Pros: We loved Samie Parker for wonderfully efficient and very tidy establishment. Clean, extremely convenient location even for those who arrive without a vehicle though we arrived in our own. Literally next plot to Ferry terminal. We liked cooperation from the owners as my wife who is a vegetarians needed to use kitchen facilities. Overall five star experience.

Overlooking the North Harbor, this Petersburg hotel located inside the Tongass National Rainforest offers a free airport and ferry shuttle. Guest rooms include a microwave and compact fridge. Free Wi-Fi, a cable TV and en suite bathroom are provided in each room at the Tides Inn. Select rooms offer a kitchenette. A free continental breakfast is served daily and includes hot waffles, muffins, cold cereal, hot cereal, coffee, tea, and juice. Coffee is served 24 hours a day. A 24-hour reception welcomes guest to the Tides Inn. A car hire service is located on site. Petersburg Seaplane Base is 5 minutes’ walk away. Petersburg James A. Johnson Airport is less than 10 minutes’ drive away.

Cons: Majority of Electric plus didn't work. Noisy and pricey, but it was also the only available hotel in a remote area

Pros: Breakfast very poor. Nothing there. The waffle machine did not work . nothing there otherwise. The airport pickup worked well and was very good.
Cons: The room was dark and dingy. Smoking was present everywhere. No ability to get fresh air into the room

Pros: Good location. Car rental onsite.
Cons: Our room hadn’t been cleaned when we checked in. Half eaten candy bar, dirty sheets, used soap. Staff immediately came and cleaned up but it wasn’t a great start to the stay.

Pros: I loved the staff and I enjoyed the location. It was very nice to receive a ride to the airport as well.
Cons: The room had a window overlooking the entry way to other rooms. The hall way was also loud when others were coming in late.
