I have an Alaska Air credit card and one of the selling points was to board earlier, but that has not been the case, as they reserve this for their higher level customers, whatever that means. Also, on this flight, I was very unimpressed with the crew, there was a younger African American man, who was particularly unfriendly, he clearly needs remedial training in customer service. I was disappointed with my experience this time as I have mostly found the crews to be very professional."

Cons: "I don't normally leave reviews, but words really can't describe the nightmarishness of what should have been a quick four hour flight from San Francisco to Washington. Seats for my wife and I were not where I had reserved. Plane had one working lavatory for a cabin of 150 economy passengers. This resulted in a line that stretched the entirety of the single aisle of the plane for the majority of the flight. The second toilet simply had a piece of paper with sharpie that read "DO NOT USE!!" There were two attendants, one of whom wore a t-shirt and was mostly indistinguishable from the passengers. Didn't get so much as a cup of water until over two hours into the four hour flight. No snack, but that's the least of my complaints really. The attendants spent most of the flight in the back of the plane discussing their new vacation lottery and where they were going to go out drinking when we landed–I know because the rear of the plane was where I ended up, forced to smell the single working toilet, in a seat that didn't recline."

Then the front desk staff could only help to switch to row 12 and row 13. We’re still not together. That’s horrible. Then when we got on the plane, I asked people around if they don’t mind to switch their seats, but still not working well. The flight attendants didn’t help at all. Just saying, “this is the best we can do.” What did they do? They didn’t even help me to work it out. Then one of the front desk staff came onto the plane and help me out. My son and I finally sit together. But the overall experience sucks! Alaska Airlines needs to train their crew to have more emphatic to the passengers."

Cons: "I had a flight with a connection starting at 6 PM on a Monday. At 5 AM the day of the flight I received notification that the first flight would be delayed, making connection impossible, I was prompted to select another flight to arrive to my destination. I chose a flight with a connection staring at 7 PM. Upon getting on the first flight we began to prepare for takeoff. After about 30 minutes the pilot notified us that we would be delayed 40 minutes because we had nowhere to land at my connection airport. I realized at that point that I would possibly miss my connection, which was scheduled at 10:20 PM. However, I did arrive at the connection airport around 9:40 PM which would have given just enough time to arrive at the connection gate. Unfortunately, upon arrival to the connection airport the pilot informed us that we would have no gate to de-board the plane. The pilot stated that all connections "were aware of our delay" and gave us the gates for each connection. I got off the plane at 10:15 PM and ran to my connection gate arriving exactly at 10:20. The gate attendants informed me that my flight had left, my bags were on the way to my destination city and that I would need to spend the night in the connection city. The attendants, appeared disinterested and impolite but upon prompting provided us with a hotel voucher for the night. The next day we arrived at the airport 2 hours before boarding and waited at the gate. When it was near the time for departure we were informed that the plane had been downgraded and requests were made for some to give up their seats for a later flight or check carryon bags to make room for other passengers. While some lined up to give up their seats and bags, those who chose to remain on the original flight were forced to wait before boarding the plane. We were then told that we would have to wait until the pilot and crew arrived before boarding. Scheduled departure time was 5:46 PM but the time got pushed back until we boarded around 6:30, departure was rescheduled to 6:50 PM. We boarded the plane and waited for departure but a few minutes later the pilot informed us that "he just got here" and that there were mechanical problems that would cause further delay. After an hour we were informed that the plane was not able to fly and instructed to go to another gate for another plane. Departure time got rescheduled to 8:30 PM. The plane departed after 9 PM and arrived at 10:30 PM for a 5:46 PM scheduled departure."

Cons: "A little overcautious regarding seating the cabin crew because of possible turbulence, but better safe than sorry, I suppose. However, it is a common occurrence on this particular leg, so don't board knowing you might need to take a "break" before you get to Atlanta."

The lady at the check in desk never asked me if I was first class or main cabin. Just assumed I was main cabin. So they almost made me check my carry on until I showed my boarding pass. Other than that, everything was great. Smooth flight flight attendants were very nice

The pretzels were ok, but a wider assortment of snack choices would be better.

8 hour delay and cancellation. Lost baggage no food vouchers no refund no help. Never flying AA again.

This forced me to go through the non-TSA precheck even though I have paid for and am a known traveler. At our destination there were clear sunn6 skies. Extra fuel was needed for that. So I was stuck in a seat the size of a child’s car seat for an extra 40 minutes? And when we could finally get off, my legs had fallen asleep ffrom being too squeezed in for that relatively short flight. When will the airlines focus on the passengers’ safety & comfort and not on excessive profits?"

Cons: "I am very disappointed with my flight this morning on American Airlines 1533. The crew did an excellent job. The issue, however, is the media AA chose to play at 8:30am. The NBC show that was playing on every overhead TV on the flight featured a woman being sexually assaulted by a man, someone being bludgeoned with a piece a wood until they lay unconscience in a pool of blood, and woman with a gun to her head as she’s being yelled at by multiple men. I was flying with my three year old son. Why on earth is it necessary to show this tv show (or any show that has mature/adult ratings) on a flight that is obviously going to have audiences of all ages? Our flight had a dozen or so children and when you show prime time trash on the overhead TVs, it’s really tough to keep kids from looking forward the entire length of the 2 hour flight so they don’t watch a woman being raped, a man being beaten, or someone being held at gunpoint. I am traveling on behalf of the US government so I didn’t have to pay for my ticket. I did, however, pay for my 3 year old son to accompany me on the flight and I am wholly unsatisfied with the AA team responsible for choosing in-flight ‘entertainment.’ I’m not sure if NBC pays AA to feature their shows or AA has to pay NBC for the pleasure of featuring their trash but either way, what in the world are you guys thinking?"

I turned it off AT LEAST EIGHT TIMES and it kept coming back on, first to try to sell me on a credit card offer, then to show me previews of movies I wasn't going to watch on a 5 AM FLIGHT that was lasting 75 MINUTES. I finally tore a page out of the AA magazine and wedged it against the screen so I could actually sleep without it constantly blinking on and disturbing me. Next time, I'm going to smash the screen. If I want it off, leave it off."

One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for hours- weather related, but at other destinations- so this flight had to wait to be rescheduled. Also they weren't able to give any idea when the flight would be boarding- they just kept sending text alerts that it was delayed another half hour and no updates were listed on the screens. When the flight finally left, after I had been waiting for over 5 hours, we were told that they would be flying low, so there would be no beverage service. It would be nice in these situations to simply have bottled water to pass out quickly, or make the announcement prior to boarding so people would be able to bring their own beverages."

I have anxiety to the max about it & my husband gets ulcerative colitis flare ups any time he's stressed out which is usually while we fly and having our dogs with us turkey makes us feel better. When I called to tell them over the phone we would have our emotional support animal I got an attitude as if I hadn't been doing this for the last 4 years. She reiterated to me that we needed in addition to the letterhead from the doctor a form filled out (which we both did ) . Brought to the airport and sit had to sit at the counter like the girl didn't know what she was doing. Fast forward to finally getting to the gate after being stressed and our flight was delayed. This now only made our 50 min layover in DC 20 min by the time we landed. We ran from one gate to the next hoping we wouldn't miss our flight and when we got there they wouldn't let us on the plane saying things like "your dogs are not on this flight" "there is no documentation" "well then you must not have the right paperwork" ... in front of a bunch of people in line, out of breath, and now embarrassed I am forced to take out my folder and give them all the paperwork I had just given to the customer service desk before our first flight. They let everyone on the plane and still made us stand there and finally said "just go but your dogs aren't on this flight". Fast forward AGAIN to sitting on the flight the flight attendant comes over and says "guys where's you carrier the dogs need to be under the seats" .. we peoceeded again to explain for the seventh time that they were emotional support animals ... she then proceeded "no they are not they are not even listed on this flight" at this point I'm EXTREMLY embarrassed because people on the plane are paying attention and drawing attention to us but not only that ... I have been doing this for years .. I ALWAYS have the proper documentation as does my husband and we have never ran into this kind of disappointment and embarrassment from any airline until now. I was so stressed out to begin with and this deffinately didn't help ... nor did it make us wants to fly on American again. I felt pushed aside, embarrassed, and belittled by multiples employees ... all because the first employee clearly made a mistake and didn't document things correctly ... that should have never been put on us ."

(he was en route from NYC to MIA). But instead of providing accommodations, the times changed and then they boarded us on the plane where we proceeded to wait almost an hour on the plane before take off. Arrived at DCA at 3 am....not a goo start to a work week."

By the time we got to DC I had JUST missed my connecting flight. It was listed nowhere on the departures screen and I realized I had to take an outdoor bus to the other half of the "c" terminal which was very confusing. I got there and had missed the connecting flight and stand in line for 20 min for someone to tell me that I would be stuck in DC overnight. At this point rain had started pouring and they told me that because my mishap was due to weather they would provide no meal or hotel voucher. Weather was not the issue and I was stuck in DC overnight by myself and not compensated for hotels or meals."

We ended up flying Alaska Airlines on the way there and I wish we had originally booked through them because the way back was AWFUL. They wouldn't seat my partner and I together because we were flying Economy class, which they reminded us of repeatedly when I complained. The agents claimed they had no power to do anything because of the computer system which randomly selects your seats. I asked what about people traveling with small children and they didn't seem to have an answer. Oh yeah, that's another thing. As if we got a better deal than with any other airline out there after all the bag fees. The Economy class/the majority of the people flying have no carry on allowance. By the way, when we got on the flight we were able to sit next to each other because the seats next to us weren't even occupied. Ridiculous. Never flying United again. I've been bumped off of flights and had bad experiences before but this was the last straw for me."

Pros: "These days we can all admit flying is not what it used to be before 9/11. It's still professional and curtious, but the awareness and appreciation of passengers has dwindled. Stewards and stewardesses go through the motions and do just what they need to do not more. The pilots got the plane to its destination well within the time sometimes even a half an hour early. But sometimes being that early means sitting on the tarmac for 40 minutes which cut it close to missing my next flight. Flights used to offer blankets if passengers were cold. If the plane is not full they do allow passengers to move seats to be more comfortable. The complementary beverage is still always a nice touch but seconds aren't offered and cups are often taken before they're finished. It would be nice to see our country's airlines go back to a little more awareness and appreciation for one another, and work to improving their levels to above satisfactory. The flight was supposed to have entertainment viewable on personal devices but going through the app to select something was told this flight didn't have access. Overall it was satisfactory."

Updates were supposed to happen every thirty minutes but more than three times they were longer than thirty minute intervals and at one point more than ninety minutes without an update. The representatives at the Chicago gate told us we were all set then the rest of the passengers boarded the plane. The pilot said they were waiting on maintenance paperwork to print off but then we waited an extra hour at the gate on board while we could still hear very loud tests of the hydraulic system. Once we finally left the gate and headed out on the runway for takeoff we stopped just before takeoff and the pilot said we were waiting on PAPERWORK AGAIN! This was another 30 minute delay and we finally took off. We were supposed to arrive home at 10:00pm and instead arrived at 3:00am..."

Cons: "This was my return flight to DCA. The flight home was marginally better because I paid $13 to upgrade to a window seat. I did not upgrade further for $45 to include reclining and more leg room. I guessed right the little extra room by the window gave me enough to be slightly more comfortable than the torturous middle seat. This time I checked my carry-on early, and saved $7. I paid $38 instead of $45. I prepaid my checked luggage. My base ticket was $368 but with the checked luggage, carry-on, and changed seat fees, it cost me $510. The base rate was not sufficiently low enough to really make a difference because of the all the add-on charges. Besides the charge for carry-ons, there is a charge for a simple drink or snack - $2.99. At least other airlines offer water and nuts, & do not charge for carry-ons. The ticket cost for other airlines were not near or over $510. This bare bones, nickel & dime may be good for some but not for me. I would rather give up a nonstop flight for comfort on a 4-hour trip and no hassles about carry-on luggage or a cup of water. If the trip was under 2 hours, it may not have been so bad but the fees for this or that is not very appetizing either."

When the flight crew refers to the 6 inch by 3 inch "table" as a "barbie tray" that makes it funny, but no less lame. How could we top all this lameness off with a lame sauce? How about the flight crew "requesting" your attention and forcing you to sit through a 5 minute *credit card offer*. I could not believe it when the credit card offer started. Afterwards, she walked through the aisles and asked every person who dared to gaze in her general direction whether they were interested in her offer. How many were? ZERO. Before this flight I truly had no opinion about which airline I should fly, but now I do have a preference... Literally anyone other than Frontier."
Cons: "This airline is like something out of a comedy about bad airlines. It starts with their "low fares" that don't include basics like carryon bags and seat selection. Next are the seats, which don't even recline a little bit, are SHOCKINGLY tiny and uncomfortable, provide significantly less leg room than anything I've seen anywhere else, 4"x3" beverage trays that the flight attendants openly laugh at, and no food/beverage menus. Even the flight attendants are worse than average; a woman asked one of them if there was a bathroom in the front of the plane, and she responded that she didn't know. Just corner cutting and general low quality across the board. Oh and of course no movie or internet options. They should change their name to "no other flights at the time you needed to be there" airlines."
Cons: "Flight check-in for Frontier was so busy that I ended up going through the outdoor check-in line, even though it was well below freezing outside. The flight was delayed about 3 hours with multiple gate changes and little communication about the delays and gate changes. Most passengers learned of the changes from Frontier's website while waiting at a gate. After waiting outside in cold temperatures to hand over my checked bag, it turns out Frontier never put my bag on the plane. In fact, about 30 people had checked bags that were not put on our plane. When I tried to call the Frontier customer service phone line, it was so busy that they were not accepting calls and the system hung up on me. My bag was delivered almost 24 hours after the plane landed, but that meant I lost a day of vacation because I had to wait for someone to deliver my bag, whenever was convenient for the airline. Frontier did refund me the cost of the checked bag and gave me a $50 credit to encourage me to return as a customer. When any sort of baggage (checked or carry-on) costs at least $30, that $50 credit really is not enough to make up for their incompetence"

Cons: "Really shocked to see when I was checking in that we had to pay $300 in fees for our 2 carry ons, 2 checked bags AND FOR OUR SEATS! We were pretty upset about it but nothing we could do, it was a snowboarding trip so we had to carry our gear with us... So after we got over that shock, we board the plane and discover that seats don't recline, snacks and sodas come at a price ($3 for a can of coke) and there's absolutely no entertainment. All this being said, I would expect this from a low budget airline, BUT we paid a lot for our tickets. Granted it was a New Year's flight, but still, we've never seen this from any other airline. Unfortunately, we will not be choosing Frontier in the future."

I tried rebooking on the web site, but that didn't work. The web site did not know about the cancellation at all and wanted to charge me a large rebooking fee. Meanwhile I was on hold for two hours. Finally, I needed a midnight trip to the airport in order to rebook. At the airport, I witnessed ill-informed and stressed agents failing to cope with stressed stranded customers. One agent told a customer that she refused to help him any longer because he recorded her."

No amenities were provided. Apple juice cost $3. No in flight entertainment, not even a magazine. This flight cost as much as a major airline when I booked it--the only convenience was timing back to our original airport. Add the seat up charge and I probably paid more. This experience proved to me that it might be ok to pay a little extra for a major carrier, especially on long trips."

No complimentary snacks, just an airline trying to milk you for your money , and there is NO LEG ROOM , on their planes what so ever . Frontier airlines is now on my DO NOT FLY list along with Spirit airlines . Back to Delta I go !!!"

I asked the lady at check-in (who rudely rolled her eyes at me when I said I needed a boarding pass printed), why it was so busy and she gave me a blank stare and said "it's like this every day at this time, we have five flights going out." Sooooo they know it's like this everyday...why don't they fix the problem and have more than TWO PEOPLE behind the desk? This doesn't seem like rocket science. Security took 40 minutes too, and I told two TSA people my flight was boarding, and they just looked at me and shrugged. I've seen far better at other airports. My gate closed at 4:20. I was still in line at 4:10. Somehow I made it through and had to full out sprint to the gate. I made it at 4:18, and the gate guy said "I hate to have to close the gate on people, good thing I don't!". THIS ISN'T A JOKE. I made it, with two minutes to spare, but this was insane. I was there two hours early, it's not like I came crashing in twenty minutes before. I also watched a a young woman in line miss her flight entirely because of their slow check-in, and the desk people just looked at her and shrugged. Their lack of service and support was unbelievable and unacceptable. There is a reason these flights are so cheap, and I saw it all firsthand."

Cons: "Seats are hard and didn't move. Could maneuver to reach items that slipped to the floor. Very uncomfortable for a four hour flight. Pull down table was very very small, and had sharp surfaces that would scratch my computer case. Stewards did not stop to offer water. Shameless marketing of food items and credit cards. The only reason we booked with Frontier is because of the nonstop to DC to fly a 90+ year old. Not looking to return flight and will never do again."
Cons: "I miss my flight. It was move to another gate and my time is wrong because of the time change. It would be nice if they post it at the podium screen or glance the passengers saying it was move. I was move to another flight and i have to pay again. Gate confusion."
Pros: "I liked the team of flight attendants and crew."
Cons: "The seats are just not comfortable. I've traveled on buses in India that were more comfortable. There's limited room and space between seats, which is frustrating as well. Plus, everything is an incremental charge/fee. Charging for bags whether they're checked or not, is not good customer service. It's inconvenient and I don't particularly like being charged for small incidentals such as coffee, juice or soda. It's another inconvenience for the customer to reach under their already cramped seat for their wallet to pay. Plus the crew of flight attendants is slowed down by the payment process. I consider this bad customer service overall by Frontier. Poor crew. I suspect they're equally as frustrated with having to indicated that everything is offered for a fee."
Pros: "I have to say the employees do provide the best customer service they can. Everyone was very nice, and I was offered vouchers to appease me."
Cons: "My return flight was canceled about a week before. The alternative I was offered was no good, so I had to rebook on another airline for a lot of money. The outgoing flight was delayed by 3 hours. Won't be booking with Frontier again unless I have lots of flexibility in terms of time."
Cons: "Price is fairly high for what constitutes "budget" flying. Charges for carry-on luggage is laughable given the high cost of a ticket--costs as much as Delta, but without all of the amenities. The plane was dirty (tray table had something brown and sticky, and seat was covered in crumbs). This experience is also on par with the previous Frontier experience I had, where the plane was dirty, and we sat on the tarmac for an hour after landing at Denver. All in all, terrible, and I will avoid flying with Frontier if at all possible in the future."
Pros: "We got there and back safely; the pilots seemed competent; the flight attendants were pleasant enough."
Cons: "Very uncomfortable and narrow seats. Carry-on AND checked bag fees; even water on the plane (poured it into a plastic cup, not a bottle) was $2.50! I didn't realize that this airline upcharges for every possible item so the ticket wasn't as cheap as I thought once I included about $60 in baggage fees. I also folded and paid $28 to choose a seat on my return flight since you have to pay to choose ANY seat, otherwise you end up in the middle. Unless there's a serious fare difference (including all the upcharges) for future flights I will not plan to fly Frontier again."
Cons: "I will NEVER fly frontier again! Besides the unexpected high extra fees the day of travel totalling about $100, my seat being reassigned without any explanation or apology and no entertainment being available, the horrible customer service on board was insurmountable. The flight attendants disrespected several passengers directly and complained about several passengers in a degrading manner to one another, a conversations that i could hear from my seat in thhe 1st row of the cabin. When one passenger had too much luggage on board one flight attendant said to him "the world is not all about you". They complained about a passenger who answered them "yes" instead of "yes please". When giving the safety instruction demonstration one flight attendant made an uncomfortable comment/joke about how a "fat person" had been wearing the life jacket before her. At one point in the flight an elderly man used the resrroom and when he returned to his seat two flight attendants made complaints about the smell and made a spectacle of using several different air fresheners while laughing and complaining about the situation. I could continue to go on with the disgraceful behavior i saw. I am so glad that i did not have to interact with them directly myself. I have never seen such unprofessional and abusive behavior by flight attendants. I am very disapppinted with the experience and will never fly with Frontier again."
Cons: "My step son (Matt Altizer) couldn't make the flight due to his wife's illness and they won't refund his money. He went through all the steps and all they would do is give him credit for the next 90 days. How can we get Frontier to understand? Good customer service would give a full refund. Cons: "Seats are so unpadded it was like sitting 3 hours on a board. Mini-tray tables are difficult to use. I had to pay another $84 for seats and one carry-on bag before I could get a boarding pass. I did not see these costs disclosed before I booked the ticket. They do not serve ANYTHING, drinks or food, unless you buy it. The overhead light was burned out and I could not read. The flight was 45 minutes late. Our adjacent flight passengers were told to use the bathroom before they got on the plane because they would only have one working bathroom on the flight. NEVER AGAIN"

Cons: "The day after arriving at our destination, our return trip was canceled: "due to day-of-travel flight cancellation or traveler no-show." I can assure you, we did show; I had the pictures. They tried to put us on an earlier flight, which was not convenient, due to travel plans made 8 months prior, so the return flight was scheduled for the next day (again, inconvenient, due to loss of income). Frontier attempted to charge me for the extra day. After I complained multiple times, they finally waived the additional charge when I reminded them I was NOT the one who canceled the original flight. My daughter and I were provided $100 travel vouchers, each, for the "inconvenience." Frontier can keep their $200."
Pros: "I didn't even know there were air carriers who required checkin online and arriving to airport 2 hours in advance - I feel Frontier should have a huge RED warning in Kayak "check this airlines policy! They aren't the norm." Maybe their low cost model requires that most of us can't follow these and will incur fees. Also says in terms & conditions that they can bump you for any reason as flights are overbooked as a business policy. Frontier doesnt "participate" in TSA Pre - despite press reports that it would be added in Sept. (never even knew a carrier had a role except merely printing the Known Traveller number) anyway my flight cost, bc I paid to choose a seat, had a carryon & two suitcases, was similar to other airlines. I guess I appreciate a barebones model for those who need it, and the flight itself was short & perfectly fine...but frankly this airlines terrifies me and is way outside the norm - it should NOT be grouped with other reputable lost cost carriers like Southwest."

Cons: "This was a memorably bad experience in being at the wrong end of incompetent management. While at the departure gate, the Frontier rep at the kiosk informed everyone in overly casual vernacular that, "looks like the flight will be delayed an hour or so because the crew feels tired, and doesn't want to fly another leg, so we're going to try try to find another crew." In other words, you'll be late not because of weather or anything out of Frontier's managerial control. Quite the opposite - you'll be arriving late because we're incompetent at organizational management of human resources. An hour and fifteen minutes delay followed, with some confusion. Arriving in DC, we enjoyed that same fresh honesty when the Captain announced, upon pulling aside the gate, that, "Folks I'm not sure what's taking the gate crew so long, but there doesn't seem to be anyone pushing the ramp out for us to exit - please hold tight." That was after 10 minutes of mysterious inaction. Another 30-40 followed. Finally, after an accidental "ping" that prompted passengers to stand--only to be told to sit back down as the plane wasn't affixed yet to the gate--everyone stood on the second, correct announcement to offload. If only. They then tried to get passengers to sit back down b/c a different Frontier crew and a pilot needed, from their middle seats, to get off first. Passengers started booing. I've seen a flight like that. Didn't even describe one truly out-of-line passenger up front who lost his temper and refused to comply. Again - a very memorable experience. And not in a good way."

Cons: "The plane, the crew (who beyond being unfriendly managed to racially profile the gentleman sitting behind me and question him unnecessarily for using the camera on his phone for "security" reasons), the nickel and diming for everything"

Cons: "What kind of actual airline won't even give you get a dinky glass of diet coke or cup of coffee without paying for it? And a $40 checked bag fee at the airport? I get that these foregone luxuries are what allows the prices to be low, but it's just not worth it to spend the whole flight feeling completely unappreciated, uncomfortable, and nicked-and-dimed. My friend even prepaid for a reserved window seat, and was told upon arrival that the seat was someone else's. They said they'd refund her, but obviously that was not the outcome she wanted nor originally paid for. Not to mention no entertainment, no earbuds, not even a semi-comfortable head rest of any kind. I'll shell out the $50 or whatever more next time to feel like I'm not getting ripped off. Also, flights both ways were delayed, but the staff still feels the need to shame you for not showing up at the original boarding time."
Cons: "The plane is uncomfortable, crowded, I have paying for baggage and water and seat assignments. I would rather know all of the costs upfront. One customer brought so much luggage on the plane that they took up an entire overhead bin, leaving the rest of the passengers who paid for luggage without any space. The crew did nothing about this. I am frustrated with Frontier based on my last several experiences flying with them, and will look for another airline next time. Also, Frontier doesn't do TSA pre-check, which is annoying since it is a service I've already paid for."
Cons: "Got to the airport with 50 minutes remaining before my flight took off, which usually isn't a problem. The ticketing booths were out of order so I had to wait in line for a ticket. The lady told me I wasn't going to make my flight, even though I had 35 minutes left. We sat around discussing how I didn't have enough time for five minutes before she called her supervisor over who went through the whole routine with me again. This whole process left me with 20 minutes before the flight. I said I would run right over and they said there was no way they would let me on the flight, and that they wouldn't even let me try to make it. Luckily for them, there was a red eye that they could sell to me for an additional $200. I acquiesced and bought the ticket even though I was super mad. I walk to my new gate, ready to sit around for 12 hours, but I also walked past my old gate. MY FIRST FLIGHT HAD BEEN DELAYED. I could still get on this one. It was a blessing in disguise. However, I cannot believe Frontier did not inform me of the flight delay, and stalled me at the ticketing booth, just so they could sell me a more expensive ticket. I went to customer service. The lady told me she could get me back on my first flight but that I was unable to receive a refund because of their official policy. I was shocked. I stood there and pleaded with her. She eventually conceded. The refund is still forthcoming though."

Cons: "1. 4:30pm flight had a FOUR hour delay!! No communication as to why. Empty plane finally arrived. 2. Got back east at 2am on a Sunday night, yet still had a long wait in an abandoned airport for luggage. 3. Got scammed by LOW ticket price, and then RIPPED OFF by exorbitant baggage fees...bringing the low price right back up there. 4. I could have paid another airline the same $$, and gotten FREE water and a magazine! Nickel and dimed everything. 5. Difficult to rate staff, because with no service, no interaction...except to 'fasten your seatbelt'. Boarding was boarding. Nothing to rate. 6. Offered $$ off my next flight b/c of the delay, but it expired in 60 days...REALLY? Yeah, the average Joe who flies this airline will SURELY be traveling again in a few months. LAME. Not worth the risk of flying this airline again, IMO."
Cons: "No where when I was booking my flight was stated that I would have to pay to reserve a seat. I understand paying more for extra leg room but charging just to pick a seat in the back of the plane is rediculous and makes me never want to fly frontier anymore. I usually love flying frontier, but it makes me pick another airline. The flight was delayed 3 hours and I understand that things happen, but we were never told why our flight was delayed. The flight attendants were OK this trip. Usually I find Frontier flight attendants to be very friendly and seems to love their jobs, but this flight they were not the friendliest."

Cons: "Delay after delay brought our flight into Washington at an unacceptably late hour. No apologies or acknowledgment of the immense burden it put on passengers. I understand that technical difficulties happen, but on any other airline there would be steps taken to at least appear as though they valued their customers. My seat mate ordered a tea, and was charged the $3, and that bugged me a bit....we arrived at 2am, over 4 hours late, and there isn't a policy to comp a $3 tea? A simple, "hey its on the house" would have given an appearance of understanding. Simple policy change may actually help retain a few patrons here and there. I do not plan on flying Frontier again."

Cons: "Everything. This was the grossest airline, worst staff, and worst flight experience of my entire life."
Cons: "There was no mention of a delay while boarding but it took an extra 40 minutes to get started. There were storms in dc and our plane had to be redirected to a different airport. We were not given accurate information or updated with any frequency. We would be told more information is coming in 15 minutes, then sit for an hour and hear nothing. i could not update my driver that was at the original destination airport. While stuck on the plane at the new airport we were told we could not get off the plane or we would not be allowed back on and if we decided to get off and drive we could not get our checked bags. Snacks were not offered for hours and more than one flight attendant said they were out of everything and running out of water. When they finally offered food, full price was still the only option and they had everyone line up in the back of the plane, blocking both lavatories. Half way through the line we were told we could close the doors and prepare to take off and everyone remaining was sent back to their seat. We waited another half hour to actually take off."
Pros: "I just plain like the Frontier method as it has been done for years. The pricing, seating, employees and most everything else just works."
Cons: "I've traveled with Frontier for years and on previous flights to DCA, I thought I should blame the baggage claim delay on the airport. Now I am told it is a Frontier responsibility and I am livid. It gets worse every trip. This time it took an hour to get our bags and it was clearly unnecessary. The first bags came out at about 30 minutes, but after that they dribbled out with no explanation whatsoever. Someone is a real laggard and they need to be fired! This experience was so bad that it takes precedence over our previous beefs. Boarding could be much better from back to front and the new seats are terrible, but like I said, if the baggage could be fixed, I would be willing to concede a few. At this point, I am ready to jump ship to Southwest."
