Beautiful, totally updated and high tech. Not overly luxurious but nice and super comfy rooms. Great gym facility and pool looked nice but we didn't venture down there. Can get busy with conferences and hear it's busy during football home games. Decent location if you don't mind walking. Street car stops right outside hotel which is mostly convenient unless it's running late or comes early. If it's busy (people buying tix, traffic) it can take a while longer than anticipated to get to your destination. We walked back from the French Quarter a few times...not a bad walk, probably around a mile. The location was fine for us but may not be for everyone. For the great rate we got for the amenities, the trade offs were worth it. All staff members were super nice, super accommodating and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs.
Distance could be an issue for some people.
It was a very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Allowed us to check in at 9 am and out at 1 pm. So convenient.
Prices were high. And our room was located near the service elevators which made a constant rumble noise 24/7. Had we been staying more than a night, we definitely would have asked to switch rooms. Instead, we asked for earplugs. Had we asked, I'm sure the front desk would have accommodated our request, they were very helpful.
This hotel is extremely clean. The beds are really comfortable. This is my second time staying here and my first choice when I travel to New Orleans. The staff are the best. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.
The hotel was great. I travel a lot and this was one of the nicer places I have been.
The only two negotive things I have to say would be. 1) the breakfast buffet wasn't worth the $21. It's the same mass produced powdered egg bacon pancakes....that you get at crapy hotels for free. There is a omlet station and a big selection of pastries and fruit but I'm a eggs an bacon guy and it was horiable. The second negative I have is dependent. I stayed there for Mardi Gras and they shut down a lot of streets, so you have to walk because the taxis won't and can't take you down town. and its a long walk to Burbon street. It is located right next to the stadium if that's where you are going.
I like the card elevator system. I was traveling alone with 4 girls under 12. It gave me an extra sense of security to know that random people couldn't get on the elevator or even get off at our floor.
The price was too high for the size of the room. Going to a concert at the superdome with 4 girls as the only adult...I felt like I had no other choice. We paid way too much. I stayed at the hotel for another local popular event that the hotel seemed to have even more guests....same room, same number of nights....same time of week...1 1/2 times less. One Direction= let's try to over charge customers. ..sad
I stayed there because my granddaughter and daughter could walk to the Superdome for the One Direction concert.
I did not like that they hiked the price up for that night and it took 4 hours and 3 phone calls to get food delivered to the room.
Beautiful views of the city and the Superdome, especially at night. Gorgeous facilities.
comfortable bed, clean and staff friendly and helpful
They hotel is very nice and affordable. The location is also very convientant. The front desk staff, valet & bell man were very helpful and friendly.
The room service is horrible. Very over priced with very little food. Took forever to receive. I ordered about 3 times and each time my order was wrong or missing items. Just very disappointing.
