"Appears to have been delayed to wait for other crews to get to Miami, its tough now but schedules missed count"

"Our favorite flights. Straight shots, with as much comfort as one would expect."

Pros: "We flew from Anchorage to Boston via Seattle. If there had not been a delay in Anchorage, the flight would have been excellent. However, there was a mechanical problem earlier in the day with a plane to Cincinnati. Our flight was scheduled to leave Anchorage at 4pm, but Delta decided to take our pane from us and use it as a substitute for the original but nonfunctional Cincinatti plane. A ridiculous decision. The Cincinnati people already had missed all their connections, but now all the Seattle people missed theirs as well. When we finally got to Seattle 3 hours late (just before midnight), the desk agent said that Delta had no hotel rooms for us and also no hotel vouchers. We thus had to find a room and pay for it on our own. The next day, we had been rescheduled to Detroit and then on another flight from there to Boston. The flight to Detroit arrived nearly 30 minutes late, and we just barely made our connection. Had we missed it, we would have had to spend that night in Detroit. Delta did its best to keep the two of us together. On the Seattle-Detroit flight we were on opposite sides of the aisle in the same row, but that was in a row right behind a bulkhead, making it easy for us to walk over to each other. On the Detroit-Boston flight we were next to each other. Both flights were completely full, so Delta must have made some effort to keep us together as well as possible."
Cons: "Delta should not have made the dumb decision to take the Seattle-bound plane and use it as a substitute for the malfunctioning Cincinnati plane. Delta should have provided accommodations for the stranded travelers once they arrived in Seattle."

Despite guaranteeing anyone with a connecting flight would all be taken care of, here I am still stuck in Amsterdam airport... delayed another 10 hours. The service after arrival was poor and slow..2 hours to get new flight"

Cons: "... on top of that I kindly requested to speak with a supervisor and i was denied it. As a customer I deserved that. I would a ticket with Aerolineas and nowhere it said it was delta. I followed the baggage allowance explained on kayak website and on Aerolineas Argentinas. I took a bicycle which is free and i pay $100 to packed it as Aerolineas wanted. When I arrived it was a Delta flight and they told they don't allow bicycles and that i had to play $150. Aerolineas website and kayak clearly says that bicycles were free on my flight. I show the agent my ticket and that no where it said delta to consider what he was saying since it is an alliance but i was not informed about it. He said no and after wait there for a while before boarding i kindly ask to speak with a supervisor and the denied it and disappeared. I request a refund of my fee to you for providing incorrect information."

I like that I can choose the entertainment I want and that everything is at my fingertips including flight info, food and beverage options, etc. it’s relatively comfortable but it’s not near the level of Virgin America or JetBlue."

It is super confusing where you need to go, drop bags, etc. the weird part is Check in was in terminal 3 and gate at terminal 2. That is a long walk back and forth. There is probably a more efficient way of doing this. Besides that, they need to do a better job communicating that seats are changing and not Reggy before boarding. Though I can understand it can get crazy because people will panic but it’s not great heading up to enter in not knowing if you are sitting in window when you picked it for a reason. Otherwise, everything went smoothly."

Cons: "My wife was told she could not board our flight from Boston to Paris because her passport was expired, even though it was not expired. We were told that in Europe passports cannot expire within 3 months of your departure. However, Delta never let us know about this rule until we literally were boarding the plane. How they could not make us aware of this until we were boarding the airplane is unbelievable and unacceptable. This has ruined our vacation which has been in planning for the last six months."

Cons: "Everything! Crew were terse, rude and inattentive. Due to an issue with a bag on board without the associated passenger we had to taxi back to the stand for it to be removed before we could take off. This cost us an hours delay. There was limited apologies for this, no refreshments provided during the wait and poor communication of this. During the flight the staff were inattentive and sparing with refreshments. Service generally did not live up to expected level associated with an inter-continents flight. The flight was turbulent but crew and captain seemed over cautious with it and crew had to remain seated unnecessarily at times and at the detriment of passenger service. One stewardess wouldn’t even let me finish a drink before removing it from my hand claiming we were about to land and she had to sit down because of turbulence. We were still 40 mins from landing at this point! All in all a pretty bad flight, and it’s safe to say I won’t be flying American Airlines again."

Even after seeing it said so in the computer system, they refused to honor it. So this time, I gave up and boarded with the last group. No prior warning was given that this plane would not allow for carry on luggage in overhead bins. Further were no charging ports on board, no free WiFi, no adjustable headrests, and the seats did not recline. There were no kosher cookies."

Cons: "AA didnt give a boarding pass because of an error in their computer. When it was finally resolved the flight was gone and all they could say was sorry and said they would refund the money. They would not accomodate us or try to get us on another flight until they day of the returning flight. Unfortunately because of this my father missed seeing his friends and family who he has not seen in over 40 years for a reunion. We never received notification that anything was wrong with the flight and we were given the run around for 2 hours until they realized it was their fault and we missed the flight. Then they just offered a refund. In my opinion they were overbooked and did this on purpose, because it could have been resolved in minutes. I am disappointed with all parties involved including Kayak because of not notifying us of a problem. Thanks for ruining possibly the last time my father would be able to see his family and friends."

Cons: "I bought some items when I was in Belize I get to Dallas to check my items into my bag and American Airlines has one person checking in bags and one guy standing in the hallway with a red coat on telling us where to go so I stood in the line for and hour and ended up loosing my items and missed my flight so I'm on a seven hr wait cause American Airlines can't get bags checked in on time"

The first time (April) the crew was late which made me late to my connecting flight in which there were no more flights to my destination for the rest of the day (Jamaica) had to spend the night in Miami and miss a very important meeting. The second flight from Miami to NY 8/22 was delayed twice in which Im still not sure why but i had to deal with other angry passengers and they're rudeness which made my experience bad. I want American Airlines to be great. I just want to fly with them without a problem for once. JetBlue always gets it right"

"4 hour delay, so booked us on another flight that then was also late, missed our connecting flight. Stuck in Newark for another 24 hours until they could rebook us to finally get home."

Cons: "When we arrived, we found that our luggage had been destroyed... The wheels were broken off and there were large rips in the suitcase.... It was a disappointment because we are both disabled and it is very difficult to drag a large bag through sfo without any wheels. United did offer a $75 voucher which was about half the cost of the bag. We were tired and accepted it."

Cons: "We we're delayed at customs and missed our flight. We were told we were re-booked on a flight, so we ran across the airport, with two small children, to make that flight only to be told that weren't actually re-booked and needed to go standby. We then waited in line at customer service for two hours to be informed that United won't pay for a hotel. The customer service rep. did offer that if we wanted to take our kids across the airport, now at 11:30 at night, we could look for a United Supervisor in Terminal E, and if we were lucky enough to find one, they might override the policy and cover the hotel. Really! I understand that United doesn't have control over customs, but United did book an international flight with just over an hour layover, knowing that any slowdown in customs means missed flights. That's fine. The problem I have is when it happened, United's Customer Service model was to provide misinformation, incredible slow service, and what seemed like a complete lack of interest by United employees to do anything to make the situation better. There were no supervisors at the service counter, only 1 representative for an hour or so, and when the other representatives showed up, they were discussing going on break and going home. All with a very long line of people stuck in the airport waiting to get some help. I could accept this as an isolated instance, but since booking this trip, I have been getting the same level of service over the phone while trying to submit a refund request for my son who did not join us on the trip. United's 24 hour refund policy has taken 6 weeks and many hours online and on the phone and I still have no idea what the status of that request is, and apparently neither does anybody at United. The interaction I have had with your employees have been friendly and courteous, but extremely time consuming, with a lot of incorrect information and no resolution. Very mediocre at best."

Cons: "Boarding the plane was slightly hectic, but due to lack of attention on the passengers part. A seat was double booked and the crew handled it quite well in addition to a woman who insisted on sitting next to her older child but hadn't planned for it."

Then when we got to Houston we have to wait for the gate to open because the gate shorted out. The worse experience ever"

Cons: "Tried to charge us $200 for 'oversized luggage' when we have flown with that bag 2 other times. The UA tag was still on it! Then, after the kiosk agent slapped my hand away from the machine, I asked for a supervisor, who declined the bag anyway. But after prodding asked for a solution, a box(nice and convenient to handle through an airport) & we had to throw our expensive piece of luggage away, only to see a worker pull it away from the trash. By this time, it was 20 minutes until departure and I had to ask the same supervisor for assistance, pointing out our situation. Are these workers not trained to know which flights are leaving when? Or do they just not care at all? Worried we might not make the flight, we asked for a ride from 2 transit vehicles(I have a rebuilt knee and can't go fast) and you guessed it, were denied. Regardless, we eventually made it to the gate to be greeted by a 'oh there you are' where I tried to grasp for some, for any understanding from this company. Ok, here's the kicker: when we got on the plane, there were many open seats in the middle. My mom asked if we could sit in one and was told that it would be $91, even though the flight wasn't full. What is really going on? So there we all cram into the back of the plane. I am Not exaggerating when I tell you that I could not extend my are fully in front of me-that's how close the rows were!! The video was playing the safety message and we all looked at each other knowing that there was no physical way to reach under the seat 'in the case of a emergency'. The flight was turbulent, but you can't really help Mother Nature & we arrived alive, so I'll give you that. But as we landed, a piece of the seat in front of us landed on my moms foot. Pros: "Quick board. Nice attendant who covered whole plane. Even though the plane was older and had less seats, the seats had more room than the last flight.Made me wish I always had an older plane if it meant more room!"
Cons: "Everything went great. Plane was at opposite end of airport, but that's just an unlucky coincidence."

Cons: "United botched my boarding passes at security so I had to run back and get the correct one, catching my bags to see if they were going to the right place"
