Whatever airline you choose, spring for a class with more leg and overall body room than economy (or whatever the cheapest class is called).
PatrickFlew with DeltaBOS-AMSJun 2025
Be prepared for a very confusing time in Schipol airport where directional signage is not helpful. In one visit our group had to be escorted to the particular carrier’s desk as we were told we’d not be able to find it ourselves.
Verified travelerFlew with Scandinavian AirlinesBOS-CPHSep 2024
Check with the airline and validate that all of the advertised benefits are indeed available. Paying higher price for the Economy Plus tickets may not be worth it for you as a number of advertised benefits are not available, definitely not in Boston
YvetteFlew with SWISSBOS-ZRHNov 2024
You pay for everything on Swiss air. The airport in Zurich is large, so does not leave a lot of time to get between gates if your flight is in another terminal.
BradFlew with IberiaBOS-MADOct 2024
Make sure to book your own seats and don’t leave it up to someone else. We were supposed to have window and aisle seats and did not. We had to sit in the middle of the plane which is cramped and difficult to move let alone eat.
JonFlew with Scandinavian AirlinesBOS-CPHJun 2024
Be prepared for a possibly short layover between flights. Mine was only 45 minutes and needed most of that time to clear passport control and get across the airport. That said - it seemed that the SAS crews were used to that. On the plus side there was no waiting in the terminal.
Verified travelerFlew with IberiaBOS-MADJul 2024
Good luck- have your phone charged and your confirmation number handy
BarbaraFlew with Aer LingusBOS-DUBMay 2024
Pack what you need in a carryon since it is likely you'll arrive without luggage.
MaximFlew with TAP AIR PORTUGALBOS-LISMar 2024
I was waiting for a flight boarding announcement in the Lounge in terminal C at Logan Airport in Boston, but the announcement never came. If I did not go to the gate to check, I might have missed the flight. So, do not count on the airline to communicate flight boarding information to the lounge staff. They are supposed to do that, but, apparently, sometimes it does not happen.
Verified travelerFlew with British AirwaysBOS-LHRJan 2024
Leave plenty of time if connecting in London as most connecting flights are in a different terminal which requires a bus or tram ride. Also if you’re not at the gate 30 minutes ahead they will not let you on the plane. Apparently this is a Heathrow not airline rule.

Three seats in first class were broken and while they were able to still acommodate us it was looking very touch and go and they had others they could not acommodate

Mechanic delay in addition to a 2 hour change in takeoff time was frustrating.

Delayed due to thunderstorms and no in-flight service due to rough weather — both of which are out of Delta’s control. Flight was good overall.

The flight attendants in SLC were rude. I arrived 40 minutes early to gate. Ticket said I needed check in for seat assignments and tried check in and attendants said they weren’t doing it. And proceeded to never call me to give me a ticket so when time to board I received the very last seat. Please relay to employees to do their job better..,

On this flight I felt the food offering was not as complete as on previous flights. The tomato salad was a bit off and there was nothing additional such a bread or butter. The breakfast was only one option, so you either ate what they had or ate nothing. The crew was efficient, but most seemed frustrated throughout the flight. The flight arrived early and was obstacle-free, so I’m overall quite happy, but the shine in the rest of the experience just wasn’t there.

The seats got pretty uncomfortable pretty fast. The armrests are bigger than on other planes, so I had less room in the actual seat. My butt hurt by the end of the flight. :/ comfort was the primary issue. The crew were fantastic!

I believe that a four-hour trip should have a meal. Delta had none.

Great flight with Delta! Boarding was quick and easy, the amenities were solid, and the plane was in great shape. The flight attendants had a fun, lively energy while staying professional. All in all, a smooth trip — even managed to catch up on some rest. Thanks, Delta!

I was uncomfortably cold on the plane. Other than that it was uneventful and therefore as enjoyable as a plane ride can be.

There was supposed to be a meal served, but there wasn’t and the major toilet was out of order

Terrible. The test of an airline is how they deal with problems. There is very little to differentiate between airlines. Aer Lingus failed absolutely. They lost one of my bags even though we had more than a 2 hour connection in Dublin. Trying to get it back has been awful. In checking on line I can see that the bag is in Edinburgh and it was supposed to be delivered today. It wasn't. The number we have in the UK doesn't answer. I had to pay for an international call to speak to somebody. All the woman at the call centre could say was be patient wait. I can tell you when it will be delivered nor can I tell you who the courier is.

Not JetBlue's fault but Aer Lingus never explained how to transfer to JetBlue.

Overall it was good experience and it was my first trip with Aer Lingus. One thing I was embarrassed was that someone occupied my seat so I was asked to use another seat. Due to this unhappy happening I almost missed the connecting flight because the random seat was far from the flight door. Food was fine, I liked the macaroni and cheese with fresh bread.

I was very disappointed that the online sys allowed me to get the boarding pass for the second leg of the trip, when I clearly request it for both flights!

It was my first transatlantic flight with Aer Lingus. Very enjoyable. Thank you for making international travel enjoyable again.

Not satisfying due to loss Luguage for 4days. Damage Luguage that had no way to fill up a report for and me as a client to spend more money and time to replace it. Thank you for soliciting my opinion, but it was unfortunately a very disappointing experience. Stephanie Zvi

We booked a flight from FCO(Rome) with a stop over at DUB(Dublin) going to JFK. Boarding from Rome was kind of chaotic since the airport I guess is very small and we needed to shuttle to the airplane. The gate agent just let everyone and anyone go without using the sections so that took a lot longer than usual boarding. From drinking to JFk boarding was good and organized. Amazingly the flights was very smooth sailing and we’ve flown American big airplane to small companies before. The aircraft’s itself is on the older side, can’t complain tho because the plane ride wa smooth. For a 3 hour plane ride, nothing was complimentary. But for the longer leg of the plane complimentary snacks, meals and drinks were provided which was great. The food wasn’t bad either. I would fly with them again, great price and good service.

Comfortable trip , flight attendants professional as always. Only complaint was the food, We fly Aer Lingus frequently, this was the first time the quality of the meal was poor.

Everything went well. I made my connection which is always a concern.

I appteciate the very courteous staff. The flight was good. Something that wasn't good was that my bag was only checked as far as Dublin and I had a connecting flight to Vienna. (That was a mistake the ORD desk made.) Fortunately the desk at DUB was able to re-tag without me having to re-check in (which initially it seemed I might have to do.)

Check-in guidance for transfer flight, boarding, in-flight service, seat comfort, etc.

The seats were not designed to comfortably see people in coach for more than 10 minutes

Flight was fine. Second meal ( fish sandwich on hard roll) was awful. My suitcase didn’t make the flight. It had been located, but won’t be delivered until tomorrow. Five days after flight

We flew TAP last October from Newark to Lisbon. The meal was bad. This flight had good food. Also, this flight was delayed. There were TAP employees waiting at Lisbon to make sure we made our connecting flight. I find the TAP website and app frustrating, but the service once we reached the airport was very good

The long wait at JFK made the trip horrible. Also not having enough buses when we deplaned was annoying

Flight was delayed on 6/20 to miss international connection. Next flight out was 24 hours later. Not acceptable.

Flight from FNC to OBO was cancelled. We were rebooked to Lisbon later in the day. It was inconvenient but it worked out ok in the end.

Food was edible, not great, and served by attendants who looked like they really were not happy working the flight. The section I was in was too warm making the 11 hour flight uncomfortable. Other areas on the plane were fine.

Checked bG chstgr was extremely high. Over $120. It was s bsit and switch knowing an international passenger would have t9 check a bag.

On time, politeness, food okay but entertneiment mediocre with only old movie and the so called new we’re 2 or 3…

Everything sucked. No food, one small glass of water, a tiny coffee, 5.5 hour delay with no customer service. Would never recommend flying them.

The crew was wonderful at check in, the gate and on board. Felt the luggage had more room than the passengers. The seats were smaller than most domestic U.S. airlines. I'm only 5'2" and I had little legroom. There were only 2 bathrooms in coach. Needed more. The flight was very smooth but not the most comfortable.

There was no lounge at Boston for us to use. Typically flying first class overseas comes with lounge privileges. The seats did not recline even a little. My headset only worked on one side. I felt like I was flying on Ryan Air, not Icelandic Air.

Boarded with no problems. Sat on the tarmac for an hour before taking off. We were the last ones on our connecting flight. Didn't think we were going to make it. Our flight to Iceland was similarly delayed. When we've flown other airlines, pilots have tried to make up time while in the air. This doesn't seem to be something that Icelandair does. We made all of our flights, but it was stressful and we didn't think it was going to happen based on the time we arrived.

The flight was delayed and as a consequence we missed our connecting flight. Were stuck for another 6h in Reykyavik. Appreciated that we got a generous food voucher at least. Would have liked to see more information upon arrival including a person waiting for connecting flight travellers and informing already that we will not catch the flight and directing us to the office dealing with the matter; unfortunately that didnt happen and we hence first needed to find out whether flight had indeed left already and then locate the adequate office to help us with booking us on the next connecting flight. Also my suitcase broke and it is not clear whether it is happened on the leg with Iceland Air from DC to Reykyavik or on the leg with Lufthansa from Reykyavik to Frankfurt. Finally, understood that it is a low cost company but at least provision of earplugs for free would have been nice, instead of making them buy.

Great experience on Icelandair flight from Newark to Amsterdam by way of Reykjavík. Courteous and professional staff. Food was solid. Service - outstanding. Cabin was a little warm.

Good service. No complementary food for international flight. WiFi kinda pricey. Got the job done for the right price.

Still one of my favorite airlines, but the entertainment options were a bit lacking. It didn't help that my screen didn't work on one of the legs of the trip.

The plane was very small and the aisle was so narrow that every time someone walked by they rubbed against me, so it was very uncomfortable.

Everything was good. Only issue comes from being vegan and flying. The food options are super limited.

Very caring crew on board. Didn’t have dinner as I was sleeping. Was seating in the emergency row so I had comfortable leg room

Had a nice little suite although I couldn’t close the door (but I didn’t ask anyone to help). 5K is a nice seat and very private (you look in on first class). Enjoyable flight and nice crew.

There was a slight delay. Otherwise, everything else was satisfactory.

Although the crew were great and the good nice, I might as well have been on Ryanair for the amount of space I had. Not good enough BA. I’d rather pay more and not feel like a human sardine.

The company that I bought my tickets through, Cheapflightsfares, failed to provide my confirmation information in a timely manner, so I was unable to check on at the country and therefore unable to make my flight. As a matter of fact, I STILL have not received the confirmation. After having read more and more reviews about the company, Cheapflightsfares appears to have scammed hundreds of hopeful travelers out of thousands of dollars. Please look into this company and, for the sake of anyone planning their next trip, stop allowing them to do business through you.

Love the A380 - loads of room. Headphone socket on my seat didn’t work. Sounds like a trivial issue? Well when flying long-haul the in-flight entertainment is what keeps you going so when it doesn’t work it’s a disaster. Pay attention to the details please BA. Spoiled what was otherwise an excellent flight with the usual brilliant crew.

Crew were fantastic can’t fault them at all. Couldn’t do enough for us

Crying baby the ENTIRE flight. Not your fault, but I paid 2700 for a premium economy ticket and it wasn't worth it. should have just stuck with coach. flight attendants very mediocre - minimal effort. Plane didn't seem very clean. Didn't have any cleansing wipes - most airlines give you this when you board. Flat screen scrolling didn't work. Toiletry case a joke - why bother at all?

The overall seat and cushion needs to be updated. It was hard and no support. My butt was numb for most of the flight. The food was subpar at best being in premium economy cost. The flight attendants were excellent and attentive during the whole flight. Disappointed I had to select our seats 24 hours prior.

Did not use entertainment Food great Stewards had an attitude, not the best but below average from my other flights with AA or BA
