Pros:Maybe the best car rental experience of my life - so convenient, fast, high quality, affordable ... really impressed!!

Cons:The transition from terminal to the car rental building and THEN we get the shuttle to Sixt. Why not just get us from the terminal? The car was filthy. We waited 20 minutes to try and get someone to clean it. Then we took another 20 to get an accurate damage listing. There were 8 places of damages not listed on the receipt. Then waiting to get another receipt. So over 45 minutes to leave after waiting in line for 20. A week later and I still don't have the receipt I was supposed to be emailed. When we checked in, no one was there to even check us in, I had to go find them, more waiting... With other options available, never again...
Pros:Staff was friendly but the car was dirty and it smelled really strong to marijuana. They Offered us a discount but when we dropped off the car the staff was not aware of anything.

We rented a small SUV from Sixt. I walked around the car at the beginning of the rental, and didn't see any damage. During our trip we barely used it, parked it at a private home, and in a big uncrowded lot at a conference, and returned it at 4:45am - no attendant was there. I then get an email from Sixt saying that we damaged the car!!! We had no accident, no curb hit, nothing that would even slightly damage the car. I can't believe a car rental agency this big would try something like that. Total B.S. - Avoid Sixt. They are good in Europe (we've rented from them a number of times there, but the U.S. is different).

Cons:We booked a car at the Airport in San Francisco and paid right then because it was cheaper. We never got a confirmation email which we thought was weird, but hoped for the best. Go figure, we get an email 2 days before our trip saying our car could be picked up downtown! They completely scammed us and of course the customer service was horrible when we called and no one took responsibility for their mistake. We had to cancel and book with another company at the airport and were charged a 3 day fee by Sixt. We WILL NEVER use Sixt again. Very shady!
