Extremely disappointed with the service. The car I got was WAY SMALLER than what me and my family needed, which almost forced us to completely change our plans as our luggage didn't fit in it. We had to figure things out on the go. The company didn't move a finger to help us finding another car, not even paying the difference. I likely won't use the service again.Reviewed Dec 21 2021

Pros:Yes, but the process is unnecessarily deceptive. The pricing seems favorable but than they hit you with exhorbidant insurance costs that exceed the actual rental cost. These costs are hidden until your at the counter. Lots of other add-on costs. VERY unpleasant process. I expected more from HERTZ.Cons:Address my comments above!!!!Reviewed Mar 20 2020

Pros:Excellent service from staff.Cons:While in Europe, the gps provided with the car didn't use the quickest routes to different destinations. I tried numerous ways to use it but the directions were always the long route. I ended up using an offline map application on my phone for the correct and quickest route. This is disappointing since I paid a total of $110 for the gps that was inaccurate.Reviewed Dec 1 2019

Cons:Hertz overcharged me 100 euros for fuel. I returned the rental full of fuel as I told them I would when I rented the car, but they still charged me for a full tank of diesel.Reviewed Jul 2 2019

Electronic invoice after rental added 5% w/ unauthorized currency exchPros:friendly staff, quick pick up and drop offCons:Final invoice was incorrect. My contract was for 331.75 Euros, not $392.23 USD. After dropping the car, they sent an electronic invoice showing that they applied a conversion rate that hiked the cost of the rental by roughly 5%. They were not authorized to convert to USD. I was not given any invoice in dollars until the electronic invoice appeared after leaving Hertz. I did not agree to any conversion rate.Reviewed Dec 16 2018
