Bodo pickup is the problem here. I chose a particular pickup spot because it was within walking distance of the train station to which I was arriving. I even confirmed the pickup location with the Bodo Sixt team the day before, wherein I was assured the car would be ready at the original pickup location. After arriving to Bodo, I was then told I would have to come to the airport to pickup the vehicle. So I had to pay kr 180,00 for a ride to the Bodo airport. I’d like to be reimbursed for the expense and credited back some of the cost of the rental, as the whole thing was very stressful.Reviewed Nov 29 2023

I use sixt any time i rent a car abroad. They are upfront with their prices and i never catch any hidden fees. When renting in Romania, if you're from the US or Canada, make sure to get an international driver permit from AAA, as it is REQUIRED. This isn't a sixt rule, but a country rule. There was a number on the door when we arrived that we could call and they let us know they were picking our car up. Paperwork was straightforward. We got a lower tier of insurance, I always recommend insurance when renting a car. Raul was available to message throughout our rental if we ever had any questions.Reviewed Nov 28 2023

Terrible. They didn’t have a car on the category I booked, and technically gave me an “upgrade” to a Van which did not meet my needs. So I had to pay another $60 for an actual upgrade so I could get another car, which on the receipt ended up being $120 dollars. I will never use Sixt again and would never recommend them to someone else.Reviewed Nov 26 2023
