Pros: The owner was very nice. The home is very comfortable. The location is great.
Cons: The furnishings need updating. The bedding needs updating with better quality pillows, down comforters, white duvets. Its a little old fashioned. Would like to see an updated kitchen and it would be helpful if the service understood the history of the home and surrounding areas. Would also be nice to have less sugary options for breakfast.
When visiting Lenox, Birchwood Inn is a great choice to consider. Guests can keep active with onsite mountain biking, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and full breakfast daily. A terrace and a garden are offered, and rooms get the details right with fireplaces and premium bedding.
Pros: Everything was taken care of, and there was lots of generosity in what they offered. Scotch and cordials, fruit and iced tea. The swimming pool was warm and fantastic, and, the gardens immaculately kept.
Adjacent to a golf course, Devonfield Inn B&B is a great choice for a stay in Lee. Guests can visit the outdoor tennis court for a workout or splash around at the outdoor pool or seasonal outdoor pool. A terrace and a garden are offered, and rooms at this upscale bed & breakfast get the details right with jetted tubs and premium bedding.
Pros: I loved that this was a restored schoolhouse and the rooms were big and gorgeous! 4 poster bed, fireplace made it very comfy and a delivered breakfast basket was a nice touch.
Pros: It's colonial charm and memorable atmosphere...
Pros: It was very neat, and was not like a typical inn.. Was elegant in its own way.. Breakfast came in a basket, staff was very cooperative.. Loved the place
Breakfast is delivered to your room in a lovely basket rather than a central gathering place. It was very nice.
Pros: Great price for a nice room. No need to pay--- a night like local B&B's
This is an old schoolhouse converted to a B&B in the center of Lee, across the street from our favorite restaurant, Chez Nous. A great option in the heart of the Berkshires, 10 minutes from Lenox. We will definitely be back.
Pros: The rooms are lovely. Spacious and charming, and we appreciated the breakfast delivered to our door.
Cons: There is no public space as with most B&Bs, and the upholstered furniture is a bit tired.
I was booked into the accessible room and it was just as cozy as the others that I happened to see into. I don't have mobility issues but from work and family I know what the ADA standards are and what actually works well/needs to happen. Are and this room was actually very well put together form that stand point. Lots of room for maneuvering a scooter or chair comfortably Though the building does have lots of stairs, the shared kitchenette, brochures and local event notice board is on the same level as the room. That combined with the breakfast being brought directly to your room makes it seem great. I should note that the check in desk is on a different floor but the front entrance for it has a ramp. The staff were also super helpful and nice to chat with.
Pros: The location was perfect. Close to the Mass Pike but in Lee proper, a few blocks from the main strip of shops and restaurants. They offer a small breakfast in your room during your stay.
Cons: I didn't see any real common space and there isn't good parking signage. But they also don't really seem to care how/where you park so that's fine.
Very clean and comfortable room in a small inn - which was a converted parochial school. Our room was oddly shaped - but it worked as long as we didn't want to watch television. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and the delivery was made on time and with a flair. Unfortunately, WIFI did not reach the lower level and in order to connect to the internet on our iPad, we needed to go upstairs. Not ideal - but for our short stay, it was not a major deal. Would we go back there? Definitely - but would request a room above ground level.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was oddly arranged, and WIFI didn't reach the lower level where our room was.
This was a very clean and pleasant place. Beautiful, historical building. I am looking forward to coming back again.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we decided to stay an extra night, they didn't have room but contacted other b and b's in area.
Enjoy your visit to Lee with a stay at Chambery Inn. You can indulge in deep-tissue massages, body wraps, or aromatherapy. Other highlights include a spa tub and a terrace, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and DVD players.
Pros: The innkeepers provided a small bottle of wine as a welcoming gift, there is an electric fireplace for ambience and you can eat the provided breakfast in your room. There are games and movies available and the innkeeper was very informative. Also they provide robes, have a fridge, toaster oven and microwave in the room. Ice is in the freezer. The woman who is part of the cleaning staff (Kim I believe) was very nice when we were leaving. Unfortunately my elderly mom was ill at 2:00pm the night before from eating fried food and I cleaned up as best I could. Kim was very sweet and expressed her concern and said not to worry about anything. Can't say enough about the owners and staff. They are there to meet your needs and ensure that you enjoy your stay.
Cons: Only suggestions would be to have a wall mirror in the living area so when one guest was in the bathroom the other could get ready outside. Little plates would have been nice for our bagels, quiche and other baked goods. Not major inconveniences by any means.
Pros: From the moment we arrived at the Shaker Mill Inn we instantly felt at home. We walked into our room and the lights were on, music was playing, the electric fire place was on, and there was wine, compliments of the owners. The room was extremely clean and well-kept and full of little personal touches. We stayed for two nights and went skiing at Catamount during the day. It was just a half hour drive from Catamount and worked out for us very well.
Cons: Our room wasn't completely modern and updated, but what it lacked in updates, it made up for in cleanliness.
Enjoy your visit to West Stockbridge with a stay at Shaker Mill Inn. Guests can indulge in deep-tissue massages, aromatherapy, or Ayurvedic treatments. Rooms feature bonuses like sofa beds, refrigerators, and microwaves.
Pros: The uniqueness of staying in an Inn. It was clean and cozy. The staff was great and the breakfast was wonderful!

The Kemble Inn is in a great spot for easy walking throughout Lenox, has beautiful public spaces, elegant and delicious food and a warm and friendly staff. It is undergoing renovation and the rooms that are completed promise a top quality hotel experience when the renovation is finished.
Pros: The public spaces and the fabulous cocktails/good food
Cons: It is not yet fully refurbished so my bathroom was dated
Kemble Inn is a great choice for a stay in Lenox. After relaxing in the spa tub, guests can grab a bite to eat at Table Six, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rooms at this boutique inn offer fireplaces and free WiFi.
Pros: The staff was amazing! The hotel was clean and decor spot on. The cleanliness was seen as soon as we walked through the door and continued throughout the whole hotel. Comfortable bed and a fantastic shower...we will definitely return!
Cons: There wasn't one thing we disliked about this hotel and will be returning soon!
Pros: Breakfast was quite good!
Cons: Not having a restaurant & room service

Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and offered us some good suggestions on places to go. We ended up visiting the different small towns in the area, and in that regard, you couldn't lose. This hotel was close to everything. The room was clean as well. Overall, it was a pretty good hotel.
Cons: The beds were fine, but the pillows were terrible. For some reason they were super inflated and as you slept they would shrink down by a lot. So, they were impossible to sleep two pillows high, and one pillow would end up flat like a pancake. Also, for a king bed, there should be king pillows. One big issue we had, and it could be limited to us, was that there was very little noise buffering, and we could hear everything in the hallway and from the room above us. That was frustrating when we really were looking for a good nights sleep. Also, if you have for t-mobile, prepare for no service at the hotel.
Pros: I liked the location. We liked the room and cleanliness. The front desk offers if you forgot a bathroom item they give you a replacement for free. The room had a fridge TV and DVD player. They have a nice Indian restaurant to eat at.
Cons: Lots of children running around very loud. They didn't have any lady products at the front desk, so we had to drive to the store. The door lock was broken and was difficult to open and close without it beeping loudly. The bathroom in room #117 had tile that was unfinished and jagged. We wanted to upgrade to a room with a fireplace but the fireplaces don't work we were told.
Pros: Location by the lake. On-site Indian restaurant "Mint". Value for the money. Complimentary breakfast. Other hotels in the Berkshires were quite expensive so this was a good find overall but we will not stay here again.
Cons: The carpets were very dirty especially on the staircase. There is no elevator. The a/c in the window made a lot of noise
Pros: Beautiful view of Laurel Lake, updated rooms, friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Mattress needed to be rotated! I felt like I was falling off the edge half the night.
Pros: Overall nice area/ location. Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast area looked unkempt and could use some touch ups/ updating. Phone would ring at randome, but only one ring, went off a few times the middle of the night. Early in the AM, woke up to noises sounding like someone messing with the door/ door handle. ( no knock as if it was housekeeping)

Come stay with us, relax in the quiet, the calm, the babbling brook. We are sure you will be pleased!
Pros: Spectacular location at one of the grandest "cottages" remaining in the Berkshires. A 5 minute drive to downtown Lenox. Delicious brunch. The bathroom in our room was newly renovated and luxurious. Good service.
Cons: The main building of Cranwell is breathtaking, and the prices are what you would expect to stay in such a historic and beautiful place. However, our room was in an adjacent building, circa 1963. It was pretty nice, but definitely more like what I would expect for $300 rather than $500. Perhaps on their website they make it more clear that you aren't staying in the main house, but booking through Kayak I was surprised to get less than I thought I'd paid for.
I found the walls to be pretty thin in the building we stayed in (Founders).

Cons: Dated. Separate rooms (different building) from pool. Not described
Pros: The staff was super friendly. We arrived early with friends and asked about possibly upgrading both rooms to the main building and they gave us a great deal for 2 rooms close together. The breakfasts offered custom omelets plus the usual fixings and more. It was very good! The whole place was clean and friendly and we will certainly return!
Cons: This is not about the hotel per se, but it was a holiday weekends with lots of kids. We did complain about the kids on the 2nd floor running and stomping their feet well into the early hours of the morning. This is something the parents should have controlled. The Yankee Inn apologized and stated they did speak to the kids and parents multiple times, but got no results. To us on the first floor, it sounded like a herd of elephants above us. Either better behaved kids, or better expression to those staying above or put those with kids in the other building and adults only in the main building or more sound deadening material between the floors. This is our only complaint. Otherwise was an excellent stay.
Cons: Significantly overpriced for what it offered!
Pros: I liked the following : received text prior to check in telling me room was ready, staff very friendly and went out of way when they learned we ate at particular restaurant about the special relationship they have with them and suggested we could go back with hotel receipt for discount, rooms clean, comfortable beds with enough pillows, but mostly loved the family vibe you got from staff. You knew they cared.
Cons: Nothing bad to say
Pros: Perfect for a one or two night stay. The room ammenities in the adjacent building to the main Inn are small and older yet the rooms were clean. The hot tub and indoor pool were well kept and appreciated prior to my half marathon race in Tanglewood. The staff was accomodating however they neglected to provide me with a requested wake up call. The complimentary coffee and tea was a nice touch and the gal tending bar could not have been nicer or more insightful.
Pros: Pool and hot tub nice,
Cons: Needed to upgrade room to main bldg, close to pool and breakfast
Cost charged was $50 additional a night. Total aprox 150 /night a bit much, I thought.
Breakfast staff work hard but bread, waffles, packaged oatmeal and cereals are minimum.
News paper for both days was only one left for perhaps 15/20 breakfast patrons.
Pros: We enjoyed the outdoor and indoor pools. We also liked the daily breakfast and thought the offerings were a good variety and generous. The housekeeping staff was efficient and were quick to respond to requests.
Cons: The rooms are a bit small, and the air conditioning unit was difficult to get to due to the location of it in the room.
Pros: I was ticketed to fly from WashDC to Albany, then drive on to Lenox. US Air overbooked & bumped me off the plane. I flew instead to Hartford. My bag, however, went to Albany.
After a long, difficult travel day, I arrived @ the Yankee Inn @11:00pm w/ very sore knees & legs.
Jordan, working overnight on the front desk, was kind enough to move my room from the 2nd to the ground floor. It turned out this was an "upgrade" & would be more expensive. Jordan, a younger & perhaps less-experienced staff member, hadn't made that clear to me. At check-out, the young lady @ the desk was very understanding & told me they'd try to work it out. Next day, she called & told me there would be no further charges & that Jordan would not get in trouble because of me. Incidentally, when my bag arrived @ 1:30 am, Jordan hand-carried it to my room.
I though that was nice.
Cons: The mattress was thin & uncomfortable.
The synthetic pillows looked comfortable but weren't.
The phone was completely broken.
The folks in the room above me made a thumping racket most of the night.
