Economy

The car had a major starter problem. Got nowhere during hours on the phone. When I returned it I explained what had happened, i.e. took at least 8 minutes & up to 19 minutes each time I restarted it to get it to kick in. It was clearly not a battery issue. Luckily I only had to do this 5x because I rented for 24 hours to attend a funeral. when I brought it back they were completely disinterested & dismissive of my concerns. Didn't even write it down. They said it was because it was cold. Ummmmm....about 200 other cars in the parking lot after the funeral & mine the only one that wouldn't start ....Their lack of concerns seems obviously the reason I got a car that wouldn't start most of the time. Also, renting in Nebraska in January & the car did not include a scraper. Really??? You have to fly across the country with your own scraper or go buy a brand new one every time? (Which by the way would require turning the car off, so figure in another up to 19 minutes to restart it...)

Compact SUV

The pickup and drop off was perfect. Some of the cars features need attention. Washer fluid was out, back seat belt was broken and passenger sun visor broken.

Hertz did not honor the rate quoted on Kayak. The final price was considerably higher. Also, it appears their car servicing person cleaned the inside of the windshield with the same rag used to check the oil. Nearly bald tires wew also a concern.

They TWICE accepted my reservation and then days later emailed me that they didn't have the vehicle and cancelled. The second email was received when I landed! They totally screwed me, frankly. And even then, they continued to represent vehicle availability online. I spoke to the staff at the airport rental counter, and they said they are constantly overbooking vehicles. Crazy they can get away with it. Travel booking (hotel, flight, rental car, etc.) need to be reliable, and that's just not apparently the case with enterprise. Really shocking business practice, really. I suggest customers avoid them at all costs.

Not sure why a rental car company would let a person choose a pick up time for their rental car that is also the time at which they close, and then try to blame the customer when they weren't able to get there at said time due to a blizzard. Enterprise is a terrible awful horrible company with bad hours, poor customer service, no care for their customers, and no desire to fix issues that are the fault of their own poorly designed web site when they occur. Will never rent from them again. Ever.

The car was excellent in every way, very economical and comfortable. The staff at Enterprise Rental was very friendly and made things simple. I will definitely recommend Enterprise Rental to anyone looking to rent a vehicle.

Counter was closed. Went to booth in parking garage (freezing weather to review paperwork). Car was ready and clean. Tailgate closure was broken (part on order). Wish the car would have had heated seats in winter climate. Dropoff was easy and fast.

The Rogue SUV had a very smooth ride and since I did a lot of driving, that was important. One downside on the car was that the automatic lift on the trunk didn't work. Since the trunk lid was heavy, not having the auto lift was a pain. The person at the drop-off was friendly and helpful.

Pick up and vehicle were fine. Drop off was a joke. The contract and the text reminders showed the drop off location as Fayetteville Ar. I live in Fayetteville. I chose the vehicle so I could drop in Fayetteville. Turns out the Fayetteville location is permanently closed and I didn’t know it. And Avis didn’t know it ! Even when I called customer service they claimed the location was still in operation. They asked me to drop it 30 miles away. They eventually let me drive it home and a truck came and picked it up to take it to the airport.

They didn’t have the car I reserved and tried to give me an suv or pickup when I wanted a car with good fuel economy. They did end up giving me a car it was fine 2 gal of gas once I got to Lincoln and dropped off the keys.

Supplier choice

It was a fast easy check in and out process. The airport situation is horrible... If you are picking someone up that is dropping off a rental you have to pay to go into the parking garage, you can't just follow them in. And it's so confusing to people that do not go to the airport often. Besides that it was excellent!

Pros:

Staff was great on pickup. I picked it up at night and walked around the car to inspect for dings. I did not notice a small ripple in the front panel due to the darkness. When I returned the car they accused me of producing the damage. I wish there was a camera system or something that could end this subjective inspection process with rentals. It’s too difficult on business travel to manage a faulty inspection process. What’s to stop rental companies from sneaking in these minor ripples that will go unnoticed for night pickups and stick consumers with faulty claims?

Pros:

Staff were great and super helpful. Rental counter was quick and courteous. Return process was super fast and easy. The car functioned great, was upgraded with all the newest features and was great on gas.

Cons:

The inside of the car was super clean, but there were some weird marks on the driver's side window that interfered with visibility a bit. Ultimately wasn’t a huge issue but maybe would have taken the time to remove that before renting it.

Cons:

I chose the option where the company chooses the car. They put me in a Hyundai Accent that wasn’t clean at all and had 40,000+ miles on it. I took pictures before of the outside because it was all dinged up and dirty. When I dropped off the car they were looking for r the outside and commented about dents and dings on the outside as if I did them. I showed them the pictures I took and they stopped asking. Poor service. Felt taken advantage of since I choose the option for them to choose the car even though the price was on a couple dollars less then the normal price.
