Pros: Staff was very professional and catered to every need
Cons: View is slightly obstructed below the 17th floor but still has amazing sunsets, everything else was perfect
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The pool is really nice! The rooms were luxurious and the staff were very helpful.
Cons: It's close to the beach, but not on it. The TV's need an upgrade. It would have been nice if the pool was open later. We watched people swim from our balcony at another hotel while ours was closed.

Pros: Everything: - Good Service - Good Room - Good Location - Recycling Trash (rare to find in US) Amazing time, recommend to everyone.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and growns are amazing
Cons: The dolidpin and turtle tanks, way to small for them to live
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Private beach means it is never overcrowded. Friendly, professional staff. Dolphin Lagoon a must experience for kids. Big, comfortable room with comfortable bed, nice bath amenities. All toilets have a bidet, which is a nice surprise. Beautiful grounds and atmosphere.
Cons: Above average humidity for this time of year. We were told it was due to the El Nino from winter. Small pool (and number of chaise lounges) that can get crowded quickly. Food from the Seaside Grill and Plumeria is overpriced and okay, at best. Drinks overpriced, but tastes great.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Kahala is located close enough to the city action yet far enough away where it's remote. Though the pool area was relatively small, it was never crowed. The dolphin lagoon and sea turtle exhibit was quite amazing. Beach was also gorgeous and calm. No complaints about the Kahala. Would definitely visit again.
Cons: Wish there was good snorkeling right around there but that's asking for too much!!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The food is excellent. While parts of the facility are outdated, it is well maintained and the attentive staff makes up for the slightly dated appearance. The beach is awesome.
Cons: The pool should be larger. The poolside menu could use some more pizazz and creativity.

7.4 Good
Pros: The entertainment was great, especially the lu'au Kawa'a.
Cons: But if a drive to anywhere else on Oahu.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Too expensive
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Besides paying $500 + a night for your room- plan on paying extra for EVERYTHING!! Parking is $39 a day. The snorkeling in Rainbow Reef that they advertise on their commercials is an additional $25 for an adult. Children over the age of 9 are considered adults at the resort. I felt after paying the room rate, these things should be included.
6.8 Good
Pros: I liked the pools for kids.
Cons: Dark and gloomy inside. Nothing special, just over-priced. Don't expect much Disney-related stuff. Just saw Goofy once. Oh and the clock in the room was a Mickey Mouse clock. My family had a better time on Waikiki Beach staying at Hyatt Regency Beachwalk with a oceanview room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Played all day in the salt water pool.
Cons: Food portions are small but that is to be expected.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Customer service was excellent, there was always someone to help with everything, grounds are kept very clean, Beautiful location, aunties beach house is great for kids, water slides were fun, infinity pool had a gorgeous view, dole whips tasted very good, character breakfast full of great songs and entertainment.
Cons: Wanted more shows that were enjoyable for adults and kids. All shows and games were for kids only. Also the room temperature was very cold always. Rooms could have been bigger and more impressive for the cost. All inclusive would have made this worth the high cost. More chairs needed by pool and beach area, not enough lounge chairs for all guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the perfect destination with Disney perfection for all aspects. Everything is exactly how you would want it.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: I was so impressed as we drove up. The property is beautiful and feels very Hawaiian. Not obviously Disney, but it's there if you are looking for it. I was on my own and stayed just one night as an alternative to Waikiki. I was curious about the property. It was very expensive for just me, but I was given an upgrade to an ocean view room when I checked in. I was very pleased with that! Didn't have much time to get the whole experience, just a swim at the beach and watched a beautiful sunset, but if I was with kids and/or grandkids, I think this would be a very special place to stay.
Cons: couldn't find anything I didn't like.
Prince Waikiki - Honolulu - Building

9.0 Excellent (2,430 reviews)

Located in Honolulu (Waikiki), Prince Waikiki is a 3-minute walk from Ala Wai Yacht Harbor and 7 minutes by foot from Ala Moana Beach Park. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything in Waikiki but not in the midst of the resorts
Cons: Dirty stain/spot on floor in bathroom next to tub was there every day even after cleaning. All else was nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: front desk staff, courteous professional bar staff, main lobby friendly helpful
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Out of waikiki, room views
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone on the staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are immaculate and the view is amazing With the Renovation Discount it was about Half price maybe even less than half and absolutely an great value
Cons: Nothing
5.1 Okay
Pros: The spa is awesome.
Cons: We spent 2 nights here, it doesn't worth the money. The hotel in Wakiki is generally expensive, but if you want a 4 star experience, choose hotels like Sheraton or Westin. Need to pay extra for wifi, parking, even water after first night. The room is quite small for a 4 star standard.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It is a fantastic facility. I enjoyed my stay
Cons: Nothing I didn't like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Whenever we asked for service, (maintenance, engineer, housekeeping), they came within 5 minutes.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was under renovation but the staff was so amazing. It totally made our stay. Will surely stay in the future.
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is nice. The views are pretty. The staff were courteous and helpful. It's clean. The location downtown is close to most everything.
Cons: It's not on the beach, which isn't a deal breaker, but I wasn't feeling the "Hawaiian vibe". It just wasn't there. Everything closes super early, even the hotel bar and it's all sub par, nothing too fabulous. I guess the word I could use that would fit this hotel is generic. It's not holiday inn generic, but it's definitely not worth the price, the parking fees, or the resort fee. I didn't feel like I really fit in too well either. If you're a tourist to Hawaii and you'll barely spend time at the hotel, this is the one if you're willing to pay the price. I also didn't feel like I fit in here. If you're coming from Japan though, you'll fit right in.

8.5 Excellent
Cons: They could not/would not give us a lock off unit when our plans changed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The convenience of having a good amount of things on-site was pleasant, even if my wallet disagrees. The staff was pleasant, and the amenities/property were clean & well maintained. There are a good number of activities onsite, so you are never bored.
Cons: I did not like the high prices of the restaurants around the property. Also, the distance to the town for alternative restaurants/grocery stores wasa minimum if 3 miles, which required either a car or a shuttle, both of which required additional spending. For the large amount of money the resort charges for almost everything, the least they could do is provide a shuttle to the town of Kapolei. The high price if convenience left my wallet feeling fleeced.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location is great for me when I work in Campbell.
Cons: It's a mediocre extended stay hotel in a beautiful location where everything is crazy overpriced me done halfway to normal standards... to be fair, 95%of the hotels on Oahu are this way m, I've stayed at 30+ hotels.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities for families with children. Beautiful private beach and enclosed lagoon. Restaurants are close by.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Accommodations were great. Location is picturesque. If you plan to go, try to be there for the FIA FIA Luau on Tuesday evenings. Really amazing dinner show.
Cons: No children’s club unlike other locations—though many activities planned each day.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: n/a
Cons: We did not get the ocean view room we paid for.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice lagoon beach
Cons: Most pools shaded
7.4 Good
Pros: Location, cabana service, gym. One server at chuck's and Oscar at longboards
Cons: Very difficult to get housekeeping, poor communication with resort operator and pressure to be out exactly at the checkout time.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Beauty of the place
Cons: Pricy without any deals
8.5 Excellent
Pros: We originally looked at staying at the Disney hotel but we're able to get a much better deal using Marriott points here. We were glad we did as we actually preferred the setting of this hotel. It is on its own lagoon just like Disney and had multiple pools for the kids that seemed just as fun. We liked how the grounds felt much more open to the beach vs. Disney where you could barely tell you were on the beach from the pools and restaurants. We were able to watch whales breaching right from the pool bar while the kids swam. You are an easy stroll along a paved boardwalk from Disney so can still visit the hotel and restaurants there. The daily list of activities with something almost every hour is a lot of fun. There are free DVD rentals in multiple places around the grounds. Our unit had 2 separate bedrooms as well as living room and kitchen. Lots of space for large or extended family.
Cons: View from our room wasn't great. Could see a Marina somewhat, but mostly looked over parking garage. Hotel is maintained well, but definitely starting to get dated in the rooms. This isn't a huge deal as all the common areas are updated and we didn't spend much time in the room but this is one area where I think Disney would have an edge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities. Nice rooms and views. Quiet and relaxing area of the island.
Cons: Just a nitpick, but the tv was a little dim. Made it hard too see movies (since they had on site DVD rental)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of our favorite Marriott properties. We have been coming here for four years and it is always like coming home! The staff is perfect in every way and they continually seek to make our stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. The lagoons, pools, activities and services are the best. Our two favorite things...everything is always nice and pristine and no surprises! That's three! I could go on and on.
Cons: We have to go home!

8.8 Excellent (4,594 reviews)
Overview Reviews
On Waikiki Beach, this traditional hotel decorated with Polynesian artworks is a 2-minute walk to Fort DeRussy Beach Park and a mile from the Hawaii Convention Center.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Key location to other touristy areas
Cons: Way too much emphasis on Timeshare resort purchase!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay overall.
7.7 Good
Cons: Being charged resort fees at the hotel when I was told in my reservation / confirmation email there were none.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and the comfortable. We ate at the Kani Ka Pila Grill 2 evenings and for 1 breakfast. Everything we ate was very good and the service was good. The Mai Tais were awesome. Be sure to go for Happy Hour, great food and drink prices with live entertainment. There is more live entertainment in the evenings. We heard 3 different groups and all were excellent.
Cons: We were disappointed in the Shore Bird Restaurant. The mai tais were so good at the grill that we ordered them here and were very disappointed. We regretted ordering the buffet. It was okay but not for what we paid (even considering island prices. Can only hope ordering off the menu would be better. It is very difficult to walk in the water in front of the hotel, water shoes are highly recommended. we later learned that just down the beach it was a sandy bottom. Wish someone had shared that with us,
2.8 Mediocre
Cons: We paid for a ocean front view sweet and got stuck with a hotel view of the other side of the hotel. The room was made for handicapped people and there was nothing sweet about it. I paid an extra 200 dollars for an oceanfront view and I feel like a got screwed. Also they charged me 38 bucks for parking and 31 dollars on a resort fee, and the hotel that was suppose to be on Wikiki was actually on a different beach. This was our last night on our honeymoon and the hotel sent me an email at midnight to with them about the room and I didnt see the email till the next day when we had no time to talk due to the flight we needed to catch. Also the shower head was busted and it took over 20 minutes to get our rental car from the valet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located right on the beach with plenty of activities avail. Much more secluded and private compared to downtown. I think this location is more upscale compared to the other Outrigger Beach. We did have a great view of the pool and could leave the door open for the lani then listen to the nightly entertainment. Everything to eat and shop is in walking distance. They were very welcoming upon arrival with a cool towel and a mango drink. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. This is for sure my go-to place in Waikiki.
Cons: The only think I could say.... Would be the servers poolside. I gave him my money and it took about 15/20 mins before he came back with my drink.... I ended up going to the bar myself the rest of my stay and the bartenders were excellent, friendly, quick, and much better.
7.1 Good
Pros: Valet service, Maint, check-in was great.
Cons: Didnt like the room too much...had cityview...but not city just a wall ..also was on 3rd floor.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The beach and the warm ocean breezes The service was excellent.
Cons: Traffic and congestion in Honolulu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: THE BEACH ACCESS, FAMILY FRIENDLY, AND LOCATION. THIS WAS ONE OF THE VACATIONS OUR FAMILY HAS HAD.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Pool. Water front. Restaurant.
Cons: To many workers trying to get you to sign up for timeshare. No family in bathroom.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice views and great location in Waikiki.
Cons: Not much going on at night or at the pool. Not even music at the pool.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, restaurants, room, pool, hot tubs
Cons: Price

7.1 Good
Pros: The room was very nice after we requested to move from one which was near the elevator on the 3rd floor with absolutely NO view to one on a higher level with a better view and larger room. The bathroom, although small for a suite, was above average and stocked with ample amount of towels. I enjoyed the large screen smart tv in room.
Cons: The check in was awkward and the staff did not greet right away. Also the housekeeping staff is not as friendly as other hotels I have stayed at. Lastly when the bellman brought down our belongings we noticed they were unattended near the check in desk where anybody could’ve easily taken something.
6.0 Good
Cons: The vent had an issue, it made a clicking noises all night. Thermostat also doesn't work well. Overall, I didn't have a restful stay this time due to the noisy vent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the location and rooms are clean and staff was great! Totally recommend to all travellers heading to Waikiki.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location makes this a great place to stay if you plan on visiting all the wonders located everywhere on the Oahu. Free parking and free made-to-order hot breakfast, and free happy hour evening drinks at the bar was an added bonus. Lots of shopping and great places to eat only minutes away. Room was clean and includes mini fridge and microwave. Staff was super friendly and courteous, and even gave us beach towels to use for the day (everyday). We enjoyed our stay very much.
Cons: Location is away from typical “tourist” areas of the island. So if you’re looking for busy crowds and nightlife within walking distance, this isn’t the place for you. You’ll definitely need a rental car if staying here. Room has AC, which was nice to see, however it struggled to keep up on one of Hawaii’s “hot” days.

Pros: We booked a couple massage and was the best we ever had
Cons: We have no complaints except we didn’t want to leave
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Ocean views, the pool bar where you can also watch surfers, and Kuilima Cove (decent snorkeling in a protected cove, umbrella and lounge chairs at the beach for hotel guests on a first come basis)
Cons: Pool was crowded, there was a bit of a wait for check-in
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel, staff, amenities are just added extras, the view and beach are what people think of when wanting to visit Hawaii. Wish we could have stayed longer!
4.2 Okay
Pros: The staff was very nice and friendly
Cons: They charged you for EVERYTHING. Beach chairs cost $25 to sit on, self parking cost money, they charged you if you took your pool towel up to your room. It was absurd how overpriced everything was. The bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable
5.7 Okay
Cons: The room was very dirty.
6.5 Good
Pros: resort was beatiful, nice spot on the point of beach.
Cons: a/c was broke in the room. was able to sleep with sliding door open to be somewhat comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: EVERYTHING!!! This was our first but definitely our last trip to Turtle Bay. Many thanks to Dennis, Monica and Neric for taking such good care of us. I believe Ian is the food and beverage director. He went out of his way to get my family a table for the 4th of July dinner. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Turtle Bay for a wonderful vacation!
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is amazing. The proximity to the ocean is incredible. The pool is great. The beaches are good. The activities are really fun.
Cons: The food is poor and expensive. We are at all dining options except the top end restaurant, Pa’alaki, and they were all lousy. The hotel feels old and needs a little TLC. Our room was a bit sad, old paint, old bed, old side chair.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent the first 5 days of our HI vacation at Turtle Bay, and it was amazing. Tons to do, amazing views, friendly staff, and good service overall. It definitely made our first trip to HI memorable!
Cons: Nothing that we can think of!
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and the food at all the restaurants was excellent, sometimes bordering on amazing. The staff was friendly and always helpful. And the location is terrifically beautiful.
Cons: There were lots of little problems with our room that pointed to a lack of preventative maintenance, -'d the seemed to be having trouble with the fire alarm system. We had 2 false alarms during our 5 night stay. All in all, nothing terrible. Just small annoyances. But the manager did right by us and we are happy with the outcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accessibility of everything. The good and drinks were great. The fitness center was located in a nice spot. All the staff were friendly.
Cons: Lack of things to do on a rainy day.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Overall atmosphere was lacking. Staff was not friendly. Seemsed to be undestaffed

Pros: Smack dab on the beach in the best part if Waikiki. Staff was super friendly. Pillows were the best.
Cons: Pool area too small.. Difficult to get a chair. Piol, hot tub closed too early. Bar so crowded difficult to get a place to sit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent accommodation, great staff particularly a guy called Alex at Reception. Nothing was too much bother. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: There was, in our opinion, nothing to dislike.
7.7 Good
Pros: Location is excellent. Restaurants are great with excellent staff.
Cons: Late checkout is $25 per hour. Maybe this is a new standard but it's not guest-friendly. When flights leave late in the afternoon, an 11:00 am checkout with no convenient option for staying an extra hour is very inconvenient.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing!!! Everyone was willing to go the extra mile to help out. The location is amazing and in the heart of Waikiki!
Cons: Wifi Connectivity is limited to 3 devices and customer support cannot change this. The lack of a full bath tub was disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness,amenities,value
Cons: No dislikes
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Nice that there is an available laundry available. Decent size rooms. Friendly staff.
Cons: Not crazy about Duke's. Mediocre food and service. Pool area is on the small side.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located hotel with a very popular restaurant/bar located on the ground level.
Cons: This is a very busy hotel that lacks a "real" lobby. Some people might not even notice this, but it may the stay feel odd, sort of unofficial since the only time we interacted with any staff was when we checked in.

Pros: Beautiful room! I recieved an upgrade to the penthouse and the views were amazing! Also the bartender is really great!
Cons: The power went out during our first night there. We actually got stuck on the elevator. A day later a fire alarm went off.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome
Cons: Charged for breakfast that I didn't attend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything. No real complaints.
Cons: Didn't realize the price of the breakfast buffet was a bit high, in my opinion. It was an ok buffet. That's about it really.

Pros: Love every second of my stay. The staff was very accommodating. Whether you're a visitor from another state or country, they treated every guest equally. And we were visiting from another island. My favorite was the huge Aquarium and the swimming Mermaid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I LOVE the new renovations they are doing here. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back for sure. Comfortable beds, great showers, beautiful views. Friendly staff ! It was wonderful.
Cons: The 35$ breakfast cost. It was a surprise to me to pay that much for breakfast.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: When you go to Wikipedia and look up Waikiki, there is a picture of THIS hotel! If you book an Ocean-front room on a higher floor in the Eastern-most tower, you'll have the classic view most can only dream of from your balcony or even inside the room. Besides the obvious beach across the street, within a few blocks walk, you'll find dozens of restaurants and high-end shops, as well as the Honolulu bus transit line. Timely response to the only need we presented was commendable. Wifi worked well, also.
Cons: Room service neglected to replace the coffee pod on one of the days the room was cleaned. We didn't notice until the following morning when it was time to make coffee. When visiting the fitness room, one of the two elliptical trainers had a broken display. This made it impossible to use in any mode other than manual.
7.7 Good
Pros: Location! Great view and clean
Cons: Outdated decor is easily overlooked for a clean low priced room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, people and hotal interior is awesome ~
8.5 Excellent
Pros: After a chaotic wedding week this place was just what I needed. The bed was fantastic. I hadn’t slept that well in months!
Cons: Long check I lines after 2 pm
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is newly renovated and less than a 5 min walk to the beach Love the pool And lot of all love their customer service. Renee went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care off Great breakfast The aquarium was really fun for our kids along with the pool.
Cons: Our refrigerator broke on day one but they were good about replacing it The parking is expensive $30 a day as is the breakfast buffet $35 per person Wish the kids pool was heated The Morimoto restaurant customer service was disappointing as they kept saying the chef was there so we made multiple reservations and yet every time we went they came up with some excuse as to why we could not meet him. A great way to make money
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The updated room was very nice. We stayed on the 37th floor and we had a fabulous view of Diamond Head and the beach. The beach is literally right in front of the hotel. The location is great. It is within walking distance of everything you need. This hotel is a great value for the price. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: The lobby needs to be updated. It was clean but the decor looked like it was from the 80's. They need to update it like the rooms. The elevators were a bit of a hassle. There were 4 of them and one was not working. The ones that were working seemed to have a mind of their own at times.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Especially the Beach/Waterfront! It was walking distance from the hotel and EVEYTHING else...Love it. I booked this trip as a father's day present for my husband and to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary...loved everything!
Cons: No much....
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Toilets are little old and there is no AC
6.0 Good
Pros: I liked the location. It's right next to the mcdonalds if you're hungry for a cheap meal, especially if you don't want to spend $35 for the breakfast buffet that they offer at the hotel. But if you get a free deal for the breakfast buffet if you book through Expedia or a third party website , it's definitely worth it. There's a parking garage connected to the hotel but it'll cost you $25/night. It's also super close to the Hyatt and international market. And the beach is 1 min walk. You just have to cross a stoplight. Diamond Head and the zoo are close too. I would uber to diamond Head if it's later in the day cuz parking can go fast. But the zoo is walkable.
Cons: There's a hidden resort fee that you pay $20 a night for. But my question was, where's the resort? The clerk was like, "this is the resort." But he wasn't clear that the "resort fee" included beach towels and beach chairs. There's a LOT of construction going on. It doesn't bother me so much, but it might bother you. There's no pool, but the hotel does have access to the Hilton's pool next door. But I was just swimming at the beach the whole time. All the "resort" amenities are basically under construction/refurbishment- like the aquarium with restaurant and tennis courts. So the only thing was I was paying a resort fee when the stuff for the resort aren't even available. I feel like they should have just waived the resort fee.
4.2 Okay
Cons: I booked this room for my elderly parents for their first vacation in Hawaii. Paid for a partial ocean view room, and got only a slice of ocean. They were given the worst room possible in that category. AC unit outside room was extremely loud which made their sleep miserable. I feel sorry for them and regret booking this hotel. But the damage was done.

4.2 Okay
Pros: The beach the ambiance
Cons: Everything else
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful and the Mai Tai bar was a great place to sit and watch the sun go down. Rooms were very comfortable
Cons: This place is expensive, it really helps to be in the mindset that you aren't bargain hunting when you stay here. If you are here in peak season and want to take advantage of beach chair or umbrella rentals you may want to book them before you are onsite.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Though we were in the heart of Waikiki, it did not feel like we were anywhere near the hustle and bustle that is the Waikiki of today. It truly felt like a getaway. Service was stellar, the staff was friendly and attentive, the setting and atmosphere can't be beat. You've spoiled us; we can never stay in another Waikiki hotel. TRH is the one for us.
Cons: Minor gripes about cleanliness. Found a charm and a bobby pin left by previous room occupants, and toilet had a few hairs and spots also from previous occupants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elegant surroundings, friendly staff, excellent location. We are glad we booked with the breakfast plan because the buffet with “Royal” options was awesome.
Cons: I’m a Starwood member and was told at checkin that I’d receive a 10% discount on restaurants, spa etc at the Royal as well as the affiliate hotels. The gentleman said it would be deducted from the final bill; however, at checkout no discounts were applied. I questioned this and was told I needed to present my card at the time of each service and the deduction was not automatic. The bad info I received at checkin cost me at least $60.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is tops, literally the best part of Waikiki Beach fronts the hotel. Amazing history, second only to the Moana Surfrider. Very romantic, but not much stuff to do for kids.
Cons: AC in historic wing could be better. Pool is very small. Not sure why families bring kids here, they'd be much happier at one of the bigger resorts (including the Sheraton right next door).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My girlfriend and I agree that The Royal Hawaiian is our go-to hotel for our stay-cations. We LOVE it there. It's hard to even consider other local hotels. The staff, the facilities, the service, and the way that the hotel feels secluded even though we're in the middle of Waikiki... there's so much to love about this place. This is our second year in a row staying here, and we'll definitely be back. Mahalo to everyone there for continuing to impress us.
Cons: This space intentionally left blank. :-)
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Location and service
Cons: So many kids and not enough chairs and umbrellas by pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Have dreamed of staying at the Royal Hawaiian for many years. The vacation more-than lived up to expectations. The adjacent mall and food court provided entertainment, shopping and reasonable meal choices.
Cons: Mid-week was peaceful and serene. By the weekend the place was filling up with lots of tourists. Can't believe how many people were in Waikiki in general.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Really good rooms and service.
Cons: The gym was not good!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Historic, iconic hotel, still the best
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself is quite beautiful. Though there is a very small pool, the pool deck is very comfortable and private. There is a fabulous view of Diamond Head on the beach. It's also not a mega hotel, so the number of people wasn't too overwhelming. The delicious muffins were a very nice touch, as well as the staff attention on the pool deck. Great location.
Cons: Our room seemed small. There were too many reasons we had to call for help, including repairs to the room and keys not working. All resolved, but annoying. I don't think a hotel of this caliber should be having these kind of problems. The price tag is very steep and I wasn't convinced it was worth it.
6.0 Good
Pros: on the beach
Cons: They charge for a beach chair 45.00 daily. very crowded at pool and pool is very small.

Cons: The elevator was too old and slow, there was too much waiting to do.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Loves having a kitchenette ... very well stocked ..be sure to select the upgraded /newly remodeled rooms

2.8 Mediocre
Cons: We checked in and went to our room. It was hot and the air conditioning was almost useless. The window coverings were missing slats and the hot sun poured in. The building is ancient and the bathroom was disgusting. We were with another couple, whose room was even worse. We checked out an hour later, managing through local friends to find other accommodations. Yeah it's cheap (by Honolulu standards) but not somewhere you would want to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed 5 days at this hotel. The location is the best you can get in Waikiki. It's central to some of the best shopping I've ever seen in the world.
Cons: Still new from a remodel. So some things need tweaking.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Location was great
Cons: The air condition didn't work at first. Weird smell in the room. Some lamps didn't work. Ancient TV. The discount code for the internet didn't work. We had to look for parking by ourselves. The beds were tiny!
5.7 Okay
Pros: Recently renovated rooms
Cons: Launder detergent used on sheets was very strong smelling. The fragrance caused asthma issues for my husband. It was not a good night for either of us.
5.7 Okay
Cons: Mean front desk manager.
