Cons: The plane was delayed from Tokyo to Los Angeles due to a pilot staffing issue. The plane stopped in Honolulu at 6:00AM in the morning and no staff was able to assist so they made everyone go through the run-around to have the luggage scanned for agriculture. Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great.

Cons: A family with 2 kids making noisy and crying nonstop during the flight the father was playing Japanese video games with headphones on and very careless but once in a wile started yelling at Kiks because they distracted him from his entertainment. Grandma next to them was careless too,mother left the kids to father and was sitting 2 rows in the back and they never came at least to try to make them quiet even when the kids started to kik everywhere licluding the food tray and almost breaks it. Unfortunately the staff never came and try to talk to them about this issue Most of the people including several senior citizens looked angry and frustrated.

Pros: This flight was part of a longer trip - I flew from Hartford, CT, USA on a different airline and connected to Japan Airlines in Chicago. I flew Chicago to Tokyo in JAL and then from Tokyo to Manila again on JAL. The service on first leg was very good and friendly of my JAL flights, food was good, seat was comfortable. Then on my second flight from Tokyo to Manila I was shocked but thrilled that I had been given an upgrade to first class. The whole experience was outstanding! The seat was incredibly comfortable and the food was phenomenal. The only problem, not that you could call it a problem, was that I was so comfortable with my fluffy pillow and fully reclining seat that I couldn’t stay awake to finish my movie! Thank you!

Pros: In particular we give kudos to Tadaka, who seemed to be a manager and went above and beyond to help us with our boarding and seat assignments. She even recognized us the next day! Superior customer service.

Cons: After having an enjoyable experience on the first Japan Air flight, the second flight from Narita to Manila was late to board & leave, the food was not nearly as appealing and the flight seats were noticeably less comfortable and less roomy than the first flight.

Pros: The food is good. The seats for regular economy are a bit more spacious. They also have some deal with fast food restaurants, Mos Burger and Yoshinoya so sometimes you can get their air version of the fast-food meals. I had Yoshinoya and it was pretty good. The entertainment was okay, the only 2 things I wanted to watch was John Wick 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the movies change every month so it was probably a bad batch. Also free toothbrushes and toothpaste available on the plane and a self service snack area. Overall it was great.

Restrooms were not as clean as before although they were way better than other airlines. Crew's English speaking still need improvement. Please keep up the good works! I will flight JAL again soon.

Pros: On the flight home they upgraded me to business class while apologizing my original economy seat was not available. Amazing. I had a rather unsettled stomach so when the food service came I wasn't hungry. I told the flight attendant, and she brought me some very bland easy to eat food without me even asking. She then checked on me constantly to see how I was feeling, and suggested sparkling water. When I deplaned, she checked one more time with me, if they could do anything. I was feeling much better, and give this airline my highest endorsement.

Pros: The good: The food was tasty given we were on an airplane. Better entertainment selection than my AA flight to Japan. I prefer the 3-3-3 seat layout to the 2-5-2 because even though I had a middle seat there was only one person to get past in either direction.
Cons: The bad: The plane was warm. I understand some people get cold, but since blankets are provided I would much prefer a colder plan than a warmer one. The warmth made it hard to sleep, which is a big problem on an overnight flight. JAL does not provide individual air vents to passengers seated where I was. I understand the reason for this, but I wish there was some way to get more comfortable. The seats were standard airline economy seats, roomy enough and with enough legroom for my sub-6-foot frame, but not the most comfortable.

Pros: I loved flying JAL! I've flown several times between the US and Korea, and this was the best trip I've taken thus far! It was comfortable, the plane was awesome with high ceilings and it actually felt quite spacious. The entertainment was also perfect with tons of stuff to choose from. The best part, though, was their exemplary customer service! I needed to transport cold insulin, so at the gate counter I checked with the gate agent to see if they could refrigerate my insulin since I had a long travel time to my home destination. She promptly found out for me and talked to the flight attendants and told me they would take care of it when I got to my seat. She even checked to see if I needed a special meal or not after I finding out I was diabetic. They were so kind! They even let me refreeze my cold packs in their freezer before landing so I could keep my insulin cold after we landed. It was a huge help and they seemed genuinely concerned for my well being and what I needed. I will now fly JAL whenever I can!

Cons: What I didn't know was the Jal return flight to the US was operated by American Airlines. The flight was packed, my inflight entertainment was broken, my folding table was broken so all my meals had to be held up by my knees , and I had a kicking screaming baby seated behind me keeping me up the whole flight. The crew was very rude and irritated by the full flight so the service was also terrible. Never flying with AA again.

Cons: These scheduled flights on Jan 1, 2019 were cancelled by Lufthansa and we were not informed of these scheduled cancellations either by email or SMS. We waited for several hours at the airport before being informed by an airport staff. We missed one day of work and lot of inconvenience with transportation and accommodation in Bengaluru.

Cons: When I presented my passport at the counter to receive my boarding pass, I was told my passport needed to be over 3 months before expiration. It expires January 14, 2019. It is not written on the passport, nor mentioned during booking. I’ve been to Latvia four times previously and never heard this requirement. I cancelled the flight with Lufthansa who said I must call Kayak who gave me another number to call and that number then sent an email that said there was a $350 rebooking fee for each ticket, IF they decided I was eligible for rebooking. Yes, we got a great rate, but looks like wasted $ now. I will book directly with the airline in the future to ensure the ability to rebook.

Pros: Having a very difficult time thinking of something I like about the whole service. Maybe the checking in process was a little bit smoother at San Diego compared to other airports.
Cons: As many of you know, Frankfurt/San Diego is a new service offered by Lufthansa. It touts direct flights to and from Europe. It’s main advertising draw was connection to the east. Many of their connecting flights at Frankfurt are scheduled within an hour of arrival. This possess a high risk of missing your connecting flight. I experienced this personally as a major number of my fellow travelers missed their connecting flights. Though Frankfurt has good directions, transfers take a long time due to multiple security checks and due to the size of the Airport. LAYOVER OF AT LEAST TWO HOURS WOULD BE BEST. Anything less, you risk missing your flight. I was personally selected TWICE for ‘random check’ for the same flight! Not sure how that can happen! The flight itself is long and arduous. the economy seats are small, cramped and don’t recline much at all. The entertainment selection was very limited. The TV touch screen barely worked. The food was tasteless and service was not much better. I have a hard time sleeping on flights with such bad seats but we had air hostess who kept talking the whole flight and that did not help with resting my eyes. I highly suggest taking a different airline through LAX. I personally feel like driving to LA and taking a flight there would be the wise move.

Pros: Our flight from BLR to FRA got cancelled because of bad weather. The agent at the check in desk immediately put us on an alternate AIr France flight via CDG to LAX, which left an hour before our FRA flight. The service on the flight was excellent. But we are most thankful for the quick re-booking on a different alternative, ensuring no hiccup. We will only be flying Lufthansa from now on, and recommending Lufthansa to all friends and colleagues.

Pros: I was in first class this time. The seat was comfortable for the flight of roughly 2-1/2 hours. We were served a continental breakfast that was filling and healthy with cereal, fresh fruit, Brie, soft crackers and yogurt. I'd rather have something simple but satisfying than something overcomplicated and possibly not that good. The crew was polite and efficient. I did have to use the lavatory at one point and I was happy that it was clean.
Cons: The entertainment system was down, but it wasn't American - it was gogoflight or whatever it's called. I ended up listening to my Audible so it turned out alright, but on a 2+ hour flight, it could have been frustrating.

Cons: 5 hour maintenance delay due to non-responding maintenance crew. Deplaned. Then re-boarded. Then additional delay due to broken tug. Ridiculous.

Pros: Not a lot. Entertainment options on board were decent. Food was alright.
Cons: Everything! Crew were terse, rude and inattentive. Due to an issue with a bag on board without the associated passenger we had to taxi back to the stand for it to be removed before we could take off. This cost us an hours delay. There was limited apologies for this, no refreshments provided during the wait and poor communication of this. During the flight the staff were inattentive and sparing with refreshments. Service generally did not live up to expected level associated with an inter-continents flight. The flight was turbulent but crew and captain seemed over cautious with it and crew had to remain seated unnecessarily at times and at the detriment of passenger service. One stewardess wouldn’t even let me finish a drink before removing it from my hand claiming we were about to land and she had to sit down because of turbulence. We were still 40 mins from landing at this point! All in all a pretty bad flight, and it’s safe to say I won’t be flying American Airlines again.

Cons: I was on a long business trip heading back from India. The flight was delayed leaving India which would have made me miss my connection in London to Phx. Fortunately the flight from London to Phx was delayed (because it was delayed arriving into London) and I was able to make my connection. Especially when we had to take a bus from the plane to the terminal, there is no way I would have made my connection. While I know there are reasons for the delays, it is frustrating. After a long week of traveling and 21 hours of flying- ones patience does run out.

Cons: The flight from Chicago to Barcelona was delayed by 1.5 hour due to first, unexplained reason (looked like late arrival) and updating navigation maps (??). The flight back from Barcelona to Chicago was delayed by 3 hours first due to late arrival and then congestion at the airport.

Pros: I was traveling with my mother who is handicap. The staff did so much to really help her. Although, the staff did everything and I mean everything to help us. TSA was an issue. Plus there was an language barrier.
Cons: The assistant that they gave us was communicating with the TSA officer in Spanish who did not speak any English. The problem was she was over 75 and she does not have to remove her shoes. Instead of explaining to her what was going on she just took her shoes, which made my mother upset mad.

Pros: Crew was full of older agitated staff. The black woman with curly hair was very nice, and friendly.

Pros: Nothing. The plane was late. The WiFi didn’t work. The plane was hot in 90 degree weather and after travelling almost 19 hours I needed a little comfort.
Cons: At least make the WiFi better.

Cons: Free movies lagged and got stuck on wifi. Gave up watching one.

Cons: They left over an hour late, then couldn't get the bags unloaded in philly. Loads of us missed our connections and we've all been stuck here overnight. American staff pretty much all shrugged.

Cons: This flight was delayed by almost 5 hours. While I understand there are some delays sometimes, this was the ONLY flight to Greensboro out of DCA, and the times kept changing throughout the day, even though the gate agents knew that the issue was that the crew was delayed. There should be backup crew available and when there are delays, the passengers should be kept informed. There should be other flight options available when this happens. I never received an apology from anyone I encountered throughout the process, and some personnel were rude even though I was polite.

It was a 9 hour flight and this is 2016.

Cons: AA wants to charge $75 to change tickets to take an earlier flight. Plenty of seats available on the earlier flight, while standby passengers not able to get onto the later flight. I lost 4 hours, AA lost revenue, standby passengers stuck in Philly. Also, no air conditioning on this flight.

And thank you for the USB outlet, now if you could just do that for ALL domestic flights i would never fly anything other than AA. Also, my connection was late and AA held the flight for me and 11 others to our final destination to Honolulu. Thank you American Airlines.

Cons: This flight was five hours late. there was an exchange of four planes before United could provide one that did not need maintenance. When it was time to board there was a last minute gate change to a different terminal. Surely United must have known of this hours in advance.

Cons: Serious turbulence. I don’t know to what extent it was avoidable, but my family was terrified for several minutes and nervous for the remainder of the flight.

Cons: We sat on the plane for 2 hours at the gate to find out that the dispatcher did not have paperwork for the flight and hence we could not leave yet. We were not told of all of the issues and were kept sitting on the plane idle for 2 hours before we had to deplane and wait even more.

Pros: Good selection of films as usual.
Cons: I had to put up with *loud* banter from 2 flight attendants at the back of the plane throughout the entire flight, which was freakin' annoying to say the least. I'm NOT interested which pilot or male attendant you find cute or want to make out with. You also really shouldn't laugh at passengers' faces after telling them to resume their seat to the upright position. A real shame since their performance "on the floor" was perfect.

Pros: The crew of this flight were amazing, attentive, and so positive. They certainly made the long flight an enjoyable one. The only challenge was that the in-flight entertainment stopped working 5 hours into the flight. That said, the crew informed us of how United would compensate us for that. As for the landing, that was perfect. We eased onto the tarmac so gently it barely felt as though we had landed.
Cons: I wasn't too excited that the in-flight entertainment quit working about five hours in, but the crew did their best to remedy the situation. It did stink that we were delayed in disembarking, but that wasn't the fault of the crew. Lastly, I do wish that food came complimentary with it being a 9-hour flight. The options presented were tasty looking but it felt a little like we were being nickeled and dimed.

Pros: By downloading the free united app you have access to a decent library of movies and tv shows to watch on your personal devices over wifi. This made the flight seem much faster.

Cons: Seatback screen the size of an original iPhone, possibly smaller - and no on-demand content to be viewed on it, the movies play when they play. Most TV series available on the app have only one episode. Overhead baggage bins are TINY. Most normal carry-ons won't fit at all in central bins, and some not in side ones either. Expect a fight over them if flight is busy. Large IFE box under every window seat in economy.

Cons: So we arrived at the desk after a 7hr international flight ready for the final 1hr leg - only to be confronted with "flight overbooked" looking for 9 volunteers - how can you over book a 40 seat flight by 9 ???? So we had an anxious wait wondering if we'd be dumped from the flight - we weren't but it wasn't enjoyable waiting for the flight and our meeting with our grand kids.

Cons: Plane too small to support carry-on suitcases, so everyone had to check them gate side and then wait for them right outside plane. All the hassle of carry-on (carry belongings through airport) without the perk (having belongings available during flight).

Cons: I travel for work from Grand Junction, Colorado to Dickinson, North Dakota every 4 to 6 weeks. I always fly United. On one occasion I met family in Colorado Springs, so I bought a round trip ticket from Dickinson to Colorado Springs. I missed the second half of my round trip flight from Colorado Springs to Dickinson. I had to pay my own cab fare from Colorado Springs to Denver to catch my flight, because your plane, that i paid for a flight on, had mechanical issues and didn't make it to Colorado Springs. Second, my flight in Denver was cancelled 3 times and almost a fourth. I all but got down on my knees and begged to catch the fourth flight they tried to cancel. Third, I didn't even get to fly into Dickinson. So instead of somebody coming and picking me up in Dickinson which is a 30-minute drive from where I work, somebody had to drive 3 hours to Williston where you guys ended up getting me. Which cost me 3 hours of gas money to get picked up, instead of 30 min of gas money. I didn't get either of the flights back to North Dakota that I paid for. I've asked for the reasonable request that I be refunded 50% of the cost of the airfare and the $235 it cost for cab fare. When I contacted United about this I got the runaround from everybody. At this point I've pretty much accepted the loss, and the financial hit. I'll continue to fly United only because it's pretty much my only option. Just make sure you keep the crew around. They're great. I'd hate for the experience to go from unsatisfying, to miserable.
