Guests can enjoy breakfast or lunch at French Toast which serves everything from omelets to hangar steak, grits, and catfish. The Ice House Bar is also on site and offers a large selection of beer, wine, liquor and New Orleans’s cocktails like the Hurricane, Bloody Mary, and Sazerac. The staff were amazing! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk people were more than happy to answer any questions we had and even offered suggestions on where to eat. The staff at the French toast were so amazing and made us feel very welcome every time we were in there.

The room has no double glazing so you can hear every sound from the street outside. Very difficult to sleep with so much noise. You will be woken daily by very loud garbage truck at 7.30am. Management really needs to invest in sound proofing. Also amenities in room were quite poor. One tiny shampoo and one tiny soap for your entire stay. Overall hotel felt a bit dated and tired and not value for money.

To avoid potential noise from the street and trains, consider requesting a room in the back buildings of the hotel.

Guests highly recommend trying out the French Toast restaurant, which is part of the hotel, for delicious meals and a delightful hostess.

Despite facing a busy street, half of the rooms in Building 5 are quiet as they overlook the interior parking lot, providing a peaceful stay.
