While people who had 2 bags per person with the carry on roller bags bigger than ours was allowed to carry the bags inside."

It's not safe, healthy or humane to ask human beings to sit for hours in tiny spaces with very little air (on top of everything else, the plane was mercilessly hot the whole time). Next time I will choose a European carrier--even the discount Euro carriers are better than any US airline."

And to top it off my boyfriend and I had very expensive osprey packs we were traveling with .. We used a copa plastic bag to wrap them up in Vegas so the strings would not get caught .. When we received our packs in Puerto Rico YOUR employees had taken the bags off and cut my boyfriends 300 dollar bag! I will never fly again with your airline."

There were also a number of hyper social passengers onboard who gathered in the aisle or near the exit doors drinking liberally and socializing loudly. While the excellent flight crew tried to manage them, they were undeterred. Food was mediocre. My entertainment screen didn't work, the passenger in front of me fully reclined their seat prior to takeoff (during the delay) and didn't return it to upright until moments before landing. All and all an unpleasant journey."

He said yes let me gather this trash and ill be back. He never returned. Then everyone was served their meals and I then was also skipped. Flight crew congregated again in the middle and my sister and I had to wave our hands up in the air to grab anyone's attention so I could get my meal. At that point they were out of the vegetarian option and I got a small oh we didn't mean to skip you comment. Pretty disappointed with this flight."

When we notified them, all they said was "Oh! Someone should've told you. Sorry." The one in charge of the crew offered us champagne but never came back with it. So with my girlfriend, we spent 8 hours from London to NYC in darkness with no entertainment despite having paid for it. Finally, I've been trying to get in touch with customer service for 3 weeks now and I still haven't gotten a hold of anyone."

Pros: "We did land OK but JFK was snowed in and this probably caused the many problems we encountered. Iq always have bad luck flying in and out of that airport so I don't completely hold BA accountable. Staff we polite and efficient."
Cons: "We were stuck in the plane for an hour and a half after landing at JFK. On the ground they ran the engines so loudly my husband got a terrible headache. We mentioned the noise problem but were ignored. Once allowed to debark we were crammed into a long cold hall and waited another 1/2 hour before moving towards immigration clearance. To top it off the baggage conveyer system was broken and we waited another 45 minutes before they shut the building down. So we left with no luggage exhausted. One piece of luggage was left back in London. Not pleasant at all. We did get our luggage returned 3 days later. That was good."
Cons: "Only frustrating thing was that i missed my flight due to traffic and poor uber service. When i got to the airport i wasn't allowed to check in. This caused me to be charged a $275.00 late fee for my ticket and my friends. Since i lost my phone when it fell out of my pocket onto the train tracks as i entered the heathrow express i wasn't able to transfer funds to pay for the $550.00 worth of ticket transfer fees. It was a huge issue but eventually it was sorted. Not knowing if you will be able to get back to your county or not is a very stressful experience. Wish i could get my $550.00 back. Cons: "Surprised by a snarky employee at gate check for my connecting flight home today. I fly with AA nearly every week for work. They grabbed my bag from me and insisted it be checked. I said I didn’t want to pay for checking and that it contained fragile items. It was a little over-stuffed for the scale. When I went to open it and remove some bulky items to put in my purse, they snatched my suitcase away and refused to let me touch my bag. I find this to be completely unacceptable. They had the gall to suggest I go to an airport store, buy a “suitable suitcase,” and take a later flight home. They made a scene and called a supervisor who kindly and promptly let me in my suitcase. The employee then spoke negatively about me loudly to nearby colleagues and refused to make eye contact. After the supervisor let me in my bag, I got on the plane with my suitcase. At one point, this employee made me feel like I was going to be kicked off of my flight; this was so unnecessary and extremely unprofessional. AA - your employees are better than this."

After that, we were told there would be another 30 minute delay. Once we were on board and the cabin doors were closed we were told there would be another 55 minute delay. Also, LGA is such a mess these days due to construction and would have been nice to get an email notification beforehand about it. We barely made our outgoing flight!"

Pros: "A short flight that was even shorter because we arrived early. Luggage arrived promptly at Baggage Claim, too. American has flights between Chicago and New York practically every hour, which is very convenient. They might as well have a shuttle. Gate staff and flight attendants friendly and helpful. Love the upgraded individual consoles for the entertainment."

Cons: "The flight attendant was unfriendly at boarding. He did not say or play any pre-flight safety announcements. We were told the flight might have to refuel in Richmond due to major weather delays in LGA. When we were landing they said they expected a refuel and a quick turnaround in Richmond. On the plane after landing, I learned via my phone's internet the flight was cancelled. They never announced it on the plane. At the final moment before we disembarked, the crew told us to be sure to take our belongings. When we landed, Flightaware showed delays of 45 minutes at LGA. AA never took responsibility for the problem though the gate crew mentioned they canceled the flight because the crew was going to be over their maximum hours. AA really couldn't plan to allow for up to an hour delay? I feel disrespected and even deceived. Although it was clear that flight attendant really needed to get off that plane. At the gate, we were told there were no available flights to NYC and were stranded overnight in Richmond. AA did offer a hotel pretending it was a courtesy since they claimed the problem was weather related and not theirs. We chose to stay with relatives and were told AA could only provide transportation from the airport which we did not need. We often have problems and cancellations on this route from when it was branded a US Air route to the present, but this was egregious."
