Staff were very nice and the hotel was very clean. It also had one of the best hotel gyms and pools. Rooms prices were very affordable. The hotel restaurants were expensive and they charge you alot for parking.
Friendly staff, very nice hotel, great food, nice pool, 20.00 resort fee per day very worth it. Walking distance to Seaworld and Aquatica. Nothing....liked everything
Gentlemen at front desk remembered us from a previous visit . Personal service.
The staff that greeted us upon arrival was pleasant and welcoming. Some were knowledgeable and were able to give us accurate advice and information regarding the hotel and surroundings. The room was clean and the daily service was good. Our conference box lunches were adequate...the cookie in our box lunch was outstanding! There is a $20 fee per day for the shuttle to Disney theme parks plus other amenities like in-room wifi. However, with our conference ending at 4:30 each day, there was no shuttle to take us to the Disney theme parks. Therefore, we had to use a taxi as our only mode of transportation to and from the parks. This became quite costly (approx. $70 per day). Once at a Disney park, you could use the various buses and the monorail to go between parks and Downtown Disney. However, we were quite disappointed that the Renaissance did not offer more options for their shuttle service in the afternoon. When trying to figure out our best options for transportation, the staff at the front desk was not always consistent in their answers and some were absolutely inaccurate.
The water park was amazing, the rooms we luxurious and clean!!! This will be where me and my family stay every time we visit Orlando!!! The price was good as well!! There was nothing to not like!!
Staff are wonderful, specifically at the Mist, and values, very respectful and kind. Also, I thought I had misplaced some cash, and my room attendanant must have found it and he/she folded everything in my room nicely, and there was the bundle of money I thought I had lost! I loved the gym, the pool, the lobby bars and restaurants. Steve, Jimmy and Jamie, at the Mist, specifically, were kind and so nice and accommodating. Good service equals happy customers, they deserve a bonus for working hard and remaining not only calm, but kind, even at peak times with a variety of guests to deal with, including some that were less than kind. My room had ants upon arrival, however I was quickly moved to a new room, although I had to ask for the move, it turned out on.
Everything. Staff, cleanliness, spectacular room accommodation, food, pool. 5 stars from us. Will be back next month. Nothing
The atmosphere was beautiful. All staff and services were amazing. Dominic at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well designed. Parking is $20 but it's not too bad considering how affordable the hotel is.
Very clean !!! Very good customer service Lily Parrish
I like everything the dcoration the atmosphere the personal was very profesional The parking access to the building
Beautiful property, great staff, and I did enjoy getting to take a dip in the pool at the end of a long day, since it's open until midight! $15 per day for spotty WiFi is terrible for a business traveler. I'm a Marriott Rewards member and so told WiFi was only free if I booked directly through Marriott - but you don't always have control over these things when you're booking business travel. Very little in the area - Sea World across the street, but just a 711 and Bonefish grill in the area and VERY DARK sidewalk and parking lot make it clear this is not an area for pedestrians. Seemed a great fit for families, with the water park, but as someone in town for a conference, it didn't offer anything to make me a repeat customer.
The staff was great - from the valet, to front desk, to concierge and housekeeping. Lounge and restaurant (buffet breakfast was GREAT) drinks, food and service were top notch. We found everything clean, well-stocked, and in good condition. Very comfortable beds, linens, and nice towels. Room was very quiet, even though it was close to the elevators. Free valet parking for our Hybrid car, too! The A/C didn't quite do the job - it never did get down to the thermostat temp of 72 - although it indicated it was. We then set it to 65, but it never got any cooler. Had we stayed another night, we would have asked that it be addressed. In room coffemakers - inconveniently placed on a bottom shelf of the TV cabinet. On/off switch was broken. Two creamers that barely turned the coffee a different color - surely could be better on that front.
My boyfriend and I decided the morning of our stay to head to Orlando to attend SeaWorld and discovered the Fairfield Inn on Kayak. This hotel is located directly off of International drive less than 1/2 mile from the park. We came in late at night and grabbed drinks at the TGI Fridays just beside the hotel, nice easy walking! What made this hotel perfect for us was proximity and ease given our travels. We were able to purchase our tickets at the front desk, and had the shuttle access to and from the park. Staff was friendly to us and hotel was extremely clean and well kept. Shares a property and pool with other Marriott brand- Spring Hill, which looked equally as nice. Probably can't go wrong with either location. My only two comments on feedback for any one staying at this hotel: the hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the park. But make sure you are EARLY. We had a shuttle at 8:30AM, walking to the stop we watched the shuttle leave at 8:27AM. We ended up walked to the park which was about .5 mile (so not to bad)... But be at the shuttle stop before the scheduled time! Second note: staying in this hotel grants you fast passes which is awesome, and the reason we chose this spot, when I inquired about the passes while purchasing the tickets at the front desk I was told they were added to my ticket. Once I got to the park that was not the case. We traveled on a weekday therefore lines were relatively short so we didn't see any reason on looking into it, but make sure if you are attending SeaWorld you double check on the fast pass access. I was told at the park it is a separate card from ticket. Don't be like me and ask! Otherwise we had a wonderful time, I now have an annual SeaWorld pass and will certainly use this hotel again!
On line check-in and the localization. The breakfast is very croudy after 8 AM, but there is a clear indication when you arrive. If you arrive late there is only parking in the back.
Very nice place every staff member I spoke with was so very nice at breakfast the family next to us had a sick toddler they got her cold rags for her fever got her disposable thermometers to keep up with baby temperature did everything they could to help this family that was not from USA great place to stay clean food was good staff was great. Shuttle to sea world was easy we will be back here
Loved the fact that the shower was in a seperate room from the toliet. The breakfast was great. The staff was super wonderful - extremely helpful with directions and suggestions.
Very comfortable for the price. Separate shower and toilet rooms made very useful for our large group. Breakfast was delicious, great for recovering from an all day music festival. Would stay again for EDC next year! No available smoking rooms.
Advertised shuttle to Univeral but only ran once per day. Not very flexible for families. Only a few miles away so would expect a better schedule.
Location and staff were great. Hotel is tired and needs some help. No elevators in buildings with exterior corridors (had to carry suite case up 3 flights) and they didn't tell me that. Room didn't have a blow dryer when I got there but they did a good recovery and brought a new one quickly. Sheets looked like they were torn and needed to be replaced and were hard.
Someone was able to obtain my room # and last name. The invidual charged his/her meal to my card . When I confronted a staff about it , she hesitated and expected me to be ok with the charge since the room number and last name was on the receipt . But at the end of it all, doubletree remixed the charge .
Nothing Pictures online show a nice hotel but when we arrived to check in we were given a room in the property next door that looks like a motel. Our "hotel" room door opened up to the parking lot. Also their is a $19 per day resort fee which I was not told about at check in.
We liked the convenient location (20 minutes to Magic Kingdom, 15 minutes to airport). We liked the friendly front desk service and facilities employees as well. Spacious rooms and room service were very appreciative with 2 kids (2 yr old and 2 mo old). Poor bathroom design (that can be fixed rather inexpensively): shower curtain not long enough combined with curved curtain rod above straight shower basin's threshold edge resulted in water all over the floor every time we showered and we couldn't do anything to control it. Extra towels were needed regularly to keep the floor dry. Wet floors in such tight space could have been catastrophic for anyone unaware of the issue. Large door and minimal toilet room space weren't ideal either. Initial body odor smell coming from the vents was a problem for me too. Eventually it went away. Solutions: replace shorter curtains with longer curtains, replace curved curtain rod with straight curtain rod, have door swing out of bathroom instead of into the bathroom, air fresheners installed, extra towels for each room. Other suggestions would be a mini fridge on all rooms. This is important for families with young children who need to keep milk cold instead of filling a tiny ice bucket. Also I think better screening needs to happen for language capabilities for the facilities employees. They were kind but hard to understand and they didn't understand basic English. Larger trash bins in the room instead of small bins split to 2 halves (strange design) for what we assumed to be trash/recycle, but bins were too small to fit 3 empty water bottles on 1 half. Actual cup trays for the Market would be convenient for those buying hot beverages. Hotel was under construction at the time which wasn't ideal but we know the place will look beautiful when complete.
Location Customer service
Staff was very nice. Lots of activities. Bathroom needs update/cleaning
The location was the best part. There was a lot of construction. I didn't think they should charge for parking. The phone in the room didn't work and they only gave us one towel for showers, they charged to use the pool towels if they aren't returned and the floors were filthy in the room. The rooms weren't anything like the pictures. It also looked like anyone with children stayed in the same buildings so the mornings were loud.
The room was ok... I have 2 small children and come to find there was no bath tub. That was disappointing. We had wood flooring which was awesome except the fact that it was dirty. Our feet were so filthy we had to clean them before we left and before bed. The crib we got for my son was dirty, old and the matress was super thin. The shower was not clean... pubic hairs in the corners. It seems like they clean but no deep cleaning at all.. i didnt see any roaches in the room like some have mentioned. I did see a dead one out of our room and it was huge. The only positive was the location and how close it was to seaworld and the property. The rooms were just ok like I said but if you want to be able to walk to seaworld then it can be worth it.
This location was beautiful and had so many things to do right in the hotel. Very clean! Green, they have a recycling program. Services galore and some cool options in the hotel room. I guess they are adding on or doing some type of construction so finding the entrance was a pain in the you know what. When I finally did get there it was so backed up with traffic and confusing. When I finally found a place to park my car and went to check in the process was difficult because there was a mistake in the computer. Every time I asked a question to make sure I understood the instructions I was given the check in girl answered with attitude and annoyance. The entire staff seemed miserable and was not pleasant to interact with. As someone who has been in customer service for 10 years this to me is a reflection on the hotel and how they treat the employees. No free breakfast. The breakfast offered is expensive and not very descriptive on the menu. Because of the lack of description I ended up ordering something containing a food I'm allergic to.
I love the complimentary cookie when you check in. I didn't like the construction going on outside my room, especially for the price. Also I hated to find out that there was no complimentary breakfast.
Super friendly staff! Hair in the bathroom that wasn't mine.
