The food was fine, I was in economy so wasn’t expecting more. Would have liked an entree like pasta/lasagna. Entertainment/movies were ok. I have Apple TV & HBO so I was searching for new releases. But these are just my preferences for food & entertainment. The flight was good. I like the design of your seat backs/tray tables with the extra cup holder and screen holders
Alaska Airlines demonstrated their insensitivity and lack of compassion when I asked for an emergency rescheduling/cancellation due to a dire family emergency. My father was in the Hospital ICU with a terminal prognosis with no other family in the state to help manage the situation and I called AA to ask whether something could be done about moving my flight to a later date, but the AA agent on the phone was firm in not offering any alternative other than to tell me I had to eat the entire cost of the flight. I did not appreciate having to manage that loss on top of juggling time-sensitive matters with my family as my father and I dealt with his life-threatening emergency. I'm very disappointed in the airline for not even attempting to provide assistance other than to quickly shut me down completely. I was really shocked with their treatment of the matter and unlikely to use their airline again.
The flight was canceled and dumped everyone in Albany. I still haven’t received reimbursement for transportation for getting to NYC or appropriate compensation for the cancelled flight.
Alaska airlines agent helped me greatly to reschedule my flight. The flight was also very comfortable and the flight attendants were very friendly.
More efficient with checking lines and boarding/checking bags when needed.
A TV Screen and movies would have been a great addition. The Alaska Terminal at JFK is TOO BIG!!! You need to go up and down 3 escalators to get to your gate and to baggage claim -- and all this while you are carrying your backpack, other bags, etc. I don't know what they were thinking. You can easily miss a flight if you don't add in at least 30 minuites to get to a gate.
We brought our own food on board. Did not use entertainment. Airport agents knew my husband arrived in a wheelchair and they moved us forward in the cabin from assigned seats. Such a gift! We requested wheelchair assistance when we reserved the flights, but the request disappeared from all 4 legs of round trip. However, very easy to add at the airport.
That flight was a terrible experience. Flying to Portland was not much better. I will not ever fly Alaska Airlines again. I have a temporary disability due to recent neurocervical surgery. I cannot lift heavy things, I cannot walk long distances without vertigo and fainting, and I required wheelchair assistance. I showed up an hour and a half before my flight. The wheelchair queue assistance person was rude and chastised me for showing up so late. An older couple showed up almost an half an hour AFTER me, and she was sweet as pie to them. There was a long wait for wheelchair assistance as they were backed up. When I got to the gate, the gate attendants were rude and again, I got chastised for being late, even though it was not my fault they were backed up. When I asked for help with my bags and boarding the plane, they told me it was my fault and they were not obligated to help me. I was treated like a big inconvenience because I had a wheelchair and I couldn't "just walk." One of them literally rolled her eyes at me. I kept silent, because I just wanted to get home and I felt like they would not let me on if I complained, but I was practically crying. When I got down to the door to board, the wheelchair person left, and I asked the flight attendants for help. They said, well, you'll have to stand there and wait, even though I said I couldn't stand very long, and another passenger said, "Oh just let me do it" and helped me down. I tried not to bother the inflight attendants, because everytime you did, they acted exasperated and stressed out. I paid $7.50 for a bag of Pirate Booty and a tiny turkey beef stick for dinner. I needed wifi to work during the flight, and it kept crashing on me repeatedly and resetting my online work, costing me valuable time. I had to pay twice to get it on my laptop and phone, but I did get a refund when I returned. When I got to NY, the Portland agents had not arranged for a wheelchair to meet me and I had to stand for fifteen minutes waiting for the very nice young man who found an empty chair and had to wheel me and another passenger with carry on luggage to the front of JFK all by himself. Never, ever again. You all should be ashamed of how you treat people with disabilities. The other people who needed assistance to get on this flight did not fare much better than me, from what I could see.
I missed my flight and was not able to rebook. I switched to jet blue for a same day flight. Both legs were cancelled. Unacceptable.
Very below what I expect from Alaska/ On Feb 19, my foight JFK to Portland Flight was three and a half hours late leaving JFK (NOT due to weatherat departure or destination) In addition to losing this time, I then had to take a taxi home, rather than public tranist due to the late hour. This added $45 to the cost of the trip.
The plane was old and thus the seats were not good. No cushion left whatsoever, and it all was a bit worn out.
flight was delayed 4+ hours. there was really no understanding of why? weather? the last hour of delay was post boarding. pilot seat was broken. was that the real reason? nonetheless, long day of inconveniences.
Be on time? When not on time a circling for over an hour offer more than 1 bag of chips to the passengers? It was a 7 hour flight by the time we got done.
The baggage belt was not updated on the Delta App and was displayed on the wrong belt board. Was not expecting this to happen.
Landed without a gate ready. Plane is extremely old and dirty.
Got to fly my favorite plane, the Boeing 767-400ER, to Milan. The soft blush pink mood lighting during meal service was very beautiful and gorgeous. The service was top-notch, and our flights were on time. I highly recommend Delta.
The crew, and fellow passengers, were super gracious and kind. There seemed to be plenty of bin space even though the plane was full. It’s nice to get a glass of wine with dinner in Premiere seating, and there was a lot of food.
Delta One is extraordinary. I fly business when somebody hires me. I just wonder why there is such a chasm between business class and the insanely inhumane and nonsensical coach. The seats are not large enough to fit even my tiny wife. We fly 10% of what we did because we don’t want to pay 5-10 k but for $400 it’s unbearable. It seems like the accountants took over and made stupid decisions. Screw in 20 extra seats and make it so unbearable that people fly 90% less. Just put the damn price up and put some proper chairs in. But business, yay.
Air travel sucks. It continues to be awful for all airlines. No shame on delta alone.
Delta canceled our flight and we had to scramble to find another airline to get home. Phoenix is not a delta hub so they didn’t have another plane. It would have been a red eye though Salt Lake City. Getting in at 5am. No bueno.
