Pick up was excellent. Our flight had been delayed but all went well. The staff in Madrid was friendly and helpful. The drop off was a little rough as they seem to have been understaffed, we had to wait quite a while to drop off the car. Fortunately we weren't running for our flight, but we observed other customers who were very nervous about catching their flights. They need to separate the pick-up and drop-off counters as many other rental companies do. The staff was friendly even under pressure.Reviewed Sep 25 2021

Sales used tactics to make changes to contract and increased the rate and when I said I want my original contract as is. They said they could not reverse the charges Also Claiming they didn't have the car we booked Cars were poorly maintained with previous accidents. Cons:We were unable to travel to Spain due to the COVID issue, and tried repeatedly to contact Sixt to cancel our reservation and obtain a refund. But their customer service was not helpful, only offering a voucher good for 1 year for a future car rental in one of the European countries they operate in. If we are ever able to arrange a Europe vacation again, it is unlikely we would have an itinerary where we would be able to use that voucher. The other car rental agency we used for Ireland (same vacation trip which had to be canceled due to COVID) offered a full refund. Don't rent a car from Sixt.Reviewed Jun 9 2020

Pros:Staff Friendly. Drop off was tough. The address for the drop off brought us to an obscure neighborhood near the airport. The Madrid terminals 1 and 4 were hard to find.Cons:I'm not sure we got the final bill yet. We were supposed to get an email.Reviewed Oct 6 2019

Pros:NothingCons:Due to error on entering the date of arrival in Madrid ( put in the flight date forgetting it was an overnight flight), they canceled my reservation. They said they did not have the van I ordered. I asked about a smaller car and they refused. Thy offered was a bigger car at TWICE $. Went to Avis.Reviewed Sep 19 2019
