Cons: "How we were all told after most were ay the gate it was changed to a different gate once there we were told that it would be ay least 2hr late for maintenance. I'm handicapped couldn't get around that was time I could have spent with my family and I was Hungary snf needed to use the restroom which couldn't use until boarding. Very unprofessional I wouldn't give a better grade than a d'- not sure if I would use this airline again. At least we could have comped a free soda and chips. Since the airline new that was happening ahead of time and we could have made choice our selves what to doyou people charge for or fee for anything we might want to change but it's ok for you to treat us poorly sincerely Eugenio Cortez"
Pros: "I only enjoyed the funny pilot, otherwise I only enjoyed the extra time that I was able to spend with my fiancée while waiting for the delayed aircraft."
Cons: "There was no space in the seats, we were delayed three hours, the airline is unorganized. We were given a 15 dollar voucher but that doesn’t compensate for the uncomfortable feeling I heard during the time spent waiting."

Cons: "The flight was 60+ minutes late, due to another plane sitting on the runway. The other plane kept passengers sitting on the tarmac for over an hour. We were told the plane had mechanical problems. The waiting area was so crowded with people it was people standing all over the place...it turned out that 2 flights full of people were waiting there. When we finally boarded, the plane had to be refueled and the plane had to be started up by being jumped or something because one motor was not working normallly; this was a bit frightening. Staff was not even smiling, or even comforting when we boarded. Brief apology by pilot."

My second set of clothes for tomorrow came out of my bag because you get nickeled and dimed and then have to shove your " personal item(s) under your small seat...and iI am small ( 5'2 112 lbs)... now I do not have any clothes till I fly back home. I tried reaching Frontier- ni return call. I filled out form- nothing. I am honestly just so upset. I have never been in this situation and I do not know how to get my belongings returned."

We about expect to have to pay for the use of the restroom (not that we're making suggestions)! And there was no entertainment except what we ourselves had, so don't know why that's even on the questionnaire. We did pay extra for the leg room, but only because we were doing a 1 way flight and were so miserable the last time we flew with Frontier years ago. Wish they would go back to the way they were when they first started."

Cons: "I hope my concerns are viewed of your company's poor customer service and a policy you enforce without proper notification to your customers. In my arrival to check my bags for my flight is when I became aware of your 45 minute check in policy. If this is a policy you so strictly enforce, then it should also be just as strongly communicated to your customers. However the worst was the terrible customer service. The associates your company employ have no empathy for your customers and lack the proper respect for individuals that represent your company. I asked to speak with a manager who never showed up, after waiting 2 hours I was given an email address, which I did have to use to reach her. I lost the $179 I paid for a flight I missed, took time from work and didn't go on my trip."
Cons: "Frontier completely ruined my vacation. First flight to Denver cancelled. Second flight was over 5 hours late-had to book a hotel instead of being in our expensive and nonrefundable condo in Breckenridge. Paid for 5 nights in Breck-used it only 3 nights, skiied 2 days. Then our 7:15 flight back to Tampa was also late leaving in spite of my checking flight status when I got up at 4:30 to get shuttle to the airport. Never fly Frontier!!"

It's a shame that first free meals were done away with, and now you can't even get a free cup of coffee or snack. And the excuse that your fares are cheaper than Delta, or other airlines, does not compute, because I still paid almost as much as a Delta flight would have cost."

Cons: "Flight was late for boarding. No updates were given as to why or what was going on. The gate agent looked like she had a miserable day and did not offer a customer service attitude. Once on board the seat didn't recline and was hard as a rock, not ideal for a 4 hour flight. The flight attendant (Christine) was short tempered. Crew lacked basic soft skills. This was the first and I am pretty sure the last time I will fly on frontier. While I appreciate the low fares I did not expect the low level of customer service or all the extra fees that are tacked on for seats, checked bags and a drink onboard."

I got to witness an employee at the gate conning a man into paying for an additional carry-on insisting his bookbag counted as a bag he had to pay for....excuse me...your website states that if the bag can fit under the seat, then it is not a carry-on that needs to be paid for. His bag could have easily fit under the seat and this employee took complete advantage of the fact he didn't know this. This airline makes me sick with the fact they have the need to nickle and dime every cent they can out of their passengers. Oh, and by the way you have to pay for in-flight beverages....that means the normal sodas/water/coffee you're used to getting as a complimentary drink are also a way for this airline to get a couple more pennies out of you. It's a good thing for this company that they understand exactly where they can take advantage of people who don't always fly, because if people knew about all of these things upfront, this airline would surely lose a lot of people. If you're going to try and be the "cheaper" more "affordable" airline then do so with honesty, hint the quotations I had to put on the words cheaper and affordable. Thanks, but no thanks, you've lost at least one customer here."
Pros: "I liked that I could have a red eye from Denver to Florida. The pilots were excellent I couldn't even tell when we are taking off and when we had landed because it was so Smooth. The plane was very clean. The flight crew was courteous and mindful of the fact that people were going to be very tired on this red eye."
Cons: "The woman who first checked me in almost sent my bag to Orlando which was not my final destination. The company tried to charge me $35 for a carry-on and $30 for the checked bag. This company knows that people have to bring luggage on flights and they sell themselves on having the cheapest flights when in reality they are making money off of the fact that people have to bring luggage on a flight. The tray tables were ridiculously small. This seats are spaced really close together so even if you wanted to rest your head on the ridiculously small tray table you couldn't because the seat in front of you is so incredibly close to you."

Repeatedly, Customer stuck, but was trying to get set up in plenty of time before flight. The very nice people trying to help said, we cannot check you in. Did the button turn from green to blue, YES, then try again later. Really? No hurry, airline is customer service oriented, cough. Then called, 3 more almost impossible attempts to speak to a human. Tsk, Time waining, no pressure. Actually lots, Got to airport, tried to check in for boarding pass and inserted credit card after entering data. Nothing again, Oh, line at baggage claim filling up, but wait I'm way early, but still being stressed, next card works while both were good everywhere else. Thanks for asking for my opinion mechanism that does nothing or the process would have been easier form the start. oh and the one free carry on I paid $30 for cause rushed at the gate, have one on me! You have my permission to use this survey info to any paper will that will publish and help you. Ugh, thanks for stressing me mid vacation before I have to deal with you for trip home! Ugh, UGH, UGH! Thanks to the machine that processes my fact filled response!"

When booking the flight we were looking for a reasonable price which we found with frontier, not reading the fine print they charged us for carry on bags. We ended up checking bags which cost us another $140. Along with this frustration, the seats are horribly uncomfortable and the amount of leg room is ridiculous. I understand maximizing out seats but this was way over the top. I will not be flying Frontier again"
Cons: "Both trips to and from were delayed over an hr. The trip to Denver was worse cause it ruined my next day because i was so tired from lack of sleep. I had two carry ons but didnt pay a dime cause i refused to when checking in. It was worth the risk of getting caught and then acting dumb. Everything was ok besideds the 6 hrs of delay time and the airline trying to trick me to pay for carry ons.l through the check in process. Just dont pay it and right in with your carry ons."

You have to pay for everything. I will pay for Southwest next time. The flight, after all the extra charges, was more expensive than the Southwest flight. I am very disappointed."
Cons: "I had a carry on that I always fit under my seat on other airlines and I put this carry on in the sizing container at check in only to be told it was a little bit too large because it didn't fall right into the container. I was then told I needed to pay $60 for the carry on bag, which was the cost of my whole round trip flight. The seats were also very uncomfortable."

Cons: "If I didn't have a military ID then I would have been upset about having to pay for a carry-on. Also, the seats have basically zero padding and don't recline, makes a 4 hour trip a little less bearable. And in the spirit of the airline saving money they are not a part of the TSA precheck, which sucks. I get that they are trying to save cash and thus make your trip cheaper, but they are apparently springing unexpected costs such as seats, drinks, bags, ect. If I had a shorter flight I'd fly them again, but I'd probably kick up the extra cash for a "normal" airline with comfier seats."

No drinks or snacks unless you have a credit/debit card to buy a soda and snack for 2 bucks, seats seem smaller and the "snack" tray was smaller than a book. But I guess since they don't offer drinks and snacks with your ticket you really don't need that tray. I had to purchase this ticket due to a death in my family and it was the least expensive, but if I had a choice it would have been with Southwest Airlines. At least they still make you feel human."

Was not given a a boarding pass for second portion of my flight. 4. Seats don't lean back so was not able to rest very well. 5. Bright floresecent lights inside plane unpleasant and also made it difficult to rest. 6. Certain staff were short and unfriendly."

I understand the mission of Spirit but when someone purchases a 1 stop or more trip it can be very costly! Because of this, my flight was no longer cheaper than any other airline that didn't charge for carry on bags."

Cons: "TSA precheck. My reservation indicated it was entered, but it didn't print on the ticket. When I brought this to the attention of Spirit CSRs, The answer was "Yeah, sometimes it does that." Unacceptable. TSA precheck is a convenience for passengers and, more importantly, an added level of security for TSA personnel. Prechecked passengers have already been background screened. These passengers are known safe entities in an uncertain security environment. Each person prechecked is one less security threat TSA needs to assess, meaning TSA can focus more effort on potential threats. Denying a precheck customer precheck status makes everyone's life more difficult. Fix your system, then train employees on how to appropriately deal with these issues."
Pros: "Once I boarded and found MY seat actually there, right where it was supposed to be, and we departed early, pleasant attendants (way nicer and knowledgeable than on-line booking crew!), uncrowded plane, no frantic, rude rush to get us through snack service, early arrival, uncomplicated, speedy disembarking, maybe, just maybe , I'll fly Spirit again. Now that I know all the ropes, rules, fine-print, etc.I'll price to see if it's really worth the drive to TIA, the parking expense, all the add-ons, or if it's easier and less agita just to leave from SRQ, my down-the-street airport and maybe just a few $$ more."

I just read some reviews: people are rude loud and angry because of your online process I know you claim bare costs, but we are still giving you our hard-earned miney. We do it because we cant fly first-class (-$$$-) so dont make us feel like we are settling for steerage. It's a lot of money to us!"

When it was well past the scheduled start of boarding I checked my email and realized that they had changed the gate. Walked to the other and boarded immediately. An announcement at the original gate should have been made."
Cons: "I was running late because I got out of work late and then there was unusually terrible traffic from DC to Baltimore mid-day. The website wouldn't work to check in, the phone line had a 2 hour wait.. so I got to the airport 45 minutes before the flight was supposed to leave and I couldn't check in at the kiosk. By the time I waited in line, they wouldn't check me in with 30 minutes before the flight left, even though it was mid day so the security lines were short and I had TSA pre-check. The customer service agent, the manager and the manager's supervisor were all rude and unhelpful. The only flight was the next day, so they wouldn't re-book on any other airline.. so I was left to go buy another ticket from American as I had to be in Minneapolis that night. I don't recommend Spirit out of Baltimore to anyone."

Cons: "After boarding the flight was delayed for a mechanical issue for almost an hour. It did not give me confidence about the overall safety of the plane that they found a serious mechanical issue at the last second before the plane was going to take off."

Cons: "-The fees quickly added up to the same as other comparable flights. -We had booked two evening flights, both of which were rescheduled several times, then cancelled - pushing flights to the next day. -Please keep in mind that if they cancel your flight you are entitled to full refund of all amounts paid. -After refunding $900 in expenses, Spirit charged a $150 cancellation fee and some $40 strange fee. These amounts should not have been taken out for a refund when the airline is at fault and after some hassle, they refunded the full amount. -When you value your time, do not fly Spirit."

Cons: "1. Lack of sufficient notice about flight cancellation. The notice was sent about 1:30 AM on Monday 6/3/17 for the 8:20 AM flight. Consequently I went to the airport and found out there is no flight. 2. It took 2 hours to get to the counter to get an alternate flight, which was 12 hours passed the scheduled arrival time at my destination. 3. Give sufficient notice for routine cancellations. 4. Reimburse the passengers for the total loss of time and hardships experienced for the very long delays."

Cons: "I was threatened with hostility of 2 Spirit Crew members. I feel sick and disgusted with the treatment. I stood up to go to the bathroom, we were at cruising altitude. I turned to go to the back bathroom and was snapped at by a blonde female flight attendant. She said "SIR SIT DOWN". Without giving me 2 seconds to apologize, a 2nd tall male crew member barked, "WE WILL GET THE FAA TO FINE YOU RIGHT NOW IF YOU DON'T COMPLY". I felt hurt, and sat down immediately. I was in no way trying to be aggressive, rude, it was a pure honest mistake that the seatbelt sign was still on. I would have happily sat down and said sorry the first time but I was verbally attacked. During the flight, I overheard the female blonde pilot complaining personally about how she individually didn't like certain passengers for their nationalities. I can go into further detail as I have the names of the crew members."

Then I figured that the seat belt was socked and the seat was wet. I asked the crew to change a seat but got denied even there were plenty of empty seats. Extra fee for check-in luggage, for carry-on luggage... Nothig water available for a 6-hr flight. The crews chat to each other very loudly without any service. would rather not choose this airline any not."

Myers to grab a quick bite to eat and upon returning to same plane with printed boarding passes and assigned seats our boarding passes did not scan correctly. At this time there was about 30 or so people behind us to board as there was plenty of time. We were asked to step aside and a employee was trying to figure things out. In the meantime ALL people in line were allowed on plane even though several had problems but were quickly fixed! At last second we were told to board the plane and try to find two seats. Only one was left on flight and we were told they had to leave and sorry but we must exit plane! Worst I have ever been treated by an airline ever in all my years of travel! I did get some money compensation, rented a car and drove 13 hours to Chicago! Awful way to end a vacation!"

Cons: "I was schocked to have to pay $110 for my carry on! This was th worst news I had on my vacation!I'm a senior citizen living on a fixed income. This charge is totally uncalled for! It poses no issue with other passengers, the airline provides no service for this, why is there a charge for this? It's absolutely a complete ripoff to the customer and a cash cow for the airline! Then a charge of $3 for a cup of coffee? This airline offers NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all! Because of these outrageous charges, I will not due any future business with this airline! As a senior citizen I believe I should receive a complete refund of the baggage charge!"
Pros: "Totally so mad at check in on line 24 hours ahead of time - found out one piece of checked bags is $40, a carry on was another $20 and seat assignement was yet another fee. All this after buying a ticket! We had no idea there were so many other fees. The airport was was out of our way and we only booked the flight because the fare was lower. When we found at AT CHECK IN, 24 hours ahead of time about all the extr fees, we rebooked on another airline and said forget this airline, what a rip off! Never again will book this airline with all those hidden fees. It was excessive and not mentioned till check in. Bad business model!!"
Pros: "It was really, really cheap. Less than half of every other Dec 26 flight's cost."
Cons: "The terrible lines. The line to check my bag was horribly long-- even after the attendants made a line just for flights to my destination. There were just too few attendants working for how many customers needed to check bags or check in. Additionally, the seats were super small-- we were packed in like sardines. No amount of finagling or shifting would prevent me from touching either of my neighbors, even though I paid for extra leg room. And then you wanted to CHARGE for a CUP OF WATER. Not even a full bottle! I'm surprised you didn't charge for ice! All in all, I'm very disappointed. Won't be taking Spirit again."

If youre going to charge such outrageous amounts for carry on bags you should make it clearly known when people book. I feel a bit ripped off."

Cons: "I had 2 tickets booked for Boston on November 17th at 5:58pm. I tried to check in online for both travelers, but according to Spirit Airlines website, you cannot check 2 tickets from the same account. When I arrived at BWI airport and went to the Spirit Airlines desk the lady told me that the flight is closed even though it was still not boarding time yet. I explained to her what happened and asked for cooperation, but she just kept repeating that flight is closed and next flight is in 2 days, which I couldn't wait for, because of the scheduled appointments that I had in Boston. In general the service was terrible and the website platform didn't work right. I had tk pay $250 dollars for last minute ticket while I already lost the money for the first two tickets."

Pros: "The price is right for the base fare, but Spirit gets you with all the extra fees. Baggage cost is very high, and higher at the airport if you don't 'pre-purchase' bags to check online. The weight allowance for checked bags is only 40 pounds with massive fees for heavier bags, and they charge for carry on, too. Checking just one 30 pound bag doubled my total cost of flying, and it would have been more if I hadn't pre-purchased. They even charge for water on the plane, which I find really bad. Maybe it's just me, coming from Australia where you're legally required to provide free water, but this rubs me up the wrong way. They also charge if you need agent assistance to check in at the airport. The staff were all very polite and friendly, and the overall experience was fine, but the extra fees do NOT make it worth it. It makes the guests feel unwelcome and each extra step and extra charge makes the whole experience more stressful and complicated. You could pay a slightly higher base fare with United, for example, but probably save money with more generous baggage/check-in procedures, and have a worry-free experience, too. The staff were great; it's the company policies I have a problem with."

Cons: "This is my 4th bad experience with Spirit (I'm a glutton for punishment). I've yet to have a flight that was on time...something is usually broken on the plane (very nice to hear before boarding...if you board at all). It may seem like a great idea to lock in a great rate for the initial flight, but after fee upon fee...it just turns into an uncomfortable flight next to Bob who is complaining the whole time about his FIRST experience. I keep thinking I'll give them another try, but unfortunately this was my last attempt. Catch ya on the other side, Spirit."
Cons: "Nothing is complimentary, all snacks and drinks for purchase are inexcusably expensive when other companies provide for free, hefty fee for checked bags and carry-on 40-50$ paid to and from which makes up the difference for their cheap flights (not much cheaper than JetBlue or American) my luggage was left in the city I was visiting and when I asked for a refund for my returning checked bag fee, I was denied because I paid cash at check-in and it wasn't on my reservation (obviously I had paid to have it flown because it was supposed to go on board). All in all terrible experience and not worth the 25$ travel voucher I received--which doesn't even cover cost of luggage 1-way--because I'll honestly never fly spirit again."
Pros: "I received a phone call from Spirit representative John who left a message stating that my departure flight time has changed and to call back. Upon vsll back I spoke with s female (did not get her name) who told me there will be s two hour delay, flight leaves Baltimore at 9:24 pm. Also told me to go back to website to print nee boarding pass and there will not be a 2 nd charge for the seat. When I logged back in around 6:40pm, (extended my workday so I didn't wait around at the terminal), there were no changes to the original departure time for the flight. So, I called Spirit again, spoke with Todd - I'D#41987 who said, no - flight 443 leaves at 7:42pm! Hence, I requested s refund and cancelled. There was no way that I could get to the airport in time for the flight. I didne request a Saturday morning flight because at that point, I lost total faith that there wouldn't be issues on the return flight from Florida. I will never, NEVER again make any travel plans that include Spirit. All they are interested in is signing people up for the credit car offering bonus fly poinft??? Duh!"

Cons: "Flight was delayed for so long, that when we factor in the time that it toke to wait plus the two hours that I had to show up in advance plus the 45 minutes that I had to wait for my luggage, it would have been more convenient to drive From ATL To Tampa, The reason given was that there was no crew to flight the Plane, I missed the meeting I was supposed to be attending, so, I ended up just flying to Tampa For the pleasure that it is to fly in Spirit where they nickle and dime you for every single thing even if your flight is delayed for the same length of time it would take you to drive to your destination."

Cons: "My flight that was supposed to be only two hours from Baltimore to Atlanta never happened. Upon arrival to check my bag, a mere twenty minutes after receiving an "on time" email from the airline, they canceled the flight. Not delayed, straight up canceled it. The next flight offered to me would be two days later arriving late Saturday night and with a layover. Their customer service was terrible, no one cared that they were putting so many people out from families to single travelers. It was nuts. I eventually got a refund and flew out the next day on a different airline, vowing to never book with Spirit again."
