Pros: This inn was conveniently located next to a pub and close to Queen Street with all the shops. Maria met us at the inn and showed us everything. She left us chocolates on the bed, Perrier & biscotti and bottled water in the fridge. The bed was comfortable and there was many kitchen supplies (coffee maker, toaster, microwave, plates, cups, etc). There were also lots of useful complimentary items in the washroom, much more than most hotels.

Cons: The only thing that could have been better was the size of the washroom and the fact that there was no shelf to put shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. Also we were in the biscotti suite which had no access to the balcony. This wasn’t a huge deal since it was cold outside.

Pros: Great location and great owners/staff.
Cons: We were not warned to not use the electric kettle at the same time as a hair dryer so the breaker tripped and no one was around to help for a couple hours. We were ok but could have been much more impactful.

Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. Julie was an absolute delight and the property itself and the room - just wow! Loved the décor and all the owner's artwork.
Cons: The whole stay was fantastic from start to finish - if I was being picky, there is just one little gripe - whilst appreciating it styles itself as a B&B the cost is not inconsiderable so when staying more than one night it would have been good to have the bed tidied up and bathroom/towels refreshed - not a full scale room makeover but a quick freshen up would have gone a long way.

Pros: We always love coming to Prince of Wales yet always have to pay an extra $16.50 for facility fees which we have never used.
Cons: Changed rooms three times. The first because we had no heat, the second (room 325) which was just below the mechanical space on the roof. It was extremely noisy and we couldn’t sleep. The third room was great. However maid service didn’t make the bed or refill the coffee or clean the bathroom. We did get clean towels however.

Pros: Breakfast was very good, better than going out, food was kicked up. Crying two year old, in a boxed dining room was not ideal. Room #500 situated right in front of the kitchen dish washing area tends to be a little noisy at bedtime, if you go to sleep before 10pm. The construction firm did NOT do their homework. Pros: Beautiful elegant and cosy place to have a romantic getaway. The spa was excellent and a great opportunity to sit relax and unwind. One note the spa does have a quiet room where people gather before their treatment and unfortunately as is common these days there were some people who wouldn’t respect the solitude hoped for by others with their talking and chatter. Otherwise a wonderful experience

Cons: Spa rugs old and dingy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff and service were excellent. Amenities were nice such as rose on the bed and water bottles in the room.
Cons: The room was a bit dated. The picture on the tv wasn’t clear. The paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling. The doorknob on the closet was falling off.

Pros: The charming feel of the hotel and the relaxing feel.
Cons: We forgot our swimwear

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and atmosphere was amazing... was exactly what we were looking for.
Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Love the environment. Massage was excellent with Roger. Enjoyed wine and cheese at 3pm.
Cons: We got woke up in the morning by a family with screaming children. Not ideal for a couples getaway. The place where you leave your robes and slippers to go into outdoor whirlpool was gross. Tons of leftover glasses and towels. No where to leave anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hot spring!
Cons: The food and drinks we're pricey.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, picturesque hotel just a five minute walk from the city center of Niagara on the lake...wonderfully friendly and kind staff. Beautifully decorated for the Christmas season.
Cons: The rooms can be a little challenging to find it’s a bit maze like but nothing that should keep you from staying at this wonderful location.

Pros: Best staff! Cleanliness Facilities Food...
Cons:
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful elegant and cosy place to have a romantic getaway. The spa was excellent and a great opportunity to sit relax and unwind. One note the spa does have a quiet room where people gather before their treatment and unfortunately as is common these days there were some people who wouldn’t respect the solitude hoped for by others with their talking and chatter. Otherwise a wonderful experience
Cons: The ignorant people in the spa quiet room. That’s about it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Friendly staff great food beautiful hotel
Cons: Outside hot tub in the spa was always crowded too small
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Food was amazing, breakfast was really really good. Also graduation dinner was very tasty (although badly served), compliments to the Chef!
Cons: Flew from Europe into Canada for my son's graduation. Asked the hotel to help organise the graduation dinner, was met by a stone wall. No help with decorations, to provide set menu for guests involved full payment in advance, could not provide any personalisation, could not even provide a cake. Here is a phone number to order a cake, but we will charge you 60 CAD for serving it in our hotel. Hotel provided private dining room they had available. When guests sat down for dinner, preordered appetisers were placed on table without being served, no cutlery was provided for us to serve it ourselves, neither were plates provided. When waiter was asked if we could have plates and be served, he pointed out the side plates for bread. I understand if we went to a franchise restaurant that service could be so poor, but we are talking about a 150 CAD per head dinner. After it was decided that the service is atrocious we wanted to refuse to tip. Hotel said no, and corrected the bill with 15% service charge with a rule made up on the spot how service charge is automatic for groups of 6 people or more??? Other problems: hotel does not match photos on website (I know this is usually the case, but there is at least some resemblance), my elder son's card was charged 3000 CAD for authorisation (money still not returned), whole hotel is falling apart (you need a shoulder push to open bathroom door) and it needs major renovation and mattresses replacement. Cleanliness was definitely another issue, lots of room for improvement I was very disappointed.
7.1 Good
Pros: We found the staff consistently friendly and professional. Quite the impressive bonus. Also, ready availability (walking distances) to food and theatre venues.
Cons: Our room was shockingly small--no desk, poor paint job, cramped setting. A marked disappointment given the expense for the room. We have been coming to the Shaw Festival since the early years of Paxton Whitehead--some time for sure--and accommodations have, not surprisingly, varied according to price and location, but the cost of the room at the Charles given its limitations strikes us as disproportionate.

Cons: Room was terrible. Dirty small uncomfortable. No the fan noise from the kitchen woke us every hour from 3:30am to 6:30am. Best thing about the room was leaving it.
