All staff was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.
The location in Old Town can't be beat. The staff was very helpful in suggesting & reserving dinner. Handled room issue with free upgrade when I didn't accept lesser room. First impressions: a disaster! Tried to give us a double bed for our king reservation. Two of the three elevators were down. Took an hour for bags to make up to room. No towels in room when we arrived. The white wine had been used & filled with water!
Beautiful hotel, friendly and super accommodating staff. Wish we had more time to use the pool and to relax at the lounge area by the pool. It is close o all. We will go back again. Parking is pricy. We got complimentary water the first day and then no more afterwards. Water is $8 a bottle in the room! Lobby could use some updating.
The location was fantastic. The pool area and terrace. The architecture and history of the building. Staff was wonderful. Crowded, expensive, no wifi, average room.
Wonderful location, elegant hotel with great view and nice bar. No concierge available much of the time. Elevator not always operating.
The hotel staff is very professional and helpful, and location is close to most travel attractions. It's a landmark hotel with signifiant history. None
Staying in a historic building in a great city. Didn't touch the car for 4 days. Great dining both in and around the hotel at a number of spots. Unbelievable views. Only that I didn't plan on a longer stay.
Location, architecture, overall experience, elegance, staff readiness to please, convenience Phones in the room didn't work, dental kit took too long to get delivered,
Beautiful interior and exterior, pool and related facilities were generously appointed. Small room (even the "deluxe" room). Comfortable bed, but not THAT comfortable; my bed at home is much more so. There is a charge for every single thing... $16 a day for internet access is a joke, $36 a day for valet parking, $18 for a small pour cocktail at the bar. If I had it to do again, I'd stay somewhere else and visit the Chateau. Unless you are loaded and the money means nothing to you, I'd suggest the same.
The renovated room and view We were first provided a non renovated room that was not clean, requires a lot of maintenance. Our AC didn't work, ceiling and the mirror lights didn't work. On the 2nd day we informed the desk while heading out in the morning. The issues were not rectified upon our return. We called again prior to leaving for dinner. Upon our return, we noticed the lights were fixed but the AC didn't work all night. Neither was any follow through from the hotel regarding the issues. No follow up call to the room to check on us. Not a luxury service. On the 3rd morning I called and asked for the manager and the AFOM said she would upgrade to renovated room and waive the $40 upcharge as if it was a favor. We had not slept the night before and gladly accepted the offer.
The hotel is in the best location for someone wanting to see different parts of Quebec City. The staff is very well trained and seems to try to exceed expectations. This is a gorgeous historic hotel that has been extensively renovated. The pool and spa, all the restaurants, etc. are at or above the standards of what you will find in more modern luxury hotels. Based on my experience, I would recommend staying in one of the traditional decor rooms (preferably beginning 62##). Initially, we were offered an upgrade to one of the remodeled rooms, but we thought the window was very small and the room felt rather claustrophobic. So, we asked to be put back in the traditional decor, unrenovated rooms and found it to be much larger and comfortable with a double window and a great view. Of course, these two rooms (out of the 600 in the hotel) likely were not representative of all the remodeled/traditional room layouts. Just my experience.
Well kept facility and competent staff. Great location. Would come again. But . . . you run a luxury hotel. And then you do a Motel 6 maneuver and charge people for WiFi in their room. I would expect this from an American airline company (the worst customer service businesses on the planet), but not from a top-end hotel chain.
The best part about the Hotel Clarendon is the location and it has impressive history. Rooms are fairly clean. Rooms are very cramped, beds not that comfortable and there is no private parking. The reception/concierge could use some brushing up on customer service as well.
Excellent professional staff very pleasant and friendly. Clean room. Excellent location around great restaurants coffee shops shopping and petite Champlain which was magical
The location was great , and the staff were very helpful.
Room was great for sleeping! Bathroom amenities were lovely! Bi-lingual staff. Wi-if. Accessible to all important sites. Old world charm.i I could only open my closet door a few inches since it was blocked by a bed.
right in the heart of everything staff was excellent
The hotel is close to downtown and easy to access restaurants and shops. The staff is friendly and helpful. . .
Location central to sites in old town
The location is fantastic and staff was great. Room was very clean. Did not include breakfast or parking ($25 per night). Only some outlets worked.
For an extra $20, they had no problem in moving me to a room with a desk and terrific views. I had a ton of work to do and the room was quiet and comfortable and allowed me to get it done ahead of an important meeting. The bed was super comfortable. Just wish I'd had more time to sleep!
Very nice room with courteous staff. Pleasantly surprised by the place. The bar dud not open until late and the restaurant didn't serve dinner but with all of the bars and restaurants in Old Town, this didn't seem to pose a problem.
A very beautiful quaint hotel , it's clean and the staff are wonderful and it is in a great location walk out and you are in old Quebec perfect located
location very cramped room
easy access to amenities, spa... food was excellent
The hotel is in an excellent location, within the old town, close to all the sites. Rather expensive; old fashioned.
The hotel was warm and inviting and the staff was friendly, attentive and accomodating. It was located on a charming side street in Quebec City and was close to shopping, tourist sites, and restaurants. It snowed while we were there in November and the sophisticated Christmas decorations made it a magical place to be for the holiday season. My family thought, though while very clean, that the rooms looked dated. I thought they seemed charmingly European.
The convenience to everything. The hotel was very clean/ I think it is over priced a bit. The taxes are high
Very Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful interiors, very clean hotel, complimentary Internet and lovely herbal toiletries. Huge flight of stairs from Cote de Palais, Taxis cannot access the St Jean (level floor) entrance because street is closed. Main Lobby desperately needs a lift to reception. Lifts within hotel very slow/unreliable and corridors long. Bistro Saint James was disappointing- waited 40 minutes for very mediocre breakfast. Use Paillard across the street instead.
The Horel staff are very proffessional, they all have a big smile in their face. As soon as you get in the Hotel, they are taking care of you till you leave. L'emplacement de l'Hotel est excellent, en plein centre ville du vieux Québec, en plus c'était le 400ième aniversaire, on a adoré. The bed was kind of narrow, they should have Queen bed in all single rooms. Also, I was on the 6th and last floor and there isn't any safety bars outside the windows, children can easely open the window and fall 30 feet down.
The staff is most helpful. The main dining room is good and good value for money. The staircase from the main entrance is long and would be difficult for those who have mobility problems or those with heavy luggage which they wish to carry.
Right where we wanted to be
Proximity to all the attractions of Old Quebec make this an excellent and tasteful choice for the discerning traveller. Staff are warm and well presented. The hotel is very clean, and rooms comfortable. Meticulous! Well done, Manoir Victoria! Paying $23 per day for parking, though I understand it, remains disappointing.
Main area where all the activities occur. Parked the car and did not need to touch it for the duration of my stay.
The location is outstanding, right in the heart of the old city, close to everything. Breakfast wasn't included, but it wasn't a huge deal - there are tons of cafes and bakeries in the neighborhood.
Lots of natural light. Spacious. Good view from windows. Late night lounge music from restaraunt below. Mattresses should be checked for wear and replaced.
Location Noise level, room layout, booked 2 identical rooms, when we arrived one was considerably larger, bigger bed etc. it wa not clear that parking was extra.
The rooms were spacious and clean. Comfortable beds too! The shower head didn't move so our bathroom would get soaked every morning because it was a glass shower and there was nothing stopping the water from exiting the area.
Suite decor and location. Jackhammer construction noise from 8-5:30 everyday.
The design of the room was lovely, good decor, accessibility to restaurants in the hotel. In the lower part of Old Quebec City, so we could wander through both the lower part (which has tons of shops) and take a 10 minute walk to get up into the shopping district of the Old city. The hotel room was very dark, we almost needed a flaslight to see into the fridge. We didn't see any cleaning staff for our entire 3 day stay. To do the dishes it would have been nice to have a dish drying rack, and there were some supplies in the kitchen missing that we had to call for, but service was prompt. We didn't get any advice from the staff about what to do during our stay, so we had to ask staff of restaurants we went to etc.
Convenient to downtown sites. Clean, friendly staff, nice restuarant. We would stay again if in the area.
The bed was a mattress on a piece of plywood... Very stiff
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They tried their best to meet our needs.
Location in lower town and near the dock. Exercise equipment in isrepair.
Good location. They were not very helpful wit directing to parking other than valet parking even though there is a lot right across the street.
The hotel was very central easy walking to shops and transport, very spacious, friendly helpful staff. No
It was within walking distance of the upper and lower cities. The bed was comfortable. The kids loved the free wifi. The hotel is at the corner of St. Pierre & Dalhousie - very noisy corner. We had a room on the back of the first floor - overlooking the PetroCanada station. It was very noisy with traffic and gas station noise. The second night, we were moved to the front (picturesque side) at our request, only to be disturbed by very loud music from the restaurant and bar immediately below. This was NOT a "Suite de Luxe Plus." It was not worth nearly $250.00/night. If you must stay here instead of somewhere in the upper town, then be sure to request a room on one of the upper floors. The first floor is awful.
wonderful staff, clean, well maintained facility, excellent location within old quebec, comfortable lower level lobby with bar service, amazing movie theatre for watching world cup soccer, honestly nothing comes to mind. Panache can be viewed as expensive, with a limited menu, but the atmosphere and friendly waiters suit the hotel nicely. Guests have many other choices close by.
We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in great part due to the amazing team at the Auberge Sainte-Antoine. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The hotel is well located in the lower city with easy access to the river front and the funicular to upper town. Madame Quay arranged multiple events for our group with great success. The entire staff were always courteous and knowledgable. Make sure to take advantage of the Penache Restaurant on the property for breakfast and dinner. I will be back!!
the hotel was very modern yet homey at the same time.very clean and staff was pleasant. no complaints
The heated bathroom floor was fabulous and the rooms were great! It was a very special hotel and museum all in one. Panache restaurant was the best for breakfast and dinner! Superb!! Nothing to dislike!!
The cozy atmosphere but with design elements including objects excavated at the site in the old lower city. The staff is very responsive and found me pure green tea (true green tea lovers don't like flavored green teas, but few hotels know this). Nice restaurants nearby and also in the hotel. The lower town is less touristy than the upper town.
It was a gorgeous hotel, very well located, excellent cozy bar with beautiful fireplaces. Romantic. What I was very disappointed with was that the description of my booking provided by booking.com was not accurate:1. Booking.com said the luxury room which I spent extra for was 400 sq foot - room was barely 300 sq ft with a terrace outside. What the heck do I do with a terrace at -15 degree weather?? 2. The description said large bathroom with separate bathtub - not the case. It was a small bathroom and shower/bathtub were one. I noticed through the floorplan that the rooms on both sides of ours did have bigger bathrooms !! What's the point of providing that description to us if you do not deliver! 3. Booking.com said there was just provincial/federal taxes applied. A third tax was also applied to our bill. Very disappointing.
We loved the location of the hotel in the historical part of the city. We were very happy the concierge was able to get us a table for dinner at the Panche Restaurant, they always seem to be fully booked.
I liked being in old Quebec and the historical sights I left letter of complaint about our room
We loved everything about the place - the discreet friendly efficiency of the staff, the great location, the stylish room...
Central Location Excellent breakfast and dining Consierge was not available at all times/
Good sized rooms and very well appointed. Staff are helpful and location is great with lots of restaurants nearby. Strictly speaking not a problem of the hotel itself, but on-street parking is very difficult to find. Make sure you book a spot in the hotel car park ($20/day), or be prepared to walk!
The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are attractive, clean and comfortable. Appreciated the availability of free coffee at all times. We would certainly return and recommend the hotel to our friends. No where to hang bath towels to dry - would have liked to re-use towels. Poor organization at breakfast no fruit/cereal bowls, shortage of cutlery. Constantly running out of coffee. Cold croissants for two breakfasts - unpleasant. Warm for the third day and edible. We were always in for breakfast by 8.30 a.m.
Bikes! No car needed. Walking distance to everything including Ferry and train station The staff, especially Antoine the bellman and Maxime the concierge That we only spent 3 nights.
location and design breakfast is not included the price and the breakfast is not worth paying at all.
Although in my opinion the very high ratings of this hotel are overrated, I liked the location, accessibility, view, cleanness, friendly and understanding manager, modern bathroom design. Hotel stuff mixed up the reservation (wrong room type was provided). There was no kitchenette and, thus, no fridge, plates or cutlery. Some standard bath items were missing.
We were on the 6th floor and had a great view of the port and the streets down below. Love the knew decor of your new restaurant"Matto", unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to dine there, maybe next visit. The breakfast wasn't that great, but it was included.
Good location in a great city
The hotel staff was excellent and made you feel very welcome! Very attentive to any requests! We loved the 24 hr coffee bar! The breakfast area did not have enough tables and often we had to wait for a table before we could sit down and eat.
Great staff and location to localsites in the Old Town. Complimentary internet in the room and cappuccino all day gratis.Very good continental breakfast included in the room.
Very interesting design of the building and the rooms. Environment friendly. Very calm. Having to get out of bed to switch on/off the light
We picked this hotel base on it's high reviews and we were really satisfy. The hotel is just in the heart of everything. Just like couple blocks from the lower town, old port and only a short climb to the upper town. The staff were all very friendly, we will definitely go back again.
The lobby and guest room were modern and beautiful. The staff was especially welcoming and warm. The lobby was decorated with contemporary comfortable sofas, open spaces with burning candles, wine bar, Nespresso coffee machines, wood and stone walls. The well-designed shower, bath and guest room were spacious and tastefully decorated. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I enjoyed. Additionally, our room had huge windows with a beautiful view. Adjoining the hotel was a restaurant with great food including breakfast (which was included with our room) and a full bar. This was a very enjoyable stay. Our room-included breakfast was not available until 8:00. Due to the late time breakfast was served, we could not avail ourselves of the amenity that was included with our room. There were a number of electronic devices in our room, which was nice, but it made operating the TV much more complicated.
Location of the hotel, as most attractions, sites where within walking distance. The actual hotel atmosphere romantic historic.
We enjoyed this hotel,as it is very central to everything. The room we had was very nice, including all comforts that go with it. We definetly would go back in a flash NOT REALLY
Location, very comfortable room No
The location Very comfortable bed
The hotel was located in the center of the old city of Quebec. All activities were within walking distance.
Good place to tour Quebec, visit to the Citadel, River Cruise Great walking in old town ,loved the Buskers very enteraining Breafast arrangments , we were given breafast tokens to use at hotel around corner at sister hotel, service was shocking first day ok second day waited 50 minutes for breafast then left without receiving breafast complained to hotel arcadia lots of sympathy however no consolation prize and no rebate off the bill we ate at our own choice of venue for the rest of stay.
Central location to explore Old Quebec. Rustic decor in keeping with the historical location. Car became inaccessible due to valet parking off-site, although totally understandable in view of location of hotel in the heart of the old city.
Hotel Acadia is well situated near all restaurants and activities in old Quebec City. It is very quaint and reasonably priced. We were able to drive to this hotel and leave our car with the attendant for a small fee. We especially enjoyed the French cuisine in nearby restaurants.
Location great! Room cozy and romantic - loved the stain glass. Helpful staff. Great time :)
good location within easy walking distance of all the city attractions A very small room for the money. Our companions were in a room below grade with a window that could not be opened; they felt it was quite stuffy and claustrophobic.
location, breakfast, free internet
The hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly. The location is great, we were going on a cruise and the location was perfect. We would definitely stay at Le Pierre again.
The location and the ambiance. Graet breakfast daily.
Location was good and had good restaurants close by particularly the Cafe Monde. Staff were very helpful but not over fussy. Close to interesting sights.
Very friendly staff, helpful in finding interesting places to see while in Quebec
Nice location, quiet, staff friendly and helpful Breakfasts too small, often not warm.
The location of Le St-Pierre is in the middle of the old city of Quebec, with many restaurants nearby. The room was large and airy. While not a problem for me, this hotel is not suitable for people with mobilty problems as there are a lot of stairs, including the entrance to the hotel
old quebec tour
Very well positioned.Delightful ambience. Close location with Hotel 71 and those facilities which complemented the St Pierre. The bath plug did not seal so the bath could not be used. Despite being reported this was not corrected which was most unfortunate since the whirlpool bath was a feature of the room.
The hotel was in a perfect place to walk to see old Quebec. The breakfast was excellent! We were within two blocks of the cruise terminal (where we were headed next) and the staff was willing to help us to walk our luggage there. The staff was also extremely helpful in helping us chose a restaurant for dinners and to help with reservations. The bed was very soft.
Lived everything about this hotel: proximity to restaurants, shopping, art, and more and the staff was not only incredibly nice but really helped us enjoy our stay more with day trip suggestions. Tania is the best front desk staffer we met!
It was a really beautiful place to stay and the hotel staff were extremely helpful. To top off our stay it was snowing in Quebec which made it an even more beautiful.
Its proximity to the old city - location There were no directions on where to park a car
All staff were wonderful and kind to deal with Did not like that we were charged for maid service automatically without knowing it. Also, we paid extra for breakfast, but was not told that its continental during the week. On weekends there is much more to choose from.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the style was very unique. The location is great as it is within walking distance of the major attractions
excellent location - central to Old Quebec City Hotel has no parking- but they direct you to underground pubic parking which is very close to the Hotel
everything was perfect, the staff was lovely and very helpful, the room was big and very comfortable, the location was great nothing, everything was perfect
location is excellent and staff is very helpful the room was a bit too small but what was really small was the bathroom sink, I could barely shave above it, so, although good in general, the room was clearly overpriced.
The room was huge and very confortable.the breakfast was very good
El hotel está muy bien situado, en el centro mismo. En un calle tranquila y sin tráfico. La habitación es agradable.
the room and breakfast selections A guest does not knnow you cannot get your car to the hotel door by the write-up A waitress spilled beer we had ordered on the sidewalk cafe and she never replaced the spilled beer or reduced the cost
Room was well designed. Bed was really comfortable. Beautifil view of Chateau Frontenac from our bedroom. Easy accessiblity to rest of city. Easy parking. Services were excellent. We stayed on the 7th floor, and it was still a bit loud (external noise from people on the street late at night, and also some internal noise from other guests in the hallway). Wi-fi was very spotty in our room.
Fantastic location in Lower/Old Quebec/Place Royale Good buffet breakfast
The location was great. The bathroom was interesting but not very practicle. The lighting above the sink and above the mirror in the shower/toilet area was very harsh and made it difficult to put on makeup as it cast shadows over my face. There was very little room to put our toiletries; The sink slanted downward so everything slid off and both "vanity" shelves were too small to hold more than a couple of items.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the loccation was excellent - close to everything in the lower old city. The room was modern and comfortable and parking was only a couple of blocks away.
The location and staff cannot be beat. If we stayed there another time we would probably opt for an upgrade to an outside room. The daily breakfast was outstanding as was the restaurant staff. Attached to the hotel is the restaurant "Toast" which has to be one of the very best in the city.
It was just absolutely a perfect place to stay when visiting Quebec city. It's very well situated on the edge of old Quebec, everything on walking distance, just great and good service. I very much enjoyed this inner-city hotel.
Location was a key factor in selecting the hotel. Staff were friendly.
close proximity to old Quebec and downtown activities, including farmers' market and Images show No
The ambiance, location, style, decor ... all wonderful. Staff were friendly and fully bilingual. All of the drains - sink, shower and clawfoot tub - were blocked and drained very slowly. Had to turn water off while brushing teeth as even a glassful would back up into the basin... had to take shorter showers , and turn water off temporarily to scrub and shave, in order to avoid overflowing the stall. But we must take some responsibility as we did not ask staff to address it during our stay.
I was very impressed by the helpfulness and friendly nature of the staff, who provided assistance with good nature, good humour and tolerance of one trying to come to terms with the language of the province of Quebec. The fact that the washbasin was in the main body of the room meant that one had to be more careful with the drawing of curtains!
i like the blend of old historic building and the modern interior design. All the staff are efficient, accommodating, smiling and friendly. no complains at all.
Concierge, Room, Antique Bathtub, Unlimited daily parking for 15$ n/a
The breakfast is at a restaurant downstairs - very good! Loved the shower, best shower heads (Directly above and on the Side) Parking was extra
The hotel staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The location was situated near all the major attractions Old Quebec City had to offer. The included breakfast was great, good selections and quality. The staff were happy to help direct us to the attractions and city transportation. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again next year.
walking distance to the cruise terminal. Farmers market right across the street. Walking distance to restaurants.
The location was amazing, we were right in front of Shateau Frontnac, the room was nice, and the staff was very helpful!
Location, location, location. Right next to the Chateau Frontenac in the heart of Old Quebec. Price was very reasonable and bed comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Stairs to check in and reach our room. Our room was out of the way so noise was not an issue. Stairs getting to the lobby needed attention when we arrived and it was the same when we left. Busy season and probably didn't get a chance to get to it.
Great location, excellent adjacent restaurant, helpful staff. Only drawbacks, two flight walk-up. Our room bright and cheerful, recently remodeled bath, however bed was quite soft and sagging and in need of replacement. Overall a great place to stay. We didn't mind the stair climb, if you're going to tour Quebec City, you will be climbing a lot of stairs. Only issues as previously stated was the bed.
The location. It was right in the heart of the action and beautiful views of the Chateau Frontenac and St Lawrence river. The room was loud, I was in room 15 and their was some sort of construction early in the morning, starting around 6am. Walls were thin and because it was an old hotel, everytime someone ran up the stairs, it felt like they were opening door.
Friendly staff, excellent location. Best breakfast in town
Location was fantastic. There is no parking but there is a parking garage nearby at city hall. The room was very small but it was enough for one person. The room needed a vacuum but it wasn't anything terrible. The walls are real thin and you're able to hear anything that is happening outside.
