location breakfest not included/ wi-fi expensive/parking very small for big -medium cars
Great location, very convenient to historic city center, central train station, Oktoberfest site (although we didn't visit in season -- it was quiet at night when we were there). Facilities pretty standard for Europe. Front desk staff was very helpful, available at all hours. Wifi is unlimited with a small donation to UNICEF (ask the desk clerk), otherwise it's capped at 100 MB per night. As we've experienced elsewhere in Europe, the water temperature in the shower fluctuates.
Great location, courteous staff, very clean and modern accommodation.
Good Oktoberfest deal. I innitially booked 3 2p rooms. 6 months ago I cancelled one of the rooms. That was okay you said. At the end of our stay the final bill noted a higher room price for the other 2 rooms. This was not communicated to us before. I refused to pay the higher rate, and the staff only reluctantly agreed to the original price.
Hotel staff was nice, room was clean. Room was small, bed not comfortable, a little far from downtown.
Staff was friendly. The neighborhood was not in city center as advertised. This is a very middle Eastern area.
We have booked the double for 9,- EURO. Yes, 9 EURO! First we thought there must be a mistake, maybe we have to pay something extra in the hotel, but no, it was 9 EURO. For this price, everything seems excellent for us!
We stayed at the TRYP München during the first week end of the Oktoberfest 2010. The room was very clean, the bathroom was large and also really clean, the buffet breakfast was great and definitely worth 15 euros. The hotel was more than well located, a 5 minutes walk from the Oktoberfest site, about 10 minutes from the main train station and 20 minutes from the city center. Ideal hotel for city sightseeing and Oktoberfest partying! No air conditionning, not a problem in September but could be very warm during the summer.
friendly staff My expensive stuff (hot cotoure dress) been stole from my room & no proffesional action been done from the Hotel.
Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We were able to change our room to a quieter location without any problem.
Very close to Oktoberfest grounds, yet a fairly easy walk to the Marienplatz as well.
Bed were very comfortable. Room was very hot, no A/C. The hotel did though, provide a fan.
good breakfasts, good location There is no internet in the hotel at all !!!!!!
Very nice hotel. Room was clean and breakfast was very good. The location might be a bit to far away from the center of town and the railway station (I travelled by train) but I found the extra meters well spent.
Breakfast Very cold in the room, building is old. Just to stay for a one night.
Its location for Oktoberfest and Hackerbrucke station was great, breakfast was good, and beds clean room was basic and carpet well used, but not to bothered about that
Very good breakfast with a professional stuff! The rooms (too small)are not in a good condition; especially the carpet had dirty spots and should be changed quickly. The rooms must have been painted as soon as possible.
Breakfast is good. Rooms need new carpets.
clean and comfortable; convenient to public transport; good breakfast in pleasant dining room public transport passes not sold as stated; sauna not included in rate; one unhelpful receptionist (other receptionist was fine!)
nice view of church with a large balcony, modern interior, good beds, good buffet, parking was convenient small room but separate beds for quad room, a bit far from alt stadt if that what you hope to visit.
The breakfast was good The bathroom was falling apart, the fridge didn't work and there was what looked like vomit stains all over the walls, not good.
Excellent breakfast, clean room, very well placed - closed to tram and underground It was no heat in the room - but seems this is a habit in all Bavaria, not enough soap in the bathroom
Very good proposition in terms of price/ quality. Convenient location - quiet and close to city centre/ metro stations. Nice breakfast (close to continental style). Excellent to stay during October beer events. Good hotel, I liked it. More attention on floor carpets cleanness.
Location, attentive staff, very good breakfast, very clean.
The Cleanliness, the helpful staff and the breakfast At times the room was too warm and there was no way of adjusting it. The double bed was good but was just two singles pushed together
Bathroom. Size of room. At --- euros, it was way way over priced
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
very good breakfast
Its convenient location related to the Oktoberfest fairgrounds.
located by the october fest very high price compared to the services delivered. Only one (1) not so big elevator for the entire building. Is it legal? It seems strange.
Exelent location for Octoberfest Very poor breakfast for that money
Location, breakfast, the staff, all was actually very very good. I forgot my mobile in my room when check out, but the hotel staff did a very quick and kind arrangement to send my mobile to my house with a perfect save packing. The price however was very reasonable! only 2 small elevetor for such a big hotel looks not to be enough, at least 1 or 2 more?
Kind welcome at reception
Everything has been perfect!! =) The Staff was helpful and the room com pletely confortable!! =) The breakfast has been rich and super.. the Women were dressed like Bayern tradition.. this was very nice and typical.. =) nothing to declare!! =)
nice, very good lacated near U, helpfull staff, bery good breakfast.
Excellent , very good services ! Good position(metro stn in front of hotel), city center at 20min walk. With old but fine traditions. Good breakfast, good wifi.
so so the single room i get is beside the street which is too noisy day and even night, the bed is small.
the, staff, the place, the breakfast the noise
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The WiFi connection was free and worked quite well. Although not directly in the central downtown area, the hotel is right next to an U-Bahn stop and getting around Munich was easy.
Good place, good price, very good stuff, very good breakfest, near of hotel interesting typical bavarian restaurant.
Service is excellent, especially the breakfast is worth of a 4-star hotel or more. Also the reserved parking places are a big plus (not many of them though, so better reserve). Internet is expensive, but they say they'll change it in 2010 when their current contract runs out. They gave me one hour for free though.
The friendliness and helpfullness of the staff and the manner in which they accommodated all of our needs. The hotel is situated adjacent to a tube station with easy access to the city centre. We will return.
The staff was very friendly. They had reserved parking which is very helpful for a inner city small hotel.
The room is one apartment with salon and 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The price is expensive and the hotel is so far from center of the city
The hotel is the perfect location for Oktoberfest activities!! Just 2 blocks and you are there! The breakfast included is impressive and delicious! The cost is substantial but you have to pay for such a prime location for Oktoberfest.
Friendly staff, quiet hotel but close to downtown, extremely clean room.
Well-appointed room, very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, with option to eat on a pleasant outside deck. Very professional and helpful staff. No air conditioning, potentially a problem in summer. (But room on North side out of the sun was ok, even in a heat wave!)
Best small hotel I have stayed in. Staff, food, ambience, decor, position, price all excellent. Garden a nice surprise too. Bathrooms were a little small, but not enough to complain about.
the hotel is little far from the city center (approx 3 KM)
breakfast in the sheltered garden
Excellent breakfast buffet with wide range of cold meat/cheese plus hot bacon and eggs. Great choice of breakfast cereals, bread, fruit etc. and cute patio area to enjoy; highly efficient service, with items topped up regularly. Attractive bar which does snacks (though we didn't use). Staff helpful. They recommended Augustinerbraeu nearby for dinner: great on Bavarian atmosphere, generous portions, good cheap house red, but disappointing Wienerschnitzel! Rooms modern and to a high standard of decor; very comfortable beds. Extremely limited public areas. Car parking charged at 12 EUR per night (not necessarily 24 hours!). Car parking not guaranteed in advance. Room somewhat warm, small shower. Few if any English TV channels.
The hotel was in a great location to visit Oktoberfest. It was clean and well-kept. Our room was sparse and the staff we didn't get the room type we asked for.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were very nice and well presented. It was only one train stop away from the main station which made it easy to get around. I think the directions to locate the hotel could be a little clearer, it says that it is between the train station and a restaurant however it is not quite that simple, if they named the restaurant and perhaps said turn left after leaving the station and at the second set of traffic lights you cross with the .... restaurant on your right it would be perfect.
The shabby chic decor throughout the hotel was charming. The complimentary breakfasts were EXCELLENT! Honestly, one of the best breakfast spreads I encountered on my journeys through Germany and Austria this summer. The breakfast room was also very cute and had a small balcony where you could sit outside if you wished to. The location was also convenient and nice. The hotel is near a subway stop and it's across the street from Theresienweise. There were many things about this hotel that made my stay uncomfortable. I would NOT stay here again. First of all, the bathroom to my room was not connected to my room but rather down the hall and required a separate, archaic key that did not always work very well. This bathroom was not well ventilated and smelled moldy. The room description did not indicate that the bathroom would be down the hall and had I known that I would not have stayed in this hotel because that was very unpleasant. Also, the cleaning staff did not clean my room or my bathroom everyday, which was especially annoying because I really needed fresh towels. Also, the hotel in general suffered from a general lack of care and cheapness when it came to certain things. For example, there was NO towel bar to hang any of my towels on even though there was ample wall space to attach one (or two). The soap dispenser that was attached to the wall in my bathroom was empty and a secondary, oversized bottle that did have soap in it was haphazardly placed on the sink. Why not take the time to attach this bottle to the wall and replace the empty bottle? The same goes for the body wash container in the shower. Also, it was extremely hot in Munich when I stayed there and there was no AC (to be expected) or fans in the rooms or the hotel. Also, the entrance to the hotel was in an alleyway, which wasn't the most aesthetically appealing. The WIFI was also so slow that it effectively did not work. This was a major problem for me because I relied on the internet to research things to do during my stay and directions to places. Lastly, the staff in the hotel (in particular the woman who worked at the reception desk) was very unfriendly. I felt like this hotel was WAY overpriced for what it was.
big size room, nice and helpful hotel staff breakfast starts a bit late
Very close to the Oktoberfest Rather expensive for the facilities provided but given it was Oktoberfest that makes sense.
The breakfast room was very appointed and the breakfasts very good. Our room had a broken (exterior) window pane which had obviously been patched up some time previously by sticking something over it with brown packing tape (gaffer tape). We were surprised that the room had been let out in that state. That was a shame as, apart from this, the room would have been a very pleasant one.
proximity to festival
The central location and having the Ubahn close by. Lack of bar facilities to relax at night, and the breakfast was not to our taste which i realise is a cultural thing.
Good location, full breakfast Bed was too hard, blanket was insufficient
Very helpful staff; excellent breakfast Liquid soap dispenser in bathroom
Very friendly staff, able to answer any question about directions and attractions throughout the city. Went for Oktoberfest and stayed here, it's right across the street. With a short walk or by taking the U-bahn everything in the city is pretty much within 20 minutes. Little pricey, but everything in Munich is during Oktoberfest.
Hotel was clean and friendly and perfect for Oktoberfest.
If you're going to the Oktoberfest this hotel is as good as it gets!! Can't find anything closer for sure. And great great breakfast!
Convenient to city center. Kitchenette very useful. Directions were difficult to follow. Breakfast was extra and seemed expensive.
very confortable room with lots of facilities even the fitness center i used was small , basic biy convinient
Position, parking along the street always available for 6 euro a day, the keys open both the room and the outside door for late night and the guests keep it for the stay, easy parking for bicycles, airy room with little kitchen, very clean overall Our room was noisy, I think all rooms directly on the street are.
the room is spacious and good with a pantry it is noisy with sounds of bell and people talking loudly in the street. the lobby is very hot.
the location. very close to a metro station.otherwise if like to walk, easy access to city centre.
It was very close to the city centre. Also there was kitchen facility. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel staff was very helpful too. None
the hotel rooms are clean spacious enough and the small kitchenettes very functionable , location is good, 10 minute walk to main train station and 15 minutes to the aldstat . If I ever go back to Munich I will stay here again.
Clean, quiet, friendly staff. Close to main station. Good price, since they take away all the unnecessary frills that I wasn't interested in anyway
Ok room. I was checked in by a black man at front desk. After copied my passport, he opened the passport and looked my visas page by page. He flirted:" oh, you have travelled to a lot of countries". I am a little angry and just said "yes yes" pretending I need to leave soon. This is not airport customer. You have no right to do so! I don't know how this hotel train their staff. They don't have any idea about privacy.
This hotel is modern, with new, clean rooms, good bathrooms, and a small kitchenette. This is the noisiest place I have ever stayed (I travel about 40 days per year). People in the next room were noisy. People in the apartment building next door were blasting techno music all four nights of my stay. The bar a few doors down is noisy all day, all night. I could hear the television in the hotel lobby. The patio behind the hotel is where people go to smoke, and the smell drifted right into my room. The church 1/2 block away chimes loud bells every 15 minutes, starting early in the morning. My request for a different room was denied. This was in a room in the back of the hotel, not facing the street. How noisy might a street- view might be? Also: no ventilation, just the open window. Noise or suffocation? You choose!
Good location. Comfortable and quite. Able to get 3 rooms located together. Cooking facilities in room. Take note, the check-in hours are limited on Sundays.
Clean hotel with a pleasant personnel. I liked room equipment: you really can even cook there while living. The location is very convenient - just 10 minutes walk to Hauptbahnhof, though through quartiles where a lot of Arabic and Afghani people leave (at the same time it is ok, and I had no problem because of this fact).
close to the station and city center good breakfast, comfortable beds room needing to be a bit renovated too hot (end of june)
Location was perfect; next to Octoberfest:)
Good breakfast was provided. Carpets in hotel room look very dirty. The mattress and pillow provided in the room was not comfortable.
breakfasts, four beds
Not luggage friendly.
Very helpful staff, nice breakfast, good location for train station Bit noisy for rooms nearer the road
breakfast and location was perfect nothing
Good location and good parking. The hotel is a little dated and has no atmosphere. The rooms were dusty and the sheets and towels are old and need to be replaced. Basic breakfast and Wi-Fi only available in lobby. The price is way too expensive for what you get. I'll never stay there again.
staff friendly and location is very good, near Hauptbahnhoff
Helpful staff Water never got warm enough for a comfortable shower.
This hotel offers great value for money. It has decent rooms for a decent price in a location that is not too far off the city center. They have all of the basics covered which makes for a great short stay for people that are not too demanding. There is little to complain about. If you expect luxury you will be disappointed, but if you expect decent lodging you will be satisfied. Only gripe I had was with the soundproofing which could use an update. Sometimes the walls and doors seemed too thin but it is not worse compared to most other hotels I've stayed in.
Breakfast buffet and free internet access is included, while price of the accommodation is relatively not expensive Very small room, hotel staff is not always available and they are not so friendly. Furthermore, there are not so many parking spaces and it is quite far from the city center.
kind staff, excellent breakfast, good value for money...like to visit again!!!
good value breakfast and real satellite TV
the rooms were very nice, breakfast was very good and included, internet was free in the lobby and it was a very good location
Breakfast, Bathroom the bed can be larger...if possible...
The breakfast was excellent and the lady serving for the breakfast was trying for the best. Some strange young people drinking beer and making noise in the lobby.
Convenient to Oktoberfest Absolute tiny room
Clean , comfort, good location , reasonable pay, perfect manager ,Nice staff , free coffee service. except the night time employee " lady" she was not friendly person at all I hope she change her atittude next time.
It is not far from the railway station and has two tram to take. Old, near the street
the room was really crazy. It was nice to feel like being in another world. Beside that the room was really quite and warm. very comfortable. the stuff was very nice. I really can recommend this hotel. the information about parking in booking.com and the check-in times have been incorrect (although the changes had been already sent to booking.com). but the hotel stuff was really complaisant and promised a way of handling that and so it was :)
nice good hotel with nicxe decoration, we're enjoy stay in Achterbahn there's no elevator
free wi-fi, room, location (close to both Hbf and Hackerbrucke S-station) and district (cheap food&drinks shos is very close to), heating systems both in the room and bathroom. I stayed at Presumption room. it is cozy, but a lil bit dark. and I would value it "wow!!! such a great room and hotel!!!!" if there were a desk inside the room: its not very comfortable to use laptop in the bed or when it is on a windowsill and you are staying nearby just a few things I would improve in the room: thicker curtains, buy a desk and buy a chair (to put on some stuff and clothes). that is everything surely personal (I would throw away a TV-set as well)))))))
Just one benefit is close to downtown(you can reach Kalsplatz within 15min by walking) Parking was not available(only 2 cars can be parked, place was always accupied) Wireless internet was poor, can't keep connection.
It was a small hotel with a few rooms. My room was clean and with the basic furnishing. It is located near (10 minutes walk) the main station and 2 minutes away from a subway station. The breakfast was alright. I missed a small desk in the single-room and perhaps a hair-dryer.
The room, even if very simple, was extremly clean... there is not lobby, entering the corridors one thinks: "where the fck am I?". But then the room is nice.
The people were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The rooms were nice. I would have liked to receive clean towels daily and a lighter blanket along with the big comforter.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I loved their müsli:-) Nothing depending of staff - some guests regularly forgot about the key to open the front door and that´s why a couple of nights they were ringing on the door, waking the whole hotel.
The location couldn't be better - a block away from Oktoberfest, and a short walk away from the city center. We didn't even need to use public transportation during our stay. Checking in is difficult without cell service, unless you have a cell phone that works in Germany. We were only able to check in at all because a kind stranger let us borrow his phone. Once checked in, everything was great.
hotel toillte the waitress in the breakfsat hall . She takes different attitute of serving to different countires, I dislike her, eventhough, i do not know her name.
Great location for exploring Munich. Like quiet neighborhood, off-street parking, good breakfast, friendly, helpful staff.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast and value for money. Very close to U-bahn Goethesstrasse, located in quiet neighbourhood
Clean. Good breakfast. Very loud at all hours of night. Lots of different languages talking very loud. Paid a lot of money during Oktoberfest for no sleep.
1st time we stayed in a ( Pension) and we liked the experience, Very friendly management, and great breakfast included
the staff was excellent very close to ubahn and food great llocation with lots parking for car room a bit small we had difficultt w internet and could log on w us laptop no instructions in english
Friendly helpful service, excellent breakfast, bath Coming from Australia, the bed was not so comfortable to me
friendly staff, great breakfast, good location.
