Boarding area was a scrum, instead of a line. Audio selections are poor. The necessity or pre-ordering food is a hassle. Flight was delayed because of human error, not because of weather or mechanical issues.

Pros: "Service and overall cleanliness etc. was very smooth, good and clean. I sat in seat 1A both ways and as the first person to get on and off the flight found the process well laid out, easy, clean and smooth. I also got to witness the boarding process from inside while seated. Very professional and courteous all the way. The first class cabin was sparsely filled with ample space between us and based on how many people I saw getting on, I think the rear cabin must've been sparsely filled as well. More on the comfort aspect in the "what would have been bettter section" ... in short, the seats are the weakest link in the chain."
Cons: "My only gripe is about the seats fitted in first class for this Alaska Air leg (JFKSFO). Like most, my travel frequency has dropped so much that I can finally afford to pay full fare first for the few times I do need to travel. I expect that this will more likely be the norm than not and hope/expect that more among us who can afford to pay extra for the additional comfort, do so. The airline industry will need to keep that segment to get ahead of this seismic shift in travel patterns that 2020 has brought upon all of us. I was hoping to just sleep through it. I normally sleep well/easily on flights (at times, "too well"!) but could not do so on this leg. The seats in first class are just not meant for sleeping and are thus limited in their positioning ... brief napping is the best you can do - carry your entertainment/work or plan on meditating while fully awake. The base is for all intent and purposes, immovable (maybe a couple of inches back and forth at best). There is no concept of a foot rest in the design. The back locks into one of two positions - a vertical one for take-off/landing and a second one tilted about 15 degrees or so. That makes it impossible to stretch the body out while fully supported - so hard to go into relaxed/deep sleep for those who wish to do so. The front passenger seat of a common car offers more for a five hour road trip - something to ponder on, eh? Upgrade the seats ...the extra investment will pay for itself quickly in this age of reduced travel as you'll attract more of those who are lucky to be able to pay a little more to fly in comfort for the few times that they need to. Additionally, sleeping passengers are often the easiest/cheapest to service!"

At landing several people appeared desperate to deplane, perhaps to make connections but no one assisted them. There were also passengers from the rear of the plane up and in the aisle immediately which just causes tension and friction for those still seated. That’s when I want to and did say something to certain individuals and made them wait. But this is the flight crew’s responsibility, not the passenger’s."

On a red eye, things usually get quiet after an initial drink service. And they even said it was going to, but that was a lie. I was in an aisle seat and got knocked by drink carts rolling past on at least 3 occasions, and they would talk without even trying to stay quiet. ALL NIGHT LONG. I definitely didn’t sleep, which is usually pretty easy for me. I fly a lot of red eyes and have gotten used to getting to sleep on the plane, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had."

The comfort was excellent
Delta does a great job in general. However, the “Comfort+“ seats weren’t worth the money. I sat in both seats, and I compared the width of the seats and the distance from the seat edge to the back of the seat in front of it. There was a difference of about 2” in the seat width and 1” in the leg room. Very disappointing.
Some passengers weren’t wearing masks or were wearing them below their noses, and I think there could have been general announcements reminding them about that.
Same comment as before. Should not be part of skyteam. Alitlia is way below standard for that group of stellar airlines. Staff is unfriendly, delivers poor service and do not make you feel welcome on board. Food is good. Only water not other drinks available. No garbage college during flight or before landing. Entertaining is so so and the bathrooms are dirty.

This was the Delta Shuttle flight (operated by Republic Airways (therefore not a mainline flight)). The crew was exceptional in expediting boarding, accommodating customers, and politely dealing with “difficult” passengers (don’t be that passenger - it’s a 40 minute flight). Great flight overall.
I like that I got to my destination safely.
Everyone is doing their best, but travel sucks! Mask wearing is necessary but odious. The worst thing is the toilets on 767s are so cramped that you cannot see where the trash is without crouching down or being a pigmy, so people leave their towels by the sink!
The entertainment unit not work. It kept freezing up, the map kept moving around to other parts of the globe, so,e functions didn't operate at all. Finally less than halfway through the flight the unit froze up all together and was completely unusable. Also, the seat wasn't able to recline as the button on the seat was completely missing!

Landed in JFK, still sucks as an airport, nobody helps, nobody explains anything, very poor signs and instructions, Global Entry kiosk are hard to spot. My connection ticket didn't have the TSA/PRECHECK legend, went to AliItalia counter, the lady at AliItalia barely said anything when I asked for help with that, her immediate answer was to disengage and sent me to another terminal "to talk to Delta". She didn't explain or didn't want to give an explanation until I started to act as an already 9hr30min flight frustrated customer in a very old, very poor plane with poor food service. Again, I bought an over $1,000 ticket with DELTA, NOT ALIITALIA, if Delta send people with their "partners" at least make sure that they are taken care of properly."

The associate who helped check my bag on the tarmac was kind. I was grateful that my luggage had a hard shell case."

This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

I slept in the airport because i couldnt find a hotel to spend the night close to the airport. They were all full and i had no time to find one since I was waiting there for 3 hours with no informational. I slept on the floor and delta didnt even offer us a blanket. That was my worst trip ever."
Pros: "Boarding in St Thomas is always a mess, no matter what airline you fly. I usually fly Delta because the planes are clean and the people are nice. Well this time the staff went well above and beyond. My friend and I were sitting in the front row of seats in the lounge at the airport, facing the Delta gates. There was a mob of people milling about between us and the gate, so we could not see very well, but we thought we had a clear view of the door. Also it was very loud in the terminal. The flight had a delay, so we were relaxing and chatting, when I got a text from my mom asking if I was on the plane. So I went to the counter to inquire if they had started boarding our flight. The lady looked at me with surprise and said, "We have been paging you!!". Well we were both surprised! We had not heard anything over the general din in the airport. It turns out they had completed boarding and already rolled the stairs away from the plane! The ground staff talked to the captain and then they rolled up a set of stairs, opened the door to the plane, and let us on! The flight attendants said that they had never seen that happen before. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the crew at Delta for going the extra mile to make sure we made it on our flight."

If they had messaged even 30 mins earlier, we could have rescheduled our cab and slept at the hotel given we were on 2 hours sleep. We received the text 3 minutes before we arrived at the airport and tried to sleep on benches as the front desk kept delaying the boarding time by 20 minutes 4 times, each time exactly at the previously extended ETD, which is far more frustrating than if they had just extended it once by 80 minutes so we could legitimately relax."

Cons: "While my experience with Virgin Australia was good, I will not book with them due to the co-share with Delta Airlines. I missed my connecting flight from LAX to JFK due to additional security screening. As such I was advised to head to the Delta terminal to be booked onto the next available flight to NYC. After waiting over an hour in line to be seen by a staff member, I was told that they couldn't change my ticket as it was a Virgin flight. The same staff member didn't seem to even understand the concept of 'co-share', and also told me that because I booked through Kayak and not Delta that they could not help me. This makes me think that booking through a third party is a risky move. I was told there was absolutely nothing she could do, and that I would have go to a Virgin Australia Counter. This involved taking all of my luggage from Terminal 5 - all the way to Terminal 3. I was assisted by Virgin Australia, where they apologized for my experience, and confirmed that it was Delta's responsibility (and that they were capable) of rebooking my flight. Virgin booked me onto a later flight, but I still had to walk back to Terminal 5 (Delta) to give them my checked luggage. I was once again told that I didn't have the right ticket (details listed Virgin and Delta flight number - so this was way too confusing for them). Finally they printed my a boarding card and took my bags. I then ran through security and to gate in time for my flight. Flight was fully booked, due to a many people no doubt experiencing the same thing. Food was awful. Was a big step down from the Virgin flight in every aspect. There was not a single Delta Staff member who would even try to understand or be helpful. I will never fly with Delta again."

Long, unorganized boarding process. Attendants just allowed everyone to gather in front of the doors so rude passengers pushed their way to the front and cut the "line." No tvs in the seats. I am vegetarian and was not given a vegetarian option! Very Inconsiderate of this airline. Even worse, the flight attendant basically told me that it was my fault because I didn't ask for one in advance. Extremely poor customer service! Had I been asked, I would have requested a vegetarian meal but I did not see that option when booking."

When I got to Copa check in they told me I didn’t have an assigned seat (and I got there very early) and that she couldn’t help me get a seat assignment until I got to the gate. Then at the gate very poor customer service and she gave me a middle seat without even really looking at the flight. On thr flight food was mediocre. Not good aircirculation on the flight, ac was not good. And I was also on the last group to board, boarding process was a disaster. Will not use Kayak again."

Cons: "The tickets we paid for back in August of 2017 were bought for a direct flight. When checking in for our flight back to JFK on March 18th, they told us there were no seats available. They then put us on a connecting through Orlando, all of us had to sit separately now. We had to each spent money we did not intend to use for this vacation on food since our day was well extended beyond expected and parking fees for keeping our car at JFK longer. Once arrived in Orlando, two out of the four of us missed our flight to JFK because they gave us the wrong boarding passes and because we are students in college, lost multiple hours of studying tonight. We had to then work with Delta who was kind enough to find us a flight multiple hours later. Like said before, this split our group up and caused multiple difficulties. We will never fly Copa again. They believe a $400 Copa airlines voucher is justifiable for what happened but it is not. I’ll never fly with them again for this inconvenience so a voucher doesn’t do anything."

I had bought a bottle of liquor in Colombia and they would not let me get on the plane to NYC with it. Luckily I had a large shopping bag that I got from the gift shop in Colombia, so I was able to dump everything that was in my nylon tote into that shopping bag and they haphazardly wrapped my bottle in one of my sweaters and checked my tote. The employees said this was a new policy in Panama City, but many other travelers were confused. Passengers should be warned!"

She paid $10 for 2 bottles of water at the stand just before the gate and when she tried to come in again they did not allow her to go through... really a ridiculous situation!"

Cons: "Not only were we not told in advance that we'd have to go through security again in order to sit in the gate area, but we weren't allowed to bring in beverages we bought right next to the gate and there was no bathroom in the area we were being held before we were boarded. You'd have to go through security again. Also, the security guard accused my tall, black, injured, elderly father of being suspicious because he was sweating in spite of the fact that she wouldn't let him drink water unless he left the gate area even though he was injured. Never flying Copa again and never going to Panama again, not even for a layover."

Cons: "When you select the meal options in advance through the Copa Airlines site the phrasing of those ptions is not very clear and I was stuck with a choice I didn’t want (“meal with fruits” - it was pretty confusing in English or Spanish - while I assumed perhaps the dessert items would be substituted with fruit, instead they brought me a pretty mediocre fruit platter). They said there was no way to change this. Copa airlines personnel at Panama airport actually were kind of rude about it."

Cons: "I would avoid flying into Newark internationally if I have the option next time. Besides from the obvious that the airport is outdated, it is totally understaffed. There were about a staff of four directing international travelers at Passport Control and they were impolite which created a stressful and unwelcoming experience. The second issue I experienced was at baggage claim. Due to some issue I didn’t personally experienced, non-US passport holders experienced major delays entering the country. This resulted in hundreds of luggage that were left unclaimed from a previous flight still on the carousel. There was only two airport staff at this area so people from the BA flight had to take these the bags off the carousel inorder to make space for our flights bags to fit. It’s was totally chaotic and easily avoidable if there were more airport staff managing this area. This international airport is a national embarrassment, and if you’re a foreign traveler, I would highly discourage you from flying into Newark."

We were held up at every entry point, not told what to expect and thus had to prepare for screening on the fly, while hoping our plane would wait for us, which it did and the many people who boarded after us. Entertainment system was slow and non-responsive and my husband's had to be reset to even start to work. One bag left behind, but delivered promptly within days of arrival"

Purchasing a plane ticket on your airline for a specific should be enough to guarantee a seat on a plane. It's absurd that I spent 900 for a ticket and that doesn't guarantee me that I'll be on the flight."

British Airways was unhelpful, not compassionate and completely oblivious to their own mistake! I had to purchase a new flight home and was stuck in the airport for over 6 hours! not to mention that they told us the air craft was smaller than the originally scheduled craft so they made us check everything including our carry ons. Thankfully I didn't need any of my medication. This was absolutely the WORST flight home!"

At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

As for there earlier claim of no 3 seats available next to each other .. it was obviously a lie because the seats just across from me where empty. I hope not to fly on American Airlines again."

Due to an issue with a bag on board without the associated passenger we had to taxi back to the stand for it to be removed before we could take off. This cost us an hours delay. There was limited apologies for this, no refreshments provided during the wait and poor communication of this. During the flight the staff were inattentive and sparing with refreshments. Service generally did not live up to expected level associated with an inter-continents flight. The flight was turbulent but crew and captain seemed over cautious with it and crew had to remain seated unnecessarily at times and at the detriment of passenger service. One stewardess wouldn’t even let me finish a drink before removing it from my hand claiming we were about to land and she had to sit down because of turbulence. We were still 40 mins from landing at this point! All in all a pretty bad flight, and it’s safe to say I won’t be flying American Airlines again."
