Very good location, extremely near the UBahn but also very quiet!
Wonderful service. We arrived a day late due to a flight cancellation. Desk staff upgraded us to a room on the club floor. Nice bed, refrigerator in rooom. Very good facilities, the included breakfast was a buffet but you could order eggs any way you like. We also loved the greek restaurant Hellas two blocks away, excellent food at very reasonable prices. Location was a little far from downtown. But it was only 2 or 3 stops on the subway (depending which train) from the main station, as billed on their website. The real issue for us was room temperature during a warm weekend. Although the room had an AC control dial, at its lowest it was still warmer than 76 F. We found it too warm to sleep comfortably the two nights we were there. Otherwise (or in a different season) this is an excellent value for a very good hotel.
Room and bed were comfortable Location isn't
it was near the u-bahn and s-bahn the pillows were too thin
Only three advantages of the Sheraton Munchen Westpark Hotel: comfort, comfort and comfort. Very good breakfast. Interestting spa.
Especially the service of the reception staff
Nice hotel and room Rooms not ready and together as requested. Staff not extremely helpful
nice pleasant hotel with freindly staff
Nothing, for everything they charged us even for the smoking room we have paid eur 15 per night. They have informed us that we can get coplimantary 2 cups of coffe every day but we have noted while checking out for every cup they charged us eur 4 as service charges. We have paid an additional price of eur 106 however the room rates were high.
The room was nice and modern. We have to pay for the internet in the room.
The Sheraton Munich West Park was fantastic in every way. Sabrina, the front office manager emailed us few days before our arrival to confirm the connecting room for our children and ask if we had any other needs. Markus, also of the front office was extremely kind to our children.
Good location near Oktoberfest. Not enough storage space in bedroom
The room was small but cute and very clean. The bathroom was sufficiently spacious. Basically, this is a budget hotel with fancy design clothing on, which worked well for my needs. The location was not ideal if you are trying to catch a train. This hotel is supposed to be close to the train station? You are better off staying at the other location at Senglinger Tor, much closer. Also, the neighborhood leaves something to be desired.
The staff where very helpful, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the rooms cleaned to a high standard. Selection of beers at the bar was becks and as we where in Munich I thought a local beer would be more appropiate.
Good location Breakfast was not served after 10:00 on Monday morning.
Very clean, well presented Expensive breakfast as theres no hot buffet only cold
This hotel took care of me and gave me my reservation even though bookings.com canceled my reservation. This hotel took care of me and gave me my reservation even though bookings.com canceled my reservation.
Clean modern rooms Slightly further from centre than anticipated.
room is very clean and room design is morden room is small and noisy
Excellent location, and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms do not have telephones or refrigerators; a little inconvenient. It helps if you have a mobile phone.
Good location ... Ocktoberfest!!
Very good breakfast with a professional stuff! The rooms (too small)are not in a good condition; especially the carpet had dirty spots and should be changed quickly. The rooms must have been painted as soon as possible.
Its location for Oktoberfest and Hackerbrucke station was great, breakfast was good, and beds clean room was basic and carpet well used, but not to bothered about that
Very good proposition in terms of price/ quality. Convenient location - quiet and close to city centre/ metro stations. Nice breakfast (close to continental style). Excellent to stay during October beer events. Good hotel, I liked it. More attention on floor carpets cleanness.
The breakfast was good The bathroom was falling apart, the fridge didn't work and there was what looked like vomit stains all over the walls, not good.
Excellent breakfast, clean room, very well placed - closed to tram and underground It was no heat in the room - but seems this is a habit in all Bavaria, not enough soap in the bathroom
Breakfast Very cold in the room, building is old. Just to stay for a one night.
nice view of church with a large balcony, modern interior, good beds, good buffet, parking was convenient small room but separate beds for quad room, a bit far from alt stadt if that what you hope to visit.
good breakfasts, good location There is no internet in the hotel at all !!!!!!
clean and comfortable; convenient to public transport; good breakfast in pleasant dining room public transport passes not sold as stated; sauna not included in rate; one unhelpful receptionist (other receptionist was fine!)
Very nice hotel. Room was clean and breakfast was very good. The location might be a bit to far away from the center of town and the railway station (I travelled by train) but I found the extra meters well spent.
Breakfast is good. Rooms need new carpets.
Exelent location for Octoberfest Very poor breakfast for that money
Location, breakfast, the staff, all was actually very very good. I forgot my mobile in my room when check out, but the hotel staff did a very quick and kind arrangement to send my mobile to my house with a perfect save packing. The price however was very reasonable! only 2 small elevetor for such a big hotel looks not to be enough, at least 1 or 2 more?
Kind welcome at reception
Its convenient location related to the Oktoberfest fairgrounds.
located by the october fest very high price compared to the services delivered. Only one (1) not so big elevator for the entire building. Is it legal? It seems strange.
The hotel was in a great location to visit Oktoberfest. It was clean and well-kept. Our room was sparse and the staff we didn't get the room type we asked for.
Best small hotel I have stayed in. Staff, food, ambience, decor, position, price all excellent. Garden a nice surprise too. Bathrooms were a little small, but not enough to complain about.
Excellent breakfast buffet with wide range of cold meat/cheese plus hot bacon and eggs. Great choice of breakfast cereals, bread, fruit etc. and cute patio area to enjoy; highly efficient service, with items topped up regularly. Attractive bar which does snacks (though we didn't use). Staff helpful. They recommended Augustinerbraeu nearby for dinner: great on Bavarian atmosphere, generous portions, good cheap house red, but disappointing Wienerschnitzel! Rooms modern and to a high standard of decor; very comfortable beds. Extremely limited public areas. Car parking charged at 12 EUR per night (not necessarily 24 hours!). Car parking not guaranteed in advance. Room somewhat warm, small shower. Few if any English TV channels.
breakfast in the sheltered garden
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were very nice and well presented. It was only one train stop away from the main station which made it easy to get around. I think the directions to locate the hotel could be a little clearer, it says that it is between the train station and a restaurant however it is not quite that simple, if they named the restaurant and perhaps said turn left after leaving the station and at the second set of traffic lights you cross with the .... restaurant on your right it would be perfect.
The hotel is the perfect location for Oktoberfest activities!! Just 2 blocks and you are there! The breakfast included is impressive and delicious! The cost is substantial but you have to pay for such a prime location for Oktoberfest.
The room is one apartment with salon and 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The price is expensive and the hotel is so far from center of the city
the hotel is little far from the city center (approx 3 KM)
Friendly staff, quiet hotel but close to downtown, extremely clean room.
Well-appointed room, very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, with option to eat on a pleasant outside deck. Very professional and helpful staff. No air conditioning, potentially a problem in summer. (But room on North side out of the sun was ok, even in a heat wave!)
proximity to festival
Very close to the Oktoberfest Rather expensive for the facilities provided but given it was Oktoberfest that makes sense.
The shabby chic decor throughout the hotel was charming. The complimentary breakfasts were EXCELLENT! Honestly, one of the best breakfast spreads I encountered on my journeys through Germany and Austria this summer. The breakfast room was also very cute and had a small balcony where you could sit outside if you wished to. The location was also convenient and nice. The hotel is near a subway stop and it's across the street from Theresienweise. There were many things about this hotel that made my stay uncomfortable. I would NOT stay here again. First of all, the bathroom to my room was not connected to my room but rather down the hall and required a separate, archaic key that did not always work very well. This bathroom was not well ventilated and smelled moldy. The room description did not indicate that the bathroom would be down the hall and had I known that I would not have stayed in this hotel because that was very unpleasant. Also, the cleaning staff did not clean my room or my bathroom everyday, which was especially annoying because I really needed fresh towels. Also, the hotel in general suffered from a general lack of care and cheapness when it came to certain things. For example, there was NO towel bar to hang any of my towels on even though there was ample wall space to attach one (or two). The soap dispenser that was attached to the wall in my bathroom was empty and a secondary, oversized bottle that did have soap in it was haphazardly placed on the sink. Why not take the time to attach this bottle to the wall and replace the empty bottle? The same goes for the body wash container in the shower. Also, it was extremely hot in Munich when I stayed there and there was no AC (to be expected) or fans in the rooms or the hotel. Also, the entrance to the hotel was in an alleyway, which wasn't the most aesthetically appealing. The WIFI was also so slow that it effectively did not work. This was a major problem for me because I relied on the internet to research things to do during my stay and directions to places. Lastly, the staff in the hotel (in particular the woman who worked at the reception desk) was very unfriendly. I felt like this hotel was WAY overpriced for what it was.
Very helpful staff; excellent breakfast Liquid soap dispenser in bathroom
big size room, nice and helpful hotel staff breakfast starts a bit late
The breakfast room was very appointed and the breakfasts very good. Our room had a broken (exterior) window pane which had obviously been patched up some time previously by sticking something over it with brown packing tape (gaffer tape). We were surprised that the room had been let out in that state. That was a shame as, apart from this, the room would have been a very pleasant one.
Very friendly staff, able to answer any question about directions and attractions throughout the city. Went for Oktoberfest and stayed here, it's right across the street. With a short walk or by taking the U-bahn everything in the city is pretty much within 20 minutes. Little pricey, but everything in Munich is during Oktoberfest.
Hotel was clean and friendly and perfect for Oktoberfest.
The central location and having the Ubahn close by. Lack of bar facilities to relax at night, and the breakfast was not to our taste which i realise is a cultural thing.
Good location, full breakfast Bed was too hard, blanket was insufficient
If you're going to the Oktoberfest this hotel is as good as it gets!! Can't find anything closer for sure. And great great breakfast!
Clean , comfort, good location , reasonable pay, perfect manager ,Nice staff , free coffee service. except the night time employee " lady" she was not friendly person at all I hope she change her atittude next time.
good value breakfast and real satellite TV
the rooms were very nice, breakfast was very good and included, internet was free in the lobby and it was a very good location
Breakfast, Bathroom the bed can be larger...if possible...
kind staff, excellent breakfast, good value for money...like to visit again!!!
Breakfast buffet and free internet access is included, while price of the accommodation is relatively not expensive Very small room, hotel staff is not always available and they are not so friendly. Furthermore, there are not so many parking spaces and it is quite far from the city center.
This hotel offers great value for money. It has decent rooms for a decent price in a location that is not too far off the city center. They have all of the basics covered which makes for a great short stay for people that are not too demanding. There is little to complain about. If you expect luxury you will be disappointed, but if you expect decent lodging you will be satisfied. Only gripe I had was with the soundproofing which could use an update. Sometimes the walls and doors seemed too thin but it is not worse compared to most other hotels I've stayed in.
It is not far from the railway station and has two tram to take. Old, near the street
Convenient to Oktoberfest Absolute tiny room
The breakfast was excellent and the lady serving for the breakfast was trying for the best. Some strange young people drinking beer and making noise in the lobby.
Spacious room and bathroom and both modern, warm, clean. The staff wasn't very polite when solving the problems that emerged. The smell outside the hostel was very bad (beer factory?), couldn't find any supermarket near, a bit far from the subway and train (15 long minutes walking, everyday), nothing interesting around the neighbourhood.
The staff are very friendly, and the people that stay in the hostel are cools... we liked very much that Meininger. The facilities, like kitchen, games and laundry are perfects... and the breakfest, very good too! Congratulations... from Brazil !
a little bit far from the Hauptbahnhof and CityCenter
The location combined with the sense of hospitality and value of money.
Very close to railways: travel across Munich was easy A little too much close to railways anyway.
ease of access to city centre
It's easy to found. The guest kitchen is too small, with not enough pots and pans. Main elevator is broken, and we had to climb up one floor, go to the end of the building, and take the other one there. They didn't even plan to fix the main elevator. We booked a triple room, but they gave us a five bed room with 5 very small beds.
The guy who worked the front desk in the morning was terrific!
Nice and kind stuff, clean rooms. Very close to city center and central station is big advantage. A bit low on breakfast variety.
The rooms themselves were very nice and clean. The staff was horrible. We never even saw them once! There were a couple times we needed them (to get the internet password, to get directions, ect), but they were only at the hotel from like 10am-2pm--prime site seeing time.
Nice restaurant and reception. Helpful staff. Very good location for Octoberfest. The price was ridiculus for the tiny and cramped room with old furniture and bad odour.
I really liked this hotel. I typically don't write reviews but the staff at this hotel were so great and friendly I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
hotel staff courtesy
Quality of room; excellent service; very close to Cathedral and Main Train Station Nothing
Very good address for the price. Small but adequate and very clean room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
breakfast was good and the service (incl. parking permission in the center of the city) hotel room are totally outdated and definitve not the price worth - here is a renovation towards current standards ugently needed
All the staff very friendly and helpful with information. The bathroom was good if a bit small and the shower didn't wet the floor although the opening was a bit tight. The floor boards creaked, there was no airconditioning and on warm nights the windows had to be kept open making it difficult to sleep because of the noise of traffic on the main road in front of the hotel. The room was too small for a double.
Very friendly stuff at the reception.
Value for money WiFi radio strength was a little bit weak.
Warm atmosphere, traditional "flavor" and super helpful personel.
Had lovely German decor, hotel was on same street as train station, just a bus ride of 15 min. everything was perfect
Close to the city
