Pros: "We were flying international and bags were checked through to our final destination AND AA did not charge us for our checked bags because it was booked as part of an international ticket. (which I didn't learn before flying so it was a pleasant surprise, most airlines want to charge you for the domestic leg of your flight)! They allowed us to board early and were very accommodating for our family of 7. I finally figured out the in air entertainment on our devises, which didn't seem to work on our previous flight. Snacks were minimal."

Not being familiar with the airport, we probably would have missed our flights, had it not been for our "airport guide". If you can get your carry-on luggage checked for free, (only offered when the flights are full) this is an awesome service!"

I sat at a window seat watching baggage handlers look at my bags with the fragile stickers all over both of them, then purposely flip them upside down and slam them on the conveyor to plane. Once I got to midland and opened my bags my boxes of Business supplies were damaged to the point that they have to be thrown away. If I could have insured my bags I would be suing Alaska airlines for the replacement of my damaged items, and the firing of the handlers that did the damage, including the loss of of money that I couldn't make because I couldn't do my job. 2. I informed stewardess that I was recovering from a dislocated shoulder and asked for a pillow or something that I could rest my arm on, that never happened and I had to sit for hours on the fight in discomfort and pain all the way. Thanks for making my flight a comfortable one. 3. I wasn't allowed to purchase anything on any flight with the cash in my pocket, including Wi-Fi / entertainment. Because I didn't have a credit card. This is a foul idea your company has. My cash should have been efficient enough. It is legal tender anywhere in the world but your airplanes. In my opinion I feel that your airlines suck and owes me the amount of 135.00 for the replacement of the items damaged, plus the amount of the tickets I paid for because I didn't receive the services in which should have been courteously given by your company. And apologies for that crappy treatment of me and my property. Just because I'm not one of your gold members or a credit card holder or first classed passenger shouldn't give your employees the right to treat anyone this way. I flew all the way from Alaska to midland to do a job and couldn't do it on time because of this treatment and damage. What would you do if this happened to you? Would you feel satisfied with how your company handles its PAYING CUSTOMERS???"

Gaps for our feet were not set below the chairs evenly. I had the middle seat but my floor space went into what should have been the aisle seat's space. I felt bad for the guy. There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

This does not seem very considerate of our health during a Pandemic especially with their messaging about social distancing. They also did a very poor job of keeping people patient in the deplaning process. Maybe they good offer each passenger a choice some type of goodie like a mint or a chocolate that says "please enjoy this while you wait for others to exit the plane"."

Cons: "I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

Made me wait until entire plane was disembarked and cleaned, and made me wait some more after. She was super snarky, made rude comments, and almost made my family miss our connection to EWN. I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays."

While struck on the second leg and speaking with AA customer service about the reschedule I was told that they didn't have the ability to rectify the error because they no longer had control of my ticket and that I had to take into consideration that three was an event in San Antonio that caused delays network wide that added tio the initial issue... HOGWASH! 1) it was another AA issue where an AA aircraft drive of the runway while I was in flight on the first errant leg. 2) if they had just been straight from the outset, I wouldn't have been delayed. I will never fly AA AGAIN!"

My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

Also, I've never been to an airport where you exit the boarding doors in the terminal then head down stairs to the tarmac to board a bus that make a complete lap of the terminal going near every AA plane obviously trying to figure out which one they need to drop us off at. If can get this close to losing people I now understand how luggage gets lost so often."

Cons: "i had my boarding pass and chose my seat some time ago, in row 4. When I checked in, the AA representative switched my boarding card and I was told that my seat was no longer available. When I got to the gate, I spoke to the gate attendant. There were several people also speaking to them about their seats. I did not have a seat assigned to my boarding pass, so I stood until the entire plane boarded and the gate attendants could sort things out. In the end, I was given a seat at the back of the plane, even though booked my seat some time ago and am a Sapphire member. When I boarded, there was no room for my carry-on luggage. The flight attendant already understood what happened. She immediately took my bag, and found a space at the front of the airplane. This is the second disappointing flight in a row in 2 weeks I have had with AA. I'm not sure if it's just bad luck, or has something to do with the company. I had flown with U.S. Airways for years and never experienced any major issues."

Cons: "Delayed waiting on a crew person to get to the airport to fly to Dallas. We had to wait an hour at the gate. They didn't tell us what the delay was for until we had been waiting 30m."

Pros: "No accountability -- just a recording telling me my flight was being rebooked and I would arrive 14 hours later than scheduled on New Year's Eve. Totally unacceptable, awful service."

Pros: "From start to finish the flight faced problems: unscheduled stop for refueling, change in planes for mechanical problems, emergency medical intervention, and more. Yet at every stage the flight crew and gate staff did an outstanding job communicating and seeking to alleviate passenger woes. With delays, we missed connections, and yet AA worked wonderfully to find alternatives. At the end of the day, we arrived at our destination, and even our luggage made the trip successfully! Wonderful courtesy, adaptability, and determination to serve. Thank you."

Cons: "There was a snow delay in Chicago, but nobody offered assistance when we were on the ground. We felt abandoned by American Airlines because we asked three different people for assistance and they didn't seem to want to take on the problem. They were like Pontius Pilate, and "washed their hands" of us!!!"

Never a problem before with US Air or Southwest Food - There and back, sandwiches and non-snack items were sold out by the time crew could get to the rows in the back Plane on the way back was a certified POS. Seats were ancient and broken, Engine couldn't start - twice, and no entertainment"

Cons: "The 5 plus hour flight but had to endure to get to Phoenix!!"

Pros: "I don't usually complain, and I have never responded to this kind of rating request, but, the American Airlines flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Phoenix was too inept to ignore. Firstly, I wasn't assigned a seat when I booked the flight. Then, at the time I checked in, as no regularly priced seat was reserved for me, I was forced to pay for a premium seat, for both the outbound and inbound segments. Secondly, no snacks were offered on the outbound flight, because "the ground crew forgot to supply the plane". This didn't bother me, but it did infuriate some of the other passengers. Finally, I paid for the GoGo inflight internet, but the download speed was sooooo slow, I finally gave up."

Pros: "Crew was nice and professional. It was an early morning flight and I was given the right surroundings to sleep."
Cons: "There was no entertainment on the flight. I couldn't even find a headphone jack. The seats and aisle are too narrow. After landing early we had to wait 10-15 minutes on the taxing because the gate was occupied"

Cons: "Immediately after all passengers were boarded United discovered the plane had to be replaced. We all had to deplane, wait an hour more for a new A320, and reboard. Also irritating that delays are posted at 15 minute intervals and then updated; so you have to keep updating friends & family via WiFi. If it's predicted to be an hour, say so."

Pros: "I was happy to finally receive a drink one the flight started. A waterbottle at the seat and not other service would have been nice. Wifi was not working. The seats were small and cramped. My seat did not stay either up or down...it kept moving around and would not stay adjusted. However the crew was fantastic and our two female pilots were amazing. Captain Amy touched down in Phoenix was one of the smoothest I have ever experienced."

Pros: "I didn't get dragged of a flight due to overbooking. So that is always a positive."
Cons: "United needs to add more entertainment options to all of their flights. Virgin, JetBlue have done this. Why can't United? You have record profits, invest it in inflight experience."

Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

Cons: "Boarding was unpleasant I had to wait so long to be seated because no wheelchair was available then I had to sit in the rear of the plane I'm physically disabled I had no leg room and my knees were in pain the whole flight then after landing I had to wait 20 to 25 minutes to get off the plane I'm still recovering from that but keep the attendance they were the highlight of my experience"

I tend to only fly United when I have no other options. This experience was exactly what I expected from the airline. However, I was traveling with my mother this trip and wish I would've spent the money to fly a different airline."

I saw he went to ask one of the crew but was told to wait until flight takes off then no one helped him after. Flight was bumpy most of the time..not a very happy customer"

Cons: "Longest security line I've ever seen. I almost missed my flight though I was 3 hours early. Weird set up at departures. At gate warned flight overbookedso we were all stressed we may not even get seat though mine was booked months in advance. I was in zone 4 and they only allowed zones 1-3 to stow carry on items that we had to already lug around the airport for hours. I was forced to check my regulation sized bag in the passageway to the plane as well as everyone else in my zone. Economy seat especially tiny and cramped. Unpleasant flight attendents."

Then there was a delay in boarding, no entertainment on board unless you buy wifi or previously downloaded the united app to watch selected shows on your mobile device! Appalling to say the least! Whatever happened to the days when you get on an airplane and food and entertainment was a part of your ticket price! Another thing that bothered me was the fact that I had to pay $25 for my suitcase! Really United! Am I not allowed one piece of luggage? I don't like carry my bags around with me so now I have to pay to check it! Shouldn't that be the other way around! Charge for carry on luggage, it's such a hassle and also slows down boarding time, cases congestion in the hallway with everyone reaching for their luggage in the overhead bins! I can keep going, but what good is it gonna do. United airlines suck!"

Cons: "They cancelled my flight the morning of, I was rerouted through a later flight to AA when the United employee couldn't speak enough English to communicate, I misheard 2:30 when she actually said 2:13. Showed up an hour early as I always do at Eugene airport, only to have the gate shut in my face...we'd missed the flight. I then proceeded to get in my car and drive three hours to catch a connecting flight to Phoenix through traffic etc etc....only to arrive in Phoenix 6 hours later than expected. All of my evening business meetings, lost. Thanks United, you always seem to find a new way to screw it up."

Pros: "We paid to upgrade so comfort was better than most but seats are not wide enough. I don't know how a larger or obese person would travel."
Cons: "Paying for tv and movies. Seats way too narrow. A typical low grade economy seat has zero room to move or legroom if you're carry on is under the seat in front. Seems like it's gotten worse over last ten years... Isn't it dangerous to have us all crammed in there like that?"

Pros: "I traveled down south from Anc to Pns, rsking my mom and aunt home.The attendants in Anchorage and Denver were helpful. Leaving Denver we didn't have a wheelchair for my aunt and the attendant called several times, finally someone came for my mom, but my aunt had to walk. In Houston no one very came with wheel chairs and they both had to walk, then a gentleman came with a cart, but could only drive so far. When we arrived at the team they were no wheel chair attendants available."
Cons: "Normally this wouldn't matter however my mom has a prosthetic hip that made one side of her body shorter than the other and she has a bad limp. My aunt has rheumatoid arthritis in her feet and they swell really bad when she walks alot. Flying to Anchorage Delta had greattach customer support at every point. Flying to Pensacola United had little customer support staff."
