Pros:
The car was not ready in Melbourne. I called an hour before I arrived to make sure the car was ready, so our friends did not have to wait for us. Once we got to the car lot we wait an hour for the car to be cleaned. We were on VACATION not watching a car get cleaned lesson.5.6 Fair

The drop of was fast.Cons:
Waited additional time for SUV to be cleaned, then more time because the keys were locked in the vehicle after they finished cleaning it. It wasn't that clean and was infested with ants. I had 5 children with me that had ants crawling on then the entire trip. Due to the pickup delay we were running late to our event so I didn't have time for another vehicle of that size to be located to switch although it was offered.8.0 Very good

Since our reservation booked us at a non existent location, the nearby Enterptise took us in quickly and upgraded our rental car.Cons:
Kayak booked us at an Enterprise that had closed/did not exist anymore. It was challenging with our 6 month old, but eventually worked out.4.8 Mediocre

I tried calling multiple locations to exchange my rental for another one because I had a nail in the tire and other problems and no one answered nor anyone called me back, 1 location was the wrong number, please have your locations update their locations and phone numbers. Picking up my rental was not clean and smelled like smoke and dog.8.0 Very good

First off they called me to tell me the location I had booked with was not going to be open and that I needed to come to another location. They said “they would make it worth my time”. They definitely did not. They gave me a Jeep Compass that struggled to climb hills and got horrible gas mileage for an intermediate SUV. The car was halfway washed on the outside and not vacuumed on the inside. The tank was literally left on E with the low gas light on! To top it all off when I booked I had selected to drop the car off at 11 pm when we got back to town cause I had to work the next day and wasn’t going to be able to. They told me if I didn’t get back by 7-8 that I wouldn’t be able to drop it off because they are inside a car dealership (original location I selected was not) and the gate would close. When I asked if I could just drop it off elsewhere they told me sure, but I would be charged more for a one way pick up and drop off. They didn’t even try to work with me. Definitely will not be using hertz again.9.2 Wonderful

No warnings about the frequent unexpected and unannounced tolls we would encounter. No cruise control. Cheaply made car interior, but for the price it was fine.10.0 Wonderful
