Pros: We arrived late and Donna was totally unpressuring and accomodating...and breakfast was excellent! Our attic suite was quaint, old fashioned, romantic and very clean. The town of Luray had a phenominal New Years fire works display and we were within a few minutes of Luray Caverns and 2 hours of Mt Vernon which we toured during our stay. Donna was attentive, hospitable and caring. She obviously takes great effort to make your stay as near perfect as she can make it. The personal touches in decor and conversation speak of her character and really put you at ease and make you feel right at home.
Pros: I felt taken care of which you don't always get when you are an adult!
Cons: minor thing...the wi-fi didn't work

Pros: This place is exactly what you'd think - a clean, well-run motel. The room was in great shape, the staff helpful and friendly and the location was excellent.
Cons: Dude, it's a motel. This ain't the Waldorf. Though I don't know why you'd expect it to be.

Pros: Located in Shenandoah National Park on the top of a mountain. Spectacular views, good hiking, quiet get-away. Nice restaurant.
Cons: rooms/cabins could use a freshening up.
Cons: restaurant dinner service was a bit slow, even though it was at least half empty by the time we ordered dessert
Skyland Resort is a great choice for a stay in Luray. The bar is a great place to grab a drink, and guests looking for a bite to eat can check out Pollock Dining Room, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Pros: Very comfortable beds and pillows! Awesome location...perfect for access to hiking and biking. We felt very connected to nature and "un-plugged" from technology. -- No TV, little internet, and no phones. It was the most relaxed we'd ever been on a trip. Loved the lodge's food (yum).
Cons: Bathroom was not extremely clean, mostly due to poor ventilation. Because there was no dehumidifier or A/C, everything always felt a little damp. Lodge food prices are expensive. Bring snacks and things so you don't have to eat every meal there!
Big Meadows Lodge is a great choice for a stay in Luray. The pub is a great place to grab a drink, and guests looking for a bite to eat can check out Spottswood Dining Room, which serves American cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Pros: I liked how the hotel owner/employees texted me about the room and i was able to make requests and have questions answered thru text. The location was good. The restaurant attached (only open for breakfast) was pretty good. Location was good. The room seemed clean, but I did ask 3 times b4 i got there for them to make sure the room was especially clean (i have health problems).
Cons: I was able to ask queetions and make requests thru text, but none of my requests were fulfilled (very frustrating since i made my requests and then later confirmed them with the hotel and was assured they were going to be fulfilled). It cost $253 for two nights which i found absolutely ridiculous. But i guess they can get away with it just because there aren't many lodging choices in the area that are much cheaper. The cleanliness was overall good, but as i was drying off after a shower, I noticed several long foreign hairs on my body - that absolutely disgusted me. So I looked at the other towels, they had the same problem, a lot of very obvious long hairs on them. I say how they were visibly obvious because i feel like the housekeeper, owner, manager, other employees are able to visibly see the poor cleanliness of the towels, but they still give them to guests to use. That is unacceptable. Needless to say I didnt take another shower at the hotel.
Pros: Connected restaurant for breakfast with reasonable prices and a discount from the motel.
Cons: No breakfast. Ltd parking. No pool.

Cons: Dirty old dingy, sand paper towels, would not stay here again
Pros: Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Located very close to gas stations and fast food restaurants. I said not good for families because it's not very close to kids activities.
Cons: Not much variety in nearby food options. The free breakfast had few options, and the only hot food was gravy to have with a biscuit. Free breakfast was the reason I chose this hotel, so that was disappointing.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful
Cons: Room was dirty ~ bathroom was dirty~ other guest were very load late at night
Pros: The lady at the front desk was very sweet and helpful.
Cons: The wall paper was falling down. The shower curtain had mold. Our room smelled I had to go buy air freshener.
Pros: Lorraine at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. The facilities were adequate. The shower pressure was good. Overall a decent value.
Cons: Bed wasn't anything to write home about. Kinda smelled like the room had doubled as both smoking and non.
Pros: The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room is old and tired. Worn towels and bedding.
Cons: Dirty. Place was literally a roach motel. Dirty and smelly. Wouldn't have stayed but once we discovered how bad it was it was too late.
Pros: - friendly staff
- convenient location to Shenandoah
Cons: - several dead bugs upon arrival, a few live bugs throughout our stay
- toilet did not flush properly, also moldy
- malfunctioning refrigerator
- got a non-smoking room, reeked of smoke throughout stay
Pros: The bed was clean and the pillows were comfortable. The view was nice.
Cons: I guess this is what you would expect of a motel. Old fixtures, poor lighting. In fact the lighting over the sink was flickering so bad, it reminded me of a strobe light and gave me a headache while trying to do my makeup. I did not take a shower, but it looked like it needed some bleach.

Pros: It was conveniently located near Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Caverns.
Cons: Outlets would not hold any plugs in. Phone chargers literally fell right out of the wall. The lamps in the room were the only plugs that stayed in place and only because they were bent. We also lost power when my wife used a blow dryer and it took 7 hours and multiple requests for it to be restored.
Pros: Location was great for my stay just dirty.
Cons: Room, check in person looked like they hadn't washed their hair in 6 months, cleaning people couldn't speak English, breakfast was dirty place to eat, food was sad, room looked like it hadn't had any maintance sine it was built. Will NEVER stay at another Days inn or Budget inn period
Pros: The room was clean, there was a microwave and a fridge, and the shower was hot. The staff was excellent -- very friendly and helpful about letting me check out late!
Cons: Bed wasn't particularly comfy, the door opens to the outside so a few bugs had flown in.
Pros: like the room size, new appliance to the bathroom. every room has microwave, AC and refrigerator
Cons: i don't like the bed sheet, it looks like very old, not cleaned and at the window don't have net. so that's why if any one open the glass window then some bee's, Mosquitoes or other insect could come during the summer time. and every room/bathroom need at least one trash can.
