Excellent location. Great Value. Good Service.
The location was my initial reason for choosing this hotel. The staff was great and eager to help. The general service of the hotel staff was excellent throughout the stay. I would definitely stay here again.
The only complaint was that the pillows were too soft. They did not provide much support. I would recommend bringing a pillow from home that you prefer. This is not necessarily a bad thing as the hotel goes, just a recommendation for future guests.
Mardi Gras stay
We loved the comfort. The bed and pillows were super soft and cozy. The location was perfect too! Ideal for those who want to enjoy Bourbon Street while only being 2 short blocks away, yet perfect to proximity of Cafe Dumonde, great restaurants, and a small escape from the noise too. The hotel offers an antique feel from the age, layout, and design that best describes the history of the area.
The hotel was a little difficult to initially find. The room and especially the bathroom was very small. The room has no view whatsoever. Needed better soundproofing, as we were very surprised by how loud the street cleaners and planes above were so loud.
Perfect spot for the holiday weekend
If you are looking for a place to stay in the French Quarter, close to the action but not in the midst, this is it. Hotel Provincial is everything you'd expect with a boutique hotel. Rooms were small but adequate. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom space is generous. One of the best features is the middle courtyard. Kind of acts like and outdoor lobby. Enjoyed sitting there early in the AM before heading out for fun. Hotel convenient to Jackson Square, Royal/Bourbon street action yet far enough off track so you don't have to "live" with the distraction. Most of the staff was friendly and very helpful
A few staff members need to go back to customer relations 101, but thrat is hardly a reflection of the staff overall
Loved the view from my old fashion shudder Windows
My absolute favorite thing was the real shuddered Windows, floor to ceiling that actually opened up to the French quarter. Like you could hang out the window and watch the groups go by on the haunted New Orleans tours. The fact that they stopped in front of my hotel was only slightly nerve racking
The room smelled a little like mold and my ears and throat itched all night. Also, the toilet seat was loose and threatened to throw you on the floor everyone you sat on it.
Staff is wonderful. Courtyards are perfect and the location is great! Would definitely stay here again.
furnishings, maintenance level
Pool, beds, doorman and location
Desk staff and the lose of free breakfast
Great service even though the hotel was booked solid for ballgames in town! Awesome doorman/concierge and continental Breakfast~
Breakfast dishes could be a little bit larger - and/or a tray to carry since we had to sit outside to dine~
2 blocks from bourbon
Hotel room was beautiful. Loved our car was inside the courtyard, safe and close. Can't wait to go back.
At first I thought the location was good but at 3am a large group of bums would gather outside of our room fighting, singing, and yelling very loudly-so much that we were scared for our safety.
They would not accept our travelocity reservations and tried to charge My credit card again, even though it was already paid for. We did not get the rooms we asked for with two queen beds. The restaurant was closed the entire time we were there too. For the price we paid the tiny room should have had a refrigerator or at least a coffee maker.
