pretty nice person but when I start talking to her she has nothing but attitude. So ok, fine... I'm now checked in and have my basement room. Great. I just want to get to my room and go to sleep. As I walk down to the basement level the air immediately becomes heavy, cold, wet, and saturated with the smell of mildew. I continue on and when I open the door to my room, I am immediately slapped in the face by the smell of a moldy room. All surfaces in the room were also wet. Including the bed. There were also bugs on the bed. Really, the only reason not to just sleep outside at this point, the only reason not to sleep outside is because it's still hot out there. Anyway, I set my stuff down, waited 15 minutes, and then began smelling what I thought was a skunk that may have gotten hit outside my window... There was that small pond outside the window, and then the highway directly after the pond. I was however, completely mistaken. It was simply the people in the next room getting high... Which I'm assuming they had to do to stay in their room. After all this, I decide to ask for a different room. I was very polite about the entire thing. Which was odd because I was greeted with nothing but attitude. Again... From a completely different clerk. She seemed very upset about the fact that I was complaining. Once I was finished with the clerk, I go to my new room. There are dirty dishes on the floor outside the room waiting to greet me. The room smelled less... And was less damp... So... That's a plus. I will however, never be staying it this hotel again.
The bed was so comfortable! And I booked at the deluxe price, but they only charged me the standard rate, so that $30 saved was nice. We were only there one night and didn't use any amenities or eat on property, so I cannot comment on any of that.
Staff was friendly. Only needed one night. The hotel was close to the highway. Old facilities, cold pool, one bug was seen, good thing it was a stopping point and not a multiple day stay.
Very friendly staff and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were dirty and the breakfast in the morning was not so great...
Rooms were pretty clean and updated, staff was friendly, location was good for our needs. Breakfast was very limited, outside curtains, doors and parking lot, elevator all need serious work and updates along with cleaning.
Room was nice, a little dated, but still nice. Pool area was large. Clerk that checked us in was very friendly. Not enough towels left in restroom. The tv did not work.
It had all the necessities needed for a good hotel. Nice place to stay. The breakfast wasn't very good and the place could've used a little renovating. It has an antique 90's style that could definitely be revamped.
Staff was great!!! Breakfast was good. Has to change room because of AC leak other room was not as nice, pool was ice cold and whirlpool jets didn't work.
I was upgraded to a suite. The staff were really friendly. I noticed a few fleas in one of the drawers under the sink.
Nice room No inside pool
Breakfast was not as Good as the other location. I stayed at in Memphis Cordova. Location. Across from the mall, and restaurants.
The size of the room, comfortable bed, the ability of staff to ensure reservation was adhered to. That it was not close to any of the tourist locations i.e : Graceland, Sun Studio, Beale St.
I spend about 60% of my time traveling for work and this is by far the worst experience I've had. Not only did I have to change rooms three times for various issues (security problems, heavy smoke smell), but I was up all night because people kept knocking on my door and the front desk would not answer my call to find out what was going on. When I checked in, the receptionist was very frantic, mumbling, sweating, forgetting to return people's IDs - so I felt unsafe and didn't trust that I was in good hands. In addition to that, the rooms are dirty and uncomfortable with no outlets and the internet is a joke. I was supposed to stay for three days but cancelled after one night.
Bed was comfortable with plenty of good pillows. The room was clean. Free breakfast with decent options. Availability of food in house anytime. Staff was super nice and helpful. Furnishings were comfortable and homey. Plenty of hangers. I booked a room with 2 double beds, got one with only 1 bed. Rooms are tiny. Breakfast food was ok, but the menu food was bland and didn't come with everything stated on the menu. Website claimed location was downtown, but was 20 miles away. TV needs to have a program guide, not just channel guide.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will only stay at Hyatts from here on when traveling leisurely. The hotel lobby staff greeted us with a smile each day. They were not only friendly, but extremely helpful. What a great bunch! We had subpar housekeeping one night of our stay but the next day staff made up for it.
Bed sunk in middle and had lumpy pillow top mattress. Traffic noise was loud in room. Air conditioner was very loud. Layout of room/furniture was awkward.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Gym was good size with nice equipment. Rooms were decent size with comfortable beds. Complimentary water bottles were nice. Brown doors and dark older wood made rooms feel old. No late night room service was a bum
Located close to the interstate. Didn't live up to expectations. A Comfort Suites or Holiday Inn Express would've possibly been as nice or maybe slightly nicer.
Cleanliness, WiFi, Exercise Room Check in individual was not rude but was definitely not friendly.
Comfortable bed and clean room. Staff were unenthusiastic, if not actually rude. $10 for breakfast is ludicrous. Bathroom was tiny. There's a noisy road all around the hotel and minimal TV offerings.
Good bed, clean room Aging hotel, somewhat difficult to get in & out of the parking lot, small TV than expected
Free coffee in lobby comfortable bed lot of noise. thought there was construction in hotel. Maid tried to hurry us out 2 hrs early. no free breakfast they wanted $6 for continental breakfast and $10 for a buffet!
They charged to much for the breakfast.
We stayed at a very busy time. From Dec 27 to Jan 1. Happy hour with Freddie and San was awesome and then to woke for breakfast with them! They are the best! Always had a smile on their face and took the time to make you feel at home. The breakfast and drinks were good too, but not as good as their company. The hotel was very nice and had comfortable surroundings. I surely will tell other people about the Embassey Suites. Thanks you made it a great vacation!
On our recent stay at Embassy Suites Memphis my wife and I remembered why we always gravitate back to this hotel ....consistancy. This hotel is well worth the money compared with the overpriced hotels in downtown. The free and easy access parking and complimentary breakfast are very added feature. (Not to be found cheaply downtown). The staff are always accomodating and friendly. The rooms are clean, charming, well organized, spacious and the bathroom and shower are better than most hotels at twice the price . The hotel is especiallly suited to children and families. My wife and I were seeking a romantic weekend and were not bother by either. Always look forward to staying at this particular Embassy Suites.
This hotel staff makes this hotel one of the best! Each staff member we came in contact with from the lady that works the breakfast to the front desk clerk were friendly and very helpful! The atrium of this embassy suites is great for relaxing and entertain children. The indoor pool is small, but well maintained. The rooms are decent size and definitely could use some TLC. Overall, the ultra-friendly staff and lush atrium make this a great place to stay,
The trash in the room had not been emptied when we got there and the thermostat was not functioning. Other than that, everything was consistent with what we are used to from Embassy Suites. One experience like this did not deter us from staying here again. Good breakfast and other amenities.
We love staying at the Embassy Suites and this one in Memphis was no different. Staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast buffet was delicious! Will definitely stay here again!
We didn't enjoy our stay at Embassy Suites as well as our 2 weekly stayes at Homewood Suites in Memphis TN, both owned by Hilton. Homewood Suites has a better layout for the rooms and is much more beautifully decorated, and the beds are much more comfortable. The free hot buffet breakfast is better than Embassy Suites buffet, and the free hot dinner at Homewood Suites is much preferred over the chips and cheese dip and bar drinks in the evening at the manager's welcome get together at the Embassy Suites. The staff at Homewood were more friendly and remembered your name. Homewood Suites is my preference when traveling. I'd consider Embassy Suites as average and Homewood Suites as excellent.
We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel except fro swimming. Te pool/hot tub area was nice. The kids really enjoyed that as did their mother and I. The hotel theme was pretty cool. The breakfast in the morning was probably the best I've had at a hotel, but then we've not been to a lot of hotels.
Spent two night here and it was a pleasant experience from the time we walked through the door. The friendly people at the check in made quick work of getting us settled in. The breakfast was as good as you can get and beat many restaurants I have been to. This trip was to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary, which we happen to mention to one of the staff. Later that afternoon we were informed that a package was to be delivered to our room. To both my Wife and I’s surprise it was an eatable fruit bouquet with a card from the hotel congratulating us on our long marriage. Needless to say that capped off our stay in a spectacular way. Watching the Koi fish in the Atrium along with the free swimming ducks was relaxing after a long day in the city.
After reading several of the reviews I chose this hotel. It was very nice. The breakfast was good, but all the Embassy Suites have good breakfast. We arrived during the week, but on the weekends or family reunion season be prepared to fight over tables and stand in long lines for pancakes, omlettes and waffles. They do have no lines at the buffet for french toast and scrambled eggs. The mapquest stated the hotel is approx. 25 mins from Beale Street but we found a quicker route at the end of our trip. Simply make a right at the light and drive straight and you are there in half the time.
Very clean and nice in a good location.
We stayed here in 2009 for a few nights and just one night on our most recent trip. I like this hotel and would stay here again any time I find myself in Memphis. Rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. We appreciate the happy hour each evening as well as the hot breakfast which is complimentary and delicious. The only con is no free internet... cost us close to $10 and we only needed to use it for 5 minutes.
This hotel was basically a crash pad for us on this trip but it was nice and not too far from our destination of Graceland.
The breakfast was wonderful and the facilities were great. The counter in the room's bathroom still had the previous guest's makeup on it. The AC was very noisy and hard to sleep. It sounded like bees in a can. When we got up the next morning there were ants all over the counter where the coffee was. When I told the young lady downstairs she just said okay. Won't stay here again for what the room cost.
Hot breakfast was a little rubbery, eggs were ish and potatoes were ish. Could have been more fruit. Some of the fruit wasn't very good.
Quiet location yet close to amenities
Everything! Great location and staff is excellent.
The breakfast was good. The staff very friendly. The pool was closed. Room was on the small side.
The staff was excellent. They were all pleasant, friendly, helpful, and caring. The positive attitude made our visit an enjoyable one. I was born in Memphis but have lived on the east coast for the last 40 years. The staff reminded me of the southern hospitality I experienced as a child and constantly tell others about. Thanks to this staff, I will recommend this facility.
Literally everything It was super hot in the business center and the printer was offline when I got there and I had to fiddle with it. Other than that it was fantastic.

Great location not far off the highway!! Very awesome full kitchen/stove and granite top counter/bar for eating!! Rooms very clean!! Staff very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast was the best we had on our trip!!! It was awesome!!!
Rooms were nicely done but nasty. Hair in the shower and my son got pink eye from the shared breakfast utensils. General Manager is worthless
Great Breakfast buffet. Hard to fund.
Friendly staff Little out dated
clean The window in the living area faced the restaurant.
The room was excellent! The breakfast was horrific! Had to listen to rap music while eating. Breakfast staff was was less than friendly or helpful. Food wasn't kept stocked as needed. Long wait for replenishment. Some condiment bottles were grimey looking in cap areas.
Staffs are very friendly and helpful. There's rail road adjacent in the back of the hotel.
The room was very nice and it had a full kitchen in it. Great room for the price!

Location, indoor pool. Room never seemed to get cool enough for my husband.
Clean and people were nice. The breakfast was horrible and the AC was a poor unit.

Excellent room, great location, courteous staff & great breakfast We had alittle trouble with our TV remote, but nothing major. Fantastic hotel, loved it!
Pros: Good location, restaurants were close by, hotel area was mostly quiet providing for a good nights sleep, Cons: Dog feces on the grounds tracked into the hotel, too many dogs everywhere. If a hotel is going to cater to pets, clearly advertise so others can stay clear. Additionally, grounds upkeep is a must for irresponsible dog owners who fail to clean up.
Courteous Staff, very clean, quiet, breakfast
check in easy and the staff was great!
Very clean, breakfast was hot & fresh, hotel was close to everything we needed.
Very nice and clean The price was too much. Pool too small.
The indoor pool & hot tub were great. Grandkids loved it!
Location and ease of check in no
Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice pool area, easy access from highway.
Everything Left a personal item. Was not in housekeeper lost and found.
Location was good. Felt safe. Room was nice. The door to the bathroom needs to be painted properly. Refrigerator was off balance. Room service/breakfast was cold on the second day of my stay.
The shower was amazing! The restaurant service was very slow, my drink was horrible, and the entree was okay.
Best things were the cleanliness and the location Not only this Holiday Inn but several in past year do not have the Golf Channel in their TV lineup. This is a bit aggravating if you do a lot of travel for golf trips. Rates over $-----/night deserve better TV pkg.
Great location. Staff was awesome. Room was clean. I enjoyed my stay.
Clean, Granite, well designed, and very comfortable A little hard to get to.
It was a good price, location was good. THe housekeeping staff was very nice and helpful. Upon arrival we were not welcomed. GOt our keys went our room, only 1 bed had called hotel directly to request late arrival and 2 beds. They only had the late arrival in the comp. housekeeping brougt us a rollaway bed. not evough room to tell you aboutit
location close to where we needed to be
The room was comfortable, especially the bed. Shower had great water pressure. Loved that we had a fridge and microwave, and the desk/kitchen area was very nice. But above all, the staff was amazing. Everyone, from the front desk personnel to the housekeepers to the breakfast staff to management, was so friendly and spoke to us each and every time they saw us. They alone would've made it a place worth staying. Breakfast was awesome. Fresh Otis Spunkenmeyer cookies at the front desk in the afternoons? Yes, please! Hotel needs updating (hallway and room carpeting, and bathroom sink area especially). Very small, hot pool area. Crowded, narrow breakfast line. Elevator's slow. Ended up taking the stairs usually. No ice machine on the 2nd floor so kept having to trek up to the 3rd. Glass provided in kitchenette had lipstick stain. Doors shut very loudly, so if you're sitting in the living area reading at night this'll scare the hell out of you. Finally, the bathroom had some mold issues on and near the ceiling. Just offputting.
Breakfast was very nice. Staff was friendly. I like the sitting area. I would stay again. Elevator broken, Lobby was overheated
No complaints everything was wonderful
The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The breakfast was pretty good. What stood out was that we didn't book the room needing a crib but we asked at check-in and they brought up a pack and play for our baby at no additional cost. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Everything was great. As with all hotel rooms it was not possible to close the curtains and get complete black out in the room.
It was only a 15min drive from downtown avoiding highways. There was a major traffic jam on I-40W, so I decided to take the streets. It was a straight shot down Summer Ave. the continental breakfast was decent. I didn't like the subpar neighborhood. Also, the water pressure in my room kept going in and out, making taking a shower not enjoyable. I contacted the front desk attendant, who stated she'd be to the room in 5 min. She never showed. After 10 min I just decided to shower.
Clean, friendly, easy to get to, great value
staff was very nice Scary location, old, smelly rooms. Not worth the price.
The fitness center was completely lackluster.
Overall the place was just as advertised. There were a lot of pets
Hotel was clean and well maintained . Staff was helpful . Location was okay but construction on interstate slowed down movement
Great location close to the beach, gas station, stores, restaurants and hwy exit. Room was clean with comfy bed with amazing view. Side door didn't lock up they taped the magnet mechanism not sure why? Smelled marijuana in the evening
The bed was comfortable, however, the comforter seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned in a WHILE. The facilities weren't ready, i.e. the pool and the fitness room were not operable
It was close to the events I was attending Clientele was sketchy, rooms used for parties with overflowing guests, basketball court was noisy, people loitering and smoking on stairs to unit entrances, property is dated, didn't receive housekeeping one day, they "forgot". Would not recommend this property. Management has lost control.
Great breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable bed Internet/wifi down for 3 of the 5 days I was there, so had to go to a coffee shop to get work done in the evening/mornings early. Also, was a bit difficult to get in and out of - on a really busy street.
The room, bed, everything including breakfast That they had a $25 hold on my card and it still has not posted back
Shower was awesome Could have used a small breakfast
The staff was friendly and attempted to be as helpful as possible. $100 deposit for non-smoking room, smoking room a/c sub par, sheets were old and stained.
The location was in a good area, right off the interstate. We didn't have to travel far to see the sites that we wanted downtown and other nearby places. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only problem that we had was with a few of the other guests that didn't realize that they were in public. When you come in at 3 AM, your not at home. Be considerate of others and do so quietly.
Price Cleanliness For the price, it was clean, easy to get to off the interstate, and cozy.
Close to town, but a quiet location. Good-sized room. Can make your own waffles for breakfast! Extra charge for use of the room safe.
This hotel was very clean and very comfortable, but a bit further from downtown Memphis than I anticipated.
An excellent hotel with shuttle service to airport, which also gave you the commuter rail link from airport to city.Great way to get about. nothing
Not a whole lot to be honest The rooms smell damp and moldy. Couches stained. 5)3 mattress was horrible!
Our hotel room door wouldn't open and the worker acted like we were stupid for not knowing the trick behind a faulty door.
VERY clean Kind, helpful, and conscientious staff Nice finish work in building Variety at breakfast Odd smell in room even if we left fan on while gone (not terrible; not mold; not cigarette smoke...stale air?)
The hotel was excellent for the price! Very clean and comfortable. It was a little farther from downtown that I would've liked.
The beds were very comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast didn't offer much. The rooms either had a weird smell or they stunk.
Breakfast included My wi-fi didn't work My air conditioner started to smoke in the middle of the night We got 2 towels for taking a shower and had to beg to get more for the swimming pool My cable came in grainy and there was no guide channel
I like the location of the hotel. The rooms are look clean & staff was friendly. I dislike the thin walls. I was able to hear people walking, talking & running bath water. Also, the rooms have a not so good smell as soon as you walk in.
