Incredibly long lines, disorganized (a sign clearly said, TSA Pre-check- line up here) and then the people managing the lines yelling at us (and this is an observation) because they wanted us lined up further back. This was baffling because the actual line into the TSA space was empty at that point. I think the ATL security staff could all benefit from some further training about to work with people effectively AND ATL airport needs to look at their systems. I know it's a busy airport, but there has to be something better than what they are doing now!"

Had to get off plane, then had to wait in 3 lines. Agents were so UNPROFESSIONAL! Kept saying flight would go... DID NOT go until another plane came in at 9:00 PM! We, needless to say missed our connecting flight to SYDNEY and had to wait til next day and fly to SAN FRANCISCO, then to MELBOURNE, then on to Christchurch. We MISSED out on TWO DAYS of our short trip! which included missed reservations!!"
Cons: "The flight from Boston was extremely delayed,but miraculasly, the boarding to conecting FinnAir flight 6, took extra 10 minutes, which gave me a chance not to catch it. Though, me and the AA rep., had to cross-run about a mile up and down the escalators at terminal 8 , my baggage was left behind and did not make a transfer to FinnAir 6. At final destination I was asked to file a lost baggage claim. If not the initial flight from Logan, everything should go smoother."

And try to explain that to my kids-ages 9 and 10-who had NEVER flown a plane without individual screens (and my son has been already to 20 countries....yes, we fly.) At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!"

I didn't have a purse or any other item, just a backpack. I told them I had medication and they told me to just put it in my pockets. So I stashed my medicine in my pockets and had no room for my personal items or valuables. I had a hiking backpack with a water bottle in the side, and since they forced me to check the bag, my water bottle flew out of the pocket while it was being loaded onto the plane. Fortunately they at least tracked me down and brought my stainless steel water bottle to my seat. However, it wouldn't fit in the pocket in front of me and I had no other bag to store it in so I had to hold it and a few other belongings in my lap for the entire flight. I also had some other fragile items in my backpack that may or may not be okay. Also, when I boarded the plane, there was still space...there was no need to be so rude and force me to check a bag being used not only as my suitcase but as my purse as well. I'm so displeased with American, their staff, and their overall disorganization. How ridiculous."

I had never seen boarding close that early and it was very frustrating, because the boarding then took a very long time, since they searched us for no reason, and our flight ended up taking off 30 minutes late! As passengers, we felt very rushed, it seems, for no reason."
Cons: "This had to have been among the worst flights I have ever experienced in 50+ years of flying to 86 countries. First, an e-mail before I left my Paris apt that it would be 1 hr late departing. THEN the announcement ON BOARD that the flight would make a REFUELING stop in Bangor Maine (the eqpt was a 20 yr old 757 meant for a medium-range domestic route instead of Paris-NY). So it was FOUR HOURS LATE arriving, including an extra hour on the ground in Bangor because they'd lost their landing slot (tho they lied about "bad weather" at JFK) ... a succession of lies and incompetence. Headphone jack didn't even work at the seat ... the movie was a US film dubbed into French anyway! Gawd what incompetence. A letter Fedexed to Doug Parker, AA's CEO, was not even acknowledged.... and I do 35,000 air miles a year on AA. THE WORST."

Cons: "The entertainment was high my list, only because you're stuck on a flight for many hours. Although I was exhausted because I had a 8 hour layover in Manchester, it would have been nice to have a couple of entertainment options. On my flight on British Airways from New York to Gatwick, we had so many movie and series options. These things are important on a long flight, otherwise the flight becomes torturous because you run out of things to do. On this flight, we had no choices, only what was given to us to watch. This made my flight unbearable."

Pros: "The price of the ticket was really good. The cabin was clean. The seats are a little bigger than Spirit but I'm only 5'2" so that's not much of an issue for me. Flight to Atlanta arrived and left without a hitch. It was very organized and lifted off on time. Return flight was delayed due to weather at my destination in Houston but we were updated every 15 mins on the status of the departure/arrival time. Wasn't much confusion. Again the plane on my return was very clean. Crew was very nice and informative. Not sure what confusion is about bags from other reviews. Baggage prices are clearly stated on their website that's why the flights are so cheap. Snacks and drinks are not free ob the plane but you can buy those at kiosks after the security check point and bring it with you on the plane. If comfort is not you're number one priority than this airline works for you."

They changed the location of our baggage claim carousel with minimal notice, only to change it back to the original carousel with NO NOTICE. It took over an hour again for our luggage to come out and it trickled in so slowly, that I ended up getting my bag a full two and a half hours after we landed. Awful experience."

Also, the plane was delayed 45 minutes in departure and this delayed my arrival such that I missed an important family event (a wedding)."

The Frontier Baggage lady had no idea why and was not doing anything to get to the route of why it took so long. No only does it inconvenience all the passagers, but also the people who are having to pick us up. I will also choose to never fly frontier again after this experience."

It seemed like a bunch of high schoolers running an airline with the amount of professionalism one might expect from a pep rally. We seriously had concerns about the staff's competence at that point. The strange smell just prior to take off and the instruction to close our vents so the plane could take off didn't do much to reassure."

Still, if Spirit had taken the initiative to communicate the delay on the airport screens and over the speaker, it would have been appreciated."

An EMS responder was able to come and clear me but she wouldn't relent. When I refused to give her my identifying personal information she violated my privacy and looked off of the EMS responders form I had been working with WITHOUT MY CONSENT. She became very combative once I said I didn't have time to be interviewed by her and she made a report to all of spirit that I couldn't fly with them today (against responders clearance) and forced my passenger and I off a flight we had already checked our bags on. They refuse to even offer a partial Refund. NEVER FLYING SPIRIT AGAIN"

Arrived at the airport and asked a Spirit representative where to go if my flight was canceled. She laughed in my face and pointed me in the direction of another useless customer service rep. It is safe to say that this despicable airline will receive no more of my hard earned money, and I would advise anyone and everyone else to avoid Spirit at all costs."

Cons: "Spirit Airlines is perhaps the worst commercial airline out there, I'm surprised you list them on Kayak. From carry on fee, to no TSA precheck, or the worst of all, zero priority at the airport and the distinct possibility that your flight will be cancelled while all other airlines takeoff on time, I did everything I could do to get out of my ticket. On my way to the airport I called Spirit to ask why I couldn't enter my known traveler number but quickly hung up when I was warned that connecting with one of their personnel would cost me $25 - great customer service. After pleading with the ticketing agent in Atlanta I was lucky enough to be refunded the ticket price ($35+) and the bag fee ($45), and run to the Delta desk to buy a $360 one way ticket (worth every penny). I would love for Kayak to cover the difference in fare that I had to pay due in order to avoid the nightmare/death trap that I learned Spirit is, but at a minimum I feel Kayak should refund me the $9+ that they pocketed from this flight I was fortunate enough to avoid."
