Daily cleaning, installation of cabin HEPA filters on flights from Baltimore to Lyon
France has begun to ease its travel restrictions. As well as travelers arriving from states in the wider European area (EU, Andorra, Vatican City, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino and Switzerland) can enter without any COVID-19 restrictions, travelers may now enter France from Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay without any requirement to self-isolate, or to demonstrate their travel is essential.
UK travelers/non-EU and EEA nationals resident in the UK will not be permitted entry to France for non-essential purposes. Essential travel is still permitted. These restrictions do not apply to UK nationals who are legally resident in France. You will be allowed to re-enter the country, but may need to show proof of residence.
Exemptions exist for spouses and children of French nationals, long-term residents with French residence permits and their spouses and children, long-term residents of EEA Member States, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the Vatican City and their spouses and children on their way home, and healthcare professionals. Airline crew, personnel of diplomatic and consular missions and international organizations with offices in France and their spouses and children, and merchant seamen may also still enter. Mask wearing is obligatory for all travelers above the age of 11.
Travelers will need to complete a ‘sworn statement’ (déclaration sur l’honneur) form self-certifying they are not suffering from symptoms associated with COVID-19 and have not been in contact with confirmed cases in the preceding fortnight.
Travelers must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure. Children under the age of 11 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test result.
Foreign travelers who are not nationals of the above countries or arriving from one of the above countries are still restricted from entering France.
Travelers arriving from outside of the countries listed above must have an International Travel Certificate to enter and transit France, showing that their travel is of an "essential" nature. This must be obtained prior to departure via the French consular offices abroad or online at https://www.interieur.gouv.fr.
Travelers are subject to a 7-day isolation period and take another COVID-19 PCR test at the end of this period.
There are special regulations for travelers transiting through France to return to their country of residence. Only direct transit to reach your country of residence is permitted. Transiting travelers may not leave the international zone and will not be admitted to France. Luggage must be checked through to the final destination, and travelers will not be permitted to leave the international zone to collect and recheck baggage. The duration of transit must be less than 24 hours.

Cons: "The seat was very uncomfortable"
Pros: "Smooth flight, on-tome departure"

Cons: "Hassel about getting a visa to Cambodia. Refused to give me a boarding pass for 2nd and 3 rf leg of trip. Korean Air had no problems giving me yhe passes. Otter people had Delta boarding passes shivh they traded for Korran Aiir passes but the got better seats. Food was very good"

Cons: "I did not have the chance to choose my seat. I traveled sandwiched by two overweighted guys. I was holding my arms and was literally compressed by the gentlemen. Horrible experience. If I had the chance to choose my seat I would pick the corridor, and had a little less embarrassment and sweating."
Cons: "Delta staff is not too friendly"
Cons: "The re route to MSP... Seven hour flight time for a two and half hour flight..."
Pros: "Flights were on time boarding was easy. 2nd crew from ATLANTA was friendly."
Cons: "The foldable snack tray was broken on the flight to ATL."
Pros: "This trip into Merida was amazing from start to finish. Something was lost in translation with my handicap assistance in Atlanta, but the trip was lovely nonetheless."
Pros: "The crew was very nice and attentative."
Cons: "The amount of delays causing us to miss our connection and be stuck in another city for a night before getting to our destination the next day(hopefully)."
Cons: "There was a change in our flight. According to Delta you didn't confirm every leg of our flight and the plane was over booked."
Pros: "There was a threat in the airport which caused the closure of one terminal. It happened to be the one from which this flight was due to depart. The crew was calm and able to get everyone on board with a minimum delay, considering the circumstances. The flight crew made up some time in the air and we were able to land less than 30 minutes after our original ETA. Well done, Delta."
Pros: "Smooth and easy."
Cons: "Not applicable"
Cons: "The staff"
Pros: "I had to take a United flight last week for a short flight and once again I was reminded why I ALWAYS fly Delta if at all possible. United crew hid in the galley the whole trip wit lititle to no interaction with passengers. My flight today on Delta was great; food really excellent (Chicken Tika) and the crew was great as usual. Delta remains the best."
Pros: "Efficient boarding. Friendly service."
Pros: "The leg room and freedom of not having another seat in front of me throughout this flight was great. It made getting comfortable a lot easier."
Cons: "We couldn't hear the overhead announcements at all. Seated right next to the turbine intake on the wing made the amount of ambient noise especially high, so all the in-flight announcements were pretty much unintelligible."
Pros: "Good seat, easy on and off, everything went a little ahead of schedule and smooth"
Pros: "I was able to pick my own flight online easily."
Cons: "Lack of same day, 1 connection, first class seats. Had to fly out the next day because only middle seats left. Frustrating because I paid for first class and had no good choices for my departure day of choice."
Pros: "The crew were AMAZING and made the flight so much better. Boarding was easy. I also love that the pilot acknowledged the Service men and women on our flight."
Cons: "The older plan didn't have some of the perks that I expected from Comfort +... No conformed headrest, no USB plugs... I paid extra for Comfort + and expected some of these things."
Pros: "Great plane"
Pros: "Staff were courteous. Captain explained reason for delay."
Cons: "Over 20 minute delay to begin boarding with no explanation. Boarding process very slow due to excess carry ones needing to be checked."
Pros: "Upgrading to First Class made it worthwhile."
Cons: "As a minority provider of service at BWI, the gate was the furthest from the entry. Gate security is almost always a source of delay here."
Pros: "After the extremely long wait to check bags which made us miss the flight, the date crew got us in another flight...it wasn't direct which is what I paid for, but they did get us out, but i missed an interview because of the lack of crew and a missing luggage."
Cons: "Checking a bag, delta did not have enough crew to get everyone thru to their flights. We waited for 80 minutes inline to check a bag. Then we ran to the gate inky to find the gate was closed less than 2 minutes before we arrived. At least 20 others also missed the plane because of the lack of crew and long lines checking bags. It was frustrating, irritating, uncaring crew checking in, and a bit rude. Then on of my checked luggage was lost enroute - which made getting off the flights even later which made me miss a meeting that I was scheduled to be at. All because you didn't have the crew needed to check in."
Pros: "...the fact that they got us on the plane and back to GRR even though the connecting flight from BWI was delayed and there was little time to make that last flight out of DTW..."
Pros: "I haven't traveled by air for a number of years, it had gotten to be so crazy at checkin. Well imagine my surprise when I was checked in within five minutes of arriving at the airport. KAYAK took care of everything. All the flights were on time, I received email updates along the way and I am so happy I'm planning my next trip already."
Cons: "Even the babies in the waiting area were quiet on the flight, which leaves nothing for me to complain about at all."
Cons: "Larger plane. Had to crouch all the way to my seat. Seat was comfortable enough."
Cons: "British Airways but the flights were operated by American Airlines who I've always had terrible experiences with. This was no different. TOTAL NIGHTMARE"
Pros: "New plane"
Cons: "Boarding, no gate changes, no flight delays"
Pros: "Game of Throne as a boxset"
Cons: "if my return flight was by AA rather than another operator"
Pros: "The flight crew was pleasant!!!"
Pros: "It s american!"
Pros: "Very helpful crew."
Cons: "Too often the video screen I’m given doesn’t charge up and it has to be replaced mid flight. This happened again during this flight when 2 screens didn’t charge and had to be replaced before the movie ended. The crew was helpful, but this problem is annoying."
Cons: "No personal entertainment for an international flight."
Cons: "Flight was delayed & ultimately cancelled. Replacement flight required going to another airport. That flight too was delayed putting at risk our ability to make the BA flight to Lisbon. Therefore, we took AA flight to JFK and a TAP flight to Lisbon.did not take this flight."
Cons: "Delays departing delays connecting delays delays delays. Flight attendants were very pleasant."
Pros: "Flight was on time and not cancelled."
Cons: "AA does not consider USPHS Officers as military despite beer mg defines as such in the Servicemember Civil Relief Act. All to make a dollar."
Cons: "The fact that luckily we checked the night before and had to drive to philly to catch flight"
Pros: "The inflight wifi and entertainment was ok"
Cons: "Inconsistent gate staff. Happened twice to. Me in the recent trip where a multi flight journey the first leg my luggage was fine to get in board, the second flight it was tagged as too big. I've seen massive pieces of luggage go through no problem and then a random person is stopped to have their bags checked in."
Pros: "Great and safe"
Cons: "Lost the flight because of TSA who didn’t care I was missing the flight and gate personnel who didn’t allow me to get on board while the jet was still there. A nightmare and my luggages are still somewhere..."
Pros: "One of the flight attendants was nice."
Cons: "AA is now trying to save money (presumably) by doing like Delta: forcing half of us to connect in Charlotte. Unfortunately, the Charlotte airport is not ready to accommodate so many people. The airport looks like it is being renovated, which is fine, but there is no tape/cones to mark off the renovated areas from the walkways. You literally walk through dirt and construction sites. I didn't even think that was legal in the US?! Anyway, maybe it will be worth it once the renovations are complete, especially if AA is going to use it as a hub."
Pros: "Nothing special"
Cons: "BWI check-in crew is not friendly, not related to Japan Airline."
Pros: "Not at all"
Cons: "I made the reservation without knowing that Americans airlines has a boarding number 9 where you are NOT allowed any carry on. Awful lesson. You are given the worst seat and you cannot store any thing in the overhead compartment. Or there make you pay $60.."
Pros: "Not a thing plans got changed I had back surgery"
Cons: "That my plans got changed"
Pros: "Boarding was fast and smooth. The flight was great, seat was comfortable."
Pros: "The boarding process was quick and efficient."
Cons: "This plane did not feature TV at your seat. Only the overhead TV"
Cons: "For some reason they changed my seat."
Pros: "Wonderful flight. arrived 15 minutes early. crew pleasant."
Cons: "Inadequate overhead baggage space."
Pros: "Crew and actual flight were great but something was broken on the rear air conditioning unit. It was a full flight and 86F in Dallas and 77F in Columbia. I was seated in rear of the plane very very hot with all the people on the plane. I felt it was difficult to breath once we were on the ground in como. We were at the gate and everyone stood up to get off but the doors remained closed for awhile. It seemed to get even hotter."
Cons: "Crew was great and the flight was smooth."
Pros: "The crew were wonderful! Everyone was polite and accommodating. The entertainment available was on point. The food was both tasty and offered often."
Cons: "The seat were ok. There was not enough legroom, but honestly no airline has enough unless its business of first class. The Wi-Fi availability was misleading, though it did not advertise that it was free."
Pros: "Crew is usually very nice"
Cons: "Customer service is horrible. No tvs on the seats, no entertainment shown no options for snack except hummus privacy is no concern to American"
Pros: "Comfortable and smooth"
Pros: "Very nice in flight staff"
Cons: "Wifi was spotty at best. No charging options"
Cons: "Flight was cancelled and we were never notified!"
Pros: "Puntuality in both fly's"
Cons: "More options with first class food"
Cons: "Plane was delayed due to a mechanical in Charlotte (Old USAir Airbus) then ground stop due to weather after it finally got to Baltimore. Loaded us up and then deplaned us. They brought out water and sodas while we waited. Then reboarded and got into Charlotte about three hours late. Lots of very unhappy people. They passed out 800 numbers to rebook. A lot of people missed connections."
Pros: "Crew was as communicative as possible about the delay process. Answered questions and suggested solutions for travelers who were affected by the delay."
Cons: "The maintenance crew delayed the flight by over an hour because they were not able to get a technician to the plane until an hour after the scheduled takeoff time."
Pros: "Everything was perfect."
Cons: "The worst airline. Poor customer setvice and every single fligt was delayed and they offered nothing."
Pros: "The flight was cancelled and they refused to pay for my hotel and food. They finally paid for the hotel but not food."
Pros: "Ended up leaving earlier than scheduled."
Cons: "American Airlines holding open seats until right before the flight leaves."
Pros: "Flight was fine"
Cons: "Gate in Miami wasn't ready and we sat for 45 minutes until they opened a gate for us to deplane. Ridiculous."
Cons: "The first leg was cancelled and no one maee me aware of this and no additioaal flights were placed for this leg of the flight.. Kayak said it is British Airways fault and of course BA stated it was Kayak's fault. I donkt think i will be using Kayak anymore, becuase of the way this matter was dealt. I am also planning to contact bebber businness bureau for this as well."
Cons: "Diverted to OKC due to weather in Dallas, missed connecting flight and they couldn't get us on the last flight out"
Pros: "I'm completely satisfied"
Cons: "We arrived at 3pm for our 545pm flight. Once we arrived at the gate, we were notified the aircraft would be coming in late (10-15) due to tech issues. The AA staff was aware the plane had mech issues and decided to board us anyways. After 45 mins of sitting and waiting around in our seats, the pilot preceded to ask us to deplane the aircraft. AA gave us a lousy food voucher and booked us on the next available flight to Miami which wasn't until 1145pm! AA crew/staff handled the situation in a disappointing manner. The AA crew at the gate spoke in a condescending manner as if were young kids! I was appalled by that! I will not be flying AA anytime soon!"
Cons: "They could not find a flight for me until Sunday, two days later and are working on finding something sooner. Supposed to arrive last night which was Friday."
Pros: "Quick boarding"
Pros: "Great crew!! Super nice"
Pros: "Quick flight. Dlient Service in check-in was excellent, she went the extra mile to change my return flight to a more reasonable time."
Pros: "Entertainment options"
Cons: "My wife’s screen did not work. The pitch between the seats was too narrow for a transatlantic flight. Older plane that needed to be cleaned and updated."
Pros: "Very good service"
Cons: "Rough air"
Pros: "Overnight flight so slept. Flight attendants were friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Cramped seating. No entertainment."
Pros: "Once on the flight, everything went well."
Cons: "Real nightmare as I had booked YUL-LYS-BRU with Brussels Airlines (SN). YUL-LYS was operated with Air Canada. Came within 4 minutes of missing flight despite being at airport 3 hrs early. SN had not released ticket to Air Canada so they could not check me in. Had to call SN customer service after AC could not check me in, then wait and wait as they had to try to correct the mistake 3x before AC counter could issue boarding passes. Terrible experience going through this with 2 small kids waiting. It’s as if the two airlines’ systems don’t communicate but passenger is responsible for resolving."
Pros: "We have been using Premium Economy on various airlines I’ve the last several years for our frequent travel between the USA and destinations in Europe and Asia. The Air Canada experience was one of the very best (along with Lufthansa). The entertainment system was superior, food was great, service was attentive and comfort was as anticipated. The availability of power for iPads and computers was more than sufficient. I’m sure that a lot of the satisfaction came from flying on a Dreamliner but Air Canada is still at the top in our minds (and future plans)."
Cons: "The only complaint would be that the cabin was quite cold on our return trip. I could have been better prepared myself so I need to take most of the blame. The cabin crew did take steps to adjust the temperature but it would be unreasonable to expect the aircraft to meet the comfort expectations of every passenger. Next time I will just bring a light weight hoodie."
Pros: "Great Service."
Pros: "We arrived safely"
Pros: "The food and service were very good."
Cons: "The entertainment system is a bit outdated and had to be rebooted more than once. But this was only a minor inconvenience."
Cons: "no entertainment"
Pros: "Friendly staff, scent collection of media on offer."
Cons: "Size of the seats, baggage fees, insulting attitude of the baggage check in staff in MTL."
Pros: "courteous, helpful cabin crew on-flight entertainment gave abundant options"
Cons: "flight delayed because departure gate usurped by a Virgin America flight. inadequate seating area; too few seats; passengers boarding VA flight entered through seating area instead of directly."
Pros: "Nothing stood out as being too great. I was too pissed off from the delay to really notice any good."
Cons: "We were delayed about 2.5 hours. Ridiculous."
Pros: "The overall process was painless and the flight was cheap"
Cons: "Seats were very close to the seat in front of you. If you're over 6 foot 1 inch don't fly with them."
Pros: "The flight crew were wonderful to interact with and really helpful in accommodating my disabilities. Dinner was mediocre but at least some was available, which I didn't expect on an overnight flight starting after dark. ("Breakfast" was a slice of really tasty banana bread but nothing else.) I really appreciated the presence of outlets and USB ports for charging electronic devices, and that the seats had adjustable headrest flaps. These are essential features on long flights!"
Cons: "It's almost impossible to sleep in economy class seats, even with the adjustable headrests. I recognize that economy is supposed to be the "no frills" class of travel but sleep is not a luxury. Sleep is a basic human need, like food and oxygen. I don't actually believe that offering better accommodations for everyday passengers (off whom the bulk of airline profits are made) is financially unfeasible or unreasonable."
Pros: "The plane was comfortable, the boarding easy, the flight pleasant, good views."
Cons: "Plane employees did not explain what the declaration card was meant to serve. I left mine on the plane by mistake, partly due to complete ignorance of its purpose. Please either put the purpose on the card or have your flight staff explain what passengers will need the card for, once they get to the next inspection point. Don 't take this for granted!! The long walk from the point of deplaning to the center of Pearson Airport was unexpected."
Cons: "Crew was late and did not apologize. they were also rude during service"
Pros: "The Air Canada staff in Austin was wonderful. The flights from Ottawa to Toronto and back were fine."
Cons: "Problems that were, to be sure, not entirely the airline's fault. The trip from Toronto to Austin was delayed because someone had taken the flight attendant's bag from the overhead. We had to wait until either the bag was recovered or a new flight attendant was brought in. On the return flight, the first officer had ruptured her eardrum, and the plane could not leave Austin until a new pilot was flown in from Toronto. It took hours for the airline to arrange for hotel rooms. The airline then offered vouchers when we arrived in Toronto, but their representative brought enough for only about 2/3 of the passengers."
Pros: "The airport had no lines, security was fast and easy."
Cons: "Air Canada employees are rude and inconsiderate. Terrible experience. When I asked for help I was handed a card to call customer support. I was hung up on and missed my flight. Had to pay for a rental car and hotel and missed a day of work. I'm still stuck in the Fort Lauderdale airport 15 hours my flight departed. Never flying Air Canada again."
Pros: "Getting off the plane."
Cons: "They didn't give out free nuts/pretzels. The entertainment system was off for half the flight even through they said it would reboot in 10 minutes. Loading the plane was the slowest I have ever seen."
Pros: "Smooth flight"
Cons: "Some of the crew is not friendly."
Pros: "The gate crew was instrumental in helping us board our flight when the first leg was delayed and or connection time was only 30 minutes."
Cons: "Of all the international airlines I have flown, this was by far the least well equipped for a long haul flight. There was no entertainment (we had to download an app to your personal device beforehand, which we were not informed about until already onboard). There were iPads for rent, but not nearly enough for the number of passengers requesting. The dinner was a good size, but there were no additional snacks, only small sized drinks offered, and alcohol was not complimentary, and a smaller size than what's provided while in N America for the same price. Overall, I was quite unimpressed with Air Canada, and will avoid flying with them in the future, when possible."
Pros: "The smoothness with which the pilot flew the plane was remarkable. I felt very safe."
Cons: "1) For a four hour flight it's sad that we were not even offered a snack we didn't have to purchase. After being delayed for more than 2 hours many of the passengers were hungry by the time we boarded. 2) The flight attendant passed my row without offering me a drink and when I asked I was given room temperature apple juice and not given any ice."
Pros: "entertainment system was pretty good"
Cons: "Air Canada generally charges too much and jacks up their prices way too much."
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "Felt like spam in a can."
Pros: "Got to spend the night in Toronto unexpectedly."
Cons: "Due to Air Canada's I missed my flight to Amsterdam. I missed out on a day of sightseeing and having fun and Amsterdam instead I spent a day in Toronto. I was able to get on a flight 24 hours later. This missing connection happens routinely with Air Canada, for some reason they have not managed to fix the error."
Cons: "Missed the flight"
Cons: "Three hour delay. Getting into Atlanta at 2:00am"
Cons: "I was sent to Frankfurt because Air Canada messed up my flight. When I got to Frankfurt, they had booked me on a lufthansa flight. When I got to the gate to get a boarding pass, the person told me that Air Canada had not paid them for the flight and unless they were able to contact them before boarding the plane, I would not be able to get in. They were able to do so right before boarding. The plane from Frankfurt was over one hour late. I was supposed to arrive in Lyon at 10:35am and got there at 7:30pm. Throughout all this ordeal, Air Canada staff members were mostly unhelpful and often rude."
Cons: "They messed up my mobile checkin making me miss my flight and then had thenough nerve to try to make me pay a 80$ change fee to take the next flight that was 100$ cheaper than my original. Waiting for a refund! I had to take American Airlines home. I will never flying with them again!"
Pros: "service staff were nice"
Cons: "didn't like that bags cost USD25 extra. USD10 should be the cost."
Pros: "Nice flight attendants"
Cons: "In flight entertainment wasn't working on my seat."
Pros: "Friendly crew members"
Cons: "There was more kids then adults in the plane. The food was terrible, surged too late for a flight to a muslin country with almost everyone fasting on board. Once it was served, left side of the plane was served first while kids on the right side claming their meals and not understanding why they are not getting any. The bathrooms were dirty. No screens on board. The seats bead some upholstery work."
Pros: "Entertainment system worked well. Only watched one movie so not sure in selection. Nice to find entertainment included in the ticket price."
Cons: "Plane was 50 minutes late leaving Toronto, luggage took between 30 to 40 minutes to come out at Vancouver airport. Three flights were assigned to one carousel, while a nearby carousel had only one flight assigned to it and was not yet in use, presumably because the flight had not arrived and another nearby carousel was broken. Why not have at least one other flight use the unused, working carousel?"
Cons: "Flight was delayed for over 4 hours due to Air Canada fault, no crew at the gate to provide updates, forced to gate check all carryons, missed connection AND rebooked connection. Canada was lovely, too bad I can't say the same about Air Canada."
Cons: "Was not told a transit visa was necessary to fly through Canada. Denied boarding in Nairobi on way over and had to book on another airline."
Pros: "Love the free coffee dispenser in the aiport! Staff very friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Left a few min late"
Cons: "AIR CANADA charged departure time after original reservation was made for our return trip to a later time that was inconvenient that resulted in a hardship driving for ( senior citizens) arriving home after a 4 hour drive from the airport to Ocala, FL.home arriving at 1 AM."
Cons: "We were delayed because the plane was late from Toronto, and were told this when we all began to check in up front. When the staff finally did come to the desk at the gate, they still maintained (and rather rudely to some of the other passengers) that the plane would be there by 7-- turns out the plane got there about 7:30, rebooking flights that were going to be missed was like pulling teeth for some of the passengers, and we took off about 8 (1 hr 40 mins late)."
Cons: "Flight to TOR was delayed due to multiple maintenance issues on >1 aircraft in TOR, so it didn't leave for BWI until past the original departure time. Needless to say, we missed our connection to Paris. Agents were great in re-ticketing us thru LHR to CDG, gave us info on who to talk to to get bags realigned, went to that agent who said system would automatically update the bags. Upon arrival in Paris, bags were not there, will arrive on the flight today from TOR. Since we're going to Normandy we are driving out to CDG, to pick up bags versus waiting at the apartment for a delivery."
Pros: "Lax was fast and efficient really enjoyed the speed and organization of the airport, the staff and crew were really helpful and friendly"
Cons: "The plane was a noisy piece of junk, with absolutely No leg room, those airbus planes are horrible, and their was melted chocolate all over the seat"
Pros: "Overall the flight was good. The crew was informative and attentive."
Cons: "Meals were tiny and tasted like they were prepared in a lab, not a kitchen."
Pros: "service was excellent, and everyone was so great and patient even though flights were cancelled and delayed."
Cons: "need more snacks!"
Pros: "The Air Canada crew were great."
