Extremely friendly and helful staff,no problems at all and the whole night went very smoothly
The location was ideal for our needs, being 5 mins from our destination. We were very pleased wiith the staff and our room, and realise that being in the centre of a large town makes parking difficult, but the reason for booking the room was because we required an overnight stay and felt that £15 was excessive (we in fact parked next door but have never before had to pay extra for parking) and £16 each was over the top for breakfast (usually inclluded where we've stayed, or at most £10). We are pensioners and were attending a funeral and much as we would have liked to have parked with you and had breakfast before departing, we really couldn't afford it.
Thought the rooms were good value - like the touches with the slippers and dressing gowns. Fortuntely for me the weighing scales did not work !!....Food was good too.
the room and bathroom was spacious and well decorated. the bed was comfortable and the curtains kept all the light out. the room was clean on first sight but after we found stains of old blood on the sheets and the kettle was dirty inside
Room better than anticipated, service very good even though it was New Years Eve and they were very busy. Only a shower in the en-suite facilities, but no real hardship for just an overnight stay.
Fantastic price for a such lovely facility. Delicious breakfast and extremely helpful staff. Nothing to note
Modern, comfortable room
Appeared to be very welcomng of pets - which I did not try on this buisness trip but would definately be of interest for any subsequent leisure visit Food and drink a little expensive, especially the extra for Full English Breakfast, although the continental was quite acceptable
The food and service throughout the hotel were excellent. The room was very comfortable. Could not find any.
The bed was lovely and comfortable and all the hotel staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Particularly those on the front desk. We struggled to find the hotel but when we called we were given good, clear directions. No
Excellent reception and over-the-phone directions. we wouldn't have made it without. (ok we didn't print out the directions in our leaving home and the Wokong site isn't the easiest of locations to find. The dm on the evening of Friday 19th was excellent. Pity I didn't get the name.) Also relaxing atmosphere and environment - were contemplating, but decided not to go into town for a meal as the facilities were better aat the hotel. A notice in the bathroom pointed to the us eof towels and consider the environment etc. This we always do, but found that notwithstanding the fact that we'd put towels aside, not for collection, that they had been replaced with new ones on each of the 3 days that we wer there. a tad extravagent perhaps.
Very pleasant staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast was great and staff very efficient. Family room could have been a bit bigger. Restaurant staff in the evening were slow and did not seem to cope well with being busy.
gret staff, pleasant location, great pub and restaurant associated with it. breakfast ends too early, they should extend it to 10:00.
It was in easy access to my brothers house, who is coming up to 83 years and as i stayed a couple of years ago in the hotel, although it had changed hands i thought i would try it once more with the new oners in charge. The staff i found very helpful, and the food in the barn which we have eaten many times during my visits. I found the bathroom in my room number 34,had a smell of urine although it appeared clean.Wouldnt it be an idea to give pensoners a lower rate regarding overnight or weekend accomodation?.
Excellence of the receptionist who checked us in and assisted us
Staff very helpful, particularly young female receptionist
Excellent attention to detail, very polite staff - infact one of the best Premier Inns Ive stayed in...the breakfast was sublime and the staff there couldnt do enough. I was wary when I saw the proximity of the pub but there was no noise at all. Cant praise the place enough :) None really - might have had more milk and tea/coffee available in room
Comfortable beds, card key worked in outer door so no worries about getting back late. No soap in bathroom.
Location was near enough to the town centre so easy to commute to place of work. Everything was fine
Located across from Heathrow property with free shuttle (city bus) to the hotel front door. Quiet comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast ($15). Good service. Not very close to local restaurants. 20 minute (easy) walk to closest pub (The White Horse). Cannot exchange currency at hotel. ATM located in convenience store 10 minutes away.
Nice breakfast offered, not included in price of room. No transportation from airport when flight is delayed and gets into the airport after midnight. Only taxis at a cost.
Comfortable bed, quiet, complimentary drink on arrival. No coffee maker.
Slick check in, very clean and comfortable
The concierge staff were very helpful and friendly, but something need to be done for the check in and check out front liners. We checked in on 25 \nov 2010, arriving about 10 pm plus from Paris enroute to scotland, the check I staff was not very friendly. We checkd out early morning on 26 nov 2010, the check out staff was also not friendly. A simple eye contact would have been helpful for the hotel management.
Nothing decor very tired, noisy
First off I couldn't book the room through the hotel. I was forced to book with third party online. My bathroom had flooded when I had taken a shower, due to the shower threshold. I had upgraded my room simply just looking for a king bed. The only room available was a sweet which had cost me 275.00 pounds. They only compensated me 50 pounds for a soak and wet bathroom that I had to mop up with all the towels in the room.
the strict minimum!! 14 GBP for wifi
Close to the international airport with easy access to cheap shuttle bus service. Rooms were clean and heating/cooling easily adjusted. Staff were friendly and good with children. A good menu for kids. Rooms are very small, even for overnight stay. There is no lift so luggage must be carried up two flights of stairs which is back breaking if your traveling overseas with a large load. They claim to be 4 star which is a bit of a joke... More like 2 1/2 to 3 mainly due to the fact it is dated (looking worn), lack of lifts to upper levels and lacking 4 star facilities. WiFi was a bit dear. Most places in this pricerange where we stayed offered free WiFi.
The food was great, and the service terrific too. Doors a bit scratched up.
close to the airport for our departure home the next day cost means to make our own coffee and tea mini refrigerator nice sized bathroom had to walk along way down a hallway to access an elevator to the 2nd floor and then had to walk back down another long hallway there was urine in the toilet in our "clean" hotel room and the TV was all ready on - it left us wondering if our room had really been cleaned no extra pillows or blankets
Close to the airport The rooms was far too hot.
Relatively clean I chose the hotel because of its supposedly superior pool and fitness room, but they closed right after I arrived. Why would an airport hotel close its facilities at night?
Reasonably priced, comfortable, very close to Heathrow No complaints, would stay again.
Close to the airport. Elegant in its own way. The rooms are a bit small.
The convenient possision, the room was very quiet, no airport noice. The bar area not very acceptable for eating a light meal
clean and comfortable
The bed was inviting and clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was lovely! I didn't have a computer with me so was grateful I could come in free of charge to write an email. There was nothing I didn't like.
Checkin was quick. Food at the bar was good (see also what I did not like) I picked the hotel because of the name, I stayed in excellent Jury's Inss before, also because it was (said to be) close to the underground & heathrow, Only at the exit there was no indication where the hotel was located, and the hotel was not visible. So I had to ask around, before finding the hotel. It was a bit farther away than described. At check-in they told me the restaurant would be open until 22h30, and gave me a key-card for my room that did not work. When coming back down to the restaurant I was told it closed early, so I had to go to the (overflowing) bar, and had to wait to get a seat. My room was close the the elevators, and poorly insulated, and I heard the elevators moving up and down, and stopping at my floor all night.
My wife needed to see a GP and they quickly called one out for us. They were very helpful.
Returning to the US from a European trip, we needed to transfer from London Gatwick to London Heathrow late at night, and then depart the next morning from London Heathrow. The Hilton Garden Inn was ideal. It is located close to Terminal 4, and gave us a good place to stay for the night. Staff are very helpful. I can't think of anything
The Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food is great at reasonable prices, everything looks smart and well organised. it is right next to the tube station which was convenient. The rates are low and you get much more than you expected for this sort of price. the breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Basically I would use this hotel again if I am in the area – very pleasant stay.
Location The hotel was very noisy and the housekeeping staff kept slamming doors keeping us up. In addition we asked a server about the menu and she rudely told us to ask someone else and walked off.
Very convenient, great location to airport
Brand new, lovely hotel and a superb Garden Inn. Comfortable and crispy clean. Nice staff at the bar and check in. Easy access from Hatton Cross Tube stop. Read a review that transportation was bad and have to agree. Expensive at GBP 4:50 each. Worse yet was the SURLY, RUDE, UNHELPFUL CRETIN that drove the bus. Awful.
More for convenience,as I have to catch early flight. Proximity to the tube is the other plus points. none
location for airport
Location State of repair/decor. Food---terrible !!! Seemed cheap for a Marriott --now understand why.
Room is Comfortable and modern. Lobby and pub/bar very spacious and comfortable. Endless corridors and small rooms for such a huge hotel.
Executive lounge small room.
Quite up to date Small room
Location Service in the restaurant was very efficient and friendly We were not informed that the hotel is going through a TOTAL renovation. We were initially placed in a recently finished room. After a real ordeal to get there, we found out that our room reeked of chemicals (gave us a headache within 5 minutes and watery eyes), still had some construction debris and the bathroom door handle was not installed. Had to carry all our luggage back and had to be moved to a different room.
Location This hotel is old and not very clean. I am surprised that Marriott has let this hotel go this far in dis-repair. Not worth 200 USD a night.
Comfortable room and fast internet and ease of taking the public bus system 5 minutes to the terminal cannot be beat. Hair in the bathroom and in the tea cup suggested it did not get cleaned well, and about a 45" wait to get checked in made the stay less than ideal. Both are probably one-off issues though based upon reviews available.
Location, lounge 1.the hotel could not find my kayak reservation so I am Not sure that I paid the kayak rate, in fact there is a good chance but I was charged twice and I'll have to find some way to reconcile this. For some reason the kayak reservations were not acceptable for their confirmation numbering system, the staff acted like they never seen a kayak reservation. 2.none of the hotel had internet access whatsoever it was down all night. Only one staff was manning the concierge desk and with the internet down the line was very long, yet it seems like the staff didn't put 2&2 together....perhaps you should increase the number of people at the concierge desk when the internet is down. At times the concierge would just just disappear I think probably hoping people would just disappear as well. Myself and another guest helped ourselves to the concierge desk computer print out our boarding passes for flights. 3. the entire hotel smelled like smoke despite the non smoking room. 4. the television didn't work in the hotel room and looked quite dated even at the kayak rated this hotel is not worth the money
What a great location. As a weary traveler it's nice when everything goes smoothly. Staff was very accommodating .
Staff attention to detail, quality of room and location
Close to airport, clean and upgraded rooms. Dinner was very good and the breakfast buffet was great.
Big lounge, helpful front desk service. Discounted pricing relative to other hotels in the area. Outside decor and current renovations give very poor first impressions. Room was typ Marriott-type accommodations. I'd recommend spending the extra $10+ to stay elsewhere if possible, but would consider again at same price range when renovations are complete.
The staff were polite, helpful, and unobtrusive. Also they were well turned out. The evening meal could have been better, however the full breakfast was excellent
Comfortable, clean hotel. No real complaint about the hotel itself but it could be better signposted from heathrow/M4 and the junction
Extremely polite and service-oriented staff. Convenient location. Good value. Flexibility in accomodating a family of four in one room, a rarity in Europe.
Location of hotel, which allowed quiet ambient atmosphere during the short stay
Convenient for our touring itinery.
It was totally fine for an overnight stay at an airport hotel. The pull out couch was actually more comfortable than the beds themselves. The air-con did not work in our room and they gave us a small fan to rectify the situation. The front desk staff was also very helpful on the phone, but never followed through with the requests we made.
Location adjacent to M4 -good for connection to London but tube connection better than bus routes. High taxi fares in the locality because of this High taxi fares-charged £28 for 7 mile trip.
The staff in reception is really rough, especially some guy from indian or middle east, ask the staff to let me join the novotel club for 3 times, but he did not anything and lie to me.
clean, modern and comfortable
The food at the restaurant was excellent - a fantastic meal.
The staff were very good. Public areas ofthe hotel a bit tatty but the rooms excelent.
Good service and a decent room. Free wifi. Overall, I was there for 2 days before I left England so it served its purpose. Check in was supposed to be at 2 pm. I got there around 3:30 and still had to wait about 15 minutes before getting my key.
It has a calmness seldom found in hotels today
Fabulous Spa - possibly the best I have ever visited.
food excellant bedroom first class comfort, could not fault any of the staff all most helpful.
spa area & availability of treatments hotel staff were in the main unfriendly particularly at the reception desk. I am glad i didnt not pay full price.
Always a pleasure to visit Pennyhill. Beautiful bathroom & bedroom. no sewing kit in room. Overpriced food that was very oily. They did charge for the portion that was returned.
The staff were excellent - we were attending a wedding and that was perfect. No air conditioning - bath plug did not fit plughole, shower very difficult to use room extremely dated - got the impression that we were allocated one of the poorest quality rooms.
We really enjoyed the relaxed feel of the hotel. The service in the restaurant was average as were the accompaniments to the meal.
The traditional room was still of a good size and even though most rooms were booked the spa was not crowded at all...most relaxing and able to truly chill out with partner. The price of treatments and food in the brasserie is quite expensive, be prepared to splash out in this luxury hotel!
Meal in the brasserie was excellent The noise from the room above ours was intollerable. We could here them walking up and down the room and flushing their toilet. We were kept awake until 3am
Frendly staff pleasant environment Being asked to put credit on my bill to cover any extras I mite put on my room ie drinks
Friendly staff Food was poor pub grub, room was small, grubby bathroom, iron did not work,no milk left in room waited an hour for some too turn up.
Food, bathroom, bar service Double room rather small
Good staff, friendly bar area, organised taxis which were on time, impressive setting but close to town Room was in the mews, long drive and poor lighting. No tv remote and the smallest tv ever seen!
Lovely hotel, great room, very friendly staff on reception. Enjoyed my stay there. Will return again. Nothing
The Staff were brilliant, made us feel very welcome. bar closing at 10pm, and not being able to have spirits or pay by cash after then. Our rooms were not cleaned or ready for us, but this was remedied quickly and profesionally
The friendly and attentive staff. 1st rate - all of them. n/a
I found the room fair, the public areas tired and scruffy.
setting/location,ambience. ,house keeping not very good,ie mouldy tea pot, insufficient towels, hairdyer inop.
Walking around the gardens very tranquil It would have been nice to have afternoon tea instead of the machine but it was still good
Friendly staff, basic but comfortable rooms
Free use of Wifi, and the relaxed atmosfere in the lounge bar first night i was sleeping at the front side of the hotel, which is quite noisy, because of the mainstreet, but specially the bar which was right below me. My room was reschedualed for the following days. Perfect
Very helpful and friendly staff Rether dear breakfast in pretty souless interior design, perhaps rates should be B&B?
Nice airy room, clean, ditto the restaurant Not sure I'd call the restaurant a restaurant in terms of menu - was more like bar food, but was good
The room was very quiet and comfortable and the hotel is in an excellent location for the town centre. I also like the bar - very chilled!
Lovely large room at the rear of the hotel, very quiet, we were upgraded on arrival Nothing
The hotel is attractive from the outside and very convenient for Guildford centre The lights didn't work in one room. The bathrooms were tiny. The hot water took a long time to come through in the morning. There was no breakfast on Sunday before 8 am and no room service. There was no room to park in the car park. There was a noisy function taking place. The room was cold in the middle of the nigh.
the noise from the nigh club below, and staff were just as confused as the guests when the fire alarm went of at 2am.
The location We were unable to use the car park as it was closed for a private function.
Fast check in/out. Good standard comfotable room, very clean. Reasonable parking. Location is excellent for shopping. No minibar or water in room
This is boutique quality hotel with new amenities, at an amazingly low price. They do this, by offering small, but very nice, rooms with single beds. Its about a 10-12 min walk from the Hounslow East Metro station (4 stops from Heathrow), which isn't actually that bad. Fare is 1.5£, taxi is 20£ or so. (Turn right when you exit Hounslow East.)
Friendly staff, good rooms, very good breakfast
Good breakfast - lots of choice, Spa facilities good and not busy. Staff were unhelpul upon arrival. Pictures of the hotel were not true to the actual hotel & rooms- disappointing.
Situation, access, calm, comfort. Restaurant (dinner): certainly not the level of a 4 stars hotel.
Leisure facilities Breakfast was a bit chaotic
The room was large and it had all the necessary funiture. The same apply for the bathroom and the room was well cleand and tidy. The hair dryer was not working properly and it was a very cheap selection. The toilet seat didn't have the sterilised seal. Also when I cheked out I was about to be charged for another room due to staff mistake.
The staff were very friendly
Location was ideal for me, pool etc all good , large bar & food area, comfortable
hotle staff and facilities are very good n/a
The layout inside is good and easy to find way around. The fact that the mini-bar seemed to cause all sorts of problems on check-out, just because we had moved cans around to make way for our own water. Seems we weren't the only ones - other people complaining when we checked out that they had been charged for things they hadn't had.
The room was dirty and had not been cleaned in places.
Relaxed surroundings The hotel claims, in the facilities information, to have a business centre that provides the use of a computer and suggests that guests do not bring their laptop but they do not have this facility.
Excellent restaurant. Have used other facilities here in the past but not this trip. Mostly a golf/tennis country club, so busy every day with members It was busy with meetings when we were there and we booked late, so we were in one of the older accommodation units that are getting a bit tired. The newer units are nicer, the old ones need refreshing
Quality and golf facilities Golf course was very busy
Wonderful location. Reasonable range of meals at the Bar XIX and reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and excellent breakfast. The underfloor heating takes hours to react when you turn it up or down. Whole TV service crashed during the evening and didn't get fixed by the next morning.
Very quiet and room was comfortable whilst being very close to the motorway network and Heathrow. The room very very warm despite windows being left open, also along way from breakfast restaurant.
Our room was not told that a dinner jacket was needed for dinner
being woken up by kids playing the pool early. voices echo and straight through into the room
bedroom was awesome / facilities good / staff effecient no
very comfortable room, high standards, great service. Good facilities.
We felt comfortable, valued as guests and the service and facilities were very good. In the main restaurant, on my birthday I was brought a special plate with champagne, which was a lovely touch. The information in our room said the main restaurant was shut on Sundays so we went to a place called the brasserie, whose sign said they were open until 8pm on that night, Unfortunately they said they were closing early at 7pm (it was 6.45) as they were short staffed and the said the main restaurant was in fact open, but fully booked. They did actually serve us in the end as we just wanted a quick light meal, so all was well, if a little annoying and confusing.
Very quiet area - Hotel room very nice in comparison to the normal UK Standard
