Pros: Warm welcome. Lovely room with beautiful view across Cornish countryside. Well appointed accommodation. Loved the retro style of bath ware but see below.
Cons: It was difficult getting in and out of the bath to have a shower. Suggest having a grab handle fixed on the wall. The bath and shower fixtures were complicated to use: getting the right temperature was a challenge!

Cons: We have no complaints or dislikes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the start to finish it was a fantastic stay. Unfortunately did not get to meet Katharine as she had work but Ben was an excellent host and very easy to speak with. He greeted us when we arrived and showed us the room, it was spacious, clean and also had homemade biscuits which we scoffed straight away. The bathroom was nice with a shower over the bath and some ambient lighting by the mirror too if you wanted to dim the lights down a little for a relaxing soak. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillow choice. The rooms are refurbished very well and you can see the care that has gone into creating this for their customers. The breakfast in the morning was set up for us ready and we could order hot breakfast as well - i loved the homemade bircher that you could add your own little bits too such as raisins or seeds etc... we will definitely be back next year for longer, see you then! :-) (Ben also helped us pick some places to visit as we didn't have a clue what to do after the main things and did not disappoint!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely immaculate, comfortable bed, excellent facilities, fantastic breakfast and lovely hosts who we had pleasure of speaking to - full of local knowledge and great recommendations for places to eat. This is the favourite b&b we have stayed in!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ben and family were excellent hosts, very welcoming and knowledgable about the local area. The property is extremely dog friendly, we took our French Bulldog who got on very well with Tara the hosts dog. Breakfast was excellent with a large amount of choice and the room was a good size and comfortable. The location was fantastic being central meaning that many sights are only a short drive away. We will definitely be back
Cons: Nothing - everything was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This house of Ben and Katharine is truly enchanting nestled in a sprawling nature. The rooms are super new and modern. The beds very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and you can choose from many different egg dishes and porridges. The warmth of the house and the large garden is simply breathtaking. Many thanks, dear Ben! We are happy to come back !!! Best regards Bianca

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, Lesley was very helpful, location perfect for going out to local attractions. We never needed to sit in car for more than 40 mins to any of the places in Cornwall for a week.
Cons: As we stayed longer, it would be nice to have some way of cooking on site, maybe open fire in the garden - going out for a meal every day is expensive... so we had a couple of cold meal nights.

Cons: Difficult steps for old ladies!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stay at a lot of b&bs, and don't normally leave reviews, but I was so impressed by this one that I think I should do so. Chris obviously takes this business seriously, and approaches it in a very professional manner. He is friendly and helpful, but not in any way over the top, which is getting the balance right. The accommodation is very well designed, so everything is to hand. Great breakfast choices, not the usual choice between cereal or fried stuff. I had blueberry pancakes - loads of berries. Great way to start the day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Spring Cottage.

Its restaurant with sunny terrace overlooks the harbour and serves fresh seafood.Set over 3 separate buildings around the harbour, each room has a contemporary design with luxurious en suite bathroom.Portloe is a beautiful fishing village in a conservation area at the foot of a valley. It forms part of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula and has a picturesque setting
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean and welcoming
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Delightfully quiet location and tastefully converted original buildings. Friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant bedroom with good view of the sea.
Cons: Drinks excessively expensive. Medium glass of wine (175cl) at around £8. Aperol Spritz served with wrong ratio of Aperol to Prosecco and tonic and far too much ice,, and with each ingredient charged separately making a glass around £15! Normal hotel price in London £8.50 to £10.00. Food was well presented and generally good but served in nouvelle cuisine style i.e. miserly portions, A fish starter of shellfish and smoked salmon, for which a £3 supplement was charged, could be consumed in two (small) mouthfuls. Whilst the staff were all generally very friendly and helpful, one of the two waitresses was quite sullen, looking as if she did not want to be there, a point noted by other customers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, stunning scenery, fab food, friendly and helpful staff, attention to detail could not have asked for anything else, a wonderful few days away. You have to drive a few miles down narrow twisty and turning roads to get there but well worth it. Lots to do within a short drive, beautiful walks from the hotel.
Cons: Liked it all.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean and comfortable hotel with very considerate staff. Food was good, particularly the breakfast with great variety.
Cons: Car parking is a problem and on the final morning a van parked across my car preventing leaving ,was not funny. The van belonged to workmen operating on an adjacent property despite two clear notices the car park was for hotel guests only! Some form of barrier /policing needs to be introduced to prevent other than hotel guests entering .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fabulous time. Loved everything about the Lugger and would love to come back soon.

Pros: Very warm welcome and very helpful hosts 're what to do in the area. Welcome drink! Lovely gardens. Excellent breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The B&B is extremely clean with high standards and the friendly owner, Tim, makes you feel at home. The harbor and beach is just a walk away, parking is included and Tim - being a local - obviously has extensive knowledge about St Mawes and the surroundings.
Cons: There really isn’t much to “complain about” at all. For international guests, obviously recognizing this is a B&B and not a hotel. While it’s the perfect base to enjoy the best of Cornwall, it’s not your own garden and you have to walk the extra (quarter of a) mile to enjoy a sea view...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amelia really welcomed us into her home and our room was absolutely lovely. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed staying there. It was just a short walk down into the centre of St Mawes

Pros: Receptionist was pleasant.
Cons: “Private patio with garden view” was in truth a fenced in corner with two dirty plastiv chairs, and dead landscaping. Few amenities in a rustic bedroom in the Slate Cabin, located NEAR the rose cottage. We had to leave at 7:30 am to catch a train and the main house and reception desk were locked and unstaffed. Far from water and 20 minute walk to Portscatho. Generally a not pleasant experience.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was high quality and Wendy even made pancakes on request for the children. Staff were happy to help with any requests and needs and were always smiling and friendly. Location was good, quiet at night and easy access to main roads to get to and from visitor attractions. Fresh milk in the communal fridge in the lounge for drinks was a nice touch. Lounge area was large with games for children and books / TV with plenty of seats to relax on. A warm and welcoming environment.
Cons: Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fantastic
9.5 Excellent
Pros: HUGE room for the price, one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Breakfast was fairly standard fare, good but not exceptional. Lovely Grey Parrot in the main hallway. Huge lounge room with a fridge to get fresh milk for tea in your room. Not too much around but a 2-minute drive down to a pretty quiet beach. If you're there on a cloudless night, you'll be gawking at the stars, so dark and quiet.
Cons: Took a bit longer to get back onto the highways of than expected, but it wasn't that bad. Not much around in the immediate area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was pristine clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food was delicious of good quality and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. I would love to stay again.
Cons: Everything was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We received a very warm welcome from Wendy. Our room was big and airy with great toiletries and tea making facilities. The breakfasts were incredible. We unfortunately broke down on site but you both helped us out even though we temporarily blocked your drive until John used his superhero strength to move it !!!!

7.5 Good
Pros: The bed and the location
Cons: The noise . Also I had mentioned by email to the hotel that it was my mother’s birthday week and felt it would have been a very special gesture just to acknowledge it somehow when we arrived - a small cake or glass or something fizzy .....

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location slightly out of the town centre but with amazing views. The Beach Club is a great addition and perfect for catching rays and relaxing. We had great interactions with all the staff and liked the personal touch of the rooms and all the spaces. Definitely feels like you are staying at a friends posh home. Food was also delicious and non-hotel guests often come for lunch/dinner. Make sure you walk up to the local gardens if they are open (2 days a week)
Cons: we didn't realise breakfast wasn't included in our room (£25/head) but that may have been as we were in an apartment.
