All travelers, 2 years of age or older (including US citizens and transit passenger) must present a negative COVID-19 viral or antigen test result issued 72 hours prior to departure or have a proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days prior to boarding the plane.
Travelers must complete a disclosure and attestation form before departure.
Exemptions or waiver to the testing requirements may be granted by the CDC on an extremely limited basis when emergency travel (like an emergency medical evacuation) must occur to preserve someone’s life, health against a serious danger, or physical safety and testing cannot be completed before travel.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.
Travelers arriving in New York State must complete the Traveler Health Form.

Either way, not the flight attendant’s fault, for me not knowing, but I was uncomfortable asking them because of the crabby looks on their faces and their unwillingness to politely answer questions."

After calling several times, they would now give me my flight info, said I had to go thru Kayak. I stated they charged my credit card, they should have the info. A big struggle with them. Cons: "My 6pm flight on 6/19 from Boston-Minneapolis was cancelled due to "weather" around 10am. I was never notified of the cancellation from Spirit or Kayak? I took a 3 hour train ride to Boston unknowing that I was going there to be told the only flight to my destination was cancelled. Thats error number one. I talked to an agent standing by the self check in Kiosks who assured me that Spirit would get me on a flight with another airline. I waited in line another hour only to be told that they would not put me on another airline and that they would either book me on the next flight through them (1pm the next day) or give me a refund (which was significantly less than what I paid). Error number two. I then asked if I booked on the next flight, 20 hours from the time at the moment, if they could put me up in a hotel. The response I got was a flat out no. Mind you, I was next to a man speaking with another agent who was booked on another airline and also witnessed the person in line right in front of was given a hotel for the night! Error number three. Now, I spoke to theee different agents throughout the course of trying to find out my options and got different reasons why from all three, one of which was the supervisor! Error number four. I ended up finding the next to last seat on SunCountry that evening, which I paid for out of pocket, which cost more for a one way ticket than my original RT through Spirit! All this being said, having horrible customer service from Spirit and putting a large dent in my wallet....I will never fly Spirit again and will have my doubts about Kayak as well for not notifying myself or the countless others whom I spoke to about the cancellation that happened at least 8 hours prior to when the flight was supposed to leave!"

Cons: "The flight was delayed quite a bit, then when we finally boarded they said there was repairs that needed to be made on the plane, didn't explain what, and so we sat at the gate for a long time, I believe an hour, with little further update as we waited. When we did eventually get airborne, the ride was very bumpy but again no comment/explanation/apology was given. I also was very unimpressed that you couldn't even get a small cup of water but at to purchase even that. It seems to me that even if everything else is for sale you should be allowed drinking water on a flight in this day and age. In some states it's illegal to refuse drinking water to an individual, but apparently it's ok to do when you're trapped in a plane a mile high. Someone sitting at my gate had been delayed almost 12 hours with their spirit flight. After this experience I will never fly with them again if I can at all help it."

They delayed boarding because they thought there were still people on the plane which turned out not to be true and different flight attendants told different stories to different customers. The baggage came in very slowly at the end and a number of people had bags lost"

Cons: "There was three desperate delays of our flight without any reason given. There were no customer service reps anywhere to be found during these delays to talk to. The gate at Logan airport for Spirit airlines is seperate from the rest of the airport so if you wanted to get any food or drinks you had to exit the gate and go through security again to get back in. None of the seats on the plane recline so you are sitting straight up in very uncomfortable chairs the entire flight. All of the power strips that were attached to the seats in the gate didn't work so you could charge your phone if you needed to. Also, on top of it all when you call customer service to file a complaint you wait on hold for 45 minutes and then they tell you to go to the website to file a complaint! What a joke of an airline. I will never fly with Spirit again no matter what."

And to check a bag it was $50 that I had no choice but to pay. The cheap tickets Spirit offers are just so sneaky because you end up paying so much in the end. Spirit is the worst airline."

They take FOREVER to get the bags to the baggage carousel (even when they make everyone pay extra to check a bag - but not as much to carry on a bag... you do the math). The flight was also delayed by 35 min. Once we got to our home airport, it took another 30+ minutes to even open the door so we could all get off the plane. It then took another 30 minutes once we all got down to the baggage carousel for the first bag to even come out of the baggage carousel."

Cons: "Terrible customer service- there was no one at the desk to check in at Boston Logan. I was in a line of about 5 people, and after 20 minutes a group of employees finally shuffled out and one of them was still eating food out of a cup while "getting ready to open", as he told us. He was inconsiderate and rude when telling me he wouldn't check my bag early, and also informed me with a smirk that my flight was delayed 3 hours as well. No explanation. The rest of the customer service I experienced from the gate attendants and flight attendants was apathy at best- a far cry from the service I've received with many other airlines. My flight home was delayed an additional hour, and upon boarding we found out this was due to "our plane" being used for a different flight. I guess I didn't think that a smaller airline would have so many issues, but I was disappointed almost every step of the way. The website had multiple issues while I tried to navigate the process of adding a suitcase & choosing a seat, and I wasn't able to get my boarding pass printed at home and had to sign back in twice because there were website errors. We landed a half hour early on the way to Boston, but had to sit on the tarmac for exactly a half hour because there are only two Spirit gates. Once landed, we also waited a half hour for our bags at the carousel. Maybe one of these things would go wrong with another airline, but I've never had so many in one trip. I had heard some negative reviews about the airline, and thought I'd give it a shot, but never again. I'd rather pay more money up front and fly with Delta than be miserable the entire time I'm en route somewhere."

Cons: "Spirit nonstop flight 616 from BOS to MSP on Tuesday July 26 was delayed for 4 hours due to mechanical problems with the plane, which was at BWI trying to depart for Minneapolis. Customers in Boston had to wait for it to be repaired in Baltimore and then flown to Minneapolis and THEN come back to Boston to pick up passengers. Scheduled departure was 7:42pm which got delayed four hours to 11:42pm resulting in a 2:20am arrival at MSP. Problem: At no time was this four hour delay announced over the loudspeakers to those waiting in the gate area, nor were there any options announced for those who could have returned home and flown the next day. Spirit did send email or text updates, but for those customers without cell phones or service, there was nothing. If I'd known, I could have gotten a good night's sleep at home and flown out the next day. Instead, it was four hours of tired adults and children waiting while restaurants and shops closed down with no updates announced. I don't mind the 'no frills' style, but Spirit"

Cons: "We should have realized when we booked that this was going to be bad. I knew that bags were extra, but when I bought the tickets it said a checked bag was $21. When I went to check in, we ended up having to pay $31 for each of our bags, because a carry on would have been $36. Then we had to pay $20 extra to sit next to each other. I get the bags, but if I'm buying two tickets you can't just put us next to each other? So we got a deal on the tickets but ended up paying an additional $200 at check in for all this stuff. If you're booking through spirit and there are two of you, I recommend packing all your stuff in one suitcase and just dealing with sitting in random seats if you really want to save money. Then the actual flight. We were supposed to take off at 7:42 p.m. We didn't board the plane until 8:30. We sat on the runway for another HOUR before taking off. When we got to Minneapolis, apparently there was nobody to answer the phone at the gate and we sat for another 20 minutes while the pilot called around for a gate. We will never fly Spirit again, what a nightmare."
